My first visit to choco hills was when I was 7.  Now its almost the same, the hotel is still there and the stairs to the top is still the same.  I thought the scene would be brown noting its summer but its really green.  Sige ulan didto (weird for summertime).  Its a good source of revenue for Bohol.  Our guide says an avg of 3000 tourists are coming daily ??? (@ Ps 50 per head) this summer.  When we're there its hot and humid that at the middle of climb, I say I can't continue.  Abot ginhawa.  Pagkita nako ani nga tourist na mga tiguang, nipadayon ko.  haha

You probably saw this before via email circulated.   For those who haven't knew this yet,  here is the question :

If you have a brand new car and you have to refill fuel in a gas station,  how would you know that the gas tank filler (abrihanan sa fuel tank) is on the RIGHT or in the LEFT side while driving without sticking your head out of the window checking which side it is?  That by knowing it would be easy to drive through and position the car near the side of the petrol hose.

Fuel tank filler/opening

The answer is in your dashboard fuel pump icon as illustrated below.

Left side filling if the icon is shown below (left photo) and right side filling if it appears in the image below (right photo).

Sige, echeck kono tinuod ba ni.  Wa may dashboard neng akong trisikad diri.   ;D

Note:  Though this is not true to some car models, majority of the cars resemble the fuel pump icon to the location of the gas tank filler.

It has been a hot topic in the media lately about obstruction of justice related to the death of Ted Failon Etong's wife.  How can an individual be charged with obstruction of justice?  How can Failon's  maid/driver be charged if they simply were not aware of the fact that by cleaning the bathroom and the car from what the police called "evidence", they were charged with obstruction of justice.

Second, when can an individual avail of the services from PAO (Public Attorney's Office).  The honorable justice secretary said Ted Failon is not an indigent and therefore he is not qualified.  Why? Is there a criteria (status, financial, etc)  for their services?  Ted asked help from Atty. Acosta (PAO) and I understand the latter responded accordingly.

Quote from: Lorenzo on April 18, 2009, 02:10:14 PM
Yes, same ra man na, Mr. Bedo.

Art of the Fist :)

We have friends who take another martial arts style, called Soo Bahk Doo (Tang Soo Do) Moo Duk kwan. Which is literally means, 'the fighting hand, fighting china hand.

Main difference is:

Tae Kwon Do (Tae Kwan Do) is an offensive-based martial arts. Its aggressive, and its moves are popular not only in the domestic students, but it is also utilized in foreign military hand to hand combat. As there are moves in Tae Kwon Do that can kill a man/woman with just one hit.

One I know is the stopping punch. It is  palmar punch to the sternum. If enough force is applied, it will break the xistoid process of the sternum, and rupture the aorta of the heart. Death by lethal blood loss.

Whereas in Soo Bahk Doo (Tang Soo Do) Moo Duk Kwan, it is a defense-based martial art technique that combines Korean indigenous fighting with some Chinese kung fu.

It is a great complement against Tae Kwon Do.

Tae Kwon Do students can go on the offensive and barrage the opponent till the opponent is weak enough to make a finishing blow.

But if the opponent is a student of Soo Bahk Do, he or she can block the attacks.

Mr. Bedo,
Did you son like his time in Tae Kwon Do? It really does help build self confidence, and also motivation. Maybe when he is a bit older, sir, you can re-enroll him again.

“The BPO sector is booming. Despite the crisis, we are still expanding,” the Indian diplomat said in an interview during the visit of Indian Navy’s largest ship, the INS Jyoti, which left the country over the weekend.

The ambassador echoed various financial analysts and said with its healthy finances, the Philippines remains a good investment site for Indian companies.

“The Philippine economy is doing well. A lot of economies are having negative growth, the Philippines is having a positive growth even with this recession,” Mitter said.

“This is the perfect time for us to get together more closely and explore more the opportunities,” he said.

Mitter said 20 Indian BPO companies continue to operate in the country even with the crisis, among them Infosys, Wipro Technologies (Western India Products Limited), and the Tata Consultancy Services Limited (TCS).

“They are all doing well. I don’t expect any downturn (in their investments),” he said. - PDI

And here is Arnel Pineda's (Journey's new front man - a filipino) US embassy experience.  You probably read  this before.

+---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Arnel Pineda's US Embassy Visa Interview

As a followup, here's a full account by "Ben", the US Embassy staffer who interviewed Arnel Pineda for his US visa before auditioning for Journey.

Months ago a band showed up at my window. It was Lemons and Oranges, or something fruity. I asked about their music; looked at their posters, CDs, etc. At the end of the interview, they were saying, “Come out and see our show tonight.” I said, “I can’t take any free tickets yada yada yada but maybe I’ll pop in.”

It was a Friday. I went with two LES. We got a table, ordered some beer, fried chicken and so on. The opening band came on. They were called “Zoo” â€" this I’m sure of, since I’m from Kalamazoo, the name stuck.

The Zoo started rocking out to 70/80s tunes. But the coup de grace was indisputably when they busted out Journey. I mean, the singer was not just goo â€" 95 percent of all Filipinos are good singers â€" he was really darn good. I couldn’t shut up about it. I was telling anyone who would listen, “Dude, not only does this guy have pipes, and range, he’s got perfect pitch. He has only missed a few notes on some of the hardest power ballads in schlock n roll history.”

The LES grudgingly agreed, but they’ve been desensitized to the regular displays of amazing karaoke you get in Manila, so maybe they were just humoring me.

The next week I was sitting at an NIV window next to an officer named Singer. Singer and I were doing FMJs and so we would trade off regular NIV applicants occasionally so that we got fair share of student visas.

I heard Singer say, “Journey? The band Journey?” He flipped through papers. He sounded unhappy.

I butted in: “What’s that all about?” He turned off his mic and looked over at me. “I don’t know. This guys says he’s going to try out for Journey.”

I was puzzled. “Journey? The band Journey?” Singer went, “That’s what I just said, [EXPLETIVE]!”

“Great, another nutjob. I’ll take it.” Singer took my student, I took the nutjob.

I looked over his stuff and said, “Purpose of travel?” and all that. I started to scrutinize more carefully and realized it was the guy I saw from the night before.

“Hey, does your band play at Bagaberde?” He confirmed and he went on to tell me the story of how he uploaded some clips of his band that he recorded to YouTube and contacted Journey’s manager, having heard they were looking for a new singer.

He said they called him up and invited him to the US to try out. Given the malarkey you get at a Manila NIV window, this story only got points for being original.

He produced some flimsy e-mails and letters, etc. So I went, in my best dubious voice, “Yeah? let’s hear Wheels in the Sky!”

He belted it out for the whole waiting room and for the staff to hear (I made sure to take off my headset and let the speaker play it because what I was really doing was covering my butt).

I said, “Look sir, there isn’t a person in this Embassy who would believe that story â€" going to try out for Journey! â€" not a soul would believe that. Except for me. I saw you sing last Friday and I couldn’t shut up about how your vocals were perfect Steve Perry. So I tell you what. I’m giving you that visa. You’re going to try out. And you’re going to make it....”

I am hoping members of Tubag Bohol can all log onto this web site this saturday April 18 and offer a moment of silence for the two back to back British Murders that happened to people who chose Bohol as a place to live and make they're home.

During this moemnt of silence this weekend I would like that we reflect on the peace and security we had here before and how can we help in making it go back to the way it was before?

Do not worry the case of Martin Willims is still being investigated as far that I am aware of.

I was able to get up the mental strength to have the pictures of Martin developed as he layed a top the morgue table.
Just looking at the places where he had been stabbed so many times makes one think that Gulle with his size is just to little to have pulled that off by himself.

Especailly with the dragging of Martin's body some 30 mitres as he left a blood trail behind.
Who is to say those involved could have set him up to be down to his breifs to cover up what was the real deal.

Martin would not swim at night especailly whith all the threats and the attempted homicides on him from the past.

Martin I am sure is not happy or at rest at the grave burreid in the ground of a country where it's people have murdered him.

The widow should honor the parents request of they're son and she should have him cremated and sent back to England.

I think she told the police she was on good terms with the inlaws so why does she not ablige?

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Among the misconceptions about Augusta National Golf Club, and there are many, is that it never changes. Nothing could be further from the truth. This place evolves with a clearly intelligent design. We saw proof of that Sunday in a highly entertaining finish to a magnificent Masters.

Perhaps Augusta National doesn't change in the way some would like, or according to the time schedule others would impose, but there may be no event in all of sports that adapts as well to climatic convulsions as the Masters. In fact, it seems to anticipate them.

All the proof you need of this compelling example of durability and malleability was splashed across the immaculate fairways on a brilliant Easter Sunday as the men in the green jackets staged one of the best editions in the 75 year history of this tradition-laden tournament. Simply and accurately put: They got it right. That couldn't always be said in recent years.

That the two-hole playoff with Chad Campbell, Kenny Perry and Angel Cabrera was won by Cabrera was almost beside the point. And how often in a major championship can you say that a sudden-death playoff was the second most-exciting thing to happen on Sunday -- if not the third?

But that was pretty much the case. What we had Sunday on an Augusta National course set up to allow scoring but punish poor shots was three distinct tournaments. There was he Tiger-Phil Show; there was Kenny Perry's determined defiance of age before crumbling at the end; and then there was the Cabrera victory in the playoff, giving him a green jacket to go with his 2007 U.S. Open trophy.

The clicking of dozens of news cameras drowned out the sobs of the 13-year-old girl, but her face explained what was happening in the departure hall of Japan's Narita International Airport.

Noriko Calderon, wearing her school uniform, was being forced to make one of the most wrenching choices of her young life: To stay in the country of her birth rather than join her parents being deported to the Philippines.

The scene was the emotional climax to a story a decade and a half in the making -- one that has tugged at heartstrings in Japan, but ultimately failed to sway to an unyielding bureaucracy that activists say violates human rights.

Easter night around 7:30 PM as said by one Ubay PNP member that a Charles Clark Maxwell age 61, divorced with British Nationality had lived in Ubay Bohol for just three months.

Maxwell was found dead with bullet holes to his body, three alleged robbery suspects.

Charles has a live in girlfreind name is Charito Delarosario aged 21 years old.

PNP members said this might be an inside job and plan to investigate the live in girlfreind as they think she may also have a motive to rob and kill her British partner.
