According by the words of a female block-timer on board at a local radio station in Tagbilaran City reported that during her afternoon show she had many callers showing support for candidate for Governor Cesar Montano.

The report came in during Montano's last minute press conference held with 7 local media men at venue Food Options.

Montano was happy in the good news received from the lady block-timer. During his press conference he was interviewed live over a local radio station and told the listeners that he will not be a vote buyer. He will not be a part of dishonesty from the Boholano people in this widely known habit during election time and feels sad he said when he knows that Boholanos would be known to do such a thing.

Montano said he has really been super pleased with his rally turn outs across the province in support of him.

He also mentioned that he is fighting very hard against this unlawful action of vote buying.

He loves Bohol and said he wants to help Bohol.

He also said he has a beautiful life in back in Manila with his show life and singing bee program but he is in Bohol to offer his chance to the citizens of Bohol to win as the next Governor of BOHOL in order to help Bohol persons here.

Cesar has been through a lot and since the beginning of this campaign from his sons recent death until now Cesar keeps fighting for you the good people of Bohol.

When asked about vote buying Cesar said " Yes it is true I will not be buying votes." "Boholanos deserve a a new leader and a better leader to make things change." "If Bohol is not ready for change than God help it."

Montano stressed that Boholanos are being a part of what is considerd as being a corrupt province when it comes to vote buying and that he does not like the sound of it and said to the media that he was sure that they did not also like the sound of it.

Montano when asked about the Grand alliance he said he did not invite anyone to it.

Another question facing Montano was in regards to having the May 10, elections postponed, Montano said he was not in support of having it postponed and that he feels very opposed of it saying the election day this May 10, 2010 day has been already long awaited for......

Montano said Bohol people are not in anyway stupid he prided Bohol very much in saying people in the province are very kind and are very smart.

Bohol people know what is right and what is good thing to do when they will be voting this coming Monday.

May I wish everyone a happy and safe election.

:'( I am so sick and totally disturbed about what has happened to my old yahoo account and I am slowly trying to rebuild the friends that I had put on the list before as I miss chatting with my old friends due to my old account precious_asastone@yahoo.com being "HACKED".

It makes it so hard due to the fact that I am in the media where I live and this is the only ID that people are aware to send me news items too.

I have already a new ID that you can send Emails for too.

I am aware the person's using my old ID and account are hacking other persons accounts and sending out Emails such as the one I had read in others account's from my old Email and yahoo account.

It said I was in Africa and had lost my wallet and to send me almost $3.000.00 dollars through Western Union. Please do not respond to that Email and please do not send any Email to the old account for my safety and your safety since it was hacked.

Please be informed of my new yahoo account....... <precious_asastone66@yahoo.com>

I am sorry about any inconveniences this has made.

Sincerely.

In an interview with local media members at the residence of Catigbian's Mayor Captain Bert Salinas during his dispiritas celebration told media that he has with-drawn from running for 1st district Congressman due to Governor Aumentado being kicked out of Lakas.

Aumentado was kicked out of his political Lakas when he was said to have been disloyal.

For a man who should be setting the example of a good citizen here in Bohol it is sad to say for sometime I have been getting tired of hearing the same damned whine and grind of this police officail that governor just loves to cuddle and keep here amongst the "Chocolate Hill's".

Some police have told me when this man gets PNP bonus to share with everyone during specail events the lower ranking police say they have been left out many times and basically left for gutam.

often he will not allow the CIDG to help and assist with crimes and deaths against foreigners.

He once text me a very hateful message on mothers day after ringing my phone eight g*** darned times basically saying I was a "Bitch" in between the lines over an interview in were he was protecting a paid witness who was lying in a certain case and had grabbed my cell fone around my neck angrily and deleted my interview with him instead of cooperating with media as police should be doing.

I had my 17 year old daughter with me at the time so she could meet the provincial police director and watch mommy at work and he got so mad in front of her (Read-VOWC) with me and when we left the building my daughter said "Mom your being so nice with him he is so mean to you?" "I never want to go back there again mom....maybe he will kill you....be careful mom." My daughter was shaking terribly as well as me.

We have had around 5-6 foreigners murdered in Bohol during his time in office and all with no development or leads and here any such case is the rule to be solved with-in a 24 hour period.

One time this PNP Director he had come up to me laughing in my face because of a phone call i had made to the City Mayor in regards to a foreigner friend being killed by a city water truck and were he had done nothing about it for the fiancee or the victims baby...
so i went off on him asking him just what the hell was he thinking when he did not care what happened to the survivors of the victim. this pnp director hazed me for what I had done in making the mayor mad.

This morning he gave a live interview over the radio of DYTR and said he was not happy about the news going outside of the province regarding his special treatment with the suspect of Dumaluan. It was also printed in today's Wednesday edition of BHC the same in Inquirer.

Now is providing an attorney and other comforts really the right thing to do for a suspect in a shooting case how this director has done in this certain case. When at the same time Dumaluan has been offered nothing as the victim.

It is allegedly believed that shortly after the Inquirer in Manila was released telling about the unfair treatment of this pnp director he or his freinds allegedly is beleived to have been the one who texted to three media persons with the same number saying that he was a certain person and asking to spend the night when it turns out it was not the friend of the one who received the text in where it could have been a ploy to see where this particular media was at the time if not in the house staying over night with his female colleague. The provincial director had seen the two media colleagues together in one vehicle this same weekend going inside of the camp to do official business with an appointment.

Two other media personalities involved with exposing this directors  very bad police capabilities had received threatening text messages at the same time and by the same number as sent to their female colleague on Monday night in where the alleged PNP director or his associate in where they were posing as the colleague and best friend to the female colleauge posing as one of the media who was earlier threatened in Visaya "I advise you not to meddle in my affair with Dumaluan and the Lim Law office and that if you continue to meddle anymore with the case I will make sure your penis of will be cut off."

It was found out by certain persons today that this director is going to end his contract by this Friday and may not be given his extention after-all as always granted by the Governor in the past.

Bohol needs a more responsible PNP Director one who can restore Bohol hopefully back to the way it once was before.

Amen to that!

“Prosti-tuition”                      Precious Thoughts                10/11/09

The Bohol Standard

1) noun - Money earned stripping, hooking, or otherwise through the sex trade which is used to pay for college expenses.

2) verb - The act of earning money through the sex trade in order to pay for college.

Many college girls resort to prosti-tuition due to the high cost of education and the economic crisis that continues to plague the country.

I became aware that prostitution among female college students is happening right here in Tagbilaran City . It was not long ago that girls in skimpy outfits hanging out along the dark corners near a private university caught my attention. At first I never thought these girls, whom I later knew to be enrolled in college, were engaged in prostitution.

Then I started to notice their number increase during enrolment and exam periods, the time when students have to pay their dues in school.

Together with a friend who also works in the media, we did some follow up on this issue and conducted personal interviews to dig deeper into what led them to engage in prostitution.

“I know I have an edge if I have a diploma because I will have a better opportunity of getting a decent job,” says one girl who says she used to take up Nursing but shifted to Education due to the enormous fees.

According to the girls we interviewed, they are forced to opt becoming a prostitute out of extreme poverty and just to finish their studies.

Some of the girls do it only during exam season or during enrolment which makes you think that their intention is to really pay for their school fees.

Some prostituted students are hired through a pimp who is contacted by clients. The pimp in return gets a cut of the agreed price which could range from P1,500 to as much as P3,000 on a one engagement basis.

Due to modern communication, most of the time a client would just send a message to the student prostitute

But I was also distressed to learn that not all of these girls resorted to prostitution out of poverty. Not all of them have the same reasons. There are some of them who either misused the money given by their parents for school fees and their daily school budget.

Yet, there are girls who are also driven to prostitution because they needed cash for their luxurious lifestyles or just to keep up with the modern-day social vices or to be able to buy branded clothes, gadgets such as i-pods, laptops and cellular phones.

Here, I would say that family values and the educational system in this country is an inter-related issue. But that would deserve another space for another column. (To be continued.)

Many have lost homes, food, personal belongings, and other effects dear to them.

Many businesses homes, schools and state and national buildings ruined and unable to open for business this week.

The young American man Zachery Razcock who was killed by the Tagbilaran City water Company dump truck has been decided in court this past week.

The court has ruled a decision  in favor of the American victim and his family.

If you can remember this was a long time topic in TubagBohol a couple of years ago.

I have waited late to write this in here because the news will be reaching the public tomorrow hot off the press in local Bohol newspapers.

My friend who was the fiance and mother of the daughter of Zachery called me tonight and while talking to her she sounded very happy that her baby will now be getting the proper help she deserves after finding the driver "Blanco" guilty of the death of Zachery a couple years ago on December 21st.

I figured i would take the liberty to post this since I was the one who was the victims acquaintance and have been with the case since the beginning.

I will post later or Mike will post later the news item that will be coming out in Sundays newspaper's.

I would like to say on behalf to all the media and legal support who has helped honestly and the local support thank you very much for your honest support on behalf of Zachery's family, and friends.

Talk of the Town / Crime Scenes
September 18, 2009, 09:57:48 PM
Bohol is a small province in where everybody knows everyone else there either you are related, a lover or having a relative there.

Often members of the PNP and the Intelligence teams are having a conflict of interest in where many reports from the police are not reaching to the Regional District 7 Office in Cebu from the Province of Bohol.

Some authority working in the office in Cebu feel that maybe the law is hiding crimes that they want to keep others from knowing about that either has their involvement in the crime, a loved one a friend or a relative.

In a recent discussion with some top law enforcement officers from regional 7 headquarters they feel that it would be better to keep local law enforcement. investigators and intelligence from working in their own local jurisdiction to avoid conflict of interest for the reasons mentioned above.

How do you feel about the fairness of crimes being investigated when the police are involved in aiding in crime or someone they know is involved and they hide the evidences to avoid being caught with the higher authority?

Here is a poll to get your opinion?

Thank You for taking the time to do the survey! 8)

Bohol Judiciary Takes Spotlight in City Square Trial

Precious Thoughts Column
(The Bohol Standard)

The high profile case filed to cancel the “questionable” contract for the rehabilitation of the former Agora Public Market into what is now a modern commercial complex called City Square could blow up to one of the hottest courtroom battles in recent history of Bohol.

Apart from putting at stake a multi-million deal between the city government and a private business consortium, the case pits Tagbilaran City Mayor Dan Lim against the “People of Tagbilaran” as complainants in the civil class suit lodged by top caliber lawyers Victor de la Serna, Alexander Lim and Zotico Ochavillo.

Regardless the outcome, the legal tussle could surely go down as one for the ages. How the designated judge would pen her ruling on the case, could become a landmark decision that will be used by law students and professors alike in their case studies.

As a backgrounder, since the case was filed sometime in November last year, five judges in the Regional Trial Court (RTC) have inhibited from hearing the complaint filed by the three lawyers which sought to nullify the City Square rehabilitate-operate-transfer (ROT) contract. Each of the five judges had their individual reasons for staying away from the controversy. These RTC judges were Fernando Fuentes III, Baudillo Dosdos, Suceso Arcamo, Achilles Melicor and Teofilo Baluma.

Quite understandably, no judge in his right mind would get himself embroiled in a fray which could get the ire of the sitting city mayor who is notoriously known for his fiery outbursts that excuses no one (not even his closest friends or relatives).

Well, as everyone may have already realized by now, only one of the five judges (Judge Baluma) have openly declared in public that he does not have close ties with the city’s chief executive and he is not receiving any allowances from City Hall, which his peers continue to enjoy as RTC judges assigned here in the city. This in fact caused more trouble for this daring judge as the city government exploited his spat with the city mayor as a reason for him to inhibit from the case.

Thus, it took 10 long months for the case to finally be assigned another judge to hear the class suit against the city mayor and the private developers of the City Square. This, despite the urgency in the complainant-lawyers’ plea that a TRO should be promptly issued “to stop the injustice and financial disadvantage of the ROT contract which the taxpayers and residents of Tagbilaran will have to bear,” thus said Atty. De la Serna.

But, starting last Friday, the enormous wheels of justice have finally been turned as the newly-designated judge â€" the Honorable Patsita Sarmiento-Gamutan of Branch 51 in Carmen â€" conducted the summary hearing for the TRO petition.

At the very least, it is a good start. Although the judiciary has taken a very slow action on the charges filed against the city mayor and the developers of the former public market, there is hope that Judge Gamutan will act for the speedy disposition of the case.

As De la Serna said, the case will be a showcase of judicial independence as the main respondent is a sitting mayor who can use his title, position, power, resources and prerogatives to influence the outcome of the proceedings in court.

Early into the summary hearing for the complainant’s petition for a temporary restraining order (TRO) to be issued against the City Square, a legal question is already posed by City Hall’s legal counsel, Atty. Doni Piquero, as to the propriety of allowing the lower courts to handle the case.

If Piquero’s argument is to be taken at face value, a government project such as the City Square could not be subjected to delays with the issuance of a TRO or an injunction by the courts, unless the court order emanates from the Supreme Court which is given the sole power to do so.

I had to do some research regarding this national law which the city government is using as its defense.

Regular courts had the predilection, pending the outcome of the main case, to issue temporary restraining orders (TROs) and preliminary injunctions (PIs) involving implementation of national government infrastructure projects and national programs.

The effect of the proliferation of TROs on national programs and projects is obviously detrimental. A stalled bidding or averted project derail the implementation of the project. Any delay caused by a 20-day TRO, and its extension by way of PI, without a doubt creates operational and market uncertainties, and disrupts the delivery of basic services.

While awaiting the lifting by the court of the PI or reversal by the higher court, fiscal projections could become stale. Foreign and domestic funding sources may dry up, prices of goods could increase, technologies may become irrelevant, national priorities could change, and winning bidders may lose interest. So as not to hamper the pursuit of national development projects, this indiscriminate practice must be discontinued or, at the very least, regulated.

Congress devised ways of correcting this wrong. Laws were enacted barring the imposition of TROs on certain activities. The Secretary of Labor and Employment cannot be prevented by lower courts from implementing enforcement orders protecting the health and safety of workers, and from assuming jurisdiction over labor disputes. Congress also ensured that no court shall have the authority to grant an injunction to restrain the collection of any national internal revenue tax imposed by the National Internal Revenue Code. Similarly, the Bases Conversion Development Authority cannot be stopped from converting military reservations, while the Power Sector Assets Liabilities Management cannot be enjoined from selling energy assets, save only a TRO issued by the Supreme Court.

Aside from specific restrictions, Congress also came up with a general ban on TROs and PIs. A judge who violates this ban may be held administratively liable. Republic Act 8975 imposed a broad limitation on the injunctive power of Court of Appeals, Regional Trial Courts and Municipal/ Metropolitan Trial Courts.

Under the law, no courtâ€"except the Supreme Courtâ€"shall issue any TRO, PI or preliminary mandatory injunction against the government, or any of its subdivisions, officials or any person or entityâ€"whether public or privateâ€"acting under the government’s direction, to restrain, prohibit or compel the acquisition, clearance and development of the right-of-way and/or site or location of any national government project; and bidding, awarding or commencement of a contract/ project of the national government on infrastructure, engineering works, service contracts, and build-operate-transfer projects.

This, however, does not mean that government agencies have unlimited authority to do what they please. The ban on issuance of provisional relief is not absolute. An aggrieved party may seek a TRO or PI from the Supreme Court. While lower courts are prohibited from issuing TROs and PIs, they are not restricted from hearing the main case seeking the issuance of a permanent injunction. If, after due hearing, the court finds that the award of the contract is null and void, the court may award the contract to the qualified and winning bidder, or order a rebidding of the same, without prejudice to any liability that the guilty party may incur under existing laws.

The “no TRO/ PI rule” on lower courts admits of one exception. Under the law, a lower court may issue a TRO when the matter is of extreme urgency and involves a constitutional issue, and, unless a TRO is issued, grave injustice and irreparable injury will arise. In such case, the party seeking the TRO must post a bond.

As a rule, government projects must be pursued unhampered by delays and court TROs. There can be no sea of change in society without public-private partnerships being realized within the soonest possible time. However, like any lasting and real transformation, the ban on TROs must not be used for shortcuts, detours and transactions that are unmindful of constitutional and legal requirements. Courts and government agencies alike must constantly balance the interests of all.  :o

Phil Liayao who is a known media personality in the Bohol community has tragically lost his life last night in a motorcycle head on collision with passenger bus as he was coming back from Panglao Despiritis.

Phil was confimed dead at Celestino Galleras Memorial Hospital at or around 8:O'clock PM in the evening on August 27th, 2009.

Phil was known in the media family and to the community mostly for his mascot name as the "Hitman" on the spot reporter, Phil could be heard as an on the spot radio reporter for DYRD. Phil was very active in Bohol Tri Media and a very active mediaman always willing to give a hand and had a big heart of gold for caring about his fellow mediamen.

I had heard reports on both AM radio stations here last night and had called several mediamen after confirming it with Cesar Compangon another media news reporter from DYTR.

According to Cesar Ben Areigo was suppose to go with Phil back to Tagbilaran but Ben said to the media that he was just too scared to travel with Phil as he said Phil was under intoxicants when leaving Panglao.

Condolensces to the entire Family.

If rumors run right and Ex Governor Renee Relampogos runs for Congress against now board member Yul Lopez I guess that means The board spot  vacated by Yul will be open game.

I was speaking with Godfreda Tirol at metro last night and asked her if she was having any political ambitions?

She told me with a pleasant smile that she is thinking about running again for board member.

I hope so that she will run and win again she is a neat lady who knows her stuff.

And so very good in her generosity in helping the community.

She is active and can be seen working hard in many seminars and many trainings to help families here who are really poor.

If she runs for the board even thugh I am not a voter she has my full support as a returning candidate. and foreigner most that I know want Cesar Montano for Provincial Governor.
He is young and friendly and in the worst situations handles himself very well.

I say good luch to all 2010 candidates and lets keep this election safe and honest as possibly can be.

Montano Dines and in Hopes to Adopt and Fight for Bohol Expat’s Organization Members

Last Friday night at the newly opened up India Curry Garden restaurant in Tagbilaran City, actor/director and singer Cesar Montano along with his staff held a planned get together and introduction of members in a new formed group of “Bohol Expats” who have been forming and getting together for meeting for the past 6 months.

Cesar told the organizations representative that he is interested in the organization and feels that foreigners should have made an organization some time ago. Cesar who is a well known as an actor director and singer said during the meeting of the expats members that he was enjoying and listening to the concerns put out by the resident and domesticated foreigners who have chosen Bohol as a home.

Cesar said he wants to assist and help the organization in getting registered and becoming a chartered and that his platform will be on eco tourism and making sure that foreign visitor will have the same rights here as Philippine persons living here and that foreigners more protected and safer than they are being treated at present.
The staff members of Cesar also took turns speaking with the group of foreigners on the children’s organization that Cesar has put together in Baclayon and another staff member of his talked about when foreigners get married not only do they marry the woman but they marry her place family and culture as a whole.

Cesar told the group’s organizer that the next meeting together with him will be held in a more private place behind closed doors. According to some of the foreigners the meeting was sort of hard to have been able to discuss and resolve issues because the foreigners know Cesar is a well loved and adored talent here in his local place of Bohol as well as internationally. Everyone who had noticed the present host of the ever popular ABS/CBN’s Singing Bee and gubernatorial candidate for Bohol inside the new restaurant having a discussion amongst the “Bohol Expats” many on the outside of the restaurant were taking advantages to meet and have a picture with Cesar it was becoming so many that it was hard for the star to even eat a full meal according to Roger Long who has lived here in Bohol from the USA for three years.

Cesar had also given a live interview over radio station DYTR along with the Expats organizer who is this writer. Cesar was very popular amongst the foreigners as he had come across as bright and caring as the first political candidate in the history of Bohol to take an interest in a group or really good foreigners who are here to enjoy Bohol and help others here. USA’s Roger Long said in a text message today “Last night’s meeting I enjoyed it very much…getting together, meeting Cesar, and making new friends. Sorry some of our expat friends were negative and didn’t appreciate importance…that Cesar is an international celebrity, probably our next governor, very influential. I hope Cesar and I meet again as friends …I like him and respect him.”

 :o How Very Annoying Really!

There are just a few original pioneer members remaining for the simple reasons being that some newer members or members who change they're ID's  just simply want to bash or insult others in here.

others in here are old school like me and some of us do tell the truth because of our familiarity with the subject including its history and present situations.

Some of us have had stalkers following us in more threads then one. Some of us have had rude things said to us.

For me I am a cowgirl I am game not sensitive because I know already the mentality of most people the ones who have something to say but can not stand behind their name. Everyone knows me here do to being in media. I can dish it back at you as well.

At times I or others may be disliked for our integrity and honesty about things because many have been noted can not deal with honesty they cry that they want it but when it is dished out on something done by them oh heaven forbid how could we not say and call the shots exactly how it happens.

What i hate is when people contradict themselves and add lie on top of lie.

I feel that a person who has been at an event being talked about can honestly speak well with conviction being that they are there.

Now if you want to talk and make up smut with out knowing the person and their type of background then you have no power or not the right to do that in the first place.

I have heard from reliable sources in TB who have recently been hurt as they said there is a defamation of character being thwarted against possibly in destroying either this person or this particular website.

Who ever is doing it is not a very Christiane person and obviously does not want to be part of a website that once you get to know the people you become family.

Sure we have our rights and indifference's but to go overboard in destroying or to rub one out is very bad and totally uncalled for.

So whomever you are remember us long time members can cut off your membership ID to keep you from further insulting our members who have held true and blue through thick and thin these past few years in TB.

Remember we have indifference's but we also have to use control and good ethics when problems arrive instead of using personal attacks against others.

Take care and

God Bless! :)

First off condolences fro the members of Late president Cory Aquino as she gave up her bout with cancer Yesterday.

The evening prior to her passing away the public in thousands had been attending prayer vigils in the hopes that the first ever lady president of the Philippines would make it through her bout with cancer.

During the segment of Saturday's WOWWOWEE show the daughter of Cory Aquino who is Chris Aquino host of "Deal or No Deal" had text a close family friend Willie while he was hosting his popular show sa WOWWOWEE she told the host that her mom loved and appreciated how he always greeted his grandchildren. She also text him that when her mama was sick in the hospital that Willie was the first one to send her beautiful flowers.

Tied to the set of WOWWOWEE were two long ribbons in the remembrance of one the most honest presidents of time Cory Aquino.

His body has been laid to rest for public viewing in Manila already.

The night students were walking along CPG avenue on they're way home and suddenly crowds of students and people scrambling to get inside of BQ Mall to get out of the way as three AJOS members fled from the new city square after an armed robbery had been pulled.

The robbers were then captured at the back of the Agora City Square and brought into custody by the Tagbilaran City police.

Maybe more details will come in over the weekend but this is the buzz buzz in the wind as of now.

I was eating cheeze bread at bread basket at the time it had taken place I had dropped my chicken saipow so fast and had hidden myself between the employees lockers at the time as the scared people kept running into the building.

I have just learned and seen a Norwegian friend of mine visiting here his fiancee on his school break now and what i observed was not good.

He was in the car of his GF's dads car and was bitten by a poisonous biting spider and went into shock after being injected with the spiders venom.

When he went to the hospital here in Tagbilaran the Doctor administrated a wrong medicine in him and it has caused him to have swollen veins and be broken out in 95% of his body.

He has times in when he suddenly stops breathing or is short of breath.

Please people be careful of spiders, snakes, and frogs who have poisonous venom.

Doctor's please be careful when administering medicines.

I have just received an update from my friends girlfriend he said he is not eating and is tired and feeling weak, she is worried about him and his experience here makes him scared to go back the Dr. or hospital.

I hope i can get the attention of the media and bring this to the publics attention.

please people be careful.

I am really worried about my friend now.

Please give advice he was given the medicine "Celestamine".

he was also the foreign judge for this years Miss Bohol International.

Dear Friends,

Please notice i did not say Members. To me you mean more than that. I know at times some of you may see me as a hard nosed person with a very BAD ATTITUDE. No! that is not the real me that I always want to be.

I will explain why I get the way I do at times, my domestic life (family life) here has been from very difficult to very embarrassing and lets add with three attempts of threats of death on my life by my oldest stepson against me because he can not accept me as a foreigner in his families life no matter how good I have been for him his girlfriend and they're baby living with me.

I will explain in an open and honest letter my trials and tribulations of being a Female foreigner in a third world country living in a all Filipino Family.

Most often you see foreigner men here in Bohol but it is rare to find a lady like me in the roles that I play at home and in the community.

I will further explain in a later letter how difficult I find it adjusting to certain cultural ideals here.

When I make the letter I hope those reading it can really understand what is going on here. I also hope that you read it with broadminded and as an educated person and most important do not take it personally or make it go beyond Tubag Bohol because this forum is our forum because we are unique and care.

I plan to make the letter by this weekend or the middle of next week just stay tuned.

Until then happy reading my friends.

Just think of this as a trailor to an interesting movie to be....

July 16, 2009, 11:43:02 PM
Feeling hot are you? Well pretty soon Pilar will open its doors to their two new swimming pools one for adults and the other one for children.

The pool will be supplied by cool water inside of springs in Pilar. The money made from the swimming pools will be again to support the National DSWD same as the adventure ride that mayor is having built over his man made lake.

Pilar - Bohol / Pilar's "Little Danao"
July 16, 2009, 11:36:12 PM
Mayor of Pilar told me that new construction will begin over his man made lake. The construction consist of a high tower near to the lake bank and a high overhead cable that is a recreation ride for adventurers but this ride is different then the one being offered in Danao.

The ride will hold single seat rides shaped in a circle connected by a bar that is connected to a bar that is connected to the cable. The one riding the adventure cable ride over the man made lake will be wearing a life jacket so in case during the ride if he falls he is going to plunge into the lake below.

The ride will take you to a man made island known as Noah's Ark and it will be made into a shape of a ship because according to the towns mayor before it was known that boats use to come from Inabanga to Pilar and back again.

The round trip ride is already a packaged deal and includes a boat ride back to the main shore via boat.

The ride is 500 meters long. The ride monies will support the national DSWD.

Earlier today Senador Miguel Zubiri was exspected to innaugerate the 17 classroom two stary high school.

The school includes a home ec room, sceince lab, IT rooom with computers sponsored by AUSAID that totaled PhP138.000.00

The cash from AUSAID was the third installment that has totled almost a million or more in donations.

The school policy according to Pilar mayor is that there is an open door policy for enrolling and going back to school.

The last age allowed to enroll is 25 years old. The reason for doing this is because now they have the facilities to accommodate such persons.

According to the schools vice principal trhe reason why they have a large drop out of students in the past is due to early marraige or economic reasons.

The school will provide notebooks and some other school materials.  The classrooms from the older school will also be continued to use since the old existing school is located just behind the new school. Each classroom has anywhere from 50-60 deskd set up waiting for the students to inhibit it.

The winner will be announced during tomorrow nights coronation and ball which will be held at Metro center 2nd, floor.

The winner has already been tabulated and the suspense will have you keep looking at the topic.

In my eyes all the women were charming and confident to enter a pageant in were it is organization and brain in where one is judged.

Plse Note in order not to confuse anyone this is a competition for TBTK women married or not this is not the same pageant that is having to do with Miss Sandugo or Miss Bohol Internationa.

A 500 meter long T-Bar cable adventure ride will be the newest attraction to be dded to the man made lake in Pilar according to Mayor Wilson L Pajo, this project cost 4.2 million and the contractor is JPM Construction from Cebu.

The rider will be sitting on a round disc shaped seat with a pole attached to cable and the ride will start getting constructed with in the next couple of weeks once the tower on the man made lakes banks will have been constructed. Mayor Pajo said the rider will also be wearing a water life vest in case he is to fall off the ride  he will be going into the lake.

The passenger will end his destination on an island in the middle of the lake known as Noah's Ark. The ayor will make the islander bigger by dredging and adding materials from the outside such as other soils and sands to be able to shape the island into a ship.

The reason to make the island into the shape of a ship is to remind people who know about the river from Pilar use to flow down to Inabanga and boats were known to come in and out of the outlets and inlets for some time during the earlier days of Bohol.

The passenger of the cable T-Bar ride will be taken back round trip via boat back to the starting point.

Mayor had written a permission and notification to The Natural Irrigation Administration (NIA) that he plans to put such a ride over the man made lake and wanted to know if it would cause any harm in the environment before doing so?

The adventures ride is  DSWD projected nationally under the flagship program of GANA the KALAHI CIDDS KKAB (Kabit Bisig Laban Sa Kahirapan).

Pilar is considered 4th class economy wise, has 21 barangays, 143 puroks and is about 76 miles from the capitol city of Tagbilaran City.

The population of Pilar is around 27,000.00 Pilar's mayor has many new projects underway just stay tuned because Pilar is another agro-industrial, eco-cultural tourism, peaceful and progressive community with God-loving , law-abiding, self reliant and empowered people with with an improved quality of life under a financially stable LGU providing adequate quality and social services in a sustainable and ecologically-balanced environment.

July 9, 2009  Danao Bohol,

A grand opening ceremony is slated for July 9, 2009 for the launching of this poblacions Recreational Park.

Mayor Thomas Gonzaga has said in a conversation this evening that Philippines National Secretary of Tourism Ace Durano will be the guest of honor and the ribbon cutter who will be the one to give the Recreation Park its official opening.

Two new events are being added into the park since the Suizeslides entry. the two events include a cable car ride the same type that snow skier's ride to the top of snow capped mountain peaks in order to ski down to the bottom of the hill with.

Accept this one will give it's rider's a spectacular view of Danao's natural beauty. Another ride that has been added to the park is a a huge swing that will swing similar like that of a pendulum.

Mayor Thomas of Danao told me that the ride is called the "PLUNGE!" maybe for self explanatory reasons.

the AHAI Medical Mission team will be there giving a free medical clinic to some 500 Danao Poblacion recipients.

Mayor Thomas and the people of Danao are  pretty proud about the livelihood and the fun that that has been created in his place for all to come and enjoy!

Hope to see you there!!!

In a media conference today with Population and health Dr's a survey was done on 20 of the most popular manning companies who are in charge of hiring crews to work on ships as merchant marines.

It was a not a surprise knowing that a vast majority and seamen are taking on casual relationships when abroad with either same sex persons or members of the opposite sex.

Also studies were done with both seamen who were interviewed isolated from their wives and the wives of seamen were also interviewed.

The most common response by the wives is that they could accept the promiscuity of they're seaman husbands just so long as the roof and provisions were provided for the children and herself.

In Bohol 250 merchant marines were surveyed and of the 250 sailors 69 admitted to having outside casual relationships away from the home while being abroad.

Could This be a Global Warming Wonder?

The Washington and Oregon coasts are expecting the lowest tides of the year this week, exposing sea life and otherwise hidden tide pools. Tuesday morning and again Wednesday morning, the tide will drop to around minus 2 feet on the Oregon Coast, with the lowest valleys coming during the morning, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

The walk to the first needle of Haystack Rock at Cannon Beach will be uncovered, said Suzanne Williams of the Cannon Beach Visitors Center.

Walks to Chapman Point and Bird Rock also are enhanced in the low tide, she said.

Tide pools around Haystack Rock are often loaded with anemones, chitons, crab, limpets, nudibranch, sea stars and urchins.

At Clastop Beach, the Peter Iredale, a ship that sank in 1906, stands out. The remains of the Bettie M, a tuna seiner that sank in 1976, are more visible where Jetty A meets Cape Disappoinment on the Washington side of the Columbia River.

Low tides are typical for this time of year because the moon is closer to the earth, so its gravitational pull stronger, according to the Seaside Aquarium in Oregon.

Today during the Bohol Tri Media Association (BTMA) monthly meeting ALARMA held at JJ's Seafood's two representatives Attorneys spoke to the media about a more modern and newer style in how Philippine registered voters will be be made for the coming election and more.

The Attorneys said that instead of voting by paper ballot the votes will be entered into a computer.

This will help eliminate the voter fraud of vote buying that goes on here, and hopefully cut down on campaign and murders that are going on in this country.

Philippine residents who are registered voters who are living abroad will be able to vote by absentee ballots.

Further news to follow by other media members who would like to ad to this topic. The meeting for ALARMA was sponsored by IT College AMA learning Center for IT students.

last October 2008 some 70 persons assembled into JJ's Seafood's resort to take the KBP exam for National Broadcasters.

Among the 70 or so examinees included one very adorable white lady. This may be Bohol's first foreigner to take and pass the exam in Bohol who will receive her license from the National KBP federation president as she has passed her test and finished all the necessary requirements to have the license the National KBP office of the KBP exam President has called today announcing to the white lady that the license will arrive in 24 hours.

A specail Thamk You goes to Sir. Peter Dejarasco president of Chronicle/DYRD/KISS FM for the passing evaluation.

The exam consisted of 125 written multiple choice questions in both English and Tagalog and the second portion included a radio station evaluation.

If anyone would like to sponsor a a program for news in English for foreigners visiting and living here I would be happy as well as many other foreigners living and visiting here so that we will be able to understand what are the latest news events as well as what are the latest activities going on in Bohol.

Have a great weekend everyone!!!  ;D

This week a monthly meeting was held with Bohol's foreigner group some interesting concerns arised despite the group not having a lead conversationalist.

The most tourism officails had been notifeid but no one wanted to reply to a text message or answer their cell phones when an invitation to help at the meeting was being asked.

Why is that since we have so many persons here who are public officails tied into tourism and foreigners here in Bohol but no one wants to put it into gear to talk to the friendly group?

Some concerns came from male members of the group regarding Filipina who go to the hotel with foreigner men they actually age 15 and under minor age then when the foreigner meets the family a relative will take them aside and say "Hey what are you doing with her she is just 15 years old?"

Since the beginning of the year no one knows what mayor wants and no one not even Filipino business owners are having businesses permits to operate a business. This has caused many foreigners to move out of Bohol and into provinces with friendlier and more reasonable city policies.

Some home owners and land owners have not received tax payment returns on their properties and a meeting was held last month between business owners and nothing seemed to get resolved from such a meeting.

Despite the things going on here the foreigners admit they they still enjoy living in Bohol. :)

Sketchy Information

A cross a lighted candle and a pool of blood remain out in front of the LTO....

I do not have the complete details of an LTO employee who was a father of seven children who ended up shot to death last night in front of his place of work in Tagbilaran City Catugasan/Dampas boundary on the corner of Espuelas Extension and Enerio Rd.

Last night around early evening a bus was pulled over alongside the highway and the bus driver had fled the scene but when the employee of LTO office had driven the bus to the LTO an unknown at large suspect fired a fatal bullet into the neck of the LTO worker.

If anyone has details of this event please post them.

May we share many condolences to his family at this time of horrible loss.

Sorry to bring such sad news to the forum, but I think it is important that people should know what are the things happening here.

Please keep your comments nice, informative as well as respectful.

God Bless Everyone!

She was seen and examined at local clinics and at the Borja Hospital but was later released.

Normally women in they're first trimester of pregnancy are not administered this strong of medications made for this virus.

Yesterday a local media mans freinds had brought to the attention of one family wearing masksin the local neigherhood and thought of it as being peculiar.

The media man informed actting governor Vice Governor Herrera of the suspicious persons wearing masks and DOHin Cebu confirmed that one known case was here in Bohol.

The woman victim was at large this morning but after Vice Governor Julias Herrera had made public awareness calls all the case to look for all flu cases in Bohol and to report the female victims right away to the health authorities.

The name of the victim was released  by Vice Governor Herrera over both radio stations in Tagbilaran City.
Even though it is against the DOH policies to give out private names of persons who are seriously infected whether they pose a public threat or not.

At present time the victim has had a meeting with her family and is underway with a live interveiw being given by one of the persons in the local media.

The family was also willing to get screened themselves for any possible signs of being infected themselves.
In hopes for a speedy and safe recovery for the victim and her family and for the community to be safely protected from such sicknesses.

I will try to update this as soon as I am able too.

The female victim was interveiwed over DYRD yesterday evening and has lamblasted both Vice Governor Herrera and the local media for what she is saying is all lies and mistakes from the governent and the D.O.H.

Carmen Mayoy Manuel "Boy" Molina is facing complaint of the ombudsman for alleged fraud and violations of the code of conduct and ethical standards for public officails and employees.

The case against Molina stemmed from a complaint filed by an employee of Carmen Municipal Treasurers Office. accusing the mayor of collecting P300 in the renewal and issuance of business licenses as payment for socalled "Business Plates"

The newly imposed fee is not  covered by a municipal ordinance authorizing its coillection.

Asked to comment, Mayor Molina said all collections of the P300 for business plates were duly receipted but, since it was found out that the collection for business plates was not supported by an ordinance, the amount was refunded.

In her complaint affidavit submitted to the ombudsman, Raqueal Rejas, a revenue collector at the Carmen municipal treasurers Office, said Molina started imposing the P300 fee for business plates last January......

Something rude awaits foreign visitors on the shores of certain beaches here in Bohol when natives have started posting up home made signs along the beaches telling foreigners to keep away or else and other such messages of the same sort.

I was told this by a freind who often rides his bike for excersize along the highways and beaches and mountains of Bohol. He was so offended that his own people could post such mean things.

The beaches are not private they are all public where the signs are obviously home made.

I hope the authoriteis deal with these pollution mongers and deal with them properly if they can catch who whomever is doing it.

Bohol Philippines

A reforestation launching workshop was held here in Bohol this week at Bohol Plaza located in Dauis Panglao Bohol.
The theme of the Workshop was "Adancing the Application of Assisted Natural Regeneration (ANR).

Danao Bohol located in the Interior of Bohol Island is one of four places nationally being chosen for the project in reforestation. The other three places are in Limay, Bataan; Danao, Bohol; and in Sto. Tomas, Davao Del Norte.

The three organizations coming together for the project include The food and Drug Administration (FAO) Forest Management Bureau-Department OF Environment And Natural Resources  (DENR) and the Bagong Pag-ASA Foundation, INC. the workshop the workshop was on natural reforestation and was also the launching for the Bohol Province project.

What is ANR?
It is an acronym for assisted natural regeneration, a viable means of restoring biodisersity in forest rehabillitation, and approach to help speed up the growth of young tree seedlings and other plants that lie dormant under a carpet of grasses, such as the ever-present imperata cylindrica, more commonly known as cogon.

Cogon infest milllion of hectares of Philippine forests, supressing the natural growth of wildings. Cogon grasses are also easy prey to both intentional and accidental fires, which hinder forest restoration.

ANR has several key advantages. It eliminate the high cost of seedling production, planting and replanting incurred in conventional reforestation. It helps avoid the costly mistake in speceis-to-site matching, since the tree speceis in place are the species most suitable to the area.

The four day workshop also included a feild trip to Danao Bohol where the reforestation project is.

Day three of the workshop included othe visiting reps from surrounding Asian counteries who came to share about the reforestation happening in their counteries.

According to DENR assistan secretary Jerimias Dolino in a private interveiw he said it was Secretay Atienza's largest project but was not able to attend the workshop due to cabinet meetings back in Manila.

In some countreis no one would be considered to think about trying to be close with a police man,

In some countries police are even afraid to arrest they're own blood and would rather protect a relative who may have done wrong.

Some police are even bribed dollars in other countreis to persons who are caught violating the law.

Some police men accept sex in some countreis to let law violaters off the hook.

In some countreis police even refuse to go through the right arrest, procedures and investigational procedures such as taking finger prints, closing off crime scenes, and looking at all aspects links and angles.

Some police use they're authotity way too much or not enough.

Some countries allow food to be taken into jails by freinds and family members  with out even being inspected first for possible smuggling of weapons or drugs before it is handed over to the person who is incarcerated.

Some police do not even bother asking for physical evidence to back up what persons say on affadavits and testimonys.

Some police never check the psychoanalysis of a persons behavior before a crime was committed.

Some police do not even bother looking at past attempts of being involved or linkages to a crime that has been committed and persons have been captured.

In some countreis you can see many police doing they're job but in other countreis some are just way to damn lazy or just do not care or some may be even not getting they're right bennefits owed to them so there fore the work may not be taken seriously or things are handled with lax mannerism while on the job.

Why are things so out of control why is there a continuation of escalated crimes every day all around the worl.

In these days and times it is seriously becomming harder as a civilian to trust people let alone persons who are to protect and serve when they can not do a good enough themselves to help get crime off the street.

Instead they become a dirty cop behind a badge.

In my county just about every two miles you can see a cop issuing tickets to traffick violators in some countreis they have no disciplin and drive and violate and put other in harm and danger.
It is also a police mans duty to make sure minor's are not being serveded in public and that intoxicated persons are taken off of the streets so in order to keep them and others safe.

Some of us have been fortunante to travel and see many types of police forces in your own choice and words where have you seen the worst cops at and why?

Maybe if policemen read this topic they might learn from what we have to say maybe they could make things better if it is brought to attention.

Peace and order has to start somewhere.

Please list where are the worst police in the world are and why you beleive it is the worst in your opinion.

The news I am about to tell is for a mature audeince.

The detalis of this event will be described graphically.

and in order of sequence in respect to being a good freind  with the victim and the only one here to write about the case from the first attempted homicide.

There was also a second homicide attempt

Then the final homicide attempt was gruesome down to the last detail.

I will post about the deadly grotesque state in how my freinds body was found.

Before going into details of this mornings really horrible findings I will post my write up from an interveiw i had with Marten in early Janurary.

Marten Williams age 43 from Liverpool England. Marreid to a Filipina in England in an arranged wedding in England, A freind of martens introduced his wife freind via mail. The wife of Marten is a freind of his freinds Filipina wife.

When i met Marten over a year a go he told me he was leasing a bar and had a wife who was really mean to him. He also said the wife had run off to another province with the couples baby that is born in England.

He also told me about the property and 10mllion house he had built in panglao, the house is very big and very beautif.

I warned Marten not to be to trusting.

7-9 months later my freind calls me and tels me he needs my help to expose his story and that he has an alleged suspect trying to assainate him. We had met later in the morning at Gerry's Grill. That is when Marten told me that someone in black pants and a black shirt had come from behind the bushes and fired two live amunition aimed and intended for him.

I will post up the first rough draft to my firs write up regarding Marten and what he told me during the interview. I will then post some of what I said in a column in the newspaper in a second follow up interveiw.

Then i will go into the gory and horrid way in how my British foreign freind was murdered.

When I introduced Marten to Atty. Lim Martens exact words were "I am worth more dead than alive!"

If I can not finnish this build up of events then i will work on it after I wake up as it is almost 430am here.

Makes one wonder if Hotels resorts and short time check in establishments are checking for proper age and ID before check in?

Activity planned in Danao for tombstone laying activity.A Heroes Tombstone to Placed in honor of Final Resting Spot of Dagohoy’s  “War Heroes”
By;  Priscilla Richards

This April 5 2009 along with expected guest Congressman Edgar M. Chatto 1st District, and A.E. Damalerio 1st Board Member Panlalawigan from Bohol along with other special guest are expected to present when the laying down ceremony of the Dagohoy Commemorative Tombstone.
Participants who are interested in experiencing EAT DANAO outdoor activities can register and pay up in advance package will include the following zip-line or trekking, transportation and lunch. Early registrants can avail the cost at PhP650.00 up till March 30th, and late registration will cost PhP700.00 the registration will take place at one of the sponsoring places at the Outdoor Adventure Store and Island Buzz Café located at Gallares St. near to Ramiro hospital.
Danao Bohol will now have a tombstone placed in the heart of the adventure spot known as EAT Danao Adventure Park.
Sponsorship of the Dagohoy Commemorative Tombstone and the organization for this coming Aprils event includes the following; HABAGAT which mean southwest wind, which is a wind that most fishermen will not be known to adventure out in and are afraid of it due to its strong gusts, the Bohol Outdoor Adventure Team including it’s close to 30 member’s and the Outdoor Adventure Store Mexican Food Cafe owned by one of its members Erwin Budlong “Buzzy” located in Bohol. The organization and business support behind the purchase of the tombstone originated with the ideal of placing a commemorative stone for the Spanish war heroes who died during the 1744-1829 war against the Spanish Rule.
Last year in Danao a cycling activity had taken place known by Visaya adventurist as the Visaya’s Mountain Festival the activity passed through and into Danao and the one night  when the visiting outdoorsmen groups  sat around drinking beer while sharing friendship with the Towns mayor Thomas Gonzaga a concern was brought up by the adventure participants when the discussion of Dagohoy dead war heroes had come up in their conversation, the group asked why is it that there lays no commemorative marker or some sort of plaque or even a tombstone to give some sort of indication that there should be peace, rest and respect for the final resting place of Dahohoy’s dead war heroes and to that this is the place where some of the war heroes remain from their final stand.
The municipal of Danao over time has been gathering and safe keeping the bones from its adventure caves and are keeping them inside of their adventure museum to keep people from eluding them from the caves where they are found. As explained by Buzzy during the interview for this write up that in the past the caves were being eluded so Danao now keeps a close tight  protective watch on everything when it comes to caring and preserving its heroes.
The tombstone reads;
“For 85 long years Danao Cradled the Longest Revolution, (1744-1829) Adainst Spanish Rule. Freedom Fighter Francisco Dahohoy and patriotic Boholanos Lived as Free and Sovereign People during the 85 year stance.”
“They did not render forced labor nor pay tribute. They suffered neither racial discrimination nor social humiliation from the hands of the Spaniards. Here lies some of those patriots who chose to die as a freemen.”
“Sa Lahat NG MGA INDO, AND MGA TAGA-BOHOL ANG PINAKA=MABANGIS AT PINAKA-MAGITING…”

 :)

Often around here you can hear storeis being told by foreigners who have really had it in how they get treated here as guest more often these days.

Just read the local police blotters it tellsa story all by its self.

Let'd face it not all foreigners are doing bad things here. It just seems no matter how much we scratch a Filiino's back here tojust ne be able to help him out, it never seems that appreciated and often enough ends up being looked at as as if just being used to get what they want.

While the foreigner ends up with nothing but the word of trust once said but never being implimented always.

I have an email from a freind Roger who lives here in Tagbilaran and back home in the states he is a  lets just say well off and he enjoys helping people here who really need medical attention.

Here is his most recent email of his last adventure going around Philippines.

'Hi, everybody,

When you're traveling around the Philippines, watch out for the infamous bloodsucker cockroach. Not really a cockroach but a small gray colored insect that likes to do you-know-what when you're not looking.

I guess I wasn't looking; I had never heard of the little bugger.

So last Sunday sometime, while I was still in Danao City, Cebu, one decided to get a taste of yours truly. The next day my left wrist and 4th finger started to swell a little. No big deal. I thought a mosquito or spider bit me. Simple... that would go away fast. But there was no tell-tale bite or sting mark.

By Wednesday evening, my left forearm, wrist and hand were swollen like a reddish baloon, hot from inflammation and painful. My filippino friends said I was bitten by a bloodsucker "cockroach." An ob gyne at Gallares Provincial Hospital said the same thing. (Always consult a sex doctor when you want info about bloodsuckers. Haha.)

I immediately went to Mercury Drug and bought the antibiotic tablets the pharmacist recommended. Now, after two days, the swelling is gradually decreasing. Enough that I can hold my toothbrush and even type this email. She said it may take a week, so my countdown for cure is next Wednesday evening.

Other than this experience, my week in Cebu City and Danao was fun.

Sweet 19-year-old Rosalie, a saleslady at Golden Crust bakery in Cebu, now sees well with her one good eye. I met her my pevious visit several weeks ago and noticed how difficult it was for her to pick out my individual leche flan pastries. (My nightime tv snack.) I discovered she was blind in her left eye and couldn't see well with the right. Hard for her to work that way, and maybe harder to find another job.

She's a very poor, shy, innocent girl who left her family in Leyte to earn a living. So many families separate here.

So I found a low-cost optometrist nearby and promised her eyeglasses when I returned. I think everyone at Golden Crust was skeptical, even though they know me as a regular customer. Who does this for some poor stranger?

Last week I took Rosalie for her eye exam and new glasses. The doctor found astigmatism in the "good" eye. I also gave her antibiotic eyedrops and showed her how to use them. Rosalie was so cute when she asked my opinion about the frames. We agreed the blue and red frame was most colorful, patriotic and very sexy. We all laughed... even the doctor and technician! You can imagine how overjoyed she and her sister were that she could see well for the first time in years.

Now we text regularly and have become friends. Rosalie shows new joy and self confidence, and looks so cute in her new glasses. My reward.

And how much did this cost "el Cheapo?" Sit down for this. Total cost for the eye exam, new prescription glasses and antibiotic eyedrops: 840 pesos, or about $18.00. My goodness!

Well, that's all for now. God bless.

Roger."

When Attorneys abuse they're power.

What does it mean when an attorney and his wife say out loud these words in front of foreigners and local people to hear; "Never mind the judge will not listen to him he is just a foreigner!" I had recently gasped at this recent news from a foreign man and his Filipina wife.

I do not want to go into to much detail but I am seeing how Filipinos here truly do not have any respect for foreigners here as much as they should since this island is all about patting itself on the back about being a freindly and hospitable place to visit. "Are you sure?"

I hate to say it but I have met also many foreigners who are tired of being un appreciated for heling people here.
Foreigners bring a lot of revenue to this province and again there are foreigners who love it here who have domesticated here.

But to hear that this was said by an atty's wife during a recent barangay hearing here has me thinking totally different about this family now.
It is hard to think that this atty's family association I considerd hm as a cool freind before and now that I have heard this and know how his family treats other people here and on top of it they say duragatory/biased statements regarding foreigners I am not happy.
I plan on meeting up with this person and ask him why or if such a thing was ever said and to think the Governor here wants to bring in and encourage foreign guest to improve the economy for the people here, and behind his back public figures are mouthing off about foreigners.
What a crime if this turns out true and I hope that I can reach my freind in person and he can give me his side of the stry and I hope for my foreigner sake of mind that this was not ever said regarding the statement about foreigners.

I am even embarrede to visit my freind after hearing this statement maybe he also thinks never mind her she is just a foreigner? :o

Hello

I am back with new and added news regarding Danao and it's newwest recreatinal addition.
This day I am able to write here in this blog and talk about the wonderfull oppurtunity that I had this morning in Danao Bohol.

If you are a person who loves adventure then this small municipality is for you as there are many things to do that include doing things in the outdoor's.

The new activity is done via cable hard hat and helmet. You are handled by trained guides who will help you gear up for safety.
The highest elevation is at 200 mitres, and at average Philippine size and weight you can make it going across in about 50 seconds and make sure when you do this type of recreation to keep your eyes open and look down and all around while gliding through the air across the gully over the rapid moving river below.

When landing back to the opposit mountain peak from the crossing you there are guides who will stop you by braking the cable as you have about a two mitre distance from the end of the line.

The cost is PHP350.00 non resident of Danao and PHP150.00 for residents of Danao.

The axpected grand opening of the Suizline is being planned around the 28th of this month.

The expected guest to be at the opening event include Sec. Tourism Ace Durano, and Bohol's own Singing Bee Cesar Montano.

Other activities featured at Danao are Rapppeling. Kayak/Rubber Rafting, River trekking, Bouldering and Rock Climbing, Wall Climbing, the LGU's who have designed the recreational park are also planning to make a Monkey trail with the Suizline.

There are accomodations for around 16 people at present as there are some cottages with own in room completed C.R's.

LGU Philippines / Donuts For a City Mayor
October 30, 2008, 11:37:32 PM
I recently heard from a reliable source that a city business franchize manager who has close ties in with the City of Tagbilaran Mayor wants to run for Tagbilaran Mayor next mayoral election?

Maybe because he is a friend to everyone and contributes donuts for free to many he might just sweeten his way up to preceeding over the reigns of Mayor Lim at the end of his term.

This particular manager has been a big contributor for the province and the community.

I just hope that the leaving present mayor at the time will not be controling him by puppet strings.

Today during an Alarma meeting  held at the ICM Prawn Farm Restuarant with the local BTMA the guest speaker was Adsam Jala congressman third ditrict of bohol.

Topic was regarding small town lotto's and who it would be bennefiting?

When I asked a question to him regarding the churches and the bibles veiw on gambling and it is wrong in they're eyes he had whipped out all kinds of documents of local church organizations who are accepting the money from lotteries, and bingo halls.

He repeatedly conveyed over and over again that he tried to contact Bishop Medroso but no one returned his calls from the cathedral.

So his message was that the church really does not have any rights to complain of such a lotto being placed in Bohol because they are benneficaries odf such activities.

Some media members lashed out that he is only being the Representative of Arroyo so that he can make good friends with vice mayor's and Mayor's around Bohol.

he also mentioned that the present pcso lotteries that are here do not bennefit Bohol and are just here making revenue for other parts of Phillipines.

Congressman Jala said that it is not illegal gamble, and that instead said it is illegal and immoral to play it so much that your family ends up starving.

Despite intercession of some sectors for a ceasefire to a heated exchange of barbs that had gone sour, City Mayor Dan Neri Lim continued yesterday his tirades against the twin media outlet Bohol Chronicle and its radio station DyRD.
In his regular Saturday morning radio program, heard now on air over station dyTR, Mayor Lim reiterated his challenge for a debate of the brothers that he branded as "Self- Righteous."
He particularly picked,  callingg for a public debate, the brothers Zoilo "Bingo" Dejerasco III and Peter P. Dejerasco; editor in chief and radio station manager, respectivley.
"For 54 years, wa moy mga sala, sagrado mo? You are always right." the city mayor went on, questioning the credibility of the media outfit.
"The bottom line is charachter of a person," the mayor said.
"Maayo kabang bana, maayo kabang amahan," the mayor aimed his guns personally leveled against Bingo Dejerasco.
"If you destroy me, I might as well go ahead destroy you," as he renewed his tirade on the personalities of Chronicle and dyRD.
The city mayor had pulled out his two-hour radio program over dyRD following an editorial of the Chronicle paper questioning his his alleged indiscretion on the city drainage problem that had caused the frequent flooding of low-lying areas in the city.
Explaining his change of mind regarding his preious standd to finally cut these alleged illegal connections to the drainage canals, the city mayor quoted India's icon Indira Gandhi saying "he has aquired wisdom today and he is a better person now than yesterday".
Mayor Lim said he doesn't consider the twin-media as to stay forever citing the collapse of the financail intitution Lehmans Brothers.
The mayor also questioned the caricature in the paper allegedly portraying him a bad guy.
Bingo Dejerasco had refused to dignify the comments of mayor Lim and had opted to personally keep out of the heat, not heard on air; not yet as of now, a dyRD source said.

And if you know of any good or bad experiences that you or someone can share I will keep it confidentual on the name.

I would like to request your kind feedback about how you feel about foreigners who come here looking for a goodtimeand the girls are going for it here?

What is your opinion about Foreign women coming here to have sex play with the men in Bohol as well?

I have to be fair in my writing.

A Boholana woman died last Sunday from injuries sustained to her after being struck by three persons riding on a motorbike during Loays Fiesta.

Further details can be read regarding this incident coming out in this Sundays newspaper releases here in Bohol. I hope the ones who are writing about the incident use sincere kindness to both parties involved.

I am not sure about how much media release this will be given regarding this incident because it involves three very sweet children of a well known and awarded associate editor in Bohol. (Who was kind enough to give me my roots in the media here.)

Most of this persons colleauges are sensitive to talk about the incident.

I know Sunday Post Newspaper came out with the release as soon as the acident had happened.

I feel bad for everyone involved lease pray for a fair resolution and coninued good healing for those involved.

I AM SORRY TO BRING SUCH SAD NEWS AGAIN TO TUBAG.

God Bless Us!

Yesterday while waiting my turn at the American Consulate in Cebu I was the only one in there to get a capacity to adopt my beloved minor who has been in my care for almost eight years na.

All the other persons in there were waiting to receive they're capacities to gt married with Filipina women.
Every couple when answering the consulates question reagarding how did you meet had answered the same question in the same way.

The number one answer given; "We met on the internet" some guys do not stay here long enough before they ask to marry or is it forced to be askiing to be married?

My male foreigner friends who are already domesticated here in Bohol find that most women thry date want to be married right of way after meeting with out really giving the relationship trial time to really see if there is a chemical good enough between.

I find that when I ask polls with men who I do not know other than by chatting on the PC often times they end up being weirdo's.

Many foreign men when they get here are blind to the real culture here that ladies are not to engage in pre marital sex.
Often foreigners not living here who are just here for a visit do not know that woman due to poverty are trained by they're families to take on marraige with an older foreigner man (Almost about to die).
So he can provide for the family. I was talking with a few of the couples at the consulate yesterday and one man had suggested that it should made into a law that there  be a law against young persons marrying old foreigners.

Anyways I was simply impressed at how these persons even though they had been together in person for a weeks time or less were given capacities as if as fast as a snap of the finger.

For me internet dating does nothing for me.

I would need to know the real person in person maybe for a minimum of 6 months or more before i would marry.

Please anyone meeting on line should always know what they are getting into before they take the final major step.

Be aware of the Anti Trafficking in Persons Act.

Know your man like a good book from front cover to the back cover!

Talk of the Town / June Blanco Hot Flavor of the Week!
August 01, 2008, 07:20:21 PM
 :o
This week started out on PULSO Radyo show hosted by Batchoy Alba and Professor Fred.
That one woman living somewhere near Loay had gone into the office of the governor seeking a work application and according to the crying woman she was not treated in any way of kindness by June Blance (Private Secretary of the Governor of Bohol.)
What's new according to many texters and call ins  regarding June blanco's public service personality.
The popular hard hitting show for the past week had drones of people who know Blanco personaly and not one of them had positive supporting words to say.
Blanco is popular for her ways towards people, but she is strict and she is a good worker.
It's just her attitude that has many people angry with her in her treatment to the lady and also with their own personal run ins with her.

I had gone into the capitol office and some of the capitol staff workers said that June was not paying any attention to what was being said on the radio this week and her reactions when she was paying attention were that she was laughing out loud!

I said hello to her this morning after the governors report and she smiled back to me with a nice "Hi!" also.

In public service it is in the best interest to keep kind at all times.

Many texters and phone calls into the PULSO show over dyRD want June to aske for her resignation as she is a representative to the governor.

This morning during the normally schelduled Governors report Chito Vissara had hinted around to governer during the portion of answer and question time that issue regarding with Blanco being the "Hot topic of the week" but governor did not entertain the matter.
He entertained another matter of chito's.

Mayor Lim says it is not for a crying woman to make it a community issue for how she was treated by Ms. Blanco.

Other media anchor men have said enough is enough it's an overkill already.

More post to follow!

Stay Tuned.

Karon sa hapon daghan exspired medecines sinugba in front of many press witnesses after a press conference was held in order to witness the exspired and pulled off the shelf medicines from the freee clinic behind the mayor's cityhall building in Botika Katawahan.

I very weaping and emotional Deputy Mayor Uy was ever so thankfull for the persons who wanted to help and gave help by way of donating medicines.

Its was sad to watch him cry and wipe away his tears as he explained to media that he wants to help the poor and whom ever needs medicine at the time but can not afford it as he knows medicines these days are mahal in price.

It took three hollowed out metal barrels to get the job done of burning many types of medicines for any kind of body ailments.

The medicines almost did not make it to the burn barrel as two huge and very strong downpours of rain came during the press conference held outdoors of the Botika Katawahan.

By 6pm all medicines were burned and empty plastic medicine bottles were popping and being shot up into the air as they were having toxic reaction to the fire and its heat.

This press conference is because a couple of Kagawads had wanted the Botika to close because of expired medicines being distributed to people who were sick.

This past weekend a rally ws held downtown and it was enough to be in favor of opening up the Botika again but under another name.

Danao - Bohol / Why Eat Danao
February 23, 2008, 04:03:04 PM
Yeasterday Bohol media spent the day in Danao as a guest of Mayor during an informational forestry and training excercize for DENR and ANF members.

During the press conference the town mayor said that hit small town will become a tourist destination because it is a fourth class town with first class people.

There are other wonder's in Bohol besides Chocolate hills and panglao.

He exsplained "we have caves, cliff climbimg, a beautifull river valley and kayaking to offer to our tourist that will be coming here.

The media then went to three other sites to observe samples of composting, learn how to contain forest fires to keep from quickley spreading.

We also wen to a vantage point to take in a breath of fresh air and look over the canyon and river with caves and cliffs below.

There are even skeletal remains of dagohoy or even to be of his enemies or follower's.

The bones of the past can be seen at the entry site of the Danoa recreational training centre.

Last night I had the privilege to be invited to the board of director's diocese specail board meeting concerning a British National with a dual American citizenship who passed away in Boy district this past almost two months ago.
Until not the cadaver of George William Dawson has not been claimed by any members abroad who have the funds to handle the disposal of the body.
Both the American embassy and the British embassy do not have funds to handle the cadaver nor are they authorized to touch the cadaver.
The man was a veteran of foreign wars through the British Army  and this is an Allied with the American Army Dawson also became a dual citizen as well in the United States.
Several files have been destroyed over the years with the VFW and many veterans are unknown because of lost records or simple negligence on the American side.
The people here are not allowed to touch the cadaver they are only allowed to preserve it until some one can claim him.
I was at the COOP Funeral home last evening and what I had seen inside the coffin was not good as the cadaver is showing signs of weakening and has started decaying and the coffin inside has drips of moisture falling down on the cadaver.
Two months is too long of time.
Time for the right authorities to come along and settle this case of the melting casket.

When talking about Sevilla law enforcement personel being sent to go on permanant post in the small police station of Sevilla, they do not like it as it is far out of the way and not as exciting as the beat in the city.
They say they get bored as most the time there is nothing to do but just be ready for jump off at any time or day or night for any terrorist attacks that might happen.

Some police will actually go stir crazy as they tell you while on post there.
once these policemen have a day off and some being married with families they go nuts in the city or go to Cebu to hook up with women outside of their marriages.
They are doing it now and I was having a discussion to today with an SPO3 regarding a policemens infidelity?

He told me that there are plenty attitudes of the men in blue who like to chase after chicks when not near to their families or wives, but he also adds "What can you do once the man is doing what he has done?"

A god solution to help stimulate the PNP into going good for family might be to let the police make a round the world weekly rotations of the entire province rather then getting stale at one most for one to two years at a time.

;DEvery year at the same time despite our daily problems and worries we try our hardest always to be in the best of the most merriment in the spirit of sharing in the celebration of Christs arrival.

We gather with friends and family and loved one's and persons that are new in the family circle.
We eat we toast and boast and get looped for a few but in all of the fun we never forget the Christmas song that we have sung for many a year that seems most fitting for getting us into the reason of the season.

What is the first Christmas song that always comes to your mind and in what way how does it make you feel?

:o In a recent media practitioners seminar this past two days we learned new steps on how to talk about Reproductive health topics and discussed as well as what are the problems that are decreasing environmental health for everyone.

We all know humans are the number one contributors of causing unsafe conditions for all of us.

In America they are using paper bags for most shopping as it is biodegradable and does not take up to much land.

Here in the Philippines where the population is in abundance the stores here are using plastic bags (Cellophane) to put all your store bought items into.

What are the other ways to make these bags be of a house hold practical use?

I have observed the school kids creating some pretty neat things with these bags.

If you know of any craft or use to make out of cellophane bags just jot it down and tell us about it and how to make it in order to use it and keep it from over filling our land fills.

General Topic / Dishonest Police as Friends
November 26, 2007, 08:09:21 PM
I know of one police man here in the province who is probably not too much different like any others when it comes to throwing of their badge and they're uniform after duty.

I have assisted a local police man here who's daughter I am willing to help out, but when I asked him if he could help pay for a birthday gift for his first child whom he has not ever bought anything for her to begin with in his entire life.

He stop being my friend?

When he needed money to buy tires and parts for his car he could depend on me also promising to pay it back but never did.

I even let him borrow P7000.00 for his wife in Jagna who gave birth to a baby son on election day to be able to pay the baby's birthing bill.

He has four children with three different women, and he was currently separated for alomost one year from his wife but she cried the one night when he went home to bring money for the first child.
He had given in and both not using any type of method of birth control she got pregnant that night.

They can barely afford this child as it is.

Shortly after that another Tagbilaran city PNP, asked me to borrow another money, and has yet to pay me back?

Neither one of these suppose to be community law abiding guys have ever talked or tried texting me to make arrangement for payments?
No reply if I text them.

What kind of roles models do we have here if our police and our city leaders do not know how to handle their own lives with responsibility and treat persons with fairness and kindness and set good examples both on and off duty.

This is not the right kind of people for thejob they are hired for.
Should they be fighting crime when they are committing extortion themselves?

It puts a black mark on the entire police force when a few cops are not standing behind what they are enforcing others not to do. :(

I am hit up constantly by all kinds of politicians and city and provincial government persons to lend them money.

Stop having kids if you can not afford them do not make them an other persons responsibility.

Avoid embarrassing your community and family by extortion of others then get snippity towards the ones who do help you.

Imagine if two police are behaving like this then you know there are more out there like them.

What does this say about society here today as a whole?
