When the Apostles were touched by the Holy Spirit in Pentecost, and were filled with conviction to spread the faith, they applied reason and justice in preaching their word. Apostle John as well as Simon Peter (The Rock) went to Rome to preach the word.
Did they condone radical revolution or did they preach the faith in ways to be accepted in that particular society? They did the latter.
Apostle John, preached to slaves, preached in the games, preached in the streets of Rome. Peter, The Blessed who Holds the Keys to the Gates of Heaven, preached in the catacombs of Rome. They preached in Latin, the lingua franca of the Romans.
Though their manner of ministry changed to suite the city, their conviction and faith were undaunted.
When John was condemned to death by Nero, he was brought to the Colosseum in Rome and was placed in a pot of boiling oil. Do you know what John did? While he was led to the pot of oil, he preached the WORD to the Romans in Latin. His eyes and words were affixed to Christ's word and promise. And do you know what happened? Miraculously, John did not die in the pot of boiling oil.
They took him out of the pot of oil, and ye continued to preach and minister. So much that the entire Roman Colloseum converted to Christianity on the spot. Note that he was not speaking to the audience in Aramaic (the language of Jesus), but in Latin.
The miracle of Conversion into Christianity did not come through forced conversion by the sword, but by the appliance and molding local culture to accept the Word of Christianity--to bring comprehension of THE WORD to the locals, who did not know Christ prior.
Per se the Adoration of the Blessed Santo Nino, the Blessed Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico etc is what bridges the indigenous culture to the greater understanding Umbrella--that is The Holy Roman Catholic Church.
And by the Grace of God, conversion was quick and superfluous. In full Communion with Christ, by Authority of His Holy and One Church.
