Guv to meet resort owners
on public access ultimatum

Due process despite the apparent disregard for the public access zones. This was the message Governor Erico Aumentado aired Friday.

The governor's statement came on the heels of complaints from tourists and local residents who felt cheated when some resort owners in Panglao claim the beachfronts as their personal property.

The idea also encourages these owners to deny tourists not checking in their resorts, by banning them from the access to "their beachfronts."

The governor, who admitted he is aware of the arrogance of beach resort owners, reiterated that the national law mandates that 20-meter zones from the waterline during peak of high tide is open for public access.

On this, Capitol and the national environment department have issued parallel directives and warnings on these violations.

These directives however have been more honored on the breach, complained a texter complainant who was quoted in a governor's interaction with the local media Friday.

With the governor almost filled to the brim, many Boholanos admit they intend to see how the provincial executive would take the dare by resort owners despite his personal efforts to drive any permanent development within the salvage zone and open them for free access by anybody.

However, the governor revealed to the media his plans to put up the ultimatum.

This would be after he could meet the beach resort owners at the CPG Hall of the Capitol next week.

Moreover, the governor aired his call to owners during his weekly The Governor Reports, urging them not to miss the meeting to finally settle the matter.

The governor's move also came in time for a Malacanang dare for lawyers' group to file suits against government agencies violating environmental laws.

The palace pronouncement gives the backbone for President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo's wish for the country to go green. In fact, while in Bohol, the President aired her wish to keep Panglao Bohol from becoming another Boracay. (rachiu/PIA)

FIRST, INVADING THE TOWN OF PANGLAO BY CALLING IT DEVELOPMENT, NOW HE WANTS TO INVADE THE PRIVATE BUSINESSES THERE.

Granting he wnats to leave a legacy, but is it by hurting some people and their properties as well to gain notoriety and leave the so-called legacy and achievemnt in politics the only way?

IF THAT IS SO, " WHAT AN a** COULD A PLOITICIAN BE "

Why not try close all the businesses of let them build their own so they can please every people they wanted to please.   That at least is at his own expense..  NOT of the others'..

MIND.. DO YOU MIND growing up erico?
