Dr. Maria Nerissa L. Virtusio-Clarete of Bool District, Tagbilaran City was successful in her oral defense of her dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Education Major in Educational Psychology on December 14, 2007 at the University of the Philippines, Diliman, Quezon City.
Maissa, as she is fondly called, is the wife of Rolland M. Clarete of Dauis, Bohol who is currently employed at the University of California-San Diego as Information Technology Specialist.
She is the daughter of Drs. Nestor and Simeona Virtusio and the older sister of Dr. Bryan Nelson and Engr. Jericho Nestor who is based in Staten Island, New York with wife Rosellemarie (Nee Rulona) and daughter Julianna Marie.
