This week, I was asked by the president of the college to initiate grant research for the allied health & nursing department, which will be facilitated with the help of another M.D and Med Tech. We've already begun the application for federal grant registry , now the hard part begins -- deciding and choosing the right medical / nursing research grants for the college. The specifics of grant writing is new to me, but the research experience will be an invaluable asset for future medical research. The description and the target source part of the grant paper is the toughest part, i think. Hopefully by attending tomorrow's philanthropy meeting, we'll be able to network with other successful grant writers. This upcoming week will be a busy week for me. I've also just received another teaching syllabus for ACLS class , which is to start this Monday (Nov. 5). I need to effectively implement time management processes the next coming weeks.

I need to start jogging again. I feel stressed, man.

Good morning! Today is 8:25 AM Saturday here. I'm planning to head on out at 10 AM to the Sulzer Library to get some references on a policy paper I need to work on today, which is due on the 5th of November. The topic that I will be writing about revolves around ethical and unethical clinical practices. Reading the background tho, I can't help but wonder if I need to include business practices concepts and even social work concepts to this paper. Should I also add a meta-analysis prior to the conclusion or should I stick to the medical-psychological point of view?

Ah, ...that's the million dollar question...

I got back from work at 9pm last night, took a quick jog by the trail, took a cold shower afterwards. Read over the medical case studies that i need to work on ..for an hour or so. Then went to bed at 2am. Woke up at 8am. I am up and getting ready to head on out at 10 to work on this.

I don't know how, but I need to spit out 20-30 pages from now till 12 noon on Monday. hahaha!

Can I do it? Estoryaheeee!

I went to the library today and borrowed 12 books. They were text books on organizational leadership, hospital management, theories of hospital management, clinical ethics, ethical codes of conduct for clinicians etc. This weekend has been a "working" one for me. I have not rested because of this paper. Im going to take a nap in a bit. Perhaps a 5 hour nap would do me good. Then , if time allows, attend morning mass and then get back to this paper.

The time is 9:15 pm, so far I have 28 pages. I've only addressed 4 out of the 6 topics thus far. Well, i guess i'm going to have to pull another all nighter. This paper is due tomorrow at 12 noon. Can i finish 2 topics in a little over 12 hours? O man. I want to finish the rough draft by 4 am this morning , so i can do some proof reading at least.

I've been writing and researching this entire weekend. Been on my desk since Friday night , when i came back from work. I can't stay here any longer.

Going to save the files, and going to jog right now. I need to get my head away from all this effing writing.
