Philippine Daily News / Puro Gawas, Walay Sulod
October 11, 2009, 01:16:24 AM
by: Michael Ligalig

Dihay akong silingan nga bag-o ra namatyan ug bana.

Mao man niy sayop natong mga Pinoy.

Pahimangno kini.

Ang pagpamalit ug maayong pagkaon maayo ba nga investment? Of course. Investment ang “good food.” Investment ang “good education.” Mga priority ni. Big house, shiny cars, investment ba?

Personal Epiphany:

The Lord God is kind.
Glorious in His works,
Glorious in His messages.

Nothing happens by mere chance,
for all things appropriates itself
to follow His Divine Plan.

I must learn to love just to love.
In fact, I have learned to do just that.
Love and fear not of getting hurt.
Live life without regrets.

Things happen for a reason.
Feelings are meant to be felt.

This woman, like all things that have come across my way,
is a gift of God.

A gift for personal growth,
and emotional rationality and spiritual stability.
She came to my life for a reason.
For a reason.

To think,
in the end,
the many nights I have tested,
hours spent in the hospital
nothing phased me.
By God's Grace.

And in the end,
I am tantalized by a woman.
ha,

How simple,
Yet truly,
utterly true.

For woman was but a rib of man.
Man and woman belong to each other.
It explains these feelings.
Words cannot even begin to suffice and explain.

The Lord is quite Wondrous.

he he he

What are the odds,
of a man like myself--a complex man,
crosses paths with a woman who
complements my persona?

Who understands me,
sees right through me,
I have not felt this way.
I feel naked with her.
Open.
Like book.

She, uncannily, is truly my other half.
As I do believe
we all have 'other halves'.

Sometimes we meet them
sometimes we cross their paths by just a moment.
We may never have the chance to know them,
kiss them,
love them,
open ourselves to them.

Yes. that is the truth.
But, I, have met my own.
Providence alone knows why this happened.
She came to my life, when I least expected it.

I know that things do happen for a reason.
And I interpret this as a present from God to me.
And I must--tread slowly and cautiously.
For right now---my heart is exposed.
My entire defenses have been torn asunder.
I am, right now, very vulnerable.

This woman.
Has exposed me.
My heart.
This is unlike me.

Poems and Poets / Justification of Patience
October 10, 2009, 11:22:27 PM
Darling,

My feelings for you is like a raging whirlwind.
I must contain it, for it is extreme.
My compassion and sensual yearning is deep and absolute.
I must control and maintain composure.

My emotional nature has been revealed, though limited in scope.
I must take into consideration your studies,
as well as my own path and direction.

It is evident,
to you and I that we connect on so many levels.
Our peculiarities, perplexities and complexities compliment each other.
You start your first term
I finish my 2nd year.

These feelings and urges that I have--are shared.
You have the same feelings as I do--I know it.
My body next to yours,
Your face on mine,
it is evident.

But I must maintain composure and I do have a reluctance.
Darling, it is not you, but it is me.
For I have built a wall so high, that the notion of relationship
right now, that is, is and cannot be fathomed.

I have expectations. My goal is my priority.
And yours must be as well.
I shall not be selfish and limit you.
That is why I offer you that offer.

So.
It is with a full and open heart that I say this.
I wrote this in a letter
And I need to vent it here.
If you find this page.
Then so be it.
It is meant.

Darling, my sweet darling.
I will not forgoe and toss away what we have.
For we have something that is deep.
Intense.
You and I.
We both are intense.

You a Libra. And I a Leo.

I am willing.
Yes.
I am willing to box everything right now
Put it on the shelf,
and if Providence makes it possible--
perhaps when I am in my rotations--a year from now
and you--when you are finished basic science,
we can continue what we left off.

We both have to be rational.
We must think about our future,
our families
our personal duties
our professional calling.

We must think with our mind
and heart,
not on heart alone.

Clarity, darling.
We--you--I--must have clarity.

I love you.
I cherish you.
That will not change.
But we must not let these feelings get the best of us.

In the letter I write to you.
I wish to court you.
With all my heart.
And I shall.

I am willing---to wait---patiently
for you.
If you but accept my offer--
I shall wait for you until your heart accepts it.
To the ends of the earth--I shall follow.

And even if you cannot accept--or if you change your mind,
in the future,
know that I will accept your decision with an open heart
and a clear mind.
Despite personal prejudices.
I shall rule my emotions, as I have always done.
Christ strengthen me on the way, I pray.

Darling my darling,
we must be patient and wait.
If we can make through this,
we can make through anything.
Any ordeal
that comes across us.

Know that I will wait for you.
For my love and concern and interest for you
is LONG-TERM.

I have given you my heart.
It is yours to do with what you may.
Pray I ask, darling, be gentle.

A Love Most Pure,
Albrando

It's amazing
How you can speak
Right to my heart
Without saying a word,
You can light up the dark
Try as I may
I could never explain
What I hear when
You don't say a thing

[CHORUS:]
The smile on your face
Lets me know
That you need me
There's a truth
In your eyes
Saying you'll never leave me
The touch of your hand says
You'll catch me
Whenever I fall
You say it best
When you say
Nothing at all

All day long
I can hear people
Talking out loud
But when you hold me near
You drown out the crowd
(The crowd)
Try as they may
They could never define
What's been said
Between your
Heart and mine

[Repeat chorus twice]

(You say it best
When you say
Nothing at all
You say it best
When you say
Nothing at all)

The smile on your face
The truth in your eyes
The touch of your hand
Let's me know
That you need me

[Repeat chorus]

(You say it best
When you say
Nothing at all
You say it best
When you say
Nothing at all)

The smile on your face
The truth in your eyes
The touch of your hand
Let's me know
That you need me

(You say it best
When you say
Nothing at all
You say it best
When you say
Nothing at all)

Poems and Poets / On Distance

Walls are meant to be broken
Streams are meant to be trodden
Roads are meant to be taken

Hearts are meant to be emotional
Mouths are meant to say
Minds are meant to think

Distance is nothing
Distance makes the heart fonder
Distance has nothing on me.
Distance has nothing on you.

Attentive, understanding of my feelings. And at the same time, direct. Blunt.

Poems and Poets / An Open Heart

sung and written by: A. L. L

I have succumbed
to you.

This feeling has taken me
in rapture.

The gates to my heart,
are open.

The walls are crumbling.

My breastplate, my armour, have rusted away.

For you have torn them asunder.

With the power of your smile,
your laughter,
your voice,
your touch,
your personality,
your internal beauty,
your external beauty.
You.
Everything that you are.

So I will not be closed,
I will take this risk.
I will let you in.

For when I talk to you,
see you,
around you,
I am: an Open Heart.

What do people fear most? At the top of the list is death, the fear of which is necrophobia. Second, apparently, is the fear of failure, which is called kakorrhaphiophobia. There is of course a story of how fears developed, like fear for the number 13. The fear of Friday the 13th is called paraskavedekatriaphobia.

My number one fear is the Fear of God.

We must all Fear and Love the Lord Our God.

For He who has the power to grant prayers, also has the power to take away.

He gives and He takes away.

I fear my God.
And I love my God.

The bible also says to beware of wolves in sheeps clothing.
To be aware of the wicked, who curse behind people.

I think it is safe for us, to rely on the Word of God and Wisdom of God
to make the right and appropriate decisions when dealing with this circumstance.

She understands my silence and sees through my stares. How deep is my cares through my eyes. Rare it is for a man like myself to find a woman, to cross paths with a woman who understands me, and sees through me. It is quite scary at first, to be literally and figuratively exposed. But, in due time, one is acclimated. One likes it. I like it. he he he.

I can sit for hours looking at a woman. My eyes affixed to her eyes. That is the way I am. Very intense.

But this woman, stares back. he he he.

I cannot help but smile. As she said to me, "You're a keeper, Al."

My face turned red. Even my beard could not hide my red cheeks.

Very true, ma'am. Life is, indeed, a blessing. Everyday we have life, everyday we should give thanks to The Lord who  bestows upon us His Good Graces.

Life. In the end. Is a gift. To do with it--is our decision. Free will.

As the Lord God said to us:
Deuteronomy 30:19, "I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. So choose life in order that you may live, you and your descendants."

Life.

To be in love.
To Love
To be loved in return.

Life.
To wake up with a woman's arms around my chest, despite me be hairy. ;D

Life.
To put my head on her legs, and have her hands glide through my hair, carress my head with her touch.

Life.
To feel her fingers rub around my lips.
Close my eyes. And kiss me. Indescribable.

Life.
To have her caress my body and sensual kisses,
I return the favor. Pleasure.

Life.
To write her letters everyday. Passion in pen.

Life.
To receive her reaction upon reading my thoughts, the next day.

Life.
To be crazy for a woman.
And to find out she is crazy for you in return.

I love the feeling.
The emotional feeling. It compliments one's academic/professional drive.

Heart of My Heart,

Around you, on you, with you, beside you, I am always on fire.
Your kisses are soft--like mine.
Who taught you how to kiss?
How is it that you can keep up with me?

I did not want to let you go, my body molded with yours.
Then I was awakened by the sun.
And the spank of your hand on my gluteus maximus.

Darling,
I want
to
kiss
you
more

kiss
me
soon

and all,

Don’t focus on what you loss.

Instead, focus on two things: look at what you still have and look at the new things that God will give you.

And be grateful.

Mike Laurence, I say AMEN to that statement. We are given challenges and rocky roads in life because these predicaments test our faith and our deliberations, which are observed tongue and foot by the Lord Our God.
It reminds us of the challenges and struggles of the Prophet Job, and God's Faithfullness.

The Love of God surpasses all limitations and description.
His is Love Unchangeable. A Love that sees through the depths of our hearts.
And, yet, Still Loves Us, thesame.

Lisud jud tugkaron ning mga ing-ani nga pagtuo, but take for example ni:

Sa dihang mga gagmay pa ta mamugos jud ta sa atong nanay nga atong kuhaon ang kutsilyo kay magduwa ta, pero ang atong Nanay dili mosugot. Ngano man?

The great Lord has plans for us better than what we plan for ourselves. When we fail, let us just pray. Let us offer our lives into His plans for our Lives.

Makita ni nato diria (the whole chapter 4 of Jonah) and the Gospel for today (October 8, 2009):

Jonah 4
Jonah's Anger at the Lord 's Compassion
1 But Jonah was greatly displeased and became angry. 2 He prayed to the LORD, "O LORD, is this not what I said when I was still at home? That is why I was so quick to flee to Tarshish. I knew that you are a gracious and compassionate God, slow to anger and abounding in love, a God who relents from sending calamity. 3 Now, O LORD, take away my life, for it is better for me to die than to live."
4 But the LORD replied, "Have you any right to be angry?"

5 Jonah went out and sat down at a place east of the city. There he made himself a shelter, sat in its shade and waited to see what would happen to the city. 6 Then the LORD God provided a vine and made it grow up over Jonah to give shade for his head to ease his discomfort, and Jonah was very happy about the vine. 7 But at dawn the next day God provided a worm, which chewed the vine so that it withered. 8 When the sun rose, God provided a scorching east wind, and the sun blazed on Jonah's head so that he grew faint. He wanted to die, and said, "It would be better for me to die than to live."

9 But God said to Jonah, "Do you have a right to be angry about the vine?"
"I do," he said. "I am angry enough to die."

10 But the LORD said, "You have been concerned about this vine, though you did not tend it or make it grow. It sprang up overnight and died overnight. 11 But Nineveh has more than a hundred and twenty thousand people who cannot tell their right hand from their left, and many cattle as well. Should I not be concerned about that great city?"

Luke 11:5-13
5 And he said to them, “Suppose one of you has a friend to whom he goes at midnight and says, ‘Friend, lend me three loaves of bread, 6 for a friend of mine has arrived at my house from a journey and I have nothing to offer him,’ 7 and he says in reply from within, ‘Do not bother me; the door has already been locked and my children and I are already in bed. I cannot get up to give you anything.’ 8 I tell you, if he does not get up to give him the loaves because of their friendship, he will get up to give him whatever he needs because of his persistence. 9 “And I tell you, ask and you will receive; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks, receives; and the one who seeks, finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. 11 What father among you would hand his son a snake when he asks for a fish? 12 Or hand him a scorpion when he asks for an egg? 13 If you then, who are wicked, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the Father in heaven give the holy Spirit to those who ask him?”

Powerful and True. Amen, Amen. Amen to the Lord God.

Beautiful thread, Vince.

There is a songbird that I know of,
in the island of blue,
some where distant in this desert isle a few,

Silent, radiant, eloquent, deep in reverie.
I am but an observer,
frequent I do have the chance,
to chirp with the song bird.

Delicate,
is this songbird, dare I not impede,
yet am shaken in internal discourse to gaze upon this avian beauty.
For you see,
it really is quite rare,
quiet,
deep,
and spontaneous in action
that I dare not keep in wait.

She lays perched in her tree,
protected,
wings spread and chirping
and I on my feet.

Pray I ask take a glimpse,
you silly songbird, you.
Eloquent in silence,
thoust has taken in rapture.

I shall wait.
Patiently.
For this songbird,
has
is
will
be
my inspiration.

Sojourn: Thousand Steps 10/9/2009

The day broke in silent reverie,
the red rising sun, in its complete spleandor,
and I in my awe.

Awoke to brief slumber, under the nonchalance of cool breeze,
Awokened to new-found motivation,
I smile,

It is time to explore the gifts and supplants of this isle.
I trek.

15 miles I trek
With good company,
I took everything in, the setting, the conversation,
the ecological fauna of this isle.

Delectations
The beauty of the day
The inspirations of the day
One cannot help but smile

Oh only if the songbird chirped today.

Let that be known.

No woman was able to catch up with me,
No woman was able to understand me,
Or percieve deep into my soul,
Some were able to put their hands on the doorknobs of the door into my soul,
but lacking in strength and resolve to turn the knob and enter the door.

Many women have come to my life.
Many of them with interests similar to mine, different, fork on the road experiences.
Many were in for the short term, many limited in experiences to hand me.
Some were dissauded by my intensity,
Some tell me to "lower" the intensity.

I cannot.
For lowering would be the antithesis of my persona.
I am who I am.
I am what I say
I am what I do
I am what I study
I am what my passion dictates
I am me
There is no other
There is none like me.

But you.
You are different.
You, are intense, yourself.
You are able to, God only knows why, see through me.
Analyze me. Dead on.
How is it possible.
You finish my sentences.
You think---like me.
We are so alike, and I boggles my mind, Stacy.

How is it that we are so alike?
I don't care.
I like it.

You can do what many women have failed in the past.
That is: Keep up with me. :)

Can you keep up with me?
Can you really?
Come, then, follow me.
Keep up with The Lucino. :)

I shall wait.

Went out for a 15 mile hike to the mountains today. left at 9am and came back at 2pm. Wow.
Talk about great view.

:)

I feel uplifted. The Holy Spirit touched me again as I walked by myself today.
Why is it that one can feel His spirit in silence and in quiet moments.

I prayed the Our Father and I felt His spirit touch me.
The wind hit my face, but soothed it.
A cool breeze.

My Heavenly Father embraced me....:)

I in you
You in me
Is it possible to be at peace?
Is it possible to be at home with another?

Darling,
When I am with you,
when I talk to you,
When I am near you,
I feel so at home with you.

The ambiance of your company,
the sound of your laugh,
Invites me to open up.
Loosened up
I cannot help to release my inhibitions.

I am free-at-home

I
Am

I like You.

My love always tells me, "You're 24 years old, but you have a mind like an older man."

Then I chide with a smirk, "But I have urges like no other."

On a serious note, one thing I learned from Tubag Bohol, as in life in general, is that we need to be balanced. Serious when we have to be, kidding when we can, laugh when we can. But in the end, stick to your guns.

Looked at bed ulcers/pressure ulcers all day. Interesting.

Lesson for the day:
As physician-students, we must be observant on patient situation and order the nurses to dry patients, order PT/OT assessment on patient. And not be afraid to give orders. Be firm. Be direct.

Our clinical director's message to us: "You are a physician-surgeon in training. Yours is the responsibility of the patient. Yours is the responsibility of patient health and outcome. With that responsibility comes with power and authority. Yours is the power to order the nurse, physical therapist, radiology techs, administrators etc. Be not afraid to make orders. Grow thick skin."

Another favorite biblical figure is Sarah and Tobit, in the Book of Tobit (found in Old Testament).

The story of Tobit, Tobias, Sarah and the Angel Raphael illustrates God's faithfullness.

This particular prayer is illustrative of how a couple should be towards each other and how their faith in God for deliverance and provision. Powerful.

:

Blessed are you, O God of our fathers; praised be your name forever and ever. Let the heavens and all your creation praise you forever. You made Adam and you gave him his wife Eve to be his help and support; and from these two the human race descended. You said, 'It is not good for the man to be alone; let us make him a partner like himself.' Now, Lord, you know that I take this wife of mine not because of lust, but for a noble purpose. Call down your mercy on me and on her, and allow us to live together to a happy old age."

October 08, 2009, 06:34:58 AM
In the darkness of night,
called and instilled with the Spirit of God,
I drive to the Basilica,
As I open the doors of the Church,
empty.

The candles and incense lit before the Tabernacle,
The Blessed Word Made Flesh,
Set before me
Receives me.

In the deadness of night,
My Lord who Lives in the Blessed Eucharist
In His Risen Glory,
Prepared to offer sacrifice,
For the salvation of my sin
for our sins
for our eternal salvation.

In silence,
In privacy,
clothed with the empty dark of the night,
the light of Christ shines forth.
The Holy Tabernacle holding His Blessed Bread and Body.

I kneel,
And His spirit covers me,
powerful
Powerful
Indescribable
Unchangeable
Uncomparable feeling.

In silence I come
In silence He comforts me
In silence He covers me
In silence He empowers me
In silence He moves me

Who else can compare?
To your righteous Grace, Lord?
Who can boast such authority--you who created the very stars,
the very moons,
you who taught the sun to shine
you who directs thunderbolts to its destination
you who commands the bud to bloom after winter's cold slumber?
you who commands kings, paupers, men and women to birth and to death?
you WHO WAS WHO IS AND WHO WILL ALWAYS BE.

My Eternal One Living God.
NO ONE CAN COMPARE TO YOU.

My lips are unworthy,
to proclaim your praise.
But I proclaim Glory, Honor, Praise to your Name. Nonetheless.
For my soul--that you gave me--declares it so.

For you are my...BEAUTIFUL JESUS...MY ALL IN ALL. :)

You say hello,
I say what's up.

You say my day was bad,
I say, keep on smiling chummy chum chum.

You say I need to get something to drink, wanna come?
I say, for sure, lets go get some punch.

You say I'm really tired, this formalyn is getting to my nose.
I say, I know right? Sure, ill walk you home.

You say, Al im missing you and you're not even gone yet.
I say, "what did you say?"

You say, we meet people for a reason, a purpose.
I say nothing. I smile.

You say, many things, many rhymes, many phrases.
I say nothing. I am drinking your entire expression.

Then at the end of the day, I walk you home to your door, hug, good night.
As you close your door, I silently whisper: I love you, my dear, little rose.

October 07, 2009, 09:36:53 PM
Gener, this is a really powerfully written piece. I raise my cup of coffee to your personal experience involving the mercy of The Lord. It is impossible, sometimes, for us to interpret the actions of the Lord, as it is written that the Lord said to us, "For as long as the heavens are above the earth, my thoughts are not your thoughts and my ways are not your ways." It tells us that we can never truly understand the actions and the beneficence of the Lord, only interpret what we are able to given the limited understanding we have of His ways. But it should be relegated that all things accords itself to His purpose and Divine Plan. Which in the scheme of things, maintains stance throughout Salvation History. Until the end of the world.

His presence and His actions tests our faith. For our Lord Our God once said, "For I have given you the choice of life and death. Choose Life."

This life, is not the mortal toil that is in this world, but reference to the Life that he offers us, a life eternal, which is in Jesus Christ Our Lord.

From whom all good things come from.

The Blessings of the Lord God be with you and your family.
And all those afflicted by this disaster.
May our faith shine through the recklessness.
May God's Grace always lighten our path.

In His Name,
Lorenzo

My spiritual strength:

Hearing stories from good samaritans. Hearing the stories of Ate Ging feeding the poor, doing food drives, attending masses for the recently departed, nursing home volunteering etc.

It reminds me that there are, indeed, many good people out there that still show the epitome of a 'Good Samaritan'.

Other is hearing Fr. Ranulfo's sermons on Saturday Mass. Ma rejuvinated ko and ma-inspired pood ko for the upcoming week.

That perhaps the calling of Priesthood was not for me, but I have entertained the concept of Deaconhood. I shall talk more about this with my spiritual director, Fr. Mark Hoffman.

I have one question Enz... minyo ba tong mga apostoles? Of course the answer is a big YES, except for John. Unya, just because they left everything and their families, wa na magpasabot nga ge-erase/ge-annul sa Ginoo ang ilang kaminyoon. Maybe we can look at it as if the disciples were making that great big sacrifice in leaving their families and join Christ's group to do missions to the known world... wa man to sila mo apply og divorce tawon o e annul ilang kaminyoon. So, there you are, the Holy Apostles were all married people and they were even the first bishops of the Church. Dugay pod to silang lalis atong panahona sa Batasang Pambansa hehehe, basin nakaingon pod tag overnight decision ra pod to. Those were real issues in real time. So, Enz, I don't think you can bank on Apostolic Tradition as basis on celibacy issues because it never were.

Of course, we are called to uphold the laws of the Church... and I don't disagree on that. That particular law was in placed even before I became a priest, so I had my choice... and I chose freely and willingly to travel that road.

Road less traveled man daw kini, so at the start of the journey wa pod mi kahibaw o ma suheto unsa nga klase nga karsada kini... aspalto ba ni o concrete, lapok ba o daghang libaong, tul-id ba o likoon. After 25 years, medyo na suheto-suheto napod. But I can't tell you how many times nanga-dam-ag ang mga niagi ani. Like in some Biblical stories of old, there were stories, too, about travelers being ambushed along the way. Dihay uban nakakita apan wala motabang; apan dinha say mga Good Samaritans who extended themselves to lend a helping hand... which makes the journey a little worthwhile maski lisod.

So pray for your priests as they pray for all people too. Naay panahon nga silay madam-ag, naa poy panahon nga kita. Kristiyanismo man kaha atong gesunod nga dalan, aw, maningkamot god pod ta nga Kristiyano pod atong binuhatan og pamuyo.

Well put, Fr. Though I must infer that Apostolic Tradition is the very foundation of the the enactments of the church, just from my own personal research in Vatican promulgations. St. Paul the Apostle tells us:

I would that all men were even as myself; but every one hath his proper gift from God .... But I say to the unmarried and to the widows, it is good for them if they so continue, even as I.

But I would have you to be without solicitude. He that is without a wife is solicitous for the things that belong to the Lord, how he may please God. But he that is with a wife, is solicitous for the things of the world, how he may please his wife: and he is divided. And the unmarried woman and the virgin thinketh on the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and spirit. But she that is married thinketh on the things of this world how she may please her husband. And this I speak for your profit, not to cast a snare upon you, but for that which is decent and which may give you power to attend upon the Lord without impediment.
(1 Corinthians 7:7-8 and 32-35)

----

In regards to the Apostles, their sacrificial abandonment of wordly pursuits in order to follow the Son of Man, is exemplary of the lives of priests. It is the pretext, you can say, the primordial basis of celibacy that is accepted in the Catholic Church, to this day, as is reiterated in the Sacrament of Orders.

"You ought anxiously to consider again and again what sort of a burden this is which you are taking upon you of your own accord. Up to this you are free. You may still, if you choose, turn to the aims and desires of the world (licet vobis pro artitrio ad caecularia vota transire). But if you receive this order (of the subdiaconate) it will no longer be lawful to turn back from your purpose. You will be required to continue in the service of God, and with His assistance to observe chastity and to be bound for ever in the ministrations of the Altar, to serve who is to reign."
(Bishopric message in the sacrament of orders on chastity).

Thank  you for your deep message, Father.
I humbly accept it as wisdom you share with all of us, myself included.

Yours In Christ,
Lorenzo

No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

14And the Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all these things: and they derided him.

15And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.

16The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.

17And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail.

You're a good man, Enz and a good defender of the Catholic faith! I salute you for that. Dogma-wise (doctrines ba) most of the church's teaching tinuod is immutable (permanent, cannot be changed) because they're based on natural law. Pero duna say mga gitawag ug human precepts (man made/enacted laws) that could change in time or with leadership or because of updated developments (di jud nuon ni madali-dali). I just hope you know how to distinguish between the two of them because they are a world apart as well as they're implications! Remember the words of Jesus on these (but I don't want to get into details): "Laws are made for man, not man made for the law." And on another ocassion he said (woe-ing the experts of the law?): "You forced people to follow the traditions of your elders as well as the laws... but you yourselves don't even lift a fingers to help these little ones?" (Paraphrased na lang kay hingkalimtanon nako)

Father, your words are too much to describe me, in all reality, am but a simple servant of the Lord Jesus Christ who is ever-present in the Blessed Eucharist. :)

We must be the defenders of faith, to uphold the laws and the affirmations of the Holy One Roman Catholic Church. The Holy Mother The Church is Infallable. For it was said by The Lord Jesus Christ, "Even the gates of hell cannot overcome her (referring to the Church, in which was placed on Simon Peter (Cephas/ 'The Rock')."

The Church, In One, which is the Body of Christ in Earth, can do no wrong. Certain members of the church, which fall into sway to sin and temptations and the corruption of power, but the Church is remained pure and innocent, perfected in the Body and Blood of Christ Jesus--the RISEN LORD. :)

The Holy Priests are Christ-Like.
So just as Jesus Christ the Lord God Made Flesh,
The Eternal Word On High,
EMANUEL "GOD AMONG US",
never married, nor had he lay in bed with a woman,
so, too, shall a priest of Christ, who breaks the bread/body of the Lord, remain unmarried.

-----

The LORD Jesus Christ was the 'fisher of men',
he called His apostles from amongst the Jordan, and the sea in Gallilee,
they were all professionals in their lives,
Peter--being fisherman and married,James--a fisherman, John--a fisherman, Matthew--a tax collector, Paul--a pharisee, etc, --

As you can see, all the apostles had a living before they were called by the Lord Jesus Christ.
And when they were called, they all left everything that the owned, and had. Their wives, children, professions, worldly passions. In return, became the followers of the SON OF MAN. :)
The WORD MADE FLESH.

----

The Apostles are perfect examples.
then again, hence we have the APOSTOLIC TRADITION.
The Holy One Apostolic Roman Catholic Church.

God Bless!

Blessed Santo Nino de Cebu,
the Child Jesus---who is most compassionate,
Hear our Prayers.

Jesus Lord, be merciful to the souls of the departed, whom you've taken away,
Grant them peace and a content soul.

Lord Grant them peace and consolation. To their families.
May the cries of the afflicted be heard.

Blessed Santo Nino de Cebu,
Holy Infant Jesus...the Word made Flesh.
Hear our Prayer.

We ask this, in your name, LORD.
Amen.

Then after the relationship gets older, ang sangpotan ra daw, "buwag, buwag, buwag." Of kors, kabuang ra tong iya sa akong cuzin but hard realities tell us nga daghan jud hinoon nga ingon ani gipangdangatan. It's sad but it's true.

Ad lib ra baya ni... not to be taken seriously, hehehe  ;D

Fr, your posts are so filled with glee and passive discourse--which is delectably pleasing when I read it. Yours is a soul of warmth and in colloquial diction, "finding da goods of da situation, broda-man!" he he he he.

What I would do to attend one of your masses, if only logistics wasn't such a constraint.

A brother in Christ,

I, a man who was called to the priesthood, but in my own sin and my own personal iniquities (to which God alone knows and judges) has made it impossible for me to join the priesthood. I love my God and Redeemer, but am weak in the sense. Romans 3:23 declares it.

Instead of asking why can't men like myself who Love my God and love to preach the Good news, and still be priests and get married, I and other men who have been given the call of discernment realize the BEAUTY of that calling--the priesthood. We realize that we are not meant to be priests, because it does take alot to be a priest. It is very hard, spiritually, and physically.
Pray for our priests. Pray for them when they are lonely. Pray for them when they are tempted, pray for them when they are attacked, pray for them when they sin. Pray for them to continue to speak the BLESSED WORD, to which GOD HIMSELF called them by name.... :)

It takes alot of strength to truly answer the priesthood.
That is why I respect seminarians, priests, brothers, sisters, mothers.
For it takes alot to make that choice and decision.

Many are called,
but few can answer the call.
:)

GOD BLESS OUR PRIESTS.

For me lang, i think it is simply disgusting when people even think about having relations with priests.
For me lang, ma luod ko when I hear or read something to that extent. Disgusting.

A priest is a man of God. Blessed with holy oils, and entrenched in the rite of priesthood.
The man has prostrated himself before the Holy Tabernacle, and has been touched by the Laying of Hands, an ancient tradition that stems back to the Apostolic Tradition.

The sin of adultery is a serious sin. It is a Mortal Sin, that is punishable with eternal damnation, unless appropriate penitance is made, as my priest has told me. What is far more detestable are women who elope with priests.

Beware, firsts out there, seminarians, of women who lure you to sin, to lay bed with them.
For that is temptation of most grieviousness.

-----

A man of the cloth (brother, priest, etc) is untouchable.
For they belong to none but GOD himself.

It is simply disgusting to hear about the notion of priests and marriage.
They, the priests, have already made it their priority to give up all sensual tastes that is in married life, and non-religious life, for the sake of priesthood.

It is evident that they made that decision. That ultimate decision. God Bless them.

Lorenzo
