Philippine Business News / Re: Receipts for Donations
October 30, 2010, 11:12:15 PM
The news I have to report is good.

I made an announcement that anchorman Gerry Pabe was on his way into the meeting. He went to the meeting and cleared up any miss-communications amongst the board members on how the donations are being kept track of at DYRD and Chronicle outlet.

Everyone who was having bad feelings amongst ourselves as a group were out in the open many apologies and even a hug were given to the secretary from both Pabe and me....

I was asked to give the closing prayer and closed it with words coming from my heart and the real spirit of God and his son Christ and with that the meeting ended on a very high and positive note.....

Merry Christmas everyone! :)

THE END!

Does anyone want to say this is still an over-all safe place to be?

For me so far I have been a victim of having my purse slashed at Christmas time in the mall here. I have been a victim of persons who have asked a lot of funds from me never returned not even a friendship in return continued...

Those persons who got the money are nothing but slippery slimy con-artist who just go around denying their dirty deeds. There are other forms of being robbed here and that is the betrayal of those whom you are to trust do not care...

I was even sold a recording device hand held size for over 2 thousand pesos it never worked since the day I bought it...

Same person who sold me that piece of none working media crap tool stiffed me or should I say conned me out of thousands.

Hold ups are just another way way in how money and properties are taken here in Bohol.

Con artist style is just a way in where it does not look so offensive as a hold up!

Its not the first time people here are getting more clever to get things from others it is just being more recognized as people are a bit more bolder in the style of how they do things now.

Where are the comments from people who live here in Tagbilaran City or in Bohol on this post? I am sure your all chomping on the bit having mouthfuls of what to say but maybe you are afraid knowing the consequences are there if you do.

Then there are those of you in the media who are using money to be kept shut-up about the real happenings here. They always say "Money Works!".

Some guys have the audacity to ask me how they are doing as a fair and equal media man?

I say what have you done to help out our colleague Jerry Pabe? What has the powerful Catholic Church done to help out a good brother?

Then come ask me what type of a media mover and equal media man radio man that you think you are.

I am sick and tired of listening to the same old fighting everyday over the radio the election is done move on... Would you please!!!

I know and I see the things happening here and I think it stinks!

I have more I want to say.... I had plenty I wanted to say during the election but I kept it silent thinking that people here would have wizened up about their voting choices. .....

#5
Today a hold up happened with an ICM Mall employee and another hold up was at BQ Mall!!!! Grabe!
#6
I know other media are reading this.....

And they are silent.

The one foreigner who has been physically assaulted by one of the media popularity here said that others who know about what are happening asked why is it that he does not file a case against this media man?

He seems interested to do it but maybe at the same time he is thinking this man will someday reconcile with him?

If anyone wants to take a guess on who these media are doing these things to people feel free to write about it.

Why be inhibited about it?

Honesty is important on what you may know.

Thanks!

The young lady who I had posted about at the start of this topic has not returned to the program as of yet to try to ask for more help.

I have been in a great mood ever since she had expressed so must excitement even after the TBN show the night she had received generous calls who donated to her cause.

I hope I can see more nights like that on TBN.

Last night Jerry Pabe was sporting his new black colored shirt beautifully printed with TBN Ireland on it.

It is my understanding the person spearheading the group in Ireland is either a nurse who is a neice or a daughter of Jerry Pabe the anchorman of the show TBN. We had worn it the first time very proud while over-air.

And by the way Pabe looked super great in his new printed shirt from Ireland!!! Jerry could not stop smiling that night he was even making jokes that night with visitor's asking help.

Sad truth is everyday Bohol has some sort of a motor fatality daily. How many more accidents and deaths need to be made here for them to finally get things implemented and handle in the right way so less traffic fatalities happen here? As soon as I can get any further feeds on this matter I will let you know. Ingat!!!

Way before the campaign was even started and that of even Cesar admitting his run for Governor, Cesar was there for the group of Expats. He did not even hesitate to be a special guest and share stories about his love for Bohol and he also gave his insight for foreigners also in love for Bohol.

He did not need a formal letter of proposal to be considered he was more than willing to meet foreigners living here also helping other Bohol people out.

He was tickled pink in his warm reception from the local foreigners from almost one year ago.

I watched him in a press conference today he was coming from his heart, and his good head, and you could see the sincerity from his eyes.

All three candidates are my friend may the best one win and not because you sold yourselves cheap to vote buying. Be wise do not act in illegal and corrupt ways in voting do not complain of corruption when vote buying is also an act of being corrupt....Do you like to be thought of as corrupt?
#11
I seen him recently and he is not exactly my size for me to beat him..... he is tall and lanky looking with tattoos on his arm, and has a none smooth skinned face complexion, and his hair is long light brown to blond  and has a colored ponytail to tie his hair back with.
#12
Sorry about the hurried up writing on this topic, but it has been a long day filled with many press conferences.

Mike buddy if you have time could you please edit this topic. I am also not given the option for modifying the topic.

Again everyone happy and safe election.

Good luck to all promising and true hearted candidates.

According by the words of a female block-timer on board at a local radio station in Tagbilaran City reported that during her afternoon show she had many callers showing support for candidate for Governor Cesar Montano.

The report came in during Montano's last minute press conference held with 7 local media men at venue Food Options.

Montano was happy in the good news received from the lady block-timer. During his press conference he was interviewed live over a local radio station and told the listeners that he will not be a vote buyer. He will not be a part of dishonesty from the Boholano people in this widely known habit during election time and feels sad he said when he knows that Boholanos would be known to do such a thing.

Montano said he has really been super pleased with his rally turn outs across the province in support of him.

He also mentioned that he is fighting very hard against this unlawful action of vote buying.

He loves Bohol and said he wants to help Bohol.

He also said he has a beautiful life in back in Manila with his show life and singing bee program but he is in Bohol to offer his chance to the citizens of Bohol to win as the next Governor of BOHOL in order to help Bohol persons here.

Cesar has been through a lot and since the beginning of this campaign from his sons recent death until now Cesar keeps fighting for you the good people of Bohol.

When asked about vote buying Cesar said " Yes it is true I will not be buying votes." "Boholanos deserve a a new leader and a better leader to make things change." "If Bohol is not ready for change than God help it."

Montano stressed that Boholanos are being a part of what is considerd as being a corrupt province when it comes to vote buying and that he does not like the sound of it and said to the media that he was sure that they did not also like the sound of it.

Montano when asked about the Grand alliance he said he did not invite anyone to it.

Another question facing Montano was in regards to having the May 10, elections postponed, Montano said he was not in support of having it postponed and that he feels very opposed of it saying the election day this May 10, 2010 day has been already long awaited for......

Montano said Bohol people are not in anyway stupid he prided Bohol very much in saying people in the province are very kind and are very smart.

Bohol people know what is right and what is good thing to do when they will be voting this coming Monday.

May I wish everyone a happy and safe election.

Illegal actions by a German national and Lila Barangay Captain-Considered as Bohol’s first COMELEC/PNP Accomplishment.

During last Friday mornings a press conference with newly transferred PSSUPT Rodolfo Llorca Together with Atty. Eliseo RZB Labaria, and BGEN Allan R. Luga from the Philippine Armed Forces. PSSUPT. Llorca had reported to the media and other legal sectors of the National PNP in an updated power point presentation on the latest actions accomplished by the local and the provincial PNP as of press time. Part of the presentation involved a Barangay Captain and a foreign national in were they were involved in actions against laws of the local and national COMELEC.
The details below of the unlawful incident that had taken place according to police reports given by the Bohol PNP to the local media. Where on May 5th, 2010 around 1100 hrs at Barangay Nagsulay, Lila Bohol, PIB operatives and Lila PNP were able to arrest one (1) Henry Raul  Y Hambora, 48 years old, married, a barangay captain and resident of the same place for violation of R.A. 8294 and violation of R.A. 7166 (COMELEC Gun ban), resisting arrest and direct assault who was caught in flagrante delicto of selling firearms to a certain Siegfred Marenke of legal age, German national and temporarily residing in at Barangay Nagsulay of same municipality.

I did not see any foreigners here from the AP interviewing him in person here, neither did any AP come to get his side of the story in person. Did I say he is denying what happened? No I did not.

Yes i have repeated what he said to me alone. but you people do not understand what I am saying so it is at this point at the end of my long sleepy day of doing a medical mission to say that I am tired to keep posting now.

I just want to justify how he had entertained me on the issue. I know now he is a a good person and nice to me.

No one is perfect we live from our mistakes. while we allow our past to haunt us also at the same time.

The story in Post is identical to the AP version at the beginning of this topic?

Because the one I read is written the same way as the the post version without byline.
I will ask him  next time I will see him if he refused comment with any media regarding this matter as he knows my association as a PRO for many organizations here. I will try my best to update this matter.
Ingat
and Good night all!!!

Does anyone have any news on how this new provincial police superintendent will be at his post?

Or know about his work ethics to keep the peace in Bohol?

Thank You!
#17
I will divulge it if I want to as I am amazed that people in here do not truthfully know how media really works here.

I know the old cheaters rule of lets do the story and even if we do not have his side we will say he was not available for comment.

I actually spoke to him in person and asked him about what was all the stuff going on in the internet about him?

I did not have the faintest of ideal that a couple of days later that the Bohol newspapers would come out with the story on Father Joseph Skeleton.

I was not happy that I had read that he refused to have an interview or make a comment how contradicting of them to print no comments when on the other hand he spoke to me in front of my face with me in flesh and bones.

I am a witness that he is not having this no comment status about him. I wish I could see him again in person and have him sign a piece of paper to confirm what he is saying to me is true?

I am saying what I read in Sundays press releases is hard to believe and suspicious on the media level knowing what are the tricks and trades of how media works.

Why is it when you hear gossip or unbelievable things being said about a friend or someone that you may know and then those things you are hearing about them shock you to begin with. Why do you hear the advice from others to ask direct what is the real story?

I did ask him in person and you would rather believe the Filipino Newspaper saying he was not available for comment when in fact he did talk to me in person, while passers by greeted him with kindness and respect.

He seems to be holding up very well on his own.

If I run into him I hope my atty is at my side to catch all that he sais.

I was able to confirm the incident of rumors running around that the mother of the deceased stabbing victim had passed away.

Attorney Jun Amora who is an attorney representing the case said that the mother of the victim is still alive.

#19
There are three topics regarding information said about this alleged suspect.

One being posted first by Jellybean, then the other being posted by delikado and now another one being published by Mike our administrator.

How many threads does this guy need? Is he worth all this attention?

#20
Hello me again.

I have an update after being absent from the PC for a couple of days.

You know me sleuth for the truth. I spoke with an interesting person today and she is a wife of a incarcerated individual who is an alleged of dealing Shabu. There is some sort of connection to the alleged drug dealer and the one of the mothers in the incident.
From a first marriage.

The drug pusher knows the alleged murder suspect who is sitting down below in the Tagbilaran City Jail together.

I was told by this person that the mother of the victim was found by the Dr. who was working on her that she had cancer.

I also heard that she has passed away this morning? This has not been confirmed by any media yet as I was told by the wife of the drug pusher who is in jail together with the alleged homicide suspect. She was not aware who I was as we spoke.

She also told me that the homicide suspect was at the hospital yesterday (Tuesday) getting his hands worked on she said that his bones where exposed and become infected while he was in the jail.

I was also told by this wife (who is five months pregnant) with a an alleged drug pusher husband who is in jail that the mother was preparing to go to the USA before this incident had happened.

I asked people at DYRD/Chronicle if they had heard anything regarding the death of the victims mother and was told that for safety reasons they only go off the blotter at the police station.

I was told that the Legal council handling the case is Atty. Amora.
Atty. Amora was not around to be asked about the case last night.%

I was able to find an example of a story written in a USA newspaper.

I think the point JB is trying to make is there should be some sort of unbiased code of ethic when writing about people. The nationality neither the country of origin should be a factor as people are people regardless of skin, and what flag your born under.

Look at how this news article was written it avoids physical description and the mans identity of country originated from.

The title is  "Man with restraining order linked to Missing Moms past." TDN-Newspaper")

Authorities say a shoe that washed up on a Puget Sound beach over the weekend probably belonged to the woman who appears to have abandoned a van on the beach and disappeared with her 8-year-old son.

Detective Lt. Chris Mealy of the Thurston County Sheriff's office said other items, including a wine bottle, that washed up on the beach near Olympia also appear to be linked with 29-year-old Shantina "Kat" Smiley of Silverdale and her son Azriel Carver.

Mealy said the positive identification of the items does not change the direction of the investigation. Thurston County has a boat in the water scouring the shoreline for clues. Investigators also are examining Smiley's bank records and court and public records and talking to people.

The court records include a 2005 case in which Cowlitz County sheriff's deputies arrested a man on suspicion of assaulting Azriel when Smiley lived with her mother and stepfather in Castle Rock.

According to court documents, the man â€" now 31, who also lived in Castle Rock at the time â€" was left alone with Azriel on June 27, 2005. While under the man's care, Azriel suffered a broken wrist and multiple bruises on his face and body. The man claimed Azriel fell down, but medical experts determined the injuries were not accidental, according to a sheriff's report.

"My son stayed in the hospital for 2 1/2 days," Smiley wrote on her request for a protection order. "I don't want him to be around my child period."

The order was granted for one year.

The man was charged with second-degree assault of a child. The case was dismissed without prejudice Oct. 17, 2006. ("Without prejudice" means the prosecutor reserves the option of reopening the case.)

The Thurston County Sheriff's Office hasn't returned Daily News calls about this case, but according to a report Thursday in the Kitsap Sun, detectives haven't yet interviewed the man named in the protection order.

Mealy told the Sun the man is on the agency's "to do" list but there's nothing to indicate his involvement in her disappearance.

.....You see how the write-up looks non prejudiced and does not talk about race or description. It also makes for a less controversial and sensitive write up.

JB also may not want that Filipinos be smug when the see foreign nationals doing bad things in their country as other countries are or maybe protecting what bad things the Filipino and other national may be doing in each others countries by keeping others nationality separate from the crime being done as every one is created equal regardless of color, religion, authenticity.

Even a better title for "Sunday Post" should have been "Foreign countryman sent back home after being caught for double marriage practice with local woman."
"
The way it was written makes it appear or or to seem as if lash at Japanese.

Filipino do not like it when "Boholano men........" were titled in another thread as doing abusive things but is it not the same when Japanese is in the title as also doing bad?

Or maybe because a majority in hear are Filipino and would rather not see your own specific locality and authenticity being labeled as or generalized as doing wrong but it is okay to say it about anotherpersons place of origin?

Please just observe the other write up from an American newspaper. It is wrote in a non offensive manner for both the subject and the readers.

Thank You!

#22
This type of crime does not make news in States if an American is has been raped overseas. Why is it always such an issue here.

Rape and death is a more occurring thing in your own country and especially with children being raped and killed in Philippines.

Just to update you further another rape and killing of a bata is being investigated that has happened again recently in Bohol for the year of 2010.

Please people be vigilant at all times if things happening in your neighborhood do not seem right.

Please if you have a question or concern do some investigating yourself if things look suspicious to you.

If you care you will use your voice to speak out against people doing such heinous crimes  and help instead of keeping silent.

#23
I feel that there are better reasons to be sued for and making a song different is not one of them.

I have noticed all types of songs originating from American artist being made different from it's original context and sound when a Philippine artist records it often at times. Here it is habit I have noticed and when I hear it over the radio I am so disappointed.

It would be much better if your going to record or present a song for public that belongs to another artist would be to keep it in its original style and especially any national anthem from any country there have been events when I have also thought the American national anthem had been sung horribly several times but not so bad as to want to sue the person who had done it.

I think a law suet is a bit much maybe a reduction in pay for not keeping it original would be sufficient enough.

#24
I have heard this morning from Governor Aumentado that Chatto is trying to fire at Aumentado. He was even attacked during his Governors Report that he has every Friday.

Governor handled it cool and humorous way politics is politics here are usual.

She must have been ovulating if sticky?

Before ovulation it is a clear like mucus.

Near to finished ovulation would be that the vaginal mucus is cloudy to white as if the same texture as wallpaper paste.

So manga grabe ug explenation mao ba!

In states I am sure this details would unethically not be able to be printed.

Dir. Inking has moved onto Manila nah...promotion.

The new provincail PNP director I heard is very buotan jyud taga Tubigan.

Gloria was the singer penguin in "Happy Feet" many young teenagers say today that she had a very nice high voice.

Condolences to her family friends and fans.

Thank's very much Hofelina!!!

Merry Christmas friend!

I celebrated in silence no fanfare did not ask for it. Most the award recipients were DYRD/Chronicle they were unable to make it to the party during the night of the awarding. This was held on a Saturday night when most print media persons are busy with writing the news for the next days newspaper release to happen on Sunday.

Many adds and writings to do for the Christmas issues this is why some media could not make it. Jerry Pabe radio announcer from the very popular nightly radio show "tagbilaran By Night" accepted the awards on behalf of the winners who were not there.

Again Thank You!

This is truly a sad story. Many teenagers need to listen to the advice of their parents itis not because we do not want to take certain things away from your life but it is because we tell you certain things that because we want our young ones to be safe always safety first.

Some times peer pressure can be tough but maybe some examples of what happened such as this will set some fear or some sort of understanding on why it should be that we take parental advices.

If this young youth leader had done this to respect his parents to begin with then none of this will have been his end result in his young life.

I am surprised that this writer of this news article did not present a fair side from Father Skeleton?

Father Skeleton anytime when I have had an opportunity to run into him has always been a very polite and well mannered priest that shows his kind personality very well.

I was actually shocked when I had heard about this through a friend who comes from one of the same media club's as I do.

He asked me my opinion and i said that I was not aware of Skeleton having any dark pasts, and then this friend of mine said in a very polite way "We have not called the USA to really confirm this action or not"  I honestly did not have any ideal what he was talking about as I have not been keeping up on the news due to moving this past months.

I see Fr. Joseph Skeleton as a really well loved and welcomed priest here. When we have conversations he sounds very educated and conservative he also comes across as very conservative and never has a bad word to say about anyone.

He has a weekly radio program over KISS FM every Sunday and is always encouraging people to do well by God and Christ and keeps reminding his listeners to always have love in their hearts.

I am a lady and when we do talk to one another he is always making sure he is at a distance from me but he listens and replies back very educated sounding.

I honestly appreciate what he has done for people here.

I do not even think that this has been confirmed yet? We are not to judge we should be about encouraging ourselves and others to do they're best in life.

I wish Fr. Skeleton to come out of this clean forgiven and unhurt both physically and mentally.

Molester, or a Pedophile does not fit the type of person that he is being talked about.

Thank You for your time.

:'( I am so sick and totally disturbed about what has happened to my old yahoo account and I am slowly trying to rebuild the friends that I had put on the list before as I miss chatting with my old friends due to my old account precious_asastone@yahoo.com being "HACKED".

It makes it so hard due to the fact that I am in the media where I live and this is the only ID that people are aware to send me news items too.

I have already a new ID that you can send Emails for too.

I am aware the person's using my old ID and account are hacking other persons accounts and sending out Emails such as the one I had read in others account's from my old Email and yahoo account.

It said I was in Africa and had lost my wallet and to send me almost $3.000.00 dollars through Western Union. Please do not respond to that Email and please do not send any Email to the old account for my safety and your safety since it was hacked.

Please be informed of my new yahoo account....... <precious_asastone66@yahoo.com>

I am sorry about any inconveniences this has made.

Sincerely.

Also no one was running for Mayor in his town so this would make Salinas an automatic in since he is the incumbent mayor at present in catigbian.
#33
In an interview with local media members at the residence of Catigbian's Mayor Captain Bert Salinas during his dispiritas celebration told media that he has with-drawn from running for 1st district Congressman due to Governor Aumentado being kicked out of Lakas.

Aumentado was kicked out of his political Lakas when he was said to have been disloyal.

Read Mike's posting earlier regarding Governor's action of being kicked out from his party under "Talk of Town"

I do believe that as women we do tend to get wet and sticky without men during a time of the month when we are ovulating so maybe his wife was ovulating at the time?

If husbands would stay home more and not always go out to drink how they do here with barkada's and family and ignore the vagina of their wives then maybe a the wife would not have to succumb to a Cucumber, carrot, banana, vibrator or a male partner (Proxy) other then her own husband.

Husbands here set themselves up to be slept around on. some husbands here play the meanest things on they're own wives.
A woman in my opinion deserves to be treated better then second class as how she is treated here.

So many men are standbys and just inum away all day.

I could go on but i will spare everyone.

Bottom line here is men need to give women a higher level to stand on and not the one they have now.

Many women are with the family doing the daily routine and chores to keep the family going. I have seen so much during crisis.

It is just not the signal lights it is how the people drive here so unwise inconsiderate and without discipline.

Were these three students on one motor? In the states it is two person maximum here it is any amount you can fit on the seat maximum!

In single lane construction sights people are not staying to the right when sharing a single lane road look at Dauis bridge right now?

People here drive down the middle of the road.

People here overtake on the wrong side of other vehicles. Yea it is sad they are perished now but let this example be a lesson and a warning for so many drivers here who are so inconsiderate of other persons safety.

May the sweet kids RIP condolences to the family.

If anyone has bothered to go out to Panglao and talk to the residents especially the natives and the families who have been out there for many generations I can tell you all by speaking with them they are not happy in the least.

They are so concerned about the volume of air noise pollution this will have in Panglao.

Thank You hofelina, the fish are also known to have extra sensitive tentacles so they can sense things way ahead and start moving as fast as jelly on Hot buttered toast. By the way Hoff!

someone must have hacked my account. New precious_thoughts66@yahoo.com

These fish are so sensitive and this reminds me of a true story back in December of 1999 when many jellfish had swarm into the filters of the Pangasanan cooling filters and had pulled off the biggest Luzon brown-out that lasted province wide for almost three days.

The belief was for the 7.1 earthquake that had struck a few days later in the middle of the night while everyone was asleep. That morning when i awakened I called for plane reservations back home I was so scared that 2012 was here already. I went home three weeks earlier then i was scheduled to leave.

I do believe animals can sense danger before it happens as they are so senstive to sound and vibrations that humans cannot even detest.

Snakes are a scary event here indeed. a little over a year ago the neighbors had cut the tall grass behind the old place where i lived before which was a rural setting close to the city.

Anyways getting straight to the point. the snake entered the house through the welcome Matt at the front door crawled or slithered under the entertainment section then when i was typing media print news by the evening time the creepy bastard slithered up the wall from the cilar side and landed on top of my PC what an acrobat he was. of course i jumped on my bed freaked out shrieking and we placed garlic all around the house and for one week i slep with a large metal auluminam umbrella pole but the snake dude was never seen again.

Now advice to all you peoples living here in Philippines who have piles of dirty laudrey in your room these snakes love to take shelter in piles of dirty clothes.

I bet you all will keep cleaner bedrooms now!!

he he he he!

I am just about to go to bed here for the night ...goodness how anm I going to get some sleep after knowing this....

My own personal opinion nursing should be between mother and child and i get personally embarrassed with woman who just throw out a big enlarged black nipple dripping of milk in the public knowing that there are some pretty damned perverted persons who are looking only to get their own rocks knocked off as they are with out maybe.

The girlfriend of my oldest stepson invited her 18 year old brother from Leyte to live and work here in Bohol of course with out our permission as the parents and low and behold everyday he goes to the cousins house to look through the window to watch the totoy being exposed for the bb to nurse on.

I warned her already and this guy just lurks around her house like a real creep!

Especially when her husband is not around on certain days.

in today's times i do not think breast feeding should be done flauntlly in public places take the child to a CR and go behind a stall door and do that in private to avoid peepingperverts and for bb and mom's safety.

Ummmmm?

Where is the  DNA testing if Inking believes that his wife was having an affair?

Did they suspend Provincial director Edgardo Inking after this incident accident or not?

For a man who should be setting the example of a good citizen here in Bohol it is sad to say for sometime I have been getting tired of hearing the same damned whine and grind of this police officail that governor just loves to cuddle and keep here amongst the "Chocolate Hill's".

Some police have told me when this man gets PNP bonus to share with everyone during specail events the lower ranking police say they have been left out many times and basically left for gutam.

often he will not allow the CIDG to help and assist with crimes and deaths against foreigners.

He once text me a very hateful message on mothers day after ringing my phone eight g*** darned times basically saying I was a "Bitch" in between the lines over an interview in were he was protecting a paid witness who was lying in a certain case and had grabbed my cell fone around my neck angrily and deleted my interview with him instead of cooperating with media as police should be doing.

I had my 17 year old daughter with me at the time so she could meet the provincial police director and watch mommy at work and he got so mad in front of her (Read-VOWC) with me and when we left the building my daughter said "Mom your being so nice with him he is so mean to you?" "I never want to go back there again mom....maybe he will kill you....be careful mom." My daughter was shaking terribly as well as me.

We have had around 5-6 foreigners murdered in Bohol during his time in office and all with no development or leads and here any such case is the rule to be solved with-in a 24 hour period.

One time this PNP Director he had come up to me laughing in my face because of a phone call i had made to the City Mayor in regards to a foreigner friend being killed by a city water truck and were he had done nothing about it for the fiancee or the victims baby...
so i went off on him asking him just what the hell was he thinking when he did not care what happened to the survivors of the victim. this pnp director hazed me for what I had done in making the mayor mad.

This morning he gave a live interview over the radio of DYTR and said he was not happy about the news going outside of the province regarding his special treatment with the suspect of Dumaluan. It was also printed in today's Wednesday edition of BHC the same in Inquirer.

Now is providing an attorney and other comforts really the right thing to do for a suspect in a shooting case how this director has done in this certain case. When at the same time Dumaluan has been offered nothing as the victim.

It is allegedly believed that shortly after the Inquirer in Manila was released telling about the unfair treatment of this pnp director he or his freinds allegedly is beleived to have been the one who texted to three media persons with the same number saying that he was a certain person and asking to spend the night when it turns out it was not the friend of the one who received the text in where it could have been a ploy to see where this particular media was at the time if not in the house staying over night with his female colleague. The provincial director had seen the two media colleagues together in one vehicle this same weekend going inside of the camp to do official business with an appointment.

Two other media personalities involved with exposing this directors  very bad police capabilities had received threatening text messages at the same time and by the same number as sent to their female colleague on Monday night in where the alleged PNP director or his associate in where they were posing as the colleague and best friend to the female colleauge posing as one of the media who was earlier threatened in Visaya "I advise you not to meddle in my affair with Dumaluan and the Lim Law office and that if you continue to meddle anymore with the case I will make sure your penis of will be cut off."

It was found out by certain persons today that this director is going to end his contract by this Friday and may not be given his extention after-all as always granted by the Governor in the past.

Bohol needs a more responsible PNP Director one who can restore Bohol hopefully back to the way it once was before.

Amen to that!

Hofelina your comment regarding men if they are "Penis Driven!" has me cracking up bad over here! Most defiantly they are sort of like when people want money they are nice but once they get it your forgotten for lending it.

Now some how it is tied in with once a man is nice before he gets it he rolls over goes to sleep as if he has delivered a cow and starts to snore!

And the woman is not touched or given attention to after the loving has been finished.

Me if i got it going on with a man worths his beans I want it all night loooong....=D

“Prosti-tuition”                      Precious Thoughts                10/11/09

The Bohol Standard

1) noun - Money earned stripping, hooking, or otherwise through the sex trade which is used to pay for college expenses.

2) verb - The act of earning money through the sex trade in order to pay for college.

Many college girls resort to prosti-tuition due to the high cost of education and the economic crisis that continues to plague the country.

I became aware that prostitution among female college students is happening right here in Tagbilaran City . It was not long ago that girls in skimpy outfits hanging out along the dark corners near a private university caught my attention. At first I never thought these girls, whom I later knew to be enrolled in college, were engaged in prostitution.

Then I started to notice their number increase during enrolment and exam periods, the time when students have to pay their dues in school.

Together with a friend who also works in the media, we did some follow up on this issue and conducted personal interviews to dig deeper into what led them to engage in prostitution.

“I know I have an edge if I have a diploma because I will have a better opportunity of getting a decent job,” says one girl who says she used to take up Nursing but shifted to Education due to the enormous fees.

According to the girls we interviewed, they are forced to opt becoming a prostitute out of extreme poverty and just to finish their studies.

Some of the girls do it only during exam season or during enrolment which makes you think that their intention is to really pay for their school fees.

Some prostituted students are hired through a pimp who is contacted by clients. The pimp in return gets a cut of the agreed price which could range from P1,500 to as much as P3,000 on a one engagement basis.

Due to modern communication, most of the time a client would just send a message to the student prostitute

But I was also distressed to learn that not all of these girls resorted to prostitution out of poverty. Not all of them have the same reasons. There are some of them who either misused the money given by their parents for school fees and their daily school budget.

Yet, there are girls who are also driven to prostitution because they needed cash for their luxurious lifestyles or just to keep up with the modern-day social vices or to be able to buy branded clothes, gadgets such as i-pods, laptops and cellular phones.

Here, I would say that family values and the educational system in this country is an inter-related issue. But that would deserve another space for another column. (To be continued.)

Tagbilaran Lion Clubs to get together for planning of first ever Christmas Parade to be held on Bohol Island.

Last night during the monthly meeting held with new Tagbilaran City Host Lion's President George Lim, a new  ideals was proposed and put on the agenda for the Lions new year was to establish a committee to plan the first ever Lion's Christmas Parade to be held on the Province of Bohol Island.

Thiswriter had suggested doing something new a different to be able to boost up the community morals and spirits for having a Christmas Parade that would include a Santa Clause at the end of the parade.

We are also anticipating the togetherness of the four clubs in Bohol that make up the lion's International clubs.

I will be posting further details as we progress in our plans for such a grand event.

Anyone wanting to donate for prizes or materials should go ahead and contact me or another Lion here in Bohol on how you could help defray the cost and expenses of this event.

When I had proposed the ideal at yesterday's meeting it defiantly had received a very joyous and happy response.

Any of the Luon members reading this from the other clubs plse let's get together and make this event be a great time to be had by all.

Thank You!

Rooooooaaaaar!!! ;D

Merry Christmas!

According to provincial chief inspector of the province of Bohol and the national CIDG there has been no new development in the Maxwell case.

Normally it is like this as no one here really cares what happens to an outsider. The sad truth is that any crimes that are committed against foreign nationals including murder are to be solved with in 24 hours due to it being a PNP NATIONAL ORDER.

Sorry about this news to the family of Mr. Maxwell.

#47
well by national Philippine law this must be solved in 24 hours any case involving a foreigner killing is to be solved in 24 hours.

I have also heard that a wife of a Japanese here with blond hair is dating a policeman here in Bohol at Corolandia restaurant. Did the wife have bleached whit or blondish hair?

;D The broadcast journalist and local media from Bohol are planning to run an all day radio telethon in helping out victims in the deadly aftermath of Typhoon "Ondoy"!

Some 75 persons have lost their lives to this category 1 storm that ripped itself into the Philippines at forceful winds as high as upto 85 miles per hour and having rain amounts big enough to cover parts of Luzon and mostly in the Manila laying areas of the province up to neck deep in water in most places in where the flooding had occurred.

Many have lost homes, food, personal belongings, and other effects dear to them.

Many businesses homes, schools and state and national buildings ruined and unable to open for business this week.

NBI, US Embassy Manila, and many other offices will be out of commission due to the deep waters lapping up against the doors of these establishments.

People in Luzon affected by "Ondoy" are in need of any financial help and donations untill they can get back on their feet again.

Please Tubag readers listen later today and please donate what you can when you hear the local media coming together on www.dyrd.com with an all day Telethon to raise money for the victims of this storm leaving many Looy.

Listen for further details of the event in order to donate.

Thank You!

For the local support in advance!

I know of recently a Boholano man who beat his wife and demanded sex all the time with out wanting to use a family planning who ended up having too many kids for their own budget had beaten his wife if she did not put out.

Well worse has turned for worse her husband found text messeges on her cell phone allegedly by another man and kicked her and her two baby daughters out of the house and he kept the son.

This man is also a drunkard alcoholic. I guess it can give the spouse here trhe right to kick you out of the house despite all the crud he makes his wife put up with!

The young American man Zachery Razcock who was killed by the Tagbilaran City water Company dump truck has been decided in court this past week.

The court has ruled a decision  in favor of the American victim and his family.

If you can remember this was a long time topic in TubagBohol a couple of years ago.

I have waited late to write this in here because the news will be reaching the public tomorrow hot off the press in local Bohol newspapers.

My friend who was the fiance and mother of the daughter of Zachery called me tonight and while talking to her she sounded very happy that her baby will now be getting the proper help she deserves after finding the driver "Blanco" guilty of the death of Zachery a couple years ago on December 21st.

I figured i would take the liberty to post this since I was the one who was the victims acquaintance and have been with the case since the beginning.

I will post later or Mike will post later the news item that will be coming out in Sundays newspaper's.

I would like to say on behalf to all the media and legal support who has helped honestly and the local support thank you very much for your honest support on behalf of Zachery's family, and friends.

:)

I would like to see people voting instead of just reading what is written. In a democratic soceity you do have a right to express yourself.

And by the way if you do vote your name is not seen here. it is just the amount of voters and what they voted for on the average.

So please feel free to make a vote on what best comes closest to how you feel when it comes to this matter.

No the husband is past tense of dead meaning he is deceased. (pause).

he he he maybe i should i have put a comma and stop always relying on just the Bohol chronicle when other newspapers are just as good and some are even non biased compared to the next.

Other Bohol newspapers are on line as well.

Many things are not printed in one particular outlet because of its religious affiliation.

Sorry about the mix up!

Well if this news is true then this woman needs to be sitting in a fine and ugly jail cell that they have waiting here for her.

No exceptions!

#62
According to a city official who is a very reliable source she was telling me that the paid gunman admitted that it was the deceased wife who had hired him to kill her husband.

I will try to do a follow up this bit of information but I have informed a media colleague of mine to cover it for me.

Well that mystery is solved and there are many cases that remain in Bohol to get resolved one and for all.

;D I forgot to mention a big thank you goes to Duero Mayor and to the Barangay Itum  Captain for making our mission one of the nicest we have ever had. :)
#65
Actually Brownman and Lorenzo we had a nice time and many patients  in the the Barangay of Itum showed up for vitamins and check up's we focus more on the elderly but many kids were seeking vitamins there.

I finally had to start prioritizing my medical cards as the heat was beating down and i wanted to get the seniors waited on as soon as possible.

After about 75 children had been seen I thought oh my goodness where are my darling little cute seniors at?

I found plenty of them and moved them through the line fast I also found an ancient lady selling poto and to be nice i bought it and left it behind to feed the street kids with.

The cute old lady told me her basket was as old as she was and told me she loved me and even offered her old basket to go with her Poto

Lorenzo I am so sorry we did not remember to bring our camera's with us that day.

Mike has showed me several times how to paste up pictures but I am gahay ulo jyud man!

Well as i said earlier if you allow one you should allow everyone else the same privileges.

I really do not think Inking has any rights to say s*** when he can not even prove himself as a provincial director who is setting notsetting a good example in how the police work should be handled there.

There are many scruples in the kind of stuff that are going on over there in Bohol. Tsk! Tsk!

I have heard many bad things in how the police director is not reporting what things on going on over there.

Look at Swertez for example in Brgy. Mansasa.

I say this because i know him personally as he got mad at me one one incident in where he was harboring a lying and paid witness in an earlier case that allegedly had Dr. Dumaluan in it.

Inking got mad at me and the next day was a mothers day and he text me words and names that my mother told me never to say...

Sometimes I think Inking makes up his own laws and does not go with what is in the black and white of how the law is written.

No he never apologized as of three years ago. I do not think he is man enough as much time has lapsed away already.

He knows I am a "Big Brain Articulate!" =D

Excuse me if i have stepped on anyone's feet but i say and spray it how it is being done and by what i see! >:(

Talk of the Town / Crime Scenes

Bohol is a small province in where everybody knows everyone else there either you are related, a lover or having a relative there.

Often members of the PNP and the Intelligence teams are having a conflict of interest in where many reports from the police are not reaching to the Regional District 7 Office in Cebu from the Province of Bohol.

Some authority working in the office in Cebu feel that maybe the law is hiding crimes that they want to keep others from knowing about that either has their involvement in the crime, a loved one a friend or a relative.

In a recent discussion with some top law enforcement officers from regional 7 headquarters they feel that it would be better to keep local law enforcement. investigators and intelligence from working in their own local jurisdiction to avoid conflict of interest for the reasons mentioned above.

How do you feel about the fairness of crimes being investigated when the police are involved in aiding in crime or someone they know is involved and they hide the evidences to avoid being caught with the higher authority?

Here is a poll to get your opinion?

Thank You for taking the time to do the survey! 8)

None that I know of, in Philippines if something happens to a foreigner it is forgotten as we are outsiders not from with-in over there.

How is everyone back home on the homestead back in England? How is your mom doing?

It is nice to hear from you.

If ever something comes about your father in the media someone in Bohol would be obliged to print what you need to know in tubag.

How is the embassy getting along with the authority over there in Bohol?

Keko,

Do not be scared be cautious. Balut is good if not over 16 days and it is featherless! Make sure you have had about three straight shots of your favorite hard drink.

Crack it open salt it or marinate with vinegar and suck it in the mouth chew tw0-three times and swallow it!

There is also other things to eat in cebu at a place called A1 near to SM such as EEL soup and fish egg soup and boom up and away you go geranomo away!

But make sure you have a sweet long time hot chick with you para sa etchely pues away!

All I have to say Keko is thank your lucky stars your not with her if she was mean maybe her childhood was violent.

My advice after being in the media here and seeing so many cases of masterminded gold digger's wives who end up killing a spouse after they get what they wanted in the first place from you and regardless what race he may be do not go with her anymore for Pete sake save your sole!

Find a soft heart ed woman with a kind inner personality I do do not care how beautiful and skinny she may be or young for that matter. Take the early warning sign. Back out while the backing is still clear and there for that matter!

Hmmmmmm!

I find this to be a BS!

I remember a murder case not long ago when the wife of one victim was allowed to go to the detained area to talk to the suspect who allegedly killed her husband?

Why is it okay for some and not for others here?

Must mean the ones who have favor have a family relation or good connection with the local police.

All the same couldn't she retaliate (joke) as well?

Visitor's are not always checked when going to visit detainees walay klaro! and neither is the stuff that they are bringing into the jailed for the inmates. It would be so very easy to slip a gun or blade into the meals and belongings being brought to the detainees through loved ones or family.

I have been writing about how loose and ex-laxed they are in how a (slipper poop escapes a bum hole) about allowing not only anyone down in the jails and the prisons but anything to be sneaked into the jails.

Let's add some more chaos to the case how about the guards who kknow about everything they were transferred out of the province already so they would not be able to be found to discuss matters on this case.

Oh and may I propose that local police in the province no longer be allowed to investigate their own relatives and friends so that cases can be solved and dirty police can be controlled.
better people on the outside investigate whats happening versus those on the long term inside.

NBI should be the one to investigate all cases as they are not knowing so much the people in places where they are posted at.

Destroyed evidences and police involvement in crimes is easy if you have a relative or friend policeman who is willing to help just so long as he can gain from what he is doing.

I think I have said enough as usual.

Bohol Judiciary Takes Spotlight in City Square Trial

Precious Thoughts Column
(The Bohol Standard)

The high profile case filed to cancel the “questionable” contract for the rehabilitation of the former Agora Public Market into what is now a modern commercial complex called City Square could blow up to one of the hottest courtroom battles in recent history of Bohol.

Apart from putting at stake a multi-million deal between the city government and a private business consortium, the case pits Tagbilaran City Mayor Dan Lim against the “People of Tagbilaran” as complainants in the civil class suit lodged by top caliber lawyers Victor de la Serna, Alexander Lim and Zotico Ochavillo.

Regardless the outcome, the legal tussle could surely go down as one for the ages. How the designated judge would pen her ruling on the case, could become a landmark decision that will be used by law students and professors alike in their case studies.

As a backgrounder, since the case was filed sometime in November last year, five judges in the Regional Trial Court (RTC) have inhibited from hearing the complaint filed by the three lawyers which sought to nullify the City Square rehabilitate-operate-transfer (ROT) contract. Each of the five judges had their individual reasons for staying away from the controversy. These RTC judges were Fernando Fuentes III, Baudillo Dosdos, Suceso Arcamo, Achilles Melicor and Teofilo Baluma.

Quite understandably, no judge in his right mind would get himself embroiled in a fray which could get the ire of the sitting city mayor who is notoriously known for his fiery outbursts that excuses no one (not even his closest friends or relatives).

Well, as everyone may have already realized by now, only one of the five judges (Judge Baluma) have openly declared in public that he does not have close ties with the city’s chief executive and he is not receiving any allowances from City Hall, which his peers continue to enjoy as RTC judges assigned here in the city. This in fact caused more trouble for this daring judge as the city government exploited his spat with the city mayor as a reason for him to inhibit from the case.

Thus, it took 10 long months for the case to finally be assigned another judge to hear the class suit against the city mayor and the private developers of the City Square. This, despite the urgency in the complainant-lawyers’ plea that a TRO should be promptly issued “to stop the injustice and financial disadvantage of the ROT contract which the taxpayers and residents of Tagbilaran will have to bear,” thus said Atty. De la Serna.

But, starting last Friday, the enormous wheels of justice have finally been turned as the newly-designated judge â€" the Honorable Patsita Sarmiento-Gamutan of Branch 51 in Carmen â€" conducted the summary hearing for the TRO petition.

At the very least, it is a good start. Although the judiciary has taken a very slow action on the charges filed against the city mayor and the developers of the former public market, there is hope that Judge Gamutan will act for the speedy disposition of the case.

As De la Serna said, the case will be a showcase of judicial independence as the main respondent is a sitting mayor who can use his title, position, power, resources and prerogatives to influence the outcome of the proceedings in court.

Early into the summary hearing for the complainant’s petition for a temporary restraining order (TRO) to be issued against the City Square, a legal question is already posed by City Hall’s legal counsel, Atty. Doni Piquero, as to the propriety of allowing the lower courts to handle the case.

If Piquero’s argument is to be taken at face value, a government project such as the City Square could not be subjected to delays with the issuance of a TRO or an injunction by the courts, unless the court order emanates from the Supreme Court which is given the sole power to do so.

I had to do some research regarding this national law which the city government is using as its defense.

Regular courts had the predilection, pending the outcome of the main case, to issue temporary restraining orders (TROs) and preliminary injunctions (PIs) involving implementation of national government infrastructure projects and national programs.

The effect of the proliferation of TROs on national programs and projects is obviously detrimental. A stalled bidding or averted project derail the implementation of the project. Any delay caused by a 20-day TRO, and its extension by way of PI, without a doubt creates operational and market uncertainties, and disrupts the delivery of basic services.

While awaiting the lifting by the court of the PI or reversal by the higher court, fiscal projections could become stale. Foreign and domestic funding sources may dry up, prices of goods could increase, technologies may become irrelevant, national priorities could change, and winning bidders may lose interest. So as not to hamper the pursuit of national development projects, this indiscriminate practice must be discontinued or, at the very least, regulated.

Congress devised ways of correcting this wrong. Laws were enacted barring the imposition of TROs on certain activities. The Secretary of Labor and Employment cannot be prevented by lower courts from implementing enforcement orders protecting the health and safety of workers, and from assuming jurisdiction over labor disputes. Congress also ensured that no court shall have the authority to grant an injunction to restrain the collection of any national internal revenue tax imposed by the National Internal Revenue Code. Similarly, the Bases Conversion Development Authority cannot be stopped from converting military reservations, while the Power Sector Assets Liabilities Management cannot be enjoined from selling energy assets, save only a TRO issued by the Supreme Court.

Aside from specific restrictions, Congress also came up with a general ban on TROs and PIs. A judge who violates this ban may be held administratively liable. Republic Act 8975 imposed a broad limitation on the injunctive power of Court of Appeals, Regional Trial Courts and Municipal/ Metropolitan Trial Courts.

Under the law, no courtâ€"except the Supreme Courtâ€"shall issue any TRO, PI or preliminary mandatory injunction against the government, or any of its subdivisions, officials or any person or entityâ€"whether public or privateâ€"acting under the government’s direction, to restrain, prohibit or compel the acquisition, clearance and development of the right-of-way and/or site or location of any national government project; and bidding, awarding or commencement of a contract/ project of the national government on infrastructure, engineering works, service contracts, and build-operate-transfer projects.

This, however, does not mean that government agencies have unlimited authority to do what they please. The ban on issuance of provisional relief is not absolute. An aggrieved party may seek a TRO or PI from the Supreme Court. While lower courts are prohibited from issuing TROs and PIs, they are not restricted from hearing the main case seeking the issuance of a permanent injunction. If, after due hearing, the court finds that the award of the contract is null and void, the court may award the contract to the qualified and winning bidder, or order a rebidding of the same, without prejudice to any liability that the guilty party may incur under existing laws.

The “no TRO/ PI rule” on lower courts admits of one exception. Under the law, a lower court may issue a TRO when the matter is of extreme urgency and involves a constitutional issue, and, unless a TRO is issued, grave injustice and irreparable injury will arise. In such case, the party seeking the TRO must post a bond.

As a rule, government projects must be pursued unhampered by delays and court TROs. There can be no sea of change in society without public-private partnerships being realized within the soonest possible time. However, like any lasting and real transformation, the ban on TROs must not be used for shortcuts, detours and transactions that are unmindful of constitutional and legal requirements. Courts and government agencies alike must constantly balance the interests of all.  :o

If some of you knew Fil Layao how I knew the man he was a good family man nothing in his house could not be done with out him.

Some media did not even bother to show up at all because some of us find it hard that Fil was heavily intoxicated unless he was pressured to drink more by one of our agressive alcoholic pushers whose name I will with hold since he is working for a high profile respected congressman.

I have partied with this guy that is going around saying he was with Fil and that he was scared to go with Fil and this same guy got mad at me during a brotherhood drinking session in where he was irrate that I had cut him off after about 12 bottles of beer.

All the other media had gone home and he just kept on sucking it down must have been nice since I was left holding the bill!

Fil normally would have two straight shots at the most.

Fil was a media man who did not ask for trouble neither did he make trouble amongst his colleagues.

Today BTMA members laid to rest a dearly loved media man/ Family man who we already miss very much.

Part II- Make This a Better Place!           (Precious Thoughts)

As you may well know last week I started talking about the horrible conditions at the local city lock up jail. I have yet to post pictures of what it is that I am talking about. Last Monday Tagbilaran Councilor Edgar Bompat was asked by a colleague of mine about the funds for maintaining the temporary lock up jail in the city police station. My media partner told me when he talked with Bompat he appeared elusive on this matter and said he would try to get the report on what are the yearly funds allocated for the maintenance of the facility for its upkeep. My colleague also informed him of my column from last week when I hit it on the point regarding the poor conditions of this temporary lock-up and Bompat said he plans to take a look at the city lock-up himself.
Last Friday while talking with another Tagbilaran City Councilor in where I was informed that the mayor is holding the funds for the temporary lock-ups and when the councilors want to tour the jail and asked mayor for assistance in helping the jail be maintained he accuses them of encroaching. (Read-“Get real!”).
Now that I have posted this topic on the internet and fellow Boholanos abroad can read it and add comments freely to the thread on this matter I am willing to share this following thread to what I have begun from last weekend’s column. We will just go by this commenter’s first name as Ben.
“It's a tough job to police the police, and I really admire you, Thegirlnextdoor, for doing this right in our neighborhood. I am sure you have enough friends among the good cops there to make them understand that you mean to help them in their job of maintaining peace and order, while reminding them to uphold human dignity.

Bringing to the attention of the tax-paying public the miserable state of the city jail will push the concerned agencies to direct resources where they are badly needed. (With all the unliquidated city funds, I think tax-payers should be more vigilant about the spending habits of public officials.)

I understand that jails will always be the last priority of the government. Maybe our officials are thinking, "If we make our jails more comfortable, more will commit crimes to get free board and lodging." In societies with higher standard of justice, some of these officials in fact deserve to stay in jail.”
I had indeed read that last paragraph in between the lines perfectly from the writer above. And I am sure the rest of you can also. I am aware that Philippines does not want to tolerate any sort of violation of “Human Rights” but I am sorry to say in these awful conditions that the detainees here who are awaiting court are standing by in worse conditions than how some animals get treated or should I re-phrase what I am saying and say instead no animals get treated even this bad!
Conditions include inmates sitting and laying in excreted body waste that include bodily fluids, feces and urine. A falling down ceiling, inmates sitting in the black due to no light bulbs, no proper place to excrete oneself due to no toilet, jail cells so filled with filth and trash that bacteria and infection could spread due to many insects types breeding and living in theses filthy places, overcrowding, danger to other cellmates, starvation, thirst, and the illegal stay of detainees that exceeds more than 48 hours above is considered illegal in the nation of the Philippines. I have been interviewing one detainee being held since last March on an alleged drug related crime. (Forty-eight (48) hours does not even come close to almost a six months stay now does it?).
I am presently passing judgment after witnessing and having taken pictures and talking with inmates and their families and the local community about this matter in its present state of condition in that I deem the City Top Administrator irresponsible as well as inhumane for the poor mismanagement and improper up keeping of the City of Tagbilaran  temporary lock up jail. What a pitiful crime and shame without a doubt!  To be continued…

As printed in The Bohol Standard "Precious Thoughts" column.

Make The Tagbilaran City Jail a Better Place!    Part I.                                    (Precious Thoughts)
This has to do when a past subject of mine whom I had wrote about in a near miss of death and almost one year later she lands herself locked inside of the Tagbilaran City jail three months pregnant under conditions that cannot offer good enough standards for even a sewer rat to take refuge in. After I notified the city’s WCCD desk she was transferred immediately to Cabawan (BDRC).
Thursday August 13th I made my usual every two month-three month (quarterly) tour at the city police headquarters to check the blotter in case I see any of my expats running into problems. I had seen a small child dumped by his parents when he was a baby, who ended up raised by community fishermen for most of his young life. The small child was brought in for police safety after reports came in saying he had been slapped and smacked around by his fishermen guardians. One kind hearted policeman took the small child under his own wings for a night or two of safety.
Friday night I had plenty balloons remaining from my Cesar Montano dinner with my Bohol Expat organization members so I decided to take them to the city police station after watching the little kid come in from the night before. I thought how happy a little kid in trouble would be if he was given a big balloon from the men in blue so I left them there and gave instructions for the city’s PNP to give them to poor small children in trouble.
Sunday I went back to the station for follow up and then while at the complaint desk I looked at the detainees list of names and one that captured my attention right away. The policeman on duty was nice to take me down into the jail area so I could confirm if it was really a subject of mine in a near death news write up I had done about a year ago. To my shock it was her as she stood there grasping onto her jail cell bars white knuckled and surprised to see me while embarrassed at the same time.
What I had seen was awful not her but her jail accommodation was of the worst quality as she stood there piled high foot deep with garbage in a blackened out jail cell pressing her swollen three month pregnant belly up against and beyond her jail cell bars while reaching out her hand to greet me in a handshake. Located on both sides of her cell were two very overcrowded jail cells filled with male detainees and very well lit up. The jails were full of garbage strewn all about and the stench of urine steaming into ones nostrils and eyes all the while as it’s covering up one fourth of the jail’s floor. The one cell has no bowl for anyone excrete to excrete waste into maybe that explains why one fourth of the jails floor is stained in urine. One detainee made a make shift bed behind a very rusty make shift door that’s not supported by any hinges or nails, I am sure maybe 20 years back could have been used for a bathroom that once existed. I could rant on more about what I have seen but I am over my column space as it is.
I bought the lady a survival jail package toiletries, soaps and snacks. I had steady black eyes watching me give the lady her jail survival kit I know the family background and anyone with compassion would do what I had done for this lady sitting in a blackened out jail filled with garbage. One of the inmates from the neighboring cell was holding a small water bottle begging her for water hand outs. She had replied in her own language that she did not have any in order to spare herself of her own water rations. The real issue here is why is there no proper toilets in the jail why is their urine on the floor and why is a pregnant inmate being detained in a Jail cell blackened out due to not having any light bulb could it be a lack of concern money and top city management all rolled up into one. I know in the past I have donated materials to repair the city’s jail I am still looking for the new repair three years later. I will be posting this column along with pictures of what I am talking about in “Tubag Bohol” inside of the political section. Or maybe would be better for you yourselves to go to the local jail and see how your local sisters and brothers are doing in the dungeon down below that should be labeled and known as “Tagbilaran City’s Jailhouse Rot in Hell!”

Who is writing these news write ups?

Why is there no byline?

Shouldn't a reporter or news wriiter but his byline on the article that he is writing and stands behind?

Ha ha ha ha ha!

Ha ha ha ha! I know who it is who writes it.

Anyways maybe mayor thought this would go unnoticed and he could make it up with the rental spaces being charged at such monster rates to store tenants who are just sliding by on their butt holes! Pastilan!!!

Good point.

I would rather see money being given instead in lieu of flowers. Sure his many flowers are beautiful and thoughtful but I would honestly like to see the money during these times be given to the family instead of people advertising their names on sashes that cover the flowers.

That was very kind gesture for those farmers to help the family of Fil.

I know that the one organization that I am in on last Friday we gathered with about four of us and came up with an amount for the family to help them.

you know for example my state in America will mail out license renewal policies when they are about to expire.

being that we have a guy here who claims the title of KBP Rep he needs to take some action as well on this small group of broadcasters and help remind these members to re-new when the time comes.

Bohol has no chapter in the KBP we need to organize one here even I am a member.

Duero - Bohol / AHAPI FREE MEDICAL CLINIC Coming to Duero
September 01, 2009, 01:19:24 AM
September 12th is the expected date of the AHAPI medical team to conduct a free medical mission in the municipality of Duero.

Bohol's favorite lady doctor will be there as she is our resident Dr. and  she is no other then Doctor Estrella Lim.

:)
Hope to see you there!

What is the name of the relative and what is the organization?

I hope they can help the bereaved family if possible the entire funeral package cost them 90thousand pesos.

It was to bad that Lito Responte area Representative  of the KBP informed the family that Layao's KBP license expired on or around sometime last year or the family could of qualified for around some amount of 150thousand pesos.

#89
I absolutley agree with you bennylyne.

I know the Roberto Batchoy Alba sat down with me the other night to discuss the plans of the media roles on Friday regarding this decision.

He told me that we the media will be gathering inside of the courtroom to watch closely the decision of this Carmen Judge.

He he he Atty. Lim is fro Carmen or should I say his wife and him are from Carmen.

I also informed Atty. Lim on what the media will be doing and he had the neatest smile come across his face after i had informed him.

yea' its so expensive to make a business in there with such high rental charges for these people.

They say no food to be allowed at first but so far we have Andocks, Snoowpy Ice cream, and of course the mayor's favorite...Dunkin Donuts.

More information that you may not know about regarding Layao's final media broadcast and print contribution for this last Sundays publication of the Bohol Chronicle.

Two days prior to his own demise media man Fil Layao had done a news write up on a fatality accident involving two deaths involving two different motorbike operators that happened in Dauis Panglao also.

I do not know think he knew he would also be a victim of his own advocating against drunk driving.

Last night a few members of the Bohol Tri Media gathered around at the mass of Fil Layao at Funeria Gomez and we all had the same question posed at one another?

That question is "Why is it that our BTMA President Carlito Responte has not gathered the members to a meeting to come up with a final resolution for our family media member Layao?"

I suggested to Jerry Pabe's Tagbilaran by Night anchorman that (DYRD) he needed to get on the horn with President Responte and get a meeting going amongst our members to give and assist help for the bereaved family of "Fil Layao.

Unfortunately i was unable to follow up with Jerry regarding this matter as I had overstayed at the funeral parlor with media colleauges who are there for a good friend the late Fil Layao.

Here are some things you do not know that had taken place at the scene of the crime according to Anna his daughter my good friend in AHAPI medical in where we go out and do medical missions.

(Fil, and I were both doing the media coverage for this organization he was the broadcaster and me the print.)

Anyways,

Getting back to the point,

After the driver had crashed into Fil, he had ordered his 28 passengers to get out of the jeepney leaving them beside the already deceased man who was pinned under his bike with a busted wide open head (I need not go into exact details as we all have our own imagination on this.).

He the driver who is living in BRGY. Tinago was scared and went home with-out hailing for any help.

The daughter is so frustrated in this matter and after telling me this information last night at the funeral parlor of Gomez she said in these exact words "Why did he even bother to surrender what is his point my dad was already dead.

In America in my county and state that's a big no-no for not staying at the crime scene and that's a big trouble in itself.

Tonight (Tuesday) will be the last vigil before he will be put to rest after a 1PM in The City of Tagbilaran Dampas cemetery.

I just interveiwed a Tagbilaran City councilor regarding any annual funds or budget for the jails more then worst conditions.

She told me there is but when the conselor wants to tour the facility and ask mayor for hel he yells at them that they are encroaching.

The counselor's or helpless with this mayor, and i am not afraid to say so. Talk about a communist! But the people here love him that's wht they vote him always money is cheap and it is easy to be bought here,
#95
Mike you were to call me buddy i would have gone there with you. Today Min2 from CAP/DYTR and I plan to go also to funeria Gomez.

About this helmet thing.....it has been tried here and Philippine persons always complain it is to hot to wear so instead i guess it is better to get your head smashed in and die instead of being hot.

How long will they be keeping his remains in repose at Funeria Gomez?
Some media have gone to Panglao to enjoy fiesta and maybe are planning to give respects later today.

Mike!!!! I was the one who woke you up last night telling you about it and you did not invite me to go with you?

What other media was there when you went there?

Yeah' truly sad indeed and yes I agree that media is the one to advocate the laws and rules to get along and be safe in this place.

In my columns versus my write ups I think I have more fatality write ups due to accidents on motor bikes versus the numerous times tha i have warned persons who get intoxicated not to drink and that police should enforce and impliment the law more so due to the high number of motorcycle fatalities as well as injuries.

I get so irked when I see parents letting their small babies and children stand up on the seat or the motor when cruising down the road? What the heck how ignorant some are here.

Maybe this thread is a good start and should be used as an example to enforce such laws and for people here to not be so hard headed before they end up with more than just a labad ulu!!!
#96
The woman here may be more faithful then men here. The men here are wham bam thank you mams and some woen here are whiz whir thank you sir!

Guys here are no different then other nationalities they lie cheat and are not faithful a few are good these days not just here but anywhere.

You all talk about child laws but yet you have small grade school aged children as vendors running up and down the port all night selling foods such as baluit, peanuts, and what have you not.

Men need to be perceptive and live here for a while and not be so fast to marry the girl her culture and her family before he does not know them long enough to be able to put up with this culture and may realize later after getting married in a hurry he may not like what he is getten into.

There is much talk here about the culture but i think it is becoming more like "The way it was before." as in memory ala ala....

The saying is here about the culture but the actions of the culture are not here same as they were maybe even five years ago.

Themore techno savy we become the more unsensitive we have become to being hard workers and caring about how things were before. The future moves onward the past is the past.

Phil Liayao who is a known media personality in the Bohol community has tragically lost his life last night in a motorcycle head on collision with passenger bus as he was coming back from Panglao Despiritis.

Phil was confimed dead at Celestino Galleras Memorial Hospital at or around 8:O'clock PM in the evening on August 27th, 2009.

Phil was known in the media family and to the community mostly for his mascot name as the "Hitman" on the spot reporter, Phil could be heard as an on the spot radio reporter for DYRD. Phil was very active in Bohol Tri Media and a very active mediaman always willing to give a hand and had a big heart of gold for caring about his fellow mediamen.

I had heard reports on both AM radio stations here last night and had called several mediamen after confirming it with Cesar Compangon another media news reporter from DYTR.

According to Cesar Ben Areigo was suppose to go with Phil back to Tagbilaran but Ben said to the media that he was just too scared to travel with Phil as he said Phil was under intoxicants when leaving Panglao.

Condolensces to the entire Family.

I need to correct what I had said earlier it is the son of Atty. Alexander Lim who is handling all of Dr. Dumaluans cases he is known as Atty. Koy2 Lim and is in my eyes is a straight to the point and straight from the book kind of Atty. I find him to be totally honest and he has won cases for Dr. Dumaluan before.

I know normally people want to speculate on what would be the possible motives, and coneections to any kind of shooting that takes place.

I cringe whenever I hear the people say let's wait and depend on what the Panglao PNP has to say once the investigation is finished? (WHAT?)!

As you do recall another case handled by the Atty. Trabajo and Lim Office there was the case of Martin Williams Hawthorn. That case and all things leading up to his killing had Panglao PNP going door to door bribing mothers and theyre daughters to lie against Martin to earn money in a wrongfull charges saying that they were raped by the foreigner Williams. (Imagine even police dancing like the wolves to behave corruptley over money.)

So much contamination and mishandling and misinvestigating of many feesible angles and untill now not solved due to all the polie's work and dirty work I might add to cover up and all and looking at how they treat persons waiting for trial down inside these dirty filthy jails that are not good enough for even a sewer rat to take refuge in I tell you FRANKLY I am not to sure if I can trust the PNP here as far as I can throw them these days.

I know there are good policeman out there. But it seems like there is too much bad that hides the attention from the good ones.

How to trust again these men who I know are big time cheaters on their wives.

I could name names but thats another story.

You do notice the By line from Daily Inquire, Chito Fuentes is the most trusted writer of Business Tycoon Anos Fronicair the owner of the Bohol Beach Club.

I know Anos when I am near to he him moves away from me as fast as he can. It has nothing to do with me it has to do with who I write for and that is the Atty. firm representing Dumaluan.

Yes' there has been an ongoing property disputes regarding an old municipal cementary where the poor would burry their dead due to poverty especaily children who died early with diseases that had yet no cures for them were burried there in a place just behind the old boat club below the Dap Dap tree.

Under the tree known as the Dap Dap Tree is where the Municipal cemetary was located but the property was purchased by Fronicair and very fast like he had constructed his BBC Resort over that cemetary.

Dumaluan takes it as sentimental value in regards to that property and wanted to restore it again as the old Municipal cemetary. The grandmother and family ancestors of Dumaluan and others are laying under BBC Resort now.

I was the one who studied this asignment and had seen the legal documents on who was the owner of the land ariginally.
It was municipal cemetary indeed. I also talked with very old pioneer natives of Panglao who lived near to the Cemetary and they were the ones who told me as little girls it was they're friends who were burried there back in the day and they were burried for free as people were just way too poor to spend for proper burrial.

I was fortunante to come across a land surveyer from Cebu who had just surveyed that property and property for the airport in Panglao. he showed me where the boundary of the cemetary was and askd me how I had known about it?

I laughingly scvoffed and said that i study historical property and was told by old natives that it was burried by a resort now. Avoiding the name. He asked me never to say to anyone that he had showed me on his PC the survey outlines.

I am sure the government office would have the name of the surveyer on file from Cebu .

I am sure we all can recall the Dumaluan murder case in where the police were protecting a paid witness who was found to be lieing in court. I had interveiwed PNP Director Inking and he was mad I had recorded the interveiw asking him about the paid witness that was staying at Camp Dagohoy versus staying in the prison, who was up against Dr. Dumaluan. Unfortunantly he had a hold of my N95 and deleted all the entire interveiw and the next day my publisher decided to print the picture in the following newspaper the next door showing him erasing the interveiw.

The next day Provincail PNP Director was damned hot and kept ringing my phone and i would not pick it up because it was mothers day and I did not want to hear it!!!

Unfortunantly he had left me a very loving text message tellingme that I was basically a bitch and that people fear me and dislike me when I am around. (On mothers day he sent the text.)

Ohwell no wonder why people here do not want to be straight to the point it is the simple reasons of what could happen to your life or pride.

So maybe it is better to be dihonest in a Roman Catholic dominant country because dishonesty will save your life.

Again sad to see what are to be good persons devoted to God doing bad again.

If any media is reading this just remember how good Dr. Dumaluan is to all of us anytime we go to him.
For example he hosted us at his resort and let us have 24 hour huts all for free and private use during our beach party.

He has helped media a lot and has been a true friend how one should be.

All I have mentioned up above is all true and already been printed time after time.

The Sunday Post Publisher Boy Guing is also close friends with Anos Fronicair and I have also seen Mayor Dan Lim schmoozing up to him during the Team Unity Campaign in the 2006 elections.

You know the quot; "MONEY TALKS and b*** WALKS!"

I just hope this is not pre meditated as well or the other guy shooting Dumaluan was not a paid hitman like we have seen here in the past who was to spark up an arguement and make it look like there was reason to shoot and make it look like some sort of self defense.

I am not going to say much more. I am curious to see how this is going to get resolved.
