Okay. I see. Are you eating a lot of acidic food, Anna? Any foods that have low pH can trigger an acidotic state in the stomach. If you notice that you eat / drink a lot of acidic food , that can actually precipitate an ulcer. So try to lower the intake of acidic food.

Don't over-use the tums, Anna. That is calcium carbonate and too much of that can cause hypercalcemia (too much calcium in the blood) and cause rebound increase in acidity. Pa bantay kai intoxication can cause hypokalemia (very low potassium in the blood).

Ug naay history of ulcer sa tiyan, try to avoid smoking , avoid anything too spicy kai ma affected ang tiyan. Yes, avoid the excessive use of tums ha. It is okay to use it, pero, i counsel you not to over use lang. I hope you feel better, dear.

Bran, misag unsa pa kasayon ang recipe, kung wala kay skill sa pagluto, it wont taste the same

like my husband said, basta sapoton daw cya nga nagluto, walay lami ang food kay u need to cook with your heart

Lorenzo's Italian Sausages:

Ingredients:
1 green bell pepper, 1 spanish onion, 4 potatoes, rosemarie, thyme, basil, 4 large italian sausages, 1/4 cup of olive oil, 1 bottle of italian tomato sauce.

Directions:
1) Dice the sausages into cubes
2) Dice the onions
3) Dice the bell peppers (make sure to remove the seeds)
4) Pour the olive oil into a non-stick pan and let it heat up.
5) Add in the sausages and let it saute for a good 10 minutes.
6) Add in the diced onions ; let it mix for a good 5 minutes with lid closed
7) Add the potatoes into the mix and let cook for good 20 minutes. Periodically test to make sure that the potatoes aren't over-cooked.
8 ) Add in the Italian Tomatoe Sauce. Let mix for 5-10 minutes.
9) Add in the diced bell peppers. Let mix for 5 minutes.
10) Conservatively add in some salt. Tweak it to your own liking

11) Add in the rosemarie and thyme for flavor. Let cook for 10 minutes.
12. Turn off & Serve!

Note: When adding the ingredients , cook it in low-medium fire. Not too high. Mix regularly to prevent burning.

Serve with your own choice of red wine ! Voila!

Anna, at work, the nurses usually bring pinoy food during lunch break. I befriended the pinay nurses and eventually started to eat with them ! So, one time they asked me to cook and bring food to work. I acquiesced. I made Cebuano-style Humba and Sinigang Isda. O man! Gi higop higop ang sabaw sa mga nurses. A physical therapist, named Rachelle, said to me, 'Sus naman Doc Lorenzo! Sarap na sarap ang sinigang mo!' hahaha! Now at work they always ask when I'm going to cook again.

I'll make something for them again sometime this week. In honesty pod baya, they cook really good. They make really good pancit bihon, adobong manok, kare kare, fried rice etc.

I love these nurses at work. It's never a boring moment with them.

correction..my friend lives in New Bataan, ComVal... for the meanwhile, naa na sa Matanao, Davao Sur iyang mga kids.. pahirapan daw pag anhi niya kay grabe guba kaayo ang dalan tapos nanimaho na gyud ug patay.. good thing, naa pa siya nahabilin nga business sa Tagum so she could start again..We offer help to her pero she refused this time..
