Here's the weirdest story you've heard all day: Justin Bieber was the target of an imprisoned man's plot to murder and then castrate the Canadian pop star and his bodyguard. The plan was reportedly so serious that two other criminals were sent out on a mission to kill Bieber, though they fortunately were caught before anything could happen to the 18-year-old.

New Mexico's KRQU News 12 has the news and reports that investigators caught the two fugitives out for Bieber last month. Mark Staake, 41, and his nephew Tanner Ruane, 23, were wanted in Albuquerque for conspiracy to commit murder in the first degree and conspiracy to commit aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. They were captured in Vermont and New York, respectively, and it has now been revealed that they were part of a different man's plan to kill Bieber. - source

Magnificent CME Erupts on the Sun with Earth to Scale

On August 31, 2012 a long filament of solar material that had been hovering in the sun's atmosphere, the corona, erupted out into space at 4:36 p.m. EDT. The coronal mass ejection, or CME, traveled at over 900 miles per second. The CME did not travel directly toward Earth, but did connect with Earth's magnetic environment, or magnetosphere, causing aurora to appear on the night of Monday, September 3.

  FACTS:  Po Lay was accused of violating Circular No. 20 of the Central Bank compelling those who had foreign currency to sell the same to the Central Bank. Po Lay alleged that as the circular had not yet been published in the  Official Gazette before he committed the act, the circular should have no effect on his act and that therefore he should be acquitted.

  HELD: Po Lay is correct for the circular has the force
of law, and should have been published. Moreover, as a rule, circulars which prescribe a penalty for their violation should be published before becoming effective. This is based on the general principle and theory that before the public is bound by its contents, especially its penal provisions, a law, regulation, or circular must first be published, and the people officially and specifically informed of said contents and the penalties for violation thereof.
