Let's pray for one of the greatest Filipinos of all time, a constitutionalist,a professor, a dean, an author,  and most of all a PRIEST, Fr. Joaquin Bernas of the Society of Jesus.  The only individual so esteemed by the Supreme Court  that it characterized  his opinions as "august". Brilliant but humble and very approachable.

Fr. B as we lovingly call him at the Ateneo was  the Jesuit Provincial ( the "boss" of the Jesuits)  during the dictatorship of Marcos and I was fortunate enough to be a college student during his incumbency. He set the tone for our critical thinking.

His favorite riposte to a law student after recitation: "Why are you wrong?" and then he allowed the student to correct herself/himself and be good.  That has become legendary. We would imitate him. 

He was the one who asked  me to be the very   first full-time law professor at the Ateneo De Manila School of Law.  I heeded his advise. After three law books and two forthcoming ones, I still think of him when undertaking a major academic move. Before  I  was appointed Dean of FEU Law to revitalize the program, I asked Fr. Bernas' permission and advise. He seemed to ponder or  even  hesitate for a while and then said "Go Mel, help the school in whatever way you can."   He made Ampy's recommendation for a full-scholarship at the University of Toronto and made sure some provisions were available for her while she was taking her Master of Laws.   He  was the one who blessed our family home.  When Patricia, my daughter, graduated Valedictorian in 2015  from the Ateneo Law School, he was the honoree.   

I am sure, Fr. B touched many lives as a professor, mentor, friend and  most especially as a  PRIEST. I loved to attend  Masses he officated. His homilies were the best lectures anyone can hear -- to the point, brief, inspiring, and loaded --- better than his lectures as a law professor.

He is now in the ICU. May he regain his strength.

News Release: Former Cabinet Secretary Leoncio Evasco Jr. is reportedly set to return to the Cabinet after his failed gubernatorial bid in Bohol.

I welcomed the prospect of Evasco’s comeback, saying Duterte can consult with the former rebel priest on corruption matters.

“I can say without batting an eyelash that Evasco, a former priest and member of the communist New People’s Army (NPA), will bring back honesty and decency in the Palace when he gets reappointed to the Duterte Cabinet,”

There was no mention in about the Cabinet position Evasco will reportedly be appointed to.

A longtime friend of Duterte, Evasco resigned from the Cabinet in October 2018 to run for governor.

His post was given to former Davao City Rep. Karlo Nograles.

SINAS : INTENSIFY POLICE OPERATIONS VS TERRORISM

Police commandos captured an armourer and another wanted member of the ISIS-inspired Abu Sayyaf Group during separate counter-intelligence operations in Basilan this morning.

Reports reaching PNP Chief, Police General Debold M Sinas from Police Brig Gen Bernabe Balba, Acting Director of PNP Special Action Force disclosed that a Counter Terrorism Operation was launched on the wee hours this morning by the Regional Intelligence Division (RID) of Police Regional Office  9; and 5th Special Action Battalion (SAB) and  84th Special Action Company (Seaborne) of the Rapid Deployment Battalion (RDB) of PNP Special Action Force and to implement Search Warrant No. 04-2020 for Illegal Possession of Explosives and Ammunition issued by Hon. Leo Jay T Principe, Presiding Judge of RTC Branch 1 of Isabela City, Basilan.

RANGER SIASON, the subject of the search was placed under arrest when the raiding team found a cache of explosives at his residence in Purok 1, Brgy. Aguada, Isabela City, Basilan.

Confiscated from Siason’s possession were two (2) fragmentation grenades, two (2) 40mm High Explosive shells, 30 rounds of 5.56mm rifle ammunition, four (4) kilograms of Ammonium Nitrate/Fuel Oil (ANFO)explosives, six (6) cal.50 shells, and an ISIS flag.

In a separate operation at 4:45 AM, MUNJIRAL KABOLE, the subject of a Warrant of Arrest for Kidnapping and Serious Illegal Detention issued by Hon. Danilo Bucoy of RTC Branch 2 of Isabela City, Basilan, was captured another counter terrorism operation initiated by the PNP Intelligence Group backed by operatives from PNP-SAF, Philippine Coast Guard, Philippine Marines, and Basilan Police Provincial Office in Barangay Saluping of the island mincipality of Tabuan-Lasa, Basilan.   

The Chief PNP quickly commended the operating units for the effective execution of the counter terrorism operations even as he reiterated his instructions to further intensify law enforcement efforts against domestic threat groups and terrorist organizations, particularly the Abu Sayyaf Group, Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighter (BIFF), and the communist New People’s Army.     

According to PNP Spoksperon, Police Brig Gen Ildebrandi Usana, Police records identified Siason as an associate of the Abu Sayyaf Group based in Basilan responsible for the procurement and transport of explosives and ammunition for the terrorist group.

Siason is also being sought for alleged involvement in the Abu Sayyaf rampage in Barangay Tubigan, Maluso, Basilan on August 1, 2017 where nine residents were massacred and a cluster of houses were burned, Usana said.

Kabole on the otherhand, is principal suspect in the kidnapping of Hja Sadday Jalal sometime in 2009 in Sumisip, Basilan. He is also involved in the series of attack on PNP and AFP forces in Basilan Privince. Kabole is under of the command of the notorious ASG Sub-Leader PASIL BAYALI. 

Usana said the PNP will file criminal charges against Siason for Illegal Possession of Explosives and Ammunition while Kabole will be presented to the Court for the procedural return of warrant.

Kulay Ube at Asul Na Pagkain
Health tip ni Doc Willie Ong

Ang mga prutas at gulay na kulay ube (purple) at asul (blue) ay kadalasang mabuti sa puso, tiyan at nagpapalakas din ng katawan. Ang mga pagkaing ito ay may sangkap na “anthocyanins” at iba pang anti-oxidants tulad ng lutein, resveratrol, vitamin C, flavonoids, ellagic acid at quercetin. Dahil dito, masustansya ang mga pagkaing may ganitong kulay tulad ng asul na ubas at talong.

1. Asul na ubas â€" Ang ubas na kulay asul ay may taglay na flavonoids, quercetin, at resveratol (nasa balat ng ubas). Ayon sa pagsusuri, ang ubas ay nagpapataas ng ating good cholesterol. Pinipigilan nito ang pag-buo-buo ng platelets sa dugo para hindi magbara ang ugat. Ayon sa mga eksperto, mas masustansya ang asul, pula at itim na ubas kumpara sa berdeng ubas. Ang ubas ay napag-alaman ding may panlaban sa virus at bacteria. Para sa maysakit, mainam silang pakainin ng ubas dahil pinapalakas nito ang immune system ng katawan at bibilis ang kanilang paggaling. Huwag lang kumain ng sobrang daming ubas at ito’y nakatataba din. Sa bawat kainan ay mga 12 pirasong ubas lang ang nirerekomendang kainin.

2. Talong o eggplant â€" Ang talong ay may taglay na carbohydrates, potassium, calcium, vitamin B at vitamin C. Ayon sa pag-aaral, ang talong ay mayaman sa phytochemicals na makatutulong sa pag-iwas sa kanser. Mayroon ding sangkap na diuretic o pampaihi ang talong na makabubuti sa mga pasyenteng may bato sa bato (kidney stones) at high blood pressure. Makatutulong din ang talong sa pagtunaw ng ating kinakain.

3. Ube â€" Ang ube ay may carbohydrate at fiber na puwedeng kainin ng mga may diabetes at sakit sa puso. Mataas ito sa vitamin C at vitamin B na mahusay sa ating balat at dugo. Mayaman ito sa potassium, copper at manganese na kailangan ng ating katawan.

Ang iba pang masustansyang kulay asul na prutas at gulay ay ang prunes, blueberries at kulay ube na repolyo.

Naisalaysay ni Pampangan na inilapit nya kay Governor Catamco ang kanilang pangangailangan ng tribal hall noong ito ay kongresista pa taong 2018. Agad umano itong inaprobahan sa halagang P5M at nadagdagan pa nga nang P5M kaya nagkaroon sila ng dalawang gusali.

Ang gusali ay magsilbi din bilang display center ng mga handy crafts, mga damit, habi at palamuti na gawa nga mga kababaehan sa tribu. Ilalagay na rin dito ang mga antigong instrumento ng pagtugtog at maging lugar para sa mga pagsasanay.

Sinabi ni Pampangan na pagsisikapan ng kanyang tanggapan na maiangat ang kanilang teknikal na kaalaman.

"Naningkamot usab kami sa pagtabang sa pagduso sa kalambuan. Ang panghinaut natu nga kitang tanan magkahiusa alang da pagpalambo sa kahimtang sa tribu."

Nag alay ng sayaw pasasalamat ang mga kabataang tribu para sa Gobernador at sa mga sumaksi sa aktibidad .

As Typhoon Ulysses left trail of destruction in Luzon, Alturas Group of Companies was quick to take action and helps provide emergency funds worth P100,000 to the typhoon victims. Daan na nga medyo luya ang kahimtang sa lawas. Ang immediate cause of death mao ang severe hypovolemic shock secondary to severe gastroenteritis. CANDIJAY. Bohol Gov. Art Yap is on a streak as he yet proceeded to another venue this time to distribute the 8 kilos premium rice and contact tracing cards to family beneficiaries in Candijay.

Explaining that the contact tracing cards can be used by any member of the family to whom the card is issued in entering an establishment, office, or any building to do face-to-face transactions, Gov. Art urges everyone to hold on to the card and be careful not to lose it. The cards are also for easier tracing when a Covid positive case is found in one place.

Further, the governor asked everyone to be united in this trying time and remind each other to follow protocols and the set health standards.

MORE FOR BIEN UNIDO.  Bohol Gov. Art Yap is back for more for the people in Bien Unido.

Bien Unido received more assistance and projects as Gov. Art turned over 1.2 million pesos worth of indemnity cheques as agri-fishery insurance to 105 farmers for the damages in their rice, corn and livestock brought by the pandemic.

The  crop insurance program is one of the major programs implemented by Yap during his time as Department of Agriculture secretary. 

The Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation is a government owned corporation created as the implementing agency of the government's agricultural insurance program. 

Aside from that, 10 kilos rice were also given to 240 displaced workers under the tourism sector who have been hit by the pandemic.

Gov. Art also delivered food packs and two thousand pesos cash assistance to 58 families in Isla Maomawan who have been in  lockdown because of active covid cases.

Further, to strengthen food security, Gov. Art wants to establish a farmer and fishery market and adding another "tabo" day in every municipality for farmers to have control of their products.

Without water, the governor knows that these projects would take time in materializing. He is  allocating 100 million pesos in the 2021 for Bien Unido to complete water projects.

The governor is joined by Mayor Rene Borenaga, Vice Mayor Monching Arcenal, Moises Boniel (MAO), Rojiene Sedillo (PCIC), Charmelita Tecson (OPSWD), and Jimmy Crusio (DSWD)

There are countless cults promising personality enhancement by meditation, mind-power, capturing the cosmic force, or tuning in to the infinite. The truth is they promise nothing at all except temporary relief or tranquility of spirit if you keep it up like Yoga. They are not a cure for the cancer - sin, the root of our inner tensions. Like the aspirin adverts say, “they relieve the headache but do not affect the heart". A psychiatrist assured me that all people needed were to be calmed down. I looked at him and said, "Mister, a man on a sinking ship needs more than a tranquilizer. He needs rescue. He doesn't want to be calmed down when he is already going down!" Jesus stretches out His nail-pierced hand to those on the world's sinking vessel, grips them, lifts them, and says, "Because I live ye shall live also". The Great Physician bears the name Jesus, which means SAVIOR. Saving is His special task, and His only. He came into the world "to destroy the works of the devil and to set the captives free". He did not offer mere sedatives, or morpheme. Making people forget, or not care, or laugh, is no cure. "Jesus Christ went about healing all who were oppressed of the devil" (Acts 10,38). He is the Resurrection and the Life. We fully trust Him. God bless you.

CPNP SINAS: ANTI ILLEGAL DRUGS CAMPAIGN YIELD HIGH VALUE SUSPECTS

The Philippine National Police is sustaining the momentum of the national anti-illegal campaign with more aggressive operations against high-value targets and prominent drug personalities.

PNP Chief, Police General Debold M Sinas made this assessment as he noted the recent series of successful police interdiction operations against illegal drug activities.

Sinas noted reports reaching the PNP Command Center in Camp Crame on the arrest of a high-value drug suspect arrested early this morning in Cebu City.

Sinas formerly headed the Police Regional Office-7 as Regional Director in Central Visayas at the height of the PNP anti-illegal drugs campaign in the region.

The report indicates that operatives of Cebu City Police Office launched a buy-bust operation in coordination with the PDEA Regional Office 7 that resulted to the arrest of JEANNETH GADIANE ABAYAN @ Jean.

Abayan, listed as a high-value target, was arrested in a sting operation with one kilogram of crystal methamphetamine or Shabu estimated to be worth Php 6.8-million in the illicit market.

The suspect is now facing criminal charges violating Sections 5 and 11 of the Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

On other developments in Luzon, Police Regional Office Cordillera reported to the PNP Chief that 14 kilograms of marijuana bricks were recovered.

A Barangay Police assigned in Barangay Ambuklao informed the Bokod Municipal Police Station regarding suspicious items apparently found to be marijuana bricks sealed in boxes in a van from Tabuk City.  The illegal stash is estimated to worth P1.68-million.

Police personnel responded in the area, and upon verification, discovered the contraband in a passenger van from Tabuk City that made a stopover in the area. A deeper investigation is underway to identify the owner of the illegal cargo. (PNP-PIO)

Ang mga pangunahing talata kung saan binabanggit ang ‘marka ng halimaw’ ay ang Pahayag 13:15-18. Ang ibang mga talata ay matatagpuan din sa Pahayag 14:9, 11, 15:2, 19:20, at 20:4. Ang marka ay magsisilbing tatak para sa mga tagasunod ng antikristo at ng bulaang propeta (ang tagapagsalita ng antikristo). Ang bulaang propeta (ang pangalawang halimaw) ang siyang magtutulak sa mga tao upang magpatatak. Ang tatak ay literal na ilalagay sa kamay o sa noo at hindi lamang isang simpleng kard na dinadala ng isang tao.

Ang mga makabagong imbensyon ngayon katulad ng mga microchip o maliliit na gadget na ipinapasok sa katawan ng tao upang kumuha ng mga impormasyon na maaaring gamitin sa medisina ang lumikha ng mas masidhing interes sa marka ng halimaw na tinutukoy sa Pahayag kabanata 13. Maaaring ang mga chip na ito na ating nakikita sa teknolohiya sa panahon ngayon ay kumakatawan sa mga pasimulang estado ng mga bagay na maaaring gamitin bilang pantatak ng halimaw. Mahalagang maunawaan na ang mga chip na itinatanim sa tao sa larangan ng medisina ay hindi ang marka ng halimaw. Ang marka ng halimaw ay isang bagay na ibinibigay lamang sa mga sasamba sa antikristo. Ang pagkakaroon ng medikal na microchip o chip para sa mga pinansyal na transakyon sa kanang kamay o sa noo ay hindi marka ng halimaw. Ang marka ng halimaw ay ang pagkakakilanlan sa huling panahon ng antikristo upang makabili o makapagbenta at ito'y ibibigay lamang sa mga taong sasamba sa antikristo.

Maraming mga tagapagpaliwanag ng aklat ng Pahayag ang nagkakaiba-iba sa eksaktong kalikasan ng marka ng halimaw. Maliban sa microchip na itinatanim, kabilang sa iba pang espekulasyon ay ang ID kard, microchip at barcode na itina-tattoo sa balat, o isang simpleng marka upang makilala bilang tapat na tagasunod ng antikristo. Ang huling pananaw ang pinakahuli sa mga espekulasyon dahil hindi ito nagdagdag ng anumang impormasyon sa kung ano ang ibinigay sa atin ng Bibliya. Sa ibang salita, ang alinman sa mga pananaw na ito ay posible, gayunman, ang lahat ng mga ito ay pawang haka-haka lamang. Hindi tayo dapat magaksaya ng maraming oras sa pagpapalagay sa mga eksaktong detalye

Ang kahulugan ng 666 ay isa ding misteryo. May mga nagpapanukala na may koneksyon ito sa June 6, 2006 o 06/06/06. Gayunman sa Pahayag kabanata 13, ang bilang na 666 ay nagpapakilala sa isang tao hindi sa isang petsa sa kalendaryo. Sinasabi sa atin ng Pahayag 13:18, "Dito'y may karunungan. Ang may pagkaunawa ay bilangin ang bilang ng hayop; sapagka't siyang bilang ng isang tao: at ang kaniyang bilang ay Anim na raan at anim na pu't anim." Gayon pa man, ang numerong 666 ay magpapakilala kung sino ang antikristo. Sa loob ng maraming siglo, maraming tagapagpaliwanag ng Bibliya ang nagtangka na kilalanin ang mga indibidwal na maaaring siyang 666. Ngunit wala isa man sa kanila ang tumama. Ito ang dahilan kung bakit ayon sa Pahayag 13:18 kailangan ang talino upang makilala ang taong ito. Sa oras na mahayag ang antikristo (2 Tesalonica 2:3-4), magiging maliwanag kung sino siya at kung paanong ipinapakilala siya ng numerong 666.

Official STATEMENT |  Capture of NPA members in Paquibato unmask true face of MISFI, Haran

The City Government of Davao commends the men and women of the 27th Infantry Battalion for the recent successful operations against the New People’s Army in Paquibato District.

The bravery of our soldiers resulted in the capture of two young members of the terrorist group in Sitio Quibolog, Barangay Mapula on November 14, 2020.

But it also unmasked and exposed the true face of the Mindanao Interfaith Services Foundation, Inc. (MISFI) and the Haran Center of the United Church of Christ in the Philippines in Davao City.

The captured NPA members Nasria Bansil and Geliejorain Ngojo were both scholars of MISFI and they served as part-time teachers for lumad children and elderly people camping at the compound of Haran Center in Davao.

As scholars, the two were made to sign a Return Service contract, binding them to serve and volunteer with organizations allied with the scholarship donor. Before finishing college in 2019, both Bansil and Ngojo volunteered twice with Haran, teaching what they called ‘Litnum’ or basic literacy and numeracy education.

Early this year, the two were recruited to become full-time cadres of the terrorist group.

Clearly, MISFI and Haran played important and active roles in the recruitment of Bansil and Ngojo into the underground terrorist movement.

These organizations primed and prepared Bansil and Ngojo into joining a terrorist group that has perpetuated the condition of poverty and underdevelopment across upland communities of indigenous peoples.

We reiterate the warning of the security sector about the existence and operations of groups that serve as recruitment arms and fronts of the NPAs.

These groups operate on the pretense of education, religion, human rights, environment, women empowerment, children’s rights â€" basically just like MISFI and Haran.

Reports about MISFI schools, just like Salugpungan Ta Tanu Igkanugon Community Learning Center (STTICLC), teaching ideologies of the NPA had been alarmingly persistent over the years.

Haran, on the one hand, has been sheltering lumads from Talaingod in Davao del Norte â€" apparently to bolster the Left’s campaign against military operations in hinterland areas where the terrorists NPAs are operating.

Using hapless children and civilians to stop military pressure of the NPAs is a tactic straight from the playbook of the National Democratic Front of the Philippines, the Communist Party of the Philippines, and its allies.

The City Government of Davao has been relentless in its efforts to establish lasting peace and sustainable development in Paquibato District.

Through Peace 911, we are providing the people in Paquibato with livelihood and economic opportunities, education,  roads, bridges, community health centers, and other infrastructure projects.

Meanwhile, we call on all peace-loving Dabawenyos to reject individuals and organizations that hamper the development of our City.

  - Five (5) Improvised Explosive Device (Hand Grenade type);
- Three (3) rifle magazine (2 long,1 short);
- Two (2) portable Power Generator;
- Two (2) Power inverter;
- Two (2) Remote control for IED;
- Electrical wires with socket;
- Four (4) pulley for training purposes;
- One (1) Backpack with personal belongings, and;
- Subversive documents.

The 2 recovered portable electric generators were being used during CPP-NPA anniversaries in the said area.

Imbas will receive awards for three Food Processing Innovation Center -Davao (FPIC Davao)-related product development under Utility Model Registration.

Meanwhile, DOST XI Assistant Regional Director for Research and Development for Development Innovation Division (ReDID), Dr. Kenneth D. Barroga will receive awards for two international publications which highlight the extent of the adoption of technological innovation of micro, small, and medium food processing enterprises in Davao Region; and the nexus between the Energy Consumption and Gross Domestic Product in the country.

Dr. Sales stressed that these recognitions show DOST XI's efforts in making R&D Management as one of its core competencies.

WHEREAS, the World Health Organization (WHO) has declared a COVID-19 pandemic;

WHEREAS, President Rodrigo Duterte issued Presidential Proclamation 1021 extending the State of Calamity in the country until September 12, 2021;

WHEREAS, there is a surge of COVID-19 cases in Davao City because of the innumerable activities allowed during a Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ);

WHEREAS, there is a need to control the COVID-19 cases in Davao City because of the full occupancy of the COVID-19 beds in the Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) and other hospitals;

WHEREAS, there is a need to reduce the number of people moving inside Davao City;

WHEREAS, there is a need to seek the assistance of Joint Task Force (JTF) COVID Shield for enforcement of Authorized Persons Outside Residence (APOR) and NON-APOR travel into Davao City to insulate other Local Government Units (LGUs) from the effect of the surging cases in the city as well as to further protect the residents of Davao City;

WHEREAS, the Regional Inter-Agency Task Force (RIATF) XI has approved on November 12, 2020, the request of the Davao City COVID-19 Task Force for approval to put Davao City as a RESTRICTED Local Government Unit;

WHEREAS, the Philippine National Police (PNP) has duly concurred with the approval of the RIATF XI;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, SARA Z. DUTERTE, Mayor of the City of Davao, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby order the following:

SECTION 1. WHO ARE APOR AND THEIR REQUIREMENTS.

The following are the list of Authorized Persons Outside of Residence and their requirements for entry to Davao City:
A. Health and emergency frontline services personnel;
B. Government officials, employees, government frontline personnel;
C. Duly-authorized Humanitarian Assistance Actors (HAAs);
D. Coming in for work or business and going home;

Requirements:

Via Land travel from other parts of Mindanao:

JTF COVID Shield and Local Government Unit:
1)  Company/Office ID and Certificate of Employment OR Principal acknowledgment of labor/service (for those without employer-employee relationship); AND
2)  Company/Office Travel Order; AND
3)  Hotels and other similar accommodation establishments Confirmation (APOR cannot stay in the houses of Davao City residents), if staying for more than one day.

Via Land travel from Visayas and Luzon:

JTF COVID Shield and Local Government Unit:
1)  Company/Office ID and Certificate of Employment OR Principal acknowledgment of labor/service (for those without employer-employee relationship); AND
2)  Company/Office Travel Order; AND
3)  Hotels and other similar accommodation establishments Confirmation (APOR cannot stay in the houses of Davao City residents), if staying for more than one day; AND
4)  Twenty-four to seventy-two (24-72) hour from date of arrival RT-PCR negative test result or test upon arrival.

Via Air travel from all domestic and international airports:

JTF COVID Shield and Local Government Unit:
1)  Company/Office ID and Certificate of Employment or Acknowledgment of Principal for labor/service (for those without employer-employee relationship); AND
2)  Medical Certificate Clearance; AND
3)  Company/Office Travel Order; AND
4)Hotels and other similar accommodation establishments Confirmation
(APOR cannot stay in the houses of Davao City residents), if staying for
more than one day; AND
5) Roundtrip Ticket; AND

I. Bus, Van and Airplane passengers who arrive/land in Davao City but are travelers bound for another city/municipality/LGU;

J. Returning Davao City resident by land, air or sea, including the LSIs, OFs, OFWs;

K. Returning Davao City resident frequently travelling by air (Mindanao travel) and land for work/business or returning from domicile;

Requirements:
1)  Company/Office Travel Order (work/business), AND
2)  An ID with a Davao City address, OR Any document with a Davao City address and ID (for return from domicile); AND
3)  If available, the current month RT-PCR negative test result.

SECTION 2. WHO ARE NON-APOR AND THEIR REQUIREMENTS. All those not listed in Section 1 Letters (A) to (K) are considered Non-Authorized Persons Outside of Residence. The following are requirements for entry to the city:

SECTION 3. DOCUMENT USE. The requirements stated in Sections 1 and 2 hereof.

SECTION 4. AMBULANCE. There are no requirements for patients transported by ambulance, except for a momentary stop at the check for the presence of a patient and take the ambulance vehicle details. If it is clear that there is no patient, the ambulance and all its occupants are required to present requirements in Section 1 hereof.

SECTION 5. DQR. In addition to the requirements in Sections 1 and 2 hereof, the use of the Safe Davao QR upon implementation of the initiative.

SECTION 6. SEPARABILITY CLAUSE. If any provision of this Executive Order is declared invalid or unconstitutional, the other provisions not affected thereby shall remain valid and subsisting.

SECTION 7. REPEALING CLAUSE. All Orders or parts thereof which are inconsistent with the provisions of this Executive Order are hereby repealed or modified accordingly.

SECTION 8. EFFECTIVITY. This Order shall take effect immediately. Done this 18th day of November 2020 in Davao City, Philippines.

CSC-BARMM picks three execs as outstanding government workers

COTABATO CITY, Philippines â€" Three local officials topped this year’s regional search for outstanding government workers by the Civil Service Commission.

Dominador Gonzales, Jr., officer-in-charge of the CSC-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, confirmed Wednesday that Mayors Hanie Bud and Nashiba Gandamra Sumagayan of Maluso, Basilan and Taraka, Lanao del Sur, respectively, and Vice Mayor Ali Lawi Sumandar of Piagapo, Lanao del Sur, have won in the search for outstanding government workers in the region.

Gonzales said they were chosen as outstanding public servants based on their performance as municipal officials.

Bud, now in his second term as mayor of Maluso and Sumagayan both bagged the CSC’s Pag-asa Awards for their efficient management of their respective local government units.

The LGU of Maluso received in the past two years the vaunted Seal of Good Local Governance, or SGLG, from the central office of the Department of the Interior and Local Government.

The grant of SGLG to deserving LGUs is a yearly nationwide activity of DILG, premised on “best practices” of recipients, sound fiscal management and active peace and security initiatives.

Sumandar is recipient of the CSC’s Dangal ng Bayan award for 2020, according to Gonzales.

Gonzales said a bloc of employees in the Mindanao State University in Marawi City â€" the Gandingan Group, which has been helping push MSU’s operation as Mindanao’s largest state-run academic institution forward â€" was also named Pag-asa awardee under the group category of the search.

“These awardees qualified for the awards based on criteria set by the Civil Service Commission,” Gonzales said.

An employee of the Social Social Security System in Sulu, Sitti Alhada Abayan, was also chosen to receive the Dangal ng Bayan award.

“We in CSC-BARMM are thankful to all those who helped us facilitate the commission’s search for outstanding government workers in the Bangsamoro region for this year,” Gonzales said.

It is with great sadness to know that Engr. Teofisto Pagar Sr. AKA "PAPA FISTO" had joined our eternal Creator today at the age of 80.

His entire life was not only focused to the success of his family and kids but also a shared journey with the people of Jagna as he had been a member of the Sangguniang Bayan of Jagna for more than 20 years as councilor and vice mayor.

As he approached the twilight of his life, he had never been silent on monitoring the welfare of the people as he also aired his piece on the recently stalled budget in the Sangguniang Bayan through the airwaves radio program but thanks be to God everything already went fine ahead of his passing.

He was a man of great passion and dedication to his family and of public service and was never been controversial in any anomaly both in his public and private life. A path worth immitating by the people in the government today.

He has been one of my inspirations in public service and he never failed to lift me up everytime I had to fight off anyone for the common good of the people.

May the eternal God embrace you in heaven and may the good Lord grant you eternal solace.

My heartelt condolences to the bereaved family of PAPA FISTO!! Keep strong and may God be with you on these difficult times.

Ford Philippines formally turned over to Tacurong City the LGU’s newly purchased Ford Transit Ambulance, the first vehicle of its kind to be converted into an ambulance in Mindanao.

In its Facebook Page, the Department of Transportation mentioned that this new ambulance unit is one of the most modern ambulances in the country.

LGU Tacurong City purchased it at P3.15 million and, aside from its size advantage, comes equipped with a medical wall wide cabinet, collapsible stretcher, a divider with a sliding window, a stainless-steel ramp, defibrillator, nebulizer, and various medical consumables.

This unit may also support the present COVID-19-related operations of the Incident Management Team.

Social Etiquette 101

1. Don’t call someone more than twice continuously. If they don’t answer, it simply means they have something more important to attend to.

At around 7:30 p.m. of November 17, 2020, PDEA Bohol Provincial Office led by IA V Joseph Theodore B Atila served as augmentation force to anti drug operation spearheaded by PNP PDET-PIU Bohol led by PLT Amelito Melloria and RPDEU-7 led by PSsg Ryan John Naraga at Purok 6, Taloto, Tagbilaran City, Bohol which resulted to the arrest of Mohammar Tomawis  alias Orak, 30 years old, male, married, a resident of Muslim Village, Taloto, Tagbilaran City and John Firnyl Millan, 26 years old, male, single, a resident of Capitol Valley, Tagbilaran City, Bohol.

Confiscated during the operation were eight ( pieces heat sealed transparent plastic sachets weighing more or less 100 grams worth Php680,000, buy-bust money and other non drug evidence.

Cases for violation of Sections 5 and 11 Article II of RA 9165 will be filed against the suspects.

TWO CARNAPPERS FALL IN PNP BULACAN DRAGNET OPERATIONS

Two (2) motorcycle carjackers died in a police operation at dawn today, November 17, in San Rafael, Bulacan.

A report to PNP Chief, Police General Debold M Sinas from Police Brig Gen Alexander Tagum, Director of PNP Highway Patrol Group said
two (2) unidentified suspects on board a stolen Yamaha Mio motorcycle were killed after traded gunfire with responding police teams this morning along Bypass Road, Brgy. San Roque.

The report said  HPG operatives received a voice alarm from from San Rafael Municipal Police Station about the  Carjacking of a Yamaha Mio that happened at 3:00 AM in Brgy. Sampaloc.

Provincial Highway Patrol Team of Bulacan PNP immediately launched an anti-carnapping or dragnet operations within the possible exit and escape routes of suspects.

Police operatives flagged down and directed to stop a motorcycle, which apparently identified as the stolen vehicle. The suspects fired shots against the responding HPG personnel hitting the front bumper of their mobile patrol car, and sped off towards Brgy. San Roque.

The mobile crew was forced to retaliate against armed suspects that resulted in their instantaneous death and the recovery of the stolen motorcycle.

Also, seized from the possession of suspects were two (2) still unknown calibers of handguns. Bulacan PNP has been requested for crime investigation. (PNP-PIO)

Never thought about this before:

I have always thought that Noah was safe inside the Ark because he built it according to God's specifications. I thought that perhaps it was the strength of the gopher wood and the soundness of the architecture that ensured that the waters of the flood would not come into the Ark.

But today I encountered a verse that shifted this whole paradigm.
Let's read what Gen 7:16 says .." The animals going in were male and female of every living thing as God had commanded Noah..
THEN GOD SHUT HIM IN....

Don't miss this.... even after Noah had built the Ark, it was God Himself who shut him in, in order to shut out the waters of the flood... In other translations this verse says "The Lord sealed them inside."

May the Almighty God seal us inside His Ark of protection through this last quarter of 2020, and each day after and forever.

It is not the fact that you have locked your house that keeps you safe at night, it is not your good driving skills that keeps you safe on the road, neither it's your healthy eating habits that keeps you healthy - only God can shut you in and shut out the devil that is seeking to devour you.

Father we pray that in this last quarter of the year, as we walk into the streets and as we drive on the roads, God shut us in. Father we pray for our children that in the midst of dangers and molesters... You will shut them in, keep out the flood waters of abuse, rape, murder, accidents, diseases and untimely death... If we are to be defined by our work, let it be because we accomplished something that would create a lasting impression to those whom we have dedicated our craft, and not just because we benefited from our labor.

This is what Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Arthur Tugade wants to impart to our people, as he shared that working for the welfare of future generations should be the better cycle of one’s life.

For Secretary Tugade, leaving his legacy and making a difference is more fulfilling and important now, compared to the past, when the primary motivation for working was merely for the accumulation of personal wealth. 

He also paid the ultimate compliment to President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, whom he credits for inspiring him to stay in government service when he could have opted to leave and go back to the private sector. What made him decide to continue as a public servant is his desire to help the President realize his self-imposed goal of making the Filipino life more comfortable.

For Secretary Tugade, this is the profound legacy he wants to leave behind.

Rehab center for ‘drug addicts’
Following the historic decision by Liberal Party-Bohol candidates to submit to a voluntary drug test, the provincial government is now mulling the plan of establishing a drug rehabilitation center to help out those acutely addicted to the illegal substance, including politicians who need immediate treatment, government sources said.

   This developed after Gov. Edgar Chatto issued a directive creating a technical working group (TWG) that would study the requirements and necessity of putting up a drug rehabilitation center in Bohol, the first of its kind.

   The governor’s directive came even as his Liberal partymates continue to urge Carmen Mayor Che Ordoñez Delos Reyes, a gubernatorial bet in the May 2013 polls, to submit herself to a complete drug test amid public clamor for her to come out clean and prove she is not linked to alleged illegal drug trade and addiction.

   LP candidates said elected leaders in Bohol should not be ‘drug pushers or drug addicts’ otherwise “Bohol and its people would be doomed if the politicians here are involved in illegal drugs.”

   They have also expressed fears that money from illegal drug trade, guns and goons by non-LP candidates could be used to manipulate people’s will during the May 2013 polls.

   The belief surfaced after a scathing testimony of Richelyn Tecson of Carmen town aired over DYRD’s Inyong Alagad program, disclosing that Carmen Mayor Delos Reyes is allegedly involved in illegal drug business and drug addiction.

   Earlier, Chatto had submitted to a comprehensive drug test conducted by medical experts and witnessed by top officials of the province, and was proven negative, to set as a model to Boholanos for the nationwide anti-drug campaign and to debunk allegations made by the mayor of Carmen. Later, all Liberal Party candidates in Bohol unanimously decided to face a voluntary drug test, challenging their opponents to do the same and set a moral ascendancy in the fight against illegal drugs.

   First to answer the call were Atty. Alexander “Aleckoy” Lim and city businessman Zenaido “Djingo” Rama, city councilor bets, and Albur Mayor Efren Tungol and all his town councilor slate. On Monday all members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) will undergo a drug test, a move that would intensify Capitol’s crusade against anti-illegal drugs.

For years drug addicts in Bohol would seek treatment in drug rehab centers located in Cebu or Manila because there is not one in Bohol.

Ms. Liza M. Quirog, SEEM Cluster Head at the Capitol, said it is high time that Bohol would put up its own drug rehabilitation center which could cost up to P50 million or more.

Quirog said she will soon convene the possible TWG members who would consolidate and evaluate conflicting reports of a recent Holy Name University (HNU) Poll and that of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).

In the HNU survey, only five percent of the respondents say that drug addiction is a problem in the province. But according to the Provincial Police Office and the PDEA, drug trade and abuse are rampant in certain areas in the province, including Carmen town and Tagbilaran.

In several media interviews, former Carmen Mayor Manuel “Boy” Molina revealed that for the last three years, ‘shabu is selling like hot cake’ in Carmen, Bohol.

   The possible members of the TWG include Quirog as chairperson; SP members Cesar Tomas Lopez and Josephine Socorro Jumamoy; Police Provincial Director Constantino Barot; Atty. Menedio Thaddeus Bernido (Provincial Legal Office); Roberto Cajes (LMP President); Ms. Papiasa Bustrillos (DSWD); Loisella Lucino (DILG); Carmelita Tecson (PSWDO); Esperanza Brunidor (CWL); Marietta Gasatan (BOhol Chamber of Commerce and Industry); and Secretariat (Marilou Makinano and Ramil Rodela). 

   â€œThe TWG work is to check the need or demand for a rehab center â€" that is in the light of HNU survey result where only five percent feels that drug is a problem,” Chatto said in a text message to the Chronicle.

   Public reaction to the HNU survey on drug problem showed that many have disagreed to the poll result saying most ordinary Boholanos surveyed do not possess a first-hand knowledge of the problem considering that illegal drug trade and abuse involve clandestine operations, and only police authorities on the field have a “clear and strong” grasp of this evil menace in society.

   Meanwhile, Quirog noted that the provincial government is operating two rehab centers, but such do not specifically cater to drug addiction.
   One is the Stimulation and Therapeutic Activity Center (STAC) designed for children with physical or mobility problems; children with disabilities aging 14 years old and below. Services include physical therapy, occupational therapy , special education and social services.

   Another is Bohol Crisis Intervention Center (BCIC) intended for women and children who are victims of various social problems where they can seek assistance, security, defense and rehab in order to face the community or world again as a strong person. Services include, psycho social services, education support, legal support, security support, livelihood trainings, psycho therapy, etc.

   â€œThere is one which a Technical Working Group is currently working on. The PPOC (Provincial Peace and Order Council) created a TWG to draft and prepare the establishment of a Bohol Youth Home for the Children in Conflict with the Law.  This is ready for presentation to the PPOC for approval and implementation beginning 2013. This facility covers youth offenders and recidivists both boys and girls. Services include, psycho social services, education support, legal support, security support, livelihood trainings, psycho therapy, etc,” Quirog said in an email message to the Chronicle.

A government source said the planned drug rehab center could be linked up with laboratory testing services provided by the Bohol Medical Care Institute (BMCI), a facility initiated by the Provincial Government of Bohol, First Consolidated Bank Foundation, Homereach Foundation, and DYRD/Bohol Chronicle.

Today, Nov. 16, the Philippine Air Force brought relief goods from Civil Defense PH-NDRRMC via air lift to Brgy. San Isidro, San Andres--one of the communities that were devastated by Typhoon Rolly and Ulysees.

The area is inaccessible by land as it is located between mountains and rivers, making the area prone to landslides.

The relief packs, good for 264 families, include mosquito kits, sleeping mats, jerry cans, candles, clothing, dining utensils, solar lamps, batteries, and hygiene kits.

This is the second wave of assistance given to Brgy. San Isidro, San Andres in Catanduanes.

4 SAMAR TOWNS IDENTIFIED
AS MODEL RICE FARM AREAS

The "Southern Swing," a strategy adopted by the Department of Agriculture which involves the opening and development of potential agricultural areas in impoverished provinces, starts on Dec. 20 when the DA and the Philippine Rice Research Institute develop at least 200 hectares of rice farms in four towns in Northern and Eastern Samar.

The towns include Catubig, Las Navas and Mapanas in Northern Samar and Jipapad in Eastern Samar which was hit by Typhoon Samuel a month ago.

Under the Supervised Rice Farming Scheme, the landowners will be asked to enter into an agreement with the DA and PhilRice for the development of their area into a Model Rice Farm.

The DA and PhilRice, using their technical staff and local manpower, will develop at least 50 hectares each in the four towns where modern rice farming technology using farm machinery, small irrigation systems and outstanding rice seeds will be introduced.

All expenses will be covered by the two agencies which after harvest will quantify the cost of the equipment services and deduct it from the gross earnings.

The remaining production which will be bought by ChinYe Agricultural Corporation based in Alangalang, Leyte at an agreed price will be divided between the landowners and the DA-PhilRice Management Group with 70% going to the landowner.

The ChinYe Agricultural Corporation is owned by a French businessman, Patrick Renucci, and his Filipino-Chinese wife, Rachel Renucci-Tan.

The couple established a state-of-the-art Rice Processing Center in Alangalang, Leyte costing about P1-B and acquired farm equipment and machinery which they allow the farmers to use.

Earnings by the DA-PhilRice Management Group will be plowed back into the project for the development of more areas in the next planting season.

The "Southern Swing" Initiative of the DA aims to develop at least 300,000 hectares of new rice farms in the Southern Provinces of the country to compensate for the projected damage by typhoons every year on crops in the Northern Luzon Area.

In Samar, the targeted area is 100,000-hectares which at an average production of 6-metric tons per hectare would produce an additional 600,000-Metric Tons of Palay or 390,000-Metric Tons of milled rice.

Other areas identified in the "Southern Swing" Initiative are Western Visayas, Mindoro and Palawan, Central Mindanao, Lanao del Sur, Bukidnon and the Zamboanga Peninsula.

The targeted 300,000-hectares of new rice areas are scheduled to be fully developed by 2020.

The combined Intelligence Operatives of Police Regional Office (PRO) 11, National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA) XI, 1002 Brigade, Team Intelligence Service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (ISAFP), 16 Infantry Battalion (IB), 3IB and troops from 102DRC, and with the support of the Directorate for Integrated Police Operations in Eastern Mindanao (DIPO-EM) arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest Marcos Requina in his residence at Sitio Bakayan, Brgy. Sagundanon, Kitaotao, Bukidnon.

Requina is a former Secretary of Front Committee Kara, Western Mindanao Regional Committee (WMRC) and listed as the 23rd Most Wanted CPP-NPA-Terrorists' (CNTs) of Joint (Department of National Defense) DND-(Department of Interior and Local Government) DILG Joint Order on Reward.         

He has standing WARRANT OF ARREST FOR MURDER before the Regional Trial Court Branch 18 of Zamboanga del Sur with No recommended Bail Bond.                                                   
                                                       
Requina joined the Semi Legal team, Front KARA, WMRC in 1985 and has been engaged with the NPAs until the year 2015. During these periods he held positions, such as squad leader and platoon medic. He was a member of functional staff as Intel/CIT of Section Committee KARA (EXECOM), and Vice Commanding Officer of 1st Platoon from 2007 - 2012.

He was part of the team that harassed Patrol Base of 55 IB, 1st Division in 2000.                                                                   
                                                                                                                 
He will be temporarily held at Davao City Police Office (DCPO) detention facility prior to his transfer to Zamboanga del Sur for the return of warrant of arrest and his committal to their Provincial Rehabilitation Center.

Baguio City Mayor Benjie Magalong said that the MinDA Tienda continues on its second day today in several locations and it may be extend for another day on Monday to accommodate goods from Mindanao which were delayed because of the floods in Bicol and Quezon.

The MinDA Tienda sa Cordillera is a joint project of the Mindanao Development Authority and the City Government of Baguio.

COTABATO CITY, Philippines â€" Leaders of the Moro National Liberation Front reinstalled Muslimin Sema as chairman of their central committee, replacing Yusop Jikiri, who died of cancer last month.

In a statement Saturday, the MNLF’s central committee said Sema, a Maguindanaon who had served as mayor of Cotabato City for three consecutive terms, was unanimously chosen by top front members to replace Jikiri, a Tausug.

Labor Minister Romeo Sema of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, who is also MNLF’s vice chairman for political affairs, confirmed this to reporters on Sunday.

Sema was named successor of Jikiri during a meeting of MNLF leaders from across Mindanao last November 11 in a function facility in Datu Odin Sinsuat town in Maguindanao, near Camp Gonzalo Siongco, where the headquarters of the Army's 6th Infantry Division in located.

Sema was a key negotiator during the crafting of the September 2, 1996 government-MNLF peace agreement.

Sema was also part of the MNLF bloc that initiated, along with Malacañang and the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation, or OIC, of the contentious provisions of the group’s final peace pact with the government that both sides have had misunderstandings over compliance lapses.

The final peace pact between the government and the MNLF was brokered by the OIC, a group of more than 50 Muslim nations, including wealthy petroleum exporting states in the Middle East and North Africa.

In its statement, copies of which were distributed to media outfits in central Mindanao, the MNLF committed again to support Malacañang’s southern Mindanao peace process and assured to continue patronizing its final peace accord with Malacañang.

"We also assure of our dedication to work, along with the Moro Islamic Liberation Front, in the spirit of convergence and collaboration, in establishing a genuine, lasting peace in the Bangsamoro homeland,” the statement pointed out.

The MNLF said it is steadfast in its conviction that only by peaceful efforts can the Mindanao Moro issue hounding the Philippines since the late 1960s be solved to the benefit of all sectors in the Southern Philippine regions.

When we talk about water and floods, there is a particular indigenous community here in the Philippines that we can learn so much from.

The Manobo Tribe of the Agusan Marsh Wildlife Sanctuary Protected Area Management Office in Mindanao, literally lives and thrives in the middle of a lake and a flood basin with an ingenious design that adapts to the rise and fall of water. Most towns and cities in the Philippines, including Marikina, Bulacan, and Manila, are all found in flood basins and intertidal/coastal wetlands, respectively. It’s unfortunate that the Manobo Tribe does have an unjust share of problems because of the climate crisis, where prolonged droughts and drainage of water for palm oil plantations are heavily affecting the flow of water, that have caused subsequent algal blooms resulting to harder fish catch and inconvenient passage to tend to their needs. But what’s so amazing about this community, is how they efficiently manage to both respect, learn, and coexist from the changing flooded environment they are in, that even after the onslaught of Super Typhoon Pablo in 2012, that caused significant rainfall enough to make the water rise by 10-15 meters, their floating houses still holds on today. They tie the appended wooden rafts underneath their houses to the ‘bangkal’ trees that naturally grow in the lake that keeps their houses from being washed away by the strong currents and for keeping their whole houses intact and dry. They get their electricity from solar panels installed on their rooftops since major powerlines are hard to reach in the middle of a lake. The surrounding local communities near the Agusan River such as Talacogon, who prefer more contemporary structural designs, built their houses and schools on standing stilts high enough so that no amount of predictable flood will cause any significant damage to their community equipped with wooden canoes locally known as “barotos” and other boats. Plus whats amazing to note about the Agusan Marshlands, that despite it being the largest inland wetland in the Philippines and a biodiversity hotspot, is how it carries all the water coming down from the mountain ranges of Caraga and some parts in Compostella region, so that no devastating floods will occur when it drains downstream to coastal communities like Butuan City.

The recent flooding disaster in Cagayan, was brought by the great outflow of water coming from Magat Dam exacerbated by the lack of government-community based response, and negligence to understand the hydraulics and dynamics of floodplains and wetlands amid the changing climate. We allow the construction of houses and buildings on wetlands. We destroy the natural barriers of Luzon such as the Sierra Madre and Candaba Wetlands of Pampanga without simultaneously managing to create engineering mitigation solutions such as water catchment systems and tanks enough to carry all the outflow from our dams. So this is what we get. And NOW, all that water has to go somewhere! And it will continue to flow down flooding all the other provinces where the natural-water catchment systems like Candaba Swamp have already been degraded and destroyed, leaving more and more cities submerged in its path.

The point isâ€" everything is interconnected. We divide rivers, wetlands, and mountains with varying degrees of governance. Some exploit them, some protect themâ€" but ultimately it is one Cagayan River, one Sierra Madre, and one Agusan Marshlands that all play an important role to the life, death, and development of the Filipino People may it be indigenous or metropolitan. We are a nation shaped by mountains and oceans with cities built on wetlands, and if we don’t learn how to use this TO our advantage and not just FOR our advantageâ€" we will ultimately be subdued in water and flames taking away billions worth of damage, and many more lives that can never remain the same again.

PAF C295 Aircraft Airlifts WASAR Team to Cagayan

Today, the C295 flew to Cagayan to airlift Water Search and Rescue (WASAR) Team to help in the rescue operation of our countrymen affected by #UlyssesPH in the province. This airlift mission is part of the continuous Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief operation of the Philippine Air Force with other government and non government agencies.

It is indeed a difficult time for all of us - COVID19, typhoons Rolly and Ulysses, internal conflicts, territorial security and a lot more. In this trying time, know that in full force, our government, your Airlifters is doing its best to respond ANYTIME... ANYWHERE!

The bayanihan spirit is alive in the House of Representatives as its officials and employees, led by Secretary General Jocelia Bighani Sipin, participate in the relief operations initiated by Speaker Lord Allan Velasco to bring aid to the victims of Typhoon Ulysses.

The volunteers from the Secretariat and Congressional staff are preparing relief goods which the House will efficiently deliver to communities affected by the typhoon.

Earlier, Speaker Velasco also spearheaded a fund drive for the victims of Typhoons Quinta and Rolly, with House Members pledging monetary donations and even their salaries for November. With this, the House was able to raise cash donations, aside from the non-perishable items that were dropped in “Mula sa Kongreso para sa Pilipino” donation boxes set-up in various locations in the House Complex. #18thCongress

Anim na Irrigators Association sa bayan ng Mlang nabiyayaan ng Rice Threshers

Pormal ng tinanggap ni Gov. Nancy Catamco ang anim (6) na rice threshers na nagmula sa DA RFO 12.  Kabilang ito sa kanilang commitment na makipagtulungan sa tanggapan ng Gobernadora upang mabigyang ayuda ang mga magsasaka ng palay na nalugi dahil sa napakababang presyo ng bilihan.

Ngayong araw ay nagbigay ng anim na rice threshers sa para sa anim na Irrigators association ng Mlang. Ito ay ang, BNBL irrigators associstion, Bagontapay, Mlaris Div. A (BIMADU) Bialong, MlarisDiv. B (LIDANAMA) Lika, BL IA Buayan, DLS IA Langkong at Sitio Baneza Communal IA New Barbasa Mlang. Abot sa 780,000 ang kabuuang halaga ng anim na farm equipment.

Pinasalamatan ni Gov. Nancy Catamco ang DA 12 sa pamumuno ni Regional Director Arlan Mangelen at  DA12 AMAD Chief Esmael Intao, sa anim na thresher.  Kanyang sinabi na ang Probinsya at DA 12 ay magkatuwang sa pagbibigay ng mga programa para sa pagpapaunlad ng kabuhayan nga mga magsasaka.

Nag-iwan din ng hamon ang Gobernadora na alagaan at maging good steward ang mga benepisyaryo sa mga proyekto at programa ng gobyerno. Dagdag pa nito na "ang magsasaka sana ay maging maagap sa pagtugon sa mga pagbabago na nagaganap lalong lalo na sa mga hamon ng buhay at pagsasaka."

Kasama ng Gobernador sa aktibidad si BM Ma. Kristal Piñol-Solis, Dr. Sustines Balanag, mga kawani ng  Amas Research and Experimental Station ( AMRES)  at mga kawani ng OPAG.

From the FB Page of Tacurong Mayor Montilla: Better opportunities now await 16-year old Ara Jane of Tacurong City as she has undergone a successful orthopedic surgery from the Tebow CURE Hospital in Davao City.

Ara Jane was one of the 14 children with disabilities who were assisted by the local government of Tacurong City (LGU Tacurong), through the City Social Welfare and Development Office, to qualify for a free surgery from CURE Hospital.

In July, she went under the knife to correct her orthopedic disability and stayed thereat for three months for rehabilitation.

LGU Tacurong is currently on the lookout for sponsors for Ara Jane's continuous therapy to better ensure her fast recovery.

The Tebow Cure Hospital is a project of CURE International in partnership with Tim Tebow Foundation.

Founded by popular American professional athlete Tim Tebow, the Foundation is dedicated to helping people with special needs.
