From a previous report in one of the TV stations here in the country I have a feeling that the "so-called whistle blower" is trying to evade the axe because she was the one who had direct knowledge in the manipulation of the receipts. A strategy called "diverting the blame".  But it's just my gut-feeling, it may or may not be accurate but so far my gut feeling has not failed me.

Bible Study / New Christmas softdrink TV advertisement
November 21, 2011, 03:08:29 PM
Its' Christmas time and it's typical for various consumer product suppliers to have ads with a Christmas twist. One particular softdrink catches my attention as well as my concern. In this ad it shows Santa drinking this particular bottle of soft-drink then picks up this "glass ball" (I know there is a correct name for that kind of ball but it somehow escapes me) and starts tilting it and the next things that happen are that a father who is working overtime gets to whisked to his child's recital, a concert pianist gets to be whisked to his family and so forth and so forth. Seems somehow amusing but heart-warming but what bothers me most is that it seems to imply that Santa is more powerful than GOD. Sounds like blasphemy don't you think? And its shown on nationwide if not worldwide TV. Personally, of course it's just amusing for me but how about the little ones and the mal-educated if not uneducated adults who most often think and see that what they see in TV or movies are truths and/or facts. Anyways this is just a piece of my mind but try to ponder among yourselves and see the bigger picture or the subtle alarming messages...

Hahahahaha... basin tingali pud kay for quite some time Tagbilarananons have been seemingly complacent. But that's my opinion, I may be proven wrong otherwise. I got this idea because in all the advocacy works that I have been into, whether for the province or for a particular LGU, I get flustered, despite our well-meaning efforts with the wait-and-see attitude of most Tagbilararons.

You have converted to Chatto while I have become the othr way around. You know "gintonic" had Chatto not done what he did to EBA's CONA last year, I would have been an ardent Chatto supporter to the very end. But, unfortunately, though I did not want to believe the "intel" that came across us, and coming even from within "his" office at the congress, I was disheartened because long have I considered Chatto as a great person, even when I was still in high school. But I consider treachery, as one of the un-forgiveable and un-condonable offenses anyone can commit towards me or to other people. The things that people saw or consider as treachery by EBA were in fact, "tactical-negotiations".. However, I am not at liberty to expound this since I don't  have the appropriate security clearance...

I myself have been guilty of temporarily losing my kid. And as always it was my eldest son and as always it happened at SM Cebu. He was in the ages between 6-8 years old. Thrice we had to frantically search for my eldest because he has an affinity of pushing grocery carts and he is a very sociable person. And in all these instances I found him at the entrances or exits where the taxis pick up shoppers with bewildered families wondering why there is an extra kid with them. We just all end up laughing with them when I found my kid...

I did not want to join the discussion but what irked me was when these foreigners or Pinoys born and educated abroad tend to say their better really ticks me off! You people may have those so called classes but look at you! How many broken families do you have? You people treat marriage like a shirt, if its dirty or you are bored with it you throw it away, that if you dont like how your marriage is going, you file for divorce. And what effect does it do to your kids? And to your kids, what a despicable attitude, children calling their parents by their first names! And you people say its a democracy! Pag chur mo oist!!!! Its only on your country that your children bring guns to school and start shooting people. Heck you are right! Parents should be responsible in caring and nurturing their children. So I guess that is how you nurture them, give them the opportunity to bring guns to school and start shooting people. I might be quite far off from the topic but as long as you make a comment about you people being better than us Filipinos then expect to get treatment with extreme prejudice...

Oh yes we are, that's why whenever if PFF gives some equipment or other effects for football, Bohol rarely gets to receive these...
#18
Yes they are close relatives. Mr. Erwin "Parts" Angalot is currently the Coach of the Holy Name University Football Teams. Elementary up to college but as of late he has concentrated on the High School and Elementary teams. He is instrumental to the revival and maybe even the survival of Football here in the city. He has a dream of having even Bohol or Tagbilaran be recognized by PFA so that we can be separate and independent of Cebu and be given separate support. With your undertakings combined with ours we might have a chance of being a separate block from Cebu and enjoy the benefits that PFA has to offer...

Yes, the lower age brackets are the best categories to focus on. We have had a few tournaments and mostly these were in the lower levels and the 7-aside format to maximize use of the grand stand and shorten the lenght of tournament. If not for the elections we would have around 2 or 3 tournaments this year but somehow we have a fairly difficult time getting financiers. Probably, after the elections things will be back to norm,a here in Tagbilaran. I am working cloesely with Parts Angalot. By the way before I went back home about 5 years ago I played with the Don Bosco Alumni Football Club...

At first when "Melrose" mentioned about this show a few years back I did not pay much attention. But when I was able to watch it during it's premier showing at GMA-7 I got hooked. I got so hooked in it that there were 2-Fridays that I did not sleep just to watch downloaded episodes of that show in certain sites. The show that got me hooked is none other than Queen Seon Deok. This is quite different from the trash soap operas I see in be it ABS or GMA because it tickles the mind. You may or may not agree with me but I'd like to hear your views/opinions on this show....

INFORMATION ABOUT VILLAR from Global Balita Blog Gloria's Secret Candidate Exposed 13 January 2010 PerryScope by Perry Diaz

Finally, after so much speculation about President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo's "secret candidate," a face has emerged. In his recent article, "Her" man, respected columnist and political consultant Lito Banayo exposed Manny Villar as Gloria's "secret candidate." I totally agree with Mr. Banayo's arguments that Villar is now Gloria's man.

In a recent survey, Villar is second to front runner Noynoy Aquino by 11% while Gilbert "Gibo" Teodoro -- Gloria's "anointed" candidate -- is languishing at the tail end of the survey in single digits. Unless there is a miracle or massive cheating in the May 10 elections, Gibo doesn't stand a chance of winning.. Simply put, Gloria wouldn't bet her political future on Gibo. Since it is not possible or probable that Gloria would support Noynoy, Villar is Gloria's only viable pick. Even if Gloria tried to play ball with Noynoy, I doubt if Noynoy would be willing to play with Gloria.

On the other hand, Villar had nothing to lose and everything to gain by secretly dealing with Gloria. Heck, the fact that Villar allied himself with the leftists just shows that he would deal with the Devil himself if that's what it would take to win the presidency. As he recently said, "the presidency is my last dream." Indeed, it's the
ultimate dream of a lifetime that he would relentlessly -- and ruthlessly -- pursue by any means his money could buy. And that's what makes Villar as dangerous as -- if not more dangerous than -- Gloria.

The fact that Villar has reportedly planned to spend at least P7 billion of his own money in his presidential campaign manifests his steely determination to win the presidency. That kind of money would be enough to buy the election. And should Villar win the election, how would he recoup his "investment" in his campaign?

Rags to riches Villar claimed that he came from a poor family from Tondo. His father was a government employee and his mother was selling fish at the public market in Divisoria.. When he was a boy, Villar said that he helped his mother sell fish. However, there were reports that Villar was adopted by the wealthy Jalandoni family of Nueva Ecija. When he reached legal age, the Jalandoni patriarch deeded 400 hectares in Licab, Nueva Ecija under his name.

In 1975, Villar married the former Cynthia Aguilar, daughter of a politically powerful and wealthy family from Las Pinas City . With his wife's wealth, Villar started building and selling homes. He became a millionaire and a leader in the housing industry. Basking in his "rags to riches" accomplishment, Villar entered politics.

In 1992, he ran for Congress and won. In 1998, he was chosen Speaker of the House of Representatives. In 2001, he ran for Senator and won. In 2007, after his reelection he was chosen Senate President. During his presidency of the Senate, a scandal erupted that would haunt Villar for the rest of his political life. In October 2008, Sen. Panfilo Lacson, in a privileged speech alleged that Villar caused the "double insertion" of funds into the C-5 extension project linking Las Pinas to Paranaque in the 2008 national budget. Lacson said that
Villar allocated another P200 million on top of the P200 million already allotted by Malacañang for the same purpose. Sen. Jamby Madrigal joined the fray when she alleged that Villar "wanted the C-5 extension to cut through his property so he could sell the property at a higher price." A month later, Villar was ousted from his presidency of the Senate.

In 2009, Villar declared his presidential bid amidst the "double insertion" scandal of which he has yet to be cleared.  Conflict of interest (A VIOLATION OF THE CONSTITUTION) One of the hazards of running for president is that your life story becomes public and everything you've done in the past is unearthed and exposed for all to see. One of the issues that has been dogging Villar recently was the appearance of "conflict of interest" in regard to his real estate empire vis-à-vis his elected position as a legislative leader in both chambers of Congress.

WHILE the Senate is declaring a moratorium on the discussion of the ethics case against Sen. Manny Villar, here are some incontrovertible facts, presented in Q & A form. The source of the information is also given.

Question: What roadway projects are the subject matter of the Villar ethics controversy?
Answer: 1. The Manila Cavite Toll Expressway Project (MCTEP), the original C-5 south extension project, linking SLEX with the Coastal Road; 2. the DPWH C-5 Extension project (CX-5), which together with 3. the Las Piñas-Parañaque Link Project (LPPLP), also links SLEX with the Coastal Road. Source: Senate Report (SR) 780.

Q: Is the CX-5/LPPLP project a realignment, as Sen. Jamby Madrigal describes it, or has there been no realignment, as Senator Villar’s allies insist? A: Technically there has been no realignment, because these are two separate roads linking C-5 from SLEX to the Coastal Road. But they are very close together and, in some areas, overlap, as can be ascertained from a site map. Source: interactive map available at www.gmanews. tv

Q: Are there any differences between the MCTEP and the CX-5/LPPLP?
A: Yes. 1. The MCTEP is a joint-venture project between the government and a private Malaysian partner, with the government’s financial exposure limited to P2.68 billion for the purchase of the road right-of-way; the private partner is responsible for the construction of the project, for which tolls will be charged. The CX-5/LPPLP is a toll-free, wholly-financed government project costing P6.96 billion; 2. The CX-5/LPPLP is longer than the MCTEP, its extra length essentially covering the LPPLP portion; 3. The CX-5/LPPLP passes through more Villar properties than the MCTEP. Source: DPWH project documents cited as Exhibits A, B and TTTT in SR 780; site map from www.gmanews. tv.

Q: How large are the Villar company landholdings in the immediate vicinity of the questioned road projects?
A: At least 50-52 hectares: 40 hectares in the vicinity of the LPPLP; 10-12 hectares in the area between Sucat Road and Multinational Avenue. Source: testimony of Anastacio Adriano Jr., senior vice president and general manager, chief operating officer of Adelfa Properties Inc. and other Villar-owned companies up to 2008; self-styled consultant and political officer of Senator Villar since August 2008. Nota bene: Senate employment records do not include his name. Nota bene: it is not clear whether the 50-52 hectares mentioned above include properties cited in SR 780â€"roughly 10 hectares in areaâ€"to be developed by Villar companies in joint venture with their owners.

Q: What is the involvement of Villar in CX-5 and LPPLP?
A: 1. The Project Feasibility Study of the DPWH for CX-5 states: “The conceptualization of and the initial release of funds for the CX-5 Project was initiated by Sen. Manuel Villar whose same efforts also paved the way for the funding of the Las Piñas-Parañaque Link Road [LPPLP]”; 2. Various insertions and amendments (Priority Development Assistance Fund, read pork barrel) in the national government budget over the years 2002-2008 for CX-5 and LPPLP; 3. Adriano (cited above), in the office of and presence of Villar, dictating to the director general of the Senate’s Legislative Budget Research and Monitoring Office (LBRMO) Villar’s proposed amendments to the 2008 budget, including a P400-million appropriation for the CX-5.. Source: documents submitted by DPWH, lawyer Yolanda Doblon of the LBRMO, testimony of both Doblon and Adriano, cited in SR 780.

Q: Were the Villar properties bought for road right-of-way overpriced?
A: SR 780 argues for the affirmative; PSR 1472 (the resolution signed by Villar and his allies exonerating him from all charges) argues for the negative. This calls for a conclusion of the reader. And to help that along, I haveâ€"based on the documented prices and acreage of the lands purchased in connection with the LPPLPâ€"computed the weighted average prices that were paid for the Villar and related properties, and those paid for the non-Villar properties. The results: The Villar/related properties, comprising 23,455 square meters, were bought for P168.1 million. The non-Villar properties, comprising 11,685 square meters, were bought for P22 million. That comes to a weighted average of P7,168 per square meter for Villar’s properties, and P1,880 per square meter for the non-Villar properties. That has to be a statistically significant difference.

Given the above factsâ€"which no one can contest, since they are based on official documents, and not on a he-says-she- says set of assertionsâ€"it has to be reasonable to conclude:

1. Since there was already an ongoing project (the MCTEP) linking C-5 to the Coastal Road, it was totally unnecessary to build a second one.

2. Which means that there was a waste of scarce resources. Instead of using only P2.6 billion of government funds for the first project, the government had to spend an additional P6.9 billion for the second, which practically duplicated the first, except for the additional length which happily for Senator Villar, traversed his properties.

3. This unnecessary, wasteful project was certainly Villar’s idea. It is specious to argue that it is a DPWH project. As the DPWH feasibility study states (in black and white), both the CX-5 and the LPPLP were conceived and initially funded by Villar.

4. Villar benefited tremendously from the second project. Certainly, his companies were paid significantly more per square meter for the road right of way (which were mostly bought from him). But that pales into insignificance compared with the tremendous increase in the values of his real estate holdings in the areaâ€"at least 50-52 hectares.

Is he blameless? Is the Pope protestant?

Though I can somehow relate a little bit with you on what it is like having a relationship with an older person...my past girl-friends were older than I was. Thought the largest gap was the one where my girlfriend was 8 years older than I was, and that was one of the best relationships I ever had, though it was also the second most painful too... :(

Question and Answer / What Do You Make...
January 25, 2010, 05:14:00 PM

The dinner guests were sitting around the table discussing life.

One man, a CEO, decided to explain the problem with education.
He argued, "What's a kid going to learn from someone who decided his best option in life was to become a teacher?"

He reminded the other dinner guests what they say about teachers: "Those who can, do.. Those who can't, teach."

To stress his point he said to another guest; "You're a teacher, Bonnie. Be honest. What do you make?"

Bonnie, who had a reputation for honesty and frankness replied, "You want to know what I make? (She paused for a second, then began...)

"Well, I make kids work harder than they ever thought they could.

I make a C+ feel like the Congressional Medal of Honor winner.

I make kids sit through 40 minutes of class time when their parents can't make them sit for 5 without an I Pod, Game Cube or movie rental.

You want to know what I make?" (She paused again and looked at each and every person at the table.)

I make kids wonder.

I make them question.

I make them apologize and mean it.

I make them have respect and take responsibility for their actions.

I teach them to write and then I make them write. Keyboarding isn't everything.

I make them read, read, read.

I make them show all their work in math. They use their God given brain, not the man-made calculator.

I make my students from other countries learn everything they need to know about English while preserving their unique cultural identity.

I make my classroom a place where all my students feel safe.

I make my students stand, placing their hand over their heart to say the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag, One Nation Under God, because we live in the United States of America.

Finally, I make them understand that if they use the gifts they were given, work hard, and follow their hearts, they can succeed in life.

(Bonnie paused one last time and then continued.)

"Then, when people try to judge me by what I make, with me knowing money isn't everything, I can hold my head up high and pay no attention because they are ignorant....

You want to know what I make?

I MAKE A DIFFERENCE. What do you make Mr. CEO?"

His jaw dropped, he went silent.

THIS IS WORTH SENDING TO EVERY TEACHER YOU KNOW.

Even all your personal teachers like mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, and your spiritual leaders/teachers - Pastors/Priests/Clergy.

Jokes and Humor / Up or Down?
January 25, 2010, 05:09:11 PM

At a Senior Citizen's luncheon, an elderly
gentleman and an elderly lady struck up a conversation and discovered that they both loved to fish.
Since both of them were widowed, they decided to go fishing together the next day.
The gentleman picked the lady up, and they headed to the river to his fishing boat and started out on their adventure.
They were riding down the river when there was a fork in the river, and the gentleman asked the lady,
'Do you want to go up or down?'
All of a sudden the lady stripped off her shirt and pants and made mad passionate love to the man right there in the boat !

When they finished, the man couldn't believe
what had just happened, but he had just experienced the best sex that he'd had in years.
They fished for a while and continued on down the river, when soon they came upon another fork in the river.
He again asked the lady , 'Up or down ?'
There she went again, stripped off her clothes, and made wild passionate love to him again.
This really impressed the elderly gentleman, so he asked her to go fishing again the next day.
She said yes and there they were the next day, riding in the boat when they came upon the fork in river, and the elderly gentleman asked, 'Up or down ?'
The woman replied, 'Down..'
A little puzzled and disappointed, the gentleman guided the boat down the river when he came upon another fork in the river and he asked 'Up or down ?'
She replied, 'Up.'
This really confused the gentleman so he asked, 'What's the deal? Yesterday, every time I asked
you if you wanted to go up or down you made mad
passionate love to me. Now today, nothing!'
She replied, 'Well, yesterday I wasn't wearing my hearing aid and I thought the choices were f*** or drown.

How To Tips / Think Before You Speak
January 23, 2010, 12:07:18 PM
Here are six reasons why you should think before you speak - the last one is great!
Have you ever spoken and wished that you could immediately take the words back...
Here are the Testimonials of a few people who did....

FIRST TESTIMONY:
"I walked into a hair salon with my husband and three kids in tow
and asked loudly, 'How much do you charge for a shampoo and a blow job?'
I turned around and walked back out and never went back.
My husband didn't say a word... he knew better."

SECOND TESTIMONY:
"I was at the golf store comparing different kinds of golf balls.
I was unhappy with the women's type I had been using.
After browsing for several minutes,
I was approached by one of the good-looking gentlemen who works at the store.
He asked if he could help me.
Without thinking, I looked at him and said, 'I think I like playing with men's balls.'"

THIRD TESTIMONY:
"My sister and I were at the mall and passed by a store that sold a
variety of candy and nuts.
As we were looking at the display case, the boy behind the counter asked if we needed any help.
I replied, 'No, I'm just looking at your nuts.'
My sister started to laugh hysterically.
The boy grinned, and I turned beet-red and walked away.
To this day, my sister has never let me forget."

FOURTH TESTIMONY :
"While in line at the bank one afternoon, my toddler decided to release some pent-up energy and ran amok.
I was finally able to grab hold of her after receiving looks of disgust
and annoyance from other patrons.
I told her that if she did not start behaving 'right now' she would be punished.
To my horror, she looked me in the eye and said in a voice just as threatening, 'If you don't let me go right now, I will tell Grandma that I saw you kissing Daddy's pee-pee last night!'
The silence was deafening after this enlightening exchange.
Even the tellers stopped what they were doing.
I mustered up the last of my dignity and walked out of the bank with my daughter in tow.
The last thing I heard when the door closed behind me, were screams of laughter."

FIFTH TESTIMONY:
"Have you ever asked your child a question too many times?
My three-year-old son had a lot of problems with potty training and I was on him constantly.
One day we stopped at Taco Bell for a quick lunch, in between errands
It was very busy, with a full dining room.
While enjoying my taco, I smelled something funny, so of course I checked my seven-month-old daughter, she was clean.
Then realized that Danny had not asked to go potty in a while.
I asked him if he needed to go, and he said 'No'.
I kept thinking 'Oh Lord, that child has had an accident, and I don't have any clothes with me.'
Then I said, 'Danny, are you SURE you didn't have an accident?'
'No,' he replied.
I just KNEW that he must have had an accident, because the smell was getting worse.
Soooooo, I asked one more time, 'Danny did you have an accident ? This time he jumped up, yanked down his pants, bent over, spread his cheeks and yelled 'SEE MOM, IT'S JUST FARTS!!'
While 30 people nearly choked to death on their tacos laughing, he calmly pulled up his pants and sat down.
An old couple made me feel better, thanking me for the best laugh they'd ever had!"

LAST BUT NOT LEAST TESTIMONY:
"This had most of the state of Michigan laughing for 2 days and a very embarrassed female news anchor who will, in the future, likely think before she speaks.
What happens when you predict snow but don't get any!
We had a female news anchor that, the day after it was supposed to have snowed and didn't, turned to the weatherman and asked:
'So Bob, where's that 8 inches you promised me last night?'
Not only did HE have to leave the set, but half the crew did too they were laughing so hard!"

Now, didn't that feel good?
Pass it on to someone you know who needs a laugh and remember
we all say things we don't really mean, so think before you speak!!!

1500'S..... The Old Days!!!

The next time you are washing your hands and complain because the water temperature isn't just how you like it, think about how things used to be.

Here are some interesting facts about the 1500's:

Most people got married in June because they took their yearly bath in May, and still smelled pretty good by June. However, they were starting to smell, so brides carried a bouquet of flowers to hide the body odour. Hence the custom today of carrying a bouquet when getting married.

Baths consisted of a big tub filled with hot water.
The man of the house had the privilege of the nice clean water, then all the other sons and men, then the women and finally the other children, last of all the babies. By then the water was so dirty you could actually lose someone in it. Hence the saying, "Don't throw the baby out with the bath water.."

Houses had thatched roofs-thick straw-piled high, with no wood underneath. It was the only place for animals to get warm, so all the cats and other small animals (mice, bugs) lived in the roof. When it rained it became slippery and sometimes the animals would slip and off the roof.
Hence the saying "It's raining cats and dogs."

There was nothing to stop things from falling into the house. This posed a real problem in the bedroom where bugs and other droppings could mess up your nice clean bed. Hence, a bed with big posts and a sheet hung over the top offered some protection. That's how canopy beds came into existence.

The floor was dirt. Only the wealthy had something other than dirt. Hence the saying "dirt poor." The wealthy had slate floors that would get slippery in the winter when wet, so they spread thresh (straw) on the floor to help keep their footing. As the winter wore on, they added more thresh until when you opened the door it would all start slipping outside. A piece of wood was placed in the entranceway. Hence the saying a "thresh hold."

(Getting quite an education, aren't you?)

In those old days, they cooked in the kitchen with a big kettle that always hung over the fire.. Every day they lit the fire and added things to the pot. They ate mostly vegetables and did not get much meat. They would eat the stew for dinner, leaving leftovers in the pot to get cold overnight and then start over the next day. Sometimes stew had food in it that had been there for quite a while. Hence the rhyme, "Peas porridge hot, peas porridge cold, peas porridge in the pot nine days old."

Sometimes they could obtain pork, which made them feel quite special. When visitors came over, they would hang up their bacon to show off. It was a sign of wealth that a man could "bring home the bacon." They would cut off a little to share with guests and would all sit around and "chew the fat."

Those with money had plates made of pewter. Food with high acid content caused some of the lead to leach onto the food, causing lead poisoning death. This happened most often with tomatoes, so for the next 400 years or so, tomatoes were considered poisonous.

Bread was divided according to status. Workers got the burnt bottom of the loaf, the family got the middle, and guests got the top, or "upper crust."

Lead cups were used to drink ale or whisky.
The combination would sometimes knock the imbibers out for a couple of days. Someone walking along the road would take them for dead and prepare them for burial. They were laid out on the kitchen table for a couple of days and the family would gather around and eat and drink and wait to see if they would wake up. Hence the custom of holding a "wake."

England is old and small and the local folks started running out of places to bury people. So they would dig up coffins and would take the bones to a "bone-house" and reuse the grave. When reopening these coffins, 1 out of 25 coffins were found to have scratch marks on the inside and they realized they had been burying people alive. So they would tie a string on the wrist of the corpse, lead it through the coffin and up through the ground and tie it to a bell. Someone would have to sit out in the graveyard all night (the "graveyard shift") to listen for the bell; thus, someone could be "saved by the bell" or was considered a "dead ringer."

And that's the truth! Who said that History was boring?!

A Media Statement on the Anti-RH Survey

Released by PLCPD Foundation ● 12 January 2010

===============================================================================

PLCPD is stunned by the lack of honesty and sense of decency shown by the Alliance of Family Life Organizations and Family Life Philippines who claim responsibility for the purported Filipino Family survey that said Filipinos rejected the RH Bill.  Whereas numerous independent surveys made by Pulse Asia and SWS since 1993 to 2009 has registered consistent and overwhelming support of Filipinos for family planning and reproductive health policy, this Family Life survey sponsored, conducted and announced by the same set of self-proclaimed pro-Life leaders attempts to project an entirely different result.

We question the fact that those who commissioned the Family Life Survey are the same persons who operates the HB & A International, the research firm that conducted the survey. Based on our inquiries, HB&A International is led by Dr. Joselito Sandejas as chairman and Tony Abaya as managing director.  Dr. Sandejas is also the Chairman of Alliance of Family Life Organizations.

Simply put, the persons who commissioned the survey were the same persons who designed and proudly announced the deceiving result of this survey.

By asking leading questions, the Family Life survey produced the result that 90% of those who surveyed were not in favor with the salient points of the RH Bill, which include teaching children aged 10 to 11 to learn sex techniques with vivid pictures from male and female teachers who will explain only the biological and technical aspects of sex.  Yet, there is nothing in the proposed RH Bill that mandates teaching of sex techniques.

Clearly this survey is part of continuing misinformation campaign of the anti-RH groups to veer away the Filipino people in voting for responsible candidates who are supportive of the reproductive health and other health and development issues in the upcoming elections.

PLCPD also cautions former Secretary Lito Atienza about his attacks on the person of Rep. Edcel Lagman.    Contrary to Atienza’s claim that Cong. Lagman and other RH bill authors are fooling the Filipinos, the 130 authors of the bill and courageous members of Congress truly represent the sentiment of many women who primarily suffer from lack of reproductive health care and services by the government.

The very limited information on how the science and methods of Family Life Survey was conducted makes this initiative highly suspicious.  This anti-RH survey is unverifiable contrary to the previous surveys conducted by the Social Weather Station and Pulse Asia were all related survey information were made available to the public and easily accessible through their websites..

If the intent is to show the real perception of the Filipino people on reproductive health, and not deceive the public on its actual results, then PLCPD demands from the Pro-Life Philippines and Alliance of Family Life Organizations to disclose the full results and methodology of this survey.

hala oi! nagbasa ko ani, akong utok pwerteng liraw-liraw jud as in! very interesting article Bruce! at the end this confilict will end up like what had happen in the beginning.

They both have plans to rule the world.

Mr. Geerts' apprehension may possibly happen but the good thing that will come out of it is that the Jews will prevail for they are the chosen people of GOD. The bible has already prophesied it and we the "Gentiles" (that includes the "Christians") can only hope that we will be the ones to the join the Kingdom of GOD during the 2nd coming of CHRIST. BUt personally I would prefer if I was one of those that will be included in the rapture than having to go through the tribulations before HIS 2nd coming. The Jews do not intend to rule but it is GOD's will that they prevail. All others can do their worst and be their worst but in the end GOD prevails. "Satan is smiling and laughing gaily" as "they" continue on with their misguided beliefs kay daghan naman siyag (si Taning) makahig sa impyerno

“AMERICA AS THE LAST MAN STANDING.”

PLEASE READ THE SPEECH OF GEERT WILDERS

DUTCH MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT

GIVEN IN FOUR SEASONS, NEW YORK

America as the last man standing:

'In a generation or two, the US will ask itself: who lost Europe ?'

Here is the speech of Geert Wilders, Chairman, Party for Freedom, the Netherlands , given at the Four Seasons, New York , introducing an Alliance of Patriots and announcing the Facing Jihad Conference in Jerusalem .

Dear friends,

Thank you very much for inviting me.

I come to America with a mission. All is not well in the old world. There is a tremendous danger looming , and it is very difficult to be optimistic. We might be in the final stages of the Islamization of Europe . This not only is a clear and present danger to the future of Europe itself, it is a threat to America and the sheer survival of the West. The United States as the last bastion of Western civilization, facing an Islamic Europe .

First I will describe the situation on the ground in Europe . Then, I will say a few things about Islam. To close I will tell you about a meeting in Jerusalem .

The Europe you know is changing.

You have probably seen the landmarks. But in all of these cities, sometimes a few blocks away from your tourist destination, there is another world. It is the world of the parallel society created by Muslim mass-migration.

All throughout Europe a new reality is rising: entire Muslim neighborhoods where very few indigenous people reside or are even seen. And if they are, they might regret it. This goes for the police as well. It's the world of head scarves, where women walk around in figureless tents, with baby strollers and a group of children. Their husbands, or slaveholders if you prefer, walk three steps ahead. With mosques on many street corners. The shops have signs you and I cannot read. You will be hard-pressed to find any economic activity. These are Muslim ghettos controlled by religious fanatics. These are Muslim neighborhoods, and they are mushrooming in every city across Europe . These are the building-blocks for territorial control of increasingly larger portions of Europe , street by street, neighborhood by neighborhood, city by city.

There are now thousands of mosques throughout Europe . With larger congregations than there are in churches. And in every European city there are plans to build super-mosques that will dwarf every church in the region. Clearly, the signal is: we rule.

Many European cities are already one-quarter Muslim: just take Amsterdam , Marseille and Malmo in Sweden. In many cities the majority of the under-18 population is Muslim. Paris is now surrounded by a ring of Muslim neighborhoods. Mohammed is the most popular name among boys in many cities.

In some elementary schools in Amsterdam the farm can no longer be mentioned, because that would also mean mentioning the pig, and that would be an insult to Muslims.

Many state schools in Belgium and Denmark only serve halal food to all pupils. In once-tolerant Amsterdam gays are beaten up almost exclusively by Muslims. Non-Muslim women routinely hear 'whore, whore'. Satellite dishes are not pointed to local TV stations, but to stations in the country of origin.

In France school teachers are advised to avoid authors deemed offensive to Muslims, including Voltaire and Diderot; the same is increasingly true of Darwin .. The history of the Holocaust can no longer be taught because of Muslim sensitivity.

In England sharia courts are now officially part of the British legal system..Many neighborhoods in France are no-go areas for women without head scarves. Last week a man almost died after being beaten up by Muslims in Brussels , because he was drinking during the Ramadan.

Jews are fleeing France in record numbers, on the run for the worst wave of anti-Semitism sinc e World War II. French is now commonly spoken on the streets of Tel Aviv and Netanya, Israel . I could go on forever with stories like this. Stories about Islamization.

A  total of fifty-four million Muslims now live in Europe . San Diego University recently calculated that a staggering 25 percent of the population in Europe will be Muslim just 12 years from now.. Ber nhard Lewis has predicted a Muslim majority by the end of this century.

Now these are just numbers. And the numbers would not be threatening if the Muslim-immigrants had a strong desire to assimilate. But there are few signs of that. The Pew Research Center reported that half of French Muslims see their loyalty to Islam as greater than their loyalty to France . One-third of French Muslims do not object to suicide attacks. The British Centre for Social Cohesion reported that one-third of British Muslim students are in favor of a worldwide caliphate. Muslims demand what they call 'respect'. And this is how we give them respect. We have Muslim official state holidays.

The Christian-Democratic attorney general is willing to accept sharia in the Netherlands if there is a Muslim majority. We have cabinet members with passports from Morocco and Turkey .

Muslim demands are supported by unlawful behavior, ranging from petty crimes and random violence, for example against ambulance workers and bus drivers, to small-scale riots. Paris has seen its uprising in the low-income suburbs, the banlieus. I call the perpetrators 'settlers'. Because that is what they are. They do not come to integrate into our societies, they come to integrate our society into their Dar-al-Islam. Therefore, they are settlers.

Much of this street violence I mentioned is directed exclusively against non-Muslims, forcing many native people to leave their neighborhoods, their cities, their countries. Moreover, Muslims are now a swing vote not to be ignored.

The second thing you need to know is the importance of Mohammed the prophet. His behavior is an example to all Muslims and cannot be criticized. Now, if Mohammed had been a man of peace, let us say like Ghandi and Mother Theresa wrapped in one, there would be no problem. But Mohammed was a warlord, a mass murderer, a pedophile, and had several marriages - at the same time. Islamic tradition tells us how he fought in battles, how he had his enemies murdered and even had prisoners of war executed. Mohammed himself slaughtered the Jewish tribe of Banu Qurayza. If it is good for Islam, it is good. If it is bad for Islam, it is bad.

Let no one fool you about Islam being a religion. Sure, it has a god, and a here-after, and 72 virgins. But in its essence Islam is a political ideology. It is a system that lays down detailed rules for society and the life of every person. Islam wants to dictate every aspect of life. Islam means 'submission'. Islam is not compatible with freedom and democracy, because what it strives for is sharia. If you want to compare Islam to anything, compare it to communism or national-socialism, these are all totalitarian ideologies.

Now you know why Winston Churchill called Islam 'the most retrograde force in the world', and why he compared Mein Kampf to the Quran. The public has wholeheartedly accepted the Palestinian narrative, and sees Israel as the aggressor. I have lived in this country and visited it dozens of times. I support Israel . First, because it is the Jewish homeland after two thousand years of exile up to and including Auschwitz, second because it is a democracy, and third because Israel is our first line of defense.

This tiny country is situated on the fault line of jihad, frustrating Islam's territorial advance. Israel is facing the front lines of jihad, like Kashmir, Kosovo, the Philippines, Southern Thailand, Darfur in Sudan, Lebanon, and Aceh in Indonesia . Israel is simply in the way. The same way West-Berlin was during the Cold War.

The war against Israel is not a war against Israel . It is a war against the West. It is jihad. Israel is simply receiving the blows that are meant for all of us. If there would have been no Israel , Islamic imperialism would have found other venues to release its energy and its desire for conquest. Thanks to Israeli parents who send their children to the army and lay awake at night, parents in Europe and America can sleep well and dream, unaware of the dangers looming.

Many in Europe argue in favor of abandoning Israel in order to address the grievances of our Muslim minorities. But if Israel were, God forbid, to go down, it would not bring any solace to the West It would not mean our Muslim minorities would all of a sudden change their behavior, and accept our values. On the contrary, the end of Israel would give enormous encouragement to the forces of Islam. They would, and rightly so, see the demise of Israel as proof that the West is weak, and doomed. The end of Israel would not mean the end of our problems with Islam, but only the beginning... It would mean the start of the final battle for world domination. If they can get Israel , they can get everything.So-called journalists volunteer to label any and all cr itics of Islamization as a 'right-wing extremists' or 'racists'. In my country, the Netherlands , 60 percent of the population now sees the mass immigration of Muslims as the number one policy mistake since World War II. And another 60 percent sees Islam as the biggest threat. Yet there is a danger greater danger than terrorist attacks, the scenario of America as the last man standing. The lights may go out in Europe faster than you can imagine. An Islamic Europe means a Europe without freedom and democracy, an economic wasteland, an intellectual nightmare, and a loss of military might for America - as its allies will turn into enemies, enemies with atomic bombs. With an Islamic Europe, it would be up to America alone to preserve the heritage of Rome , Athens and Jerusalem .

Dear friends, liberty is the most precious of gifts. My generation never had to fight for this freedom, it was offered to us on a silver platter, by people who fought for it with their lives. All throughout Europe American cemeteries remind us of the young boys who never made it home, and whose memory we cherish. My generation does not own this freedom; we are merely its custodians. We can only hand over this hard won liberty to Europe 's children in the same state in which it was offered to us. We cannot strike a deal with mullahs and imams. Future generations would never forgive us. We cannot squander our liberties. We simply do not have the right to do so.

Halu BAI BENE!

FYI: Twice, Cesar Montano's brother has been involved in very undesirable circumstances. First one almost came out to a point wherein two parties were ready for a shoot-out. HHEEELLLLOOOWWW!!!!
Unsa kahay kalaki nya sa igsoon niya kon mahimo siyang Governor? Kuydawg mamalik ag mga "armed NPAs" anang panahona kay naa napuy abusado... wadjatink "pepoles"
#48
Probable reasons why nagamay ang mga NPA. Migration (moving to other regions) is one reason, another as I previously mentioned, is that the PGBh has "reached out" to the hinterlands thus "hampering" the support of the local folks towards the group. Third one, which is the saddest of them all, is the purging among their ranks...
#49
We will know the answer to that after the go signal is given...
#50
Pero gabii (12/09/2009) lagi kay balintong man ag nahitabo... kinsa namay na kick-out karon? As of 4:00 AM today more than 40 mayors have signified their loyalty and alliance to EBA irregardless of the party affiliation and just waits the go signal for the "slaughter"(figuratively speaking, not to be taken in context) . What happens now? That's why I vowed never to get back into politics tungod sa perfidy within and without...it's gonna be a killing (politically speaking of course...)
#51

But let's face it, asa may mas mas fulfilling? Mag pa hilum-hilum lang o magpabuhagay all the way? I'd like only the women to answer this with all truthfulness, way labot mga laki ha! Kay sa experience nako mas delikado ang mga mag hilum-hilum lang kay i-agi either bunlotun among buhok or, mangamras hangtod magkadugo ang agi namo og usahay manipa pa inig buhagay na... ???

Ang Dunkin Donut mas tam-is compared to Mister Donut. As for me lami ang Mister donut basta specially if bag-o siyang haon however its the other way around with Dunkin Donuts. So buot pasabot nako, pareha kalami ang bag-ong haon nga mister donut og bahaw nga Dunkin Donut og pareho ka way lam,i ang bag-ong haon nga Dunkin Donut of bahaw nga Mister Donut... labad noh  ;D ;D ;D

Yes it was a sad time CAT omitted and the ROTC training became optional. From that time on dramatic changes in the quality and caliber of the next generations occurred. There were more cases of gangsterism, frat-related violence, incompetent youth leaders and increased substance use and abuse and basically loss of direction. Commercialism in the boob tube gained greater influence.

Bitaw Bibo gyud ang CAT. From the training period to the final selection of qualified officers, mingling and sometimes even flirting/hooking up with the cute officers from other school units during joint activities, the bivouacs, the promotions (from Company Commander to Battallion Commander since our school converted to a Regiment due to the size of 600+ strong cadets/cadettes). Sa college Transition period sa Philippine history tong period namo. ROTC then was changed to CMT (Citizen Military Training) so of course I took up Basic which eventually led to my joining the military service in Fort Del Pilar but somehow I guess GOD had other plans for me so I went back to being a civilian and took up BSECE. Now I am in the media. What a strange turn.... ;D

By the way Raquel, what school were you when you were a CAT Officer? It is okey with you, what batch?...

Now I remember! CAT diay tuod ang pinaka-favorite nako pagaka High School. 2nd year paman diay tuod ko mi volunteer sa og CAT. Then when I was in the 4th year I became an officer. It was because of CAT that I experienced what real life was. The disparity between the classes as well as between the intellectuals and the idiots, encountering gangs (but I wasn't not a gang member though) and the joys and pains of falling in love.... ;D

Elementary - Science, English, Social Studies, Practical Arts and Scouting
High School - PE, English, Science, CAT
In college I forced myself to like Math that's why I took up Engineering   but I should have taken up MassComm if I only knew then that I would be very comfortable being a Media practitioner...

I dont believe that any gov't agency that would organize an event such as seminars and conferences would charge fees to the participants.
In fact I had attended gov't sponsored seminars, sila pa ang baghatag ug allowance......

BAI!

I can attest to this because I have also been sent and continually being sent to trainings/conventions/seminars/conferences and many others wherein which the main organizers are either LGUs or other gov't agencies and so far kaning libre unya dawat limpyo ang participnats unya naa pay allowance, pamilete nga back&forth + bongga pa nga kits and other freebies naa ni silay sponsors nga dagku unya multi-national or international pa. Sponsors such as USAID, AusAID, UNESCO, UNFPA, GREENPEACE, World Bank, World Vision are among a few of them. Even NGOs here in Bohol know of that.

Ang wala pa nako masulayi ang kanang outside of the country pa (although last year hapit unta kaso lang wala ko modayon kay wala koy personal pocket money ika gasto pang lakwatsa... ;D ;D ;D

Anyway, if the provincial government was also officially informed and tapped of that activity then mahitsura gyud to kay maulawan baya pud ta og ma unshami...
#72
BAI, if it were the Provincial Government that handled the event unya waly laing organizer, the participants would have been treated to site visits of historical landmarks, the Tarsier sanctuary and the Loboc River Cruise at least basta ang accomoodation dili lang sa Tropics but at some medyo lower priced function room or convention area pagka ngalan nga dili taga dinhi ang mga participants.

I root for the "palakero" maskig kadaghan nako miagig kasakit sa mga babae. Even now I advice girls and women nga manguyab og daghan kay kon binagasa ra, dilikadog madala sa gibating gibidli. Labi na kon ang style nga si morning si John then sa udto si Micheal then sa hapon si Peter then the next day lain napud nga set unya lain-lain every day of the week. This is judging from experience kay babaye man puy tutor nako adtong mga panahon nga miagi kog pagkapalero pud... ;D

I had a copy of this thread printed out and gave it to an agency in the provincial gov't to have them look into it and to contact the institution and the organizers to find out what happened. The furor is "bad for business". The Boholanos have worked hard to earn a good name and this thing happens! This needs looking into and I will talk to some of our fellow media practitioners that they might also look into...

Maayo pa jud daw ta ug atiman ug bisita.

I've basically grown-up in Cebu and I concur with what you said about fiesta celebrations in Cebu. Dili man gan sila mangimbitar sa silingan maskig gatapad ra ang balay. Mao ng basta mag storya gani ang mga Sugbuanon bahin og fiesta makurat jud sila and sometime wouldn't even believe nga "hulam-hulaman" pa gani ang bisita ubntil such time nga maka attend silag fiesta sa Bohol mao nang nahigamna hinuog mga kagwang magsigue nag bisita sa Bohol kada Mayo. ANg advice nga akong ihatag sa ila kon mamista is that they just prepare lots of anti-constipation pills, in case they can't resist over-eating ang sufficient funds for transportation. Food and accommodation is not a problem...

I regularly receive invitations from DCAAP since I had previously joined one of their trainings. This training might come in handy for local leaders in your own hometown if you think they need it. Maybe any of you can sponsor your howetown's LGU or even down to the barangay captain. It just came to my mind that instead of criticizing our local leaders for their blunders, maybe, just maybe... the just don't know how to do things and they need some kind of "extra instructions" to be able to perform bette as leaders. This will definitely the last of the "life improving" trainings I will post.

Why? Wasn't this included and discussed in the school curriculum here in Bohol? We were taught about this when I was still even in 5th Grade at Labangon Elementary School in Cebu in the Social Studies subject as well when  I was in High School (Social Studies was then changed to Araling Panlipunan). Hmmmmmm, just makes me wonder... Either the Boholano academe just wanted to hog the fame of the Sandugo or the educational system under the Marcos Regime was more comprehensive and had gone haywire under the Aquino Admininstration.. ???

"space", Pangutana, Asa ka nga LGU og asa naka base ang Honorarium? Og LGU naka base then dili jud na malikayan nga na delayed kay daghan baya pung mga expenses ang LGU. First ask the ones in charge of the Honorarium. If you find it nga dili justifiable ang explanation as to the delay then you can always go to the media for help. However, as the term goes nga "honorarium" (meaning it's just a token for your voluntary service) raman dili "salary" then you should not be griping. Maayo gani kay naa pay honorarium. I don't know, but for me, what makes Indian food different from ours is only the curry and the yogurt. I am somewhat a sort of a culinary practitioner (cooking is one of my most effective stress reliever, second only to playing soccer). As for the "spicyness" of these oriental food well, my barometer for spicyness is somewhat higher and Thai, Indian or Singaporean dishes are for me well...okey. Ive' tasted a true blue (I think) Bicol Express composed of 25% meat for flavor, 75% sili for the sting. Kon magtagbo ang sip-on og luha, manghapdos akong tinae og makaligo nakog singot sa kahalang, mao gyud nay "really hot and spicy".... ;D

Plus, the "protectionistic" mentality pud sa locals. Ang Tourism office pud unta nato dire motabang og promote aning mga lugara pero be it the city or provincial tourism offices I've noticed that both offices are "reactive", not "pro-active". If only they can adapt what Cebu is doing then we'll see better days for these establishments.
