now that i have read this for the day, i can go out to the laundry shop and say hello to my street people friends along the way. time to give them these preserved dates (they like dates!) which we have unbelievably plenty of, much more than we could eat in three years' time, thanks to the start of ramadan and these gifts from some saudis in manila. alleluia.
