True Sir Lorenz.  I highly agree.  Cebuano-Bisaya should be our National Language and Cebu should be the National Capital.

Running a country is too complicated than running a home. Though both require management skills, leadership and of course the knowledge. However, running a home successfully could be a positive approach to running a country and means more and bigger responsibilities.

I really cant say much on the great American presidents simply because they are totally diffrent from the way they handle their country to the way our presidents handle the Philippines. Have u considered the culture? Americans are way, way sophisticated compared to Filipinos.  Bill Clinton's scandal has nothing to do with his position simply because people there didn't make a big deal on it.  If it happens in the Filipino president, i don't think Filipinos will just remain calm and will not make a big deal out of it.

Cory Aquino at least made a difference for awhile.

My father ,  a USAFFE  died in 1995. He started receiving P500 pesos monthly pension until it was increased to P1500 when he died.

I agree with u Sir Fdaray, there is really no difference between the living and the dead of the WWII Veterans because they really fought for the same cause.  Ang that benefits are intended for all of them.  They should give that benefits equally unless the dead veterans have no surviving spouses or beneficiaries such as children, etc.

Mao lagi Nookie, we all want the truth the problem her is the truth relies merely on the suspect.  If the suspect really has nothing to do with the crime.  Why would she gave list to the policemen as possible "suspects?" for investigation.  By acting it, it just implied that she knows what really happened because if she doesn't know anything about it or if she isn't guilty, she could have said it straight not involving anybody else.  What do u think was she trying to figure out?  To mislead the minds of the investigators, what for? diba?  Dapat, she would explain all the accusations one by one like why are some of the things of the victim found in her vicinity? why did she called the bf of the victim, u know things like that...

My grandfather was also a member of the USAFFE and a Philippine Guirella and infact he was one of the Prisoners of War however, after the war, he went home straight to his province in Northern Cebu and wasn't able to wait for the enlistment that were being conducted.  When he claimed for the benefits he was denied.  All the evidences that could prove of his service were submitted but still he was denied.  He had fought for it until his death.  When he died, my grandma tookover the fight for my grandpa's right.  She went to American Embassy 3 times to appeal.  People there only gave false hopes.
