Overreacting man ni oy! Labon nang mga foreigners nga magbitbit og mga batan-ong takirub, klaro ra ba kaayo, ok man maglakaw lakaw in public, wa man sila did-i, bisag dayag ang ilang pagkinupogay.

Guwardiya: Kung ga-tour mo, naay fee.
Turista: Ano daw, may "gator fee"?
![]()
Inigkaugma, na-headline na sa Inquirer nga ang Bohol resorts, ga-charge ug "ga-tor fee." In-ana na kasikat ang Bohol.

'slummish & rubbish' you should look closer to home, all you have succeeded in doing is making us more angry & determined & yes foreigners are more intelligent which is why with all the recent murders over there 7 investors have pulled out in the last few months alone!!! check your facts renegade!!!

We don't need this small time investor or Beer House is not a form of business that generate employment but exploiter of our ladies. Bring chaos to family relationship and attract prostitution. We don't need this kind of people, who belittle us and acting like they own the world. They think we don't have justice system in the country. Beside the corrupt Mayor and his police officers. Who harassed them in their establishment. Without this foreigner our Province will be peaceful. Tourist is nothing to do with our economy. Its the Boholanos who work abroad and sent part of our income to our relatives.
What we need that, Boholanos will invest in our shores. We got so many Boholano millionaire outside our Province who can provide better investment opportunity and keep our province peaceful.
Just come home every year as local tourist and build livelihood to fellow Boholanos. Help children to pursue higher education. Adapt a Boholano child as working student to pursue college education.
Many Children finished their studies thru working in the house. My Aunt has five student who finished Teacher as working student.
Lets do it, don't beg to foreigner for investment, in the long run we will see that Boholanos are peaceful people. Just enjoy Bohol in our twilight years.
Peace to ALL.

PLESE DO NOT COMMENT ON BELOW WITHOUT READING THE FULL POST AS IT NEEDS TO BE TAKEN IN CONTEXT. TY.
Do they need guns? Personally I hate guns.
I cannot beleive that you write such jokes about a serious subject. I am sure you are aware there are Filipino organizations all over the western world. Unlike the one being formed in Bohol, these are not formed because Filipinos abroad are being legally treated as second class citizens. They are not being formed because people feel threatened for their lives.
This murder in itself is not doing a lot of harm to the Bohol economy. But the aftermath is indeed very harmful. Some Filipinos' (very few mind you) anti-foreigner comments together with the total inadaquacies of the Bohol Police is very harmful.
I hear many people openly state that the tourist police are corrupt. The whole idea of tourist police is to protect tourists. They should be beyond any type of corruption.
Having been to Bohol on many occasions, and never feeling my security theatened, I can now see how easily that could go all wrong. I was always aware (although appalled) that in the event of an accusation by a local, a foreigner has no equal rights. This is indeed a draconian law and has no place in modern society, as it is also a pro-racism law.
If the Bohol authorities do not show to be investigating this murder in a satisfactory way, Bohol is in danger of becoming blacklisted by travel agents akin to Sulu.
Will I go back to Bohol? Yes. Because I think it is one of the most beautiful places in the world.
Would I live there? No. Coming from a country where the same crimnal laws apply to all citizens no mater what their colour or creed.

Hi Prescilla!
First of all I want to thank you for all your efforts to keep us informed about the latest news regarding the murdered Briton. This is detrimental for us Bol-anons since we are proud of our peaceful and friendly province.
Being a foreigner living in Germany, it is a wise step to organize yourselves as foreigners living in Bohol.
I think it is also advisable to determine the group’s purpose and mission so that you can plan an organizational structure to accomplish them.
This is a necessity to protect your interest and to act in solidarity in case of exigencies. Wishing you good luck and best regards.

Noisy? Yeah right noisy! Tell that to the marines... Tourist volume is increasing and it will become more so in the coming years. So how do you expect to cope up if you have an airport that's only capable of smaller crafts. Our house is very close to the present airport but does it bother us as well as the expats who live even much closer than ours? NOPE!!! Panglao Island is saturated and there's a problem there that's is unfortunately I can't divulge about it because it was emphasized that "it's off the record" Our fellow Bol-anons in the North also hunger for development and the benefits that tourism brings to the province thus the development of beaches in the North Eastern as well as North Western part of the province. BUT SORRY!!! Wa nay chance mong maka palit og mga properties dito kay developed napud didto and mas nindot pa didto kaysa Panglao. So kon mas motuo mo anang mga taw nga mga negative lang ang ipanulti unya diay to way hanaw sa ilang gipanulti pun-an pa gyus mga kaigsuonan nga nagpa tuo-tuong suhito unya otro pud diayng way alamag, naa pa gyuy kina raang Boholano attitude nga "WAIT and SEE", naa lagi's abroad pero taga BUK-I.D. man gihapug mentalidad.. na hala sige, way airport mahimo.. og manguli mog Bohol adto ramo sa Mactan Airport ha, pag fast craft lang mo padulong Bohol o ba kaha via Tubigon kay patyanay sa presyo didto sa pamasahi sa barko. Naa pa gani oras nga libre sakay padulong Cebu. O adto lang ba kaha mo dunggo sa Talibon City kon taga Norte mo dapit. Paminaw lang mo anang sigeg panaway og pagarpar, ampay man sad tingali ninyo noh? Well, it's one of the traits that can identify a Filipino anyway.."THE CRAB MENTALITY" Amen? Amen... pag churrr mo oist.. ga ngaag lang agi ninyo..

Has anybody given us real data on how much money is poured into Bohol by way of sales in tourism products, goods and services, etc. during every TBTK? Sometimes I pity the Sandugo Streetdancing and Miss Bohol Sandugo committees who go from town to town practically begging the mayors to send delegates to these events. There was even a time when they showed pictures of potential candidates for Ms. Sandugo (2005?) and all the mayors had to do was "select and fund". For one edition of the Sandugo Streetdancing, the committee had to invite contingents from other provinces because it could not get enough delegates from Bohol LGUs. TBTK is a good vehicle for uniting Boholanos from around the globe. But for us who, in one way or another, are involved in some of its Bohol-based preparations and actual activities, we can't feel this goal has ever been achieved. In 2003 we participated in the Ms. Bohol International pageant and prepared a beautiful and quite expensive float for our candidate (who eventually was declared first runner-up). On the day of the parade, another candidate boarded our float, even if the name of our sponsoring group appears in very big letters on all sides of the vehicle! When we told her balikbayan adviser that it was our float, she arrogantly told us to stay away insisting that we should give priority to them because they are visitors. She was so angry, we really stepped back. A good Samaritan lent us his pick-up sans balloons and flowers. I am sure that other TBTK frontliners have their own sad stories. I am not for abolishing TBTK. I only wish that balikbayans will see us hosts as co-equals, and not as "tig-".

Thema: Raffle draw in ICM last 4 January 2009
Datum: Mo., 26. Jan. 2009, 12:26
Dear Sir,
I would like to express my feelings of disappointment as a Bol-anon residing outside the country to the ICM establishments
I was informed that the last Raffle draw of the Island City Mall was not in accordance to the date as stated in the raffle ticket. It was held 4 January, 2009 instead of 6 January 2009.
The whole event might be trivial to you, or it might not be even important to you, but to some poor Bol-anons winning means something to hold on as a ray of hope for this bitter times of hardships.
I could have just enjoy my favorite meal, sit comfortably in my flat and forget the whole thing but I sympathised with my fellow Bol-anon who don´t get the nerve or chance to bring their voice of disgust.
I deem it proper that the ICM establishments give a written apology to their loyal customers.
very truly yours,
Tessie Bertumen Wilms
