Today, I am in contemplation and prayerful thoughts of my Tito Bartholomew, who was a long time friend of my family. He was good friends and classmate of my uncle, Alex, during his childhood days in Valencia. I will remember his wonderful, beaming smile, his laughter and overall bright and goodness that he exuded to those around him. He was a good man, a God-fearing man. I can't help but cry.

May God have mercy on him, and most of all, may God grant strength and comforting care to his family, most especially his wife, and his children and grand children.

Friends, please pray for the repose of his soul.

Truly, it is important to swallow one's pride. It's not good to take things too personally. Today, I learned the important lesson of not taking things to personally. Fakk pride. Fakk it, really. I'm not going to allow myself to feel bad because ma sakit ahoang pride. That's one thing i need , that i want to really change.

Blessed Mother Mary, pray for me, and lead me towards a position in which i will not let my pride affect my decisions in life and position in life. Mother of Perpetual Help, help me in this. I ask this in the name of your son, Jesus Christ. Amen.

well, that was fun yesterday, me and my friends went for house trip in newly developed subdivision in Davao, went malling after that, ate at Ice Giants and went home to Digos, sleepover at another friend's house and had a non-stop chatting with them...

nanakit akong abaga ug right arm ug hinimo sa 54-day rosary novena by integrating all ways of praying it, including images of the 4 mysteries. now on my third day at it. hapit na gyod mahuman, after more than 50 pages. ako ning i-distribute to all relations and very close friends for them to decide to pray this for my sister's healing.

today was a day of contemplation as there are a great many things that require my decision on life choices. i trust in God's providence and guidance and that He will lead me in decisions. In my life, I had always taken the notion that i was the master of my own life, however, it is not necessarily so. I place my total dependence on God's divine providence and insurmountable presence in this poor man's life. For it is He who truly is in control, all the time.

that said, i look forward to a good day ahead.

remember, dear friends, God Is Good..all the time. Praise Him in times of joy, Praise him in times of trial, Praise him in times of pain...

This afternoon is a good one, filling up the last things for this particular course that I'm attending. I've also discussed to the Dean of the university of my pondering on resigning as the Director of the Department of Allied Health and General Education. I've been accepted for an internship position at Mercy Medical Center and I'm quite excited.

The Dean, whom I've befriended these past few months now, wanted me to reconsider my decision. She offered me, instead of resigning completely, to go part time as an Adjunct Professor of Medical Surgical class and Pharmacology. I told her I will consider it, however, have reiterated my acceptance of the Internship.

Decisions, decisions, decisions...

The saying is true, "When God shows you with opportunities, you must choose wisely..."

Today I received a call from Northshore Health Systems, one of the largest health systems in Chicago with an offer for Health Education Consultant position. This afternoon, I also received an email and then a phone call from a hiring manager from the City Colleges of Chicago for their vacant tenure-leading Professor of Physician Assistant studies.

I asked for opportunities in health education and God answers me with Heaven's blessings...Thanks Lord!

Now, the hard part...making the right choice.

Right now, am at home typing up / working on a paper on Human and Motivational Learning. Its an interesting paper, really, focusing on the academic imprint Tolman had on cognitive research on animal models.

I'm leading more closer to the Health Education Consultant position because this will enable me to start my medical internship at Mercy Medical and at the same time, be able to do health educational consulting.

Today I had a talk with the instructor for BNA (basic nursing assistant) who works in my department. We had issues regarding students' drug testing. Apparently some of her students were attending clinical sites without finalizing their drug test reports, which is in violation of school policy and procedure. I had to sit down this instructor and tell her of this.

Rarely do I have to do this where I get serious with the instructors in the department, however, today was that day for me.

I then had to talk to that student and inform him of how he cannot attend clinical orientation prior to finalizing drug screen tests.

This week is the last week for my doctoral class "Historical Systems in Psychiatric Medicine". I'm going to miss my instructor si Dr. Mark nga palamoot kaajo.

Yesterday I went to the Basilica of Mary Help of Christians in Germantown, Wisconsin. I went there with my little sister, Lorraine Angeli. I wish you all could have come and see it, 'twas truly beautiful and peaceful. We prayed with the Discalced Carmelite Friars.
