Some people want to complain about anything and anybody.....I have witnessed both good and bad as a volunteer at night helping out the indignant.

I know a little boy no older than 10-12 years old his mother abandoned him and his two brothers along with her husband who is jobless.

I know them personally.

The father had come to Tagbilaran By Night not once, not twice but several times desperate for any help with his sons medical condition that just kept on getting worse at time went on.

The father had no time to look for help as his son was slowly deteriorating away his life his future.... no donations from callers had come into the station. He had the usual help of Alturas, TBN VOLUNTEER CLUB Ireland, and one other private donor from Loon Town.

I had also tried to help and had brought foods and monies to the hospital of my own to help this little fellow fight for his life....I noticed his father had stopped going to the radio station....I wondered why it is that he had stopped...I had no way to contact the family for some time.....

I received news late from the family who has taken the young boys brother under their wings in Panglao that the little kid fighting for his life had passed on to the heavens. His stomach just kept on swelling inside.....he did not have the funds to help save him or keep him going on as a fighter..

During this fathers time of asking for help over TBN on DYRD he did not have any funds coming from the TBN CLUB in Tagbilaran. Some of the people on the board do not want to release funds to the program because there is no funds going into the account.

I from the get go as a member wanted to help with fund raising and I know this was the platform of our president was to also have fund raising...

This incident has already happened in province of Luzon. There was a woman who spotted a child on the ground but she did not stop she went straight to the PNP headquarters of the area.

She reported it and the police investigated this.

I had read about it in a national Philippines newspaper, maybe about a week ago.

It is pretty darn scarey when you think about even being caught up in that type of situation.

I received a notice for the TBN Club meeting around 9PM last night via text just before going to TBN program in where I also had Gerry Pabe read the text from the secretary over air but there was no time given for the meeting.

Today the first one to arrive for the meeting was Frank Apdo, then I was the second one and we chatted for a while almost one and a half hours time discussing about other clubs that we belong too together in and how they are run well. We also came to the same conclusion that the TBN club has not made any new. moves or accomplished anything.

I Of course despite my being a die hard in helping others out was present, the secretary arrived at 3PM via motor pedicab. Frank Apdo informed her that no other members have showed up....? No as I had mentioned in another thread no one shows up because of the lack of support shown to the anchorman and his wife by the secretary for things that have happened way before I was even in the picture of TBN Club.

I was told by a good friend of mine who is one of DYRD's top rated commentators to "Get out of that club as there is a woman in there who is always making trouble."The club is going no where". "It is a joke!" I with the good side of me with the good heart really hoped that things would have turned out better.
I tried my best to attend the last few meetings in a row, Also the TBN Club president was not yet in attendance for the meeting either. Our president is a good man and a very busy man same as me in where we belong to many types of clubs in where we are helping the poor here.

As expected I exchanged words with the secretary who was standing over me as I sat beside Frank Apdo and he keeps looking at her telling her to calm down. She just says to me that so many people hate me in Bohol, and she mentioned two women names who hate me are Jenny Estoqia who is a singing instructor at Herllitz and AUrora Galos who is connected to CAP College and bohol Star quest, and she went on to shout that her family are investigators....I finally had to ask the guard at JJ's to get her to sit down and get her out of my face. No matter how stern and mad I was to her knowing what she and her or she and a friend had written about me in the internet...

Just after the posting in here by Cheers I was asked by AUrora Galos via text to stop being a regular judge until furthernotice with her program. With Star Quest I had been judging the program for sometime  (4 years), and I am not surprised of receiving this text knowing how some people here behave in social cliques and thought all along that there is a connection and it was proven in the secretaries words today...

I had text to Aurora Galos who happens to be in the same college alumni of HNU as TBN secretary Aranzado is and was asking her why was i taken off from judging like a drop of the hat? There was no reply from Ms. Galos so I can put two and two together. Normally on Saturday Jenny Estoqia will text me that she is awaiting me at BQ for judging but on that weekend when Cheers's posting were just being put up in here she (Jenny) for some reason had not text to me??? (Jenny is the TBN treasurer and close friends of Elizabeth Aranzado. (picture is plain and simple here).

The two Jenny and Au2 have no reasons to be mad at me as I am not a vindictive and cunning person as they have proven to be towards me this past weeks.... Au2 by throwing me out of judging all of a sudden for the crap of the secretary of TBN and we know that jenny is close to Elizabeth as the saying goes "Birds of a same feather flock together"...mao ba! So I am sure it is high school mentality of these women to gang up on me and for what reasons? just for being voted in as a member of the TBN board? for helping out Gerry Pabe on DYRD? I see no valuable reasons to have to be treated so cruel and they say this is a hospital province? Walay Kalaro to that!

Jenny had text me on October 6, asking me why I was not a judge that past weekend? Was this a move to try to psyche me out and make me think she is concerned about me, trying to look innocent at the same time.

I had better be careful in who I call as my friends here in Bohol as it seems friends and i do mean true friends are hard to find here.... This is how I feel at this time.... I also keep just a couple of friends as I do not have the energy to spread myself thin....

Our president had chosen me we also belong in other clubs together which are media related. I and Eddie Mianit were both chosen as PRO for the TBN Club.

I am sad there was again no turn out for the club meeting today. Please take note our treasurer is a chairman judge but the secretary said that she would attend if she can get out on time??? Oh but if it is not me attending hell would break loose it would not be acceptable.....I threw it in her face it is okay for a Filipino to be absent but complain about me who has missed a few meetings due to medical missions being scheduled which is more important than judging for a two hundred peso honorarium given by Au2...

I also got a copy of a complaint letter handed to Frank by the secretary as she proudly waved it in his face and the complaint letter is to have Gerry Pabe and I thrown as as members in TBN Club...how childish is this?

I beleive this entire time I am being told Iam being stupid about things because of my friendship and help on TBN with Pabe and it makes the secretary mad as well as the treasurer. Why else would the treasurer question Pabe on how I am helping out every-night on the program?.....leave me alone and mind your own businesses everyone...you know who you are......

Several months ago a tourist van was robbed near to Danao Bohol.

One of the alleged suspects in that robbery has been shot at during a shoot out in Cebu at a loan shop located in downtown city of Cebu in where the same alleged robbers were making a hold up. The robbers had gotten away on their getaway motorcycle despite their being shot at by the local PNP in Cebu.

According to reports Teragosa was shot at on the left side of his chest this week.

It has been heard from some tourist coming here to Bohol that so called tourist guides are the ones plotting the robberies to take place as they can dispatch info to the robbers on when and where will be the location of this particular tourist.

If you do remember I was the one also spoke with Peter personally in is office when the club was first underway for the new year. I went to his office to ask and hear his reasoning as to why he feels that the group is not to hold fund raisers? I had gone to the club meetings after talking with Peter and relayed what we had discussed that is when I suggested that Peter and Gerry should come to a meeting to talk about the matter as well as the matter that one of the TBN Ireland persons had said monthly club dues instead of saying monthly donations.
I did not put it into motion as I felt I had already had plenty of motions on the floor from past get together and I allowed Donna Alonso to put the motion of inviting both the anchorman and Peter to a special meeting. She did not know how to do it I was the one saying it for her as she was repeating out loud what it was that I was saying....

Let me do some more memory jogging for you...The secretary and I asked our Vice President of the group who is Atty. Raul Barbarona on what are our legal boundaries for being able to raise money via fund raising?
According to Atty. Raul we are allowed as we are a registered non-profit through SEC.
This was the time I had told the secretary that we need to invite these people in order to let them know that it is okay to have fund raising activities instead of the info I was given by Peter that the group could not...He even went as far as telling me to have the fund raising but not using the programs name.

I was hurt for this, ashamed for me and the TBN group. and found it hard to believe? Peter is conservative and a low profile type and does not want things to ever go bad....
I think he does not like the ideal of fund raising maybe to do with a lack of trust for some? Who knows? He also mentioned I am a nice person and for me to have my own organization someday and have my own fund raising going on for my own group....

Then we had invitations to get out to members in the group for the meeting together with Peter. The secretary text me asking a favor if I could deliver the invitations to Pabe and Peter? I gave each guy their own invitation. For sometime Pabe had not received any donations from TBN Club.

While awaiting Peter at the meeting, the group had made an emotion to have Donna as chairman on entertainment to inquire on Bohol has Talent. This was an ideal to have as a money could be raised with such an event.... So far there are no reports given to the club on such an event neither has Donna called me in regards to such matters, as I was also chosen to help with the fund raising activity.

I do not recall accusing or pointing a finger at anyone in here as you have mentioned.

Anytime if you know people are saying bad things about the people then you should always talk to those persons who are being talked about in a wrong way and help them in the best way possible.

I am surprised to find again one of my column write ups that I and a friend had co wrote on regarding student prostitution being done here locally.

It is nice to see that people are still writing replies and reading this topic....

While writing for this particular newspaper I had done a column for almost four years.

I was able to advocate province wide as a guest speaker in several major functions.

It seems that when I write about things people get interested....

I owe a lot of credit to my long time media colleague whose name I will keep anonymous but he knows who he is and he has a very special place in my heart.... Thanks for always being there buddy....

Also a big thanks to our TB administrator in always believing in me on most things....you guys are the best!!!

Last night after we had signed out of TBN program Anchorman Pabe and I had a meeting regarding the comments being hurled in here and such accusations by a certain Cheer?

Be it may anyone has the right to a freedom of speech and expression but lets do it with respect dignity and factual information's as well as the resources being present (documents) in where one is getting such information that is being shared to the world here.

Gerry told me he had paid a visit to BIR office this week same as I had in order to see how much of this information is true that Cheers is trying to make a point with. This is normal practice to verify facts as a media practitioner to avoid being sued for liable.

He was told the same things that I was by the same BIR this week. That there is no need to issue receipts from or to TBN Ireland as it is a non profit group, in Ireland there is not a BIR or a SEC.

One member of TBN Ireland made a comment in an earlier topic that is where this topic had branched off from, that there are monthly dues collected in Ireland. Pabe told me that the person who had posted that thread had used the wrong wording as it is known to all members of TBN Ireland that these are only donations and nothing more. We have all been a victim to sometimes what we know as wrong word usage when talking about something.

Pabe also let me know that he would talk with Atty. Raul Barbarona and Rene Real who are both our president and our vice president of the group. He also will bring this thread to the attention of station manager Peter Dejarasco to see how things can be smoothed out....He was told by others that the secretary wants to have the funds donated for TBN to go to the other radio station....??


I would be happy to keep people updated once I know what is going on as far as Peter and Gerry and I are concerned since it was us who was slandered and defamed in here?

In the meantime to those of you who have been donating to help the people out who are in serious medical emergency needs during the TBN program please do not be discouraged to continue donating. I hope that others in here are getting a better and more clearer picture that I am trying to do my best to get the anchorman and the management and the clubs top officers together to work things out so that no hard feelings are abound us especially we are to be Christ like when helping out a brother or a sister with our good heart-ed intentions.

As I said before I belong to other organizations we all get along as should be....I never miss doing projects with them as they are fun to work with and to get along with.

No one in the other clubs holds any hostility or social issues against anyone else.

You see from the get go this woman is so against me....they even supposedly tell strangers who are not even members more info on whats going on in the meetings then I as an OFFICER of the BOARD even knows about....I found it in here as a surprise gotcha!!!

Do you do drugs? Rugby? Lack of sex? What makes you so angry when you supposedly have never met me and your a friend with the clubs secretary? You should really grab a gear! (It means to calm yourself down!).

What is angering you so much is it because I am a foreigner ? That is pretty obvious as can be for everyone else to see.....

That my picture is always in the paper  for projects I have accomplished in other organizations....that I can help on the program of TBN and be friends and get along with the anchorman? and there are no bad intentions between us...

I tell you all what, my friends would not spend time on the internet spewing while being upset about a club that she did not belong too....my friends would not even involve themselves in going after someone they do not know and attack them anywhere or even on the internet....

What does this friend cheers have invested in trying to discredit me or whatever she is trying to do to me?

I have been busy the past couple of days, trying to calm down from the personal attack in here against me. I am sure many of you in here agree that this Cheers who ever she is who has all the characteristics and know how of the TBN Club secretary is so down right out of control.

You signed your name under identity of Cheers....meaning your an accessory to what is going on or your the alleged attacker in here against me under an alias name, and your also accusing Pabe and DYRD of basically being thieves and let us add those of us who contribute donations whether they are financial or material donations. I think you have said your point over and over like a repeated broken CD. Unless you have any new news to contribute to the forum then I suggest that you rest for a while.

I am not breaking any laws of the Philippines....how truly funny.

I even studied my drivers Manuel for here and passed the test with great scores in order to be a safe driver on a road here and be all legal and that to have my Philippine drivers license.....but maybe that is considered as breaking the law here also?....just kidding!

If anything I highly respect the laws here, and I get annoyed when I hear complaining but still people do what is not good or right.

some examples on people breaking their own laws here: traffic laws, vote buying, minors in the streets drinking,drugs, no control on gang activities, business owners not paying employee taxes.....the list goes on....

But for me as a person who is living here 10 years or more and helping in many organizations to make a better livelihood for those who need help... I admit I have found this TBN club to be a do nothing group so far accept for the secretary to pull drama scenes always...about Gerry Pabe, Kuya Eddie or whomever has her mad at the moment.......I think she is really trying to get empathy and trying to pull people in to go against the people she does not like to help her fight her battles.

I asked her about a mutual friend that our treasurer and i share together and she aid that the person was not so good....Oh my words I am thinking just who is this woman to always have some mean to say about anyone? Many have dropped from attending the meetings even our president is also busy same as I am in other clubs. Even tho He is same like me he does hi best to make it to meetings.

I feel bad eating food and having a shake or soda and nothing gets accomplished at these meetings held at JJ's Seafoods.. People who said they want to chair events never attend because of the negative animosity against the anchorman's wife and to the anchorman himself coming from the TBN Club secretary. When this happened it was hard to have any support from the anchorman or his wife as both lost interest to the TBN Club as the secretary was making bad words or accusing them of any wrong doing when there has not been....

Just before Christmas Pabe approached me at the governors report held at the mansion for the media Pabe knows I am active in helping out with Lions club projects and busy in a medical mission group....Pabe knows I can be and that I have the capabilities of being a an active go getter and be able to get things going in a way that they should be. Pabe asked me to run first for the president, then Secretary or even as the treasurer as he explained he has had problems with the past board.

Pabe invited me to assist with entertaining the persons who go to the show to ask for help. I started out with listing them and briefing them on how the procedure works on air and what to expect and to never forget saying thank you to anyone who donates.

After that with my own personal funds I started giving them all snacks and the baby's who are sick I would give them diapers....I guess this must be what Cheer's is referring to as breaking the Philippine laws. I also provided Pabe with public service messages regarding free projects in the area that would help benefit those less fortunate.

I have attended what meetings that I can I have gone through with all my proposals and I also agree with the president that we as a group should raise money for the group which is aimed to give money to the program. For several months TBN Club was not turning in any funds to the show. Pabe asked me to see if I could get some donations to budge from the clubs account to help out those on the program needing help.Even I asked for release of money to give to the shows program but it was always a no go deal....argh!

I heard our secretary talk bad about Gerry to me and his wife, then I would hear Pabe in how upset he was when the the club was to donate to the program, but the officers in charge of the funds would not release any funds to the DYRD TBN program.... keeping calm and not saying anything to either of them so as not to stir the pot as it is not my battle...I just stayed helping with Pabe.....When I would take the time to attend the meetings there are never any reports and the secretary is haggled in regards to issues of the BIR so it is the same old song and dance from meeting to meeting....People do not show up in the expected number to even hold a forum.

Our Vice President who is Atty. Raul Barbarona instead called our meeting an officers meeting.....

At present the treasurer questioned Pabe why it is that I am helping with the show at DYRD? Do I ask questions on what other people do with their life? No, as I could careless what others do on their own time.Pabe explained to her that I was a valuable asset in helping out as a volunteer for the program... That I am so nice and good to the people going to the station. He even was the one to bring it up last week after the program went off air...even he does not know why is the purpose to be questioned about that matter?

When the secretary wanted to resign the treasurer said the secretary "If you resign then I will resign.....but do not resign as we are so close to the end of the year and we can eat lechon at our Christmas party".....meeting adjourned.....



Then in the forum I get attacked I get made to look like I am some mean slut or beast, or someone makes a comment that I am blowing my own flesh when I am simply listing the things I do in the Bohol community and how well i really blend in. I have plenty of proof in the pictures in the paper and also the certificates to prove I am not some SLUT as described by Cheer's in this community....I need to protect my reputation as a leader in my other professional organizations in where it has been a pleasure and not a nonsense because in my other organizations people get along great with each other and things are accomplished....Not how it is being ruined as it is now in TBN Club....Mam Cheer's your not helping the club out in how your using threats and personal vendetta against me whether it is true or not.

Again my sincere apologies trgarding this woman who is not being good to me or others in here. I originally started this post topic on TB because of the wonderful help received from people in the community.....I am not collecting any donations but I am encouraging people to keep on having a good heart in when it comes to helping others.

I would say around 10 out of 10 people really have a good respect for Gerry Pabe and the TBN program.

I do not know why someone would even want to turn something that is so good into something so negative.

Yesterday with my visit to the BIR office the supervisor at BIR informed me that there was no investigation being done neither is there any investigation being filed against DYRD/Pabe or TBN by Night, or TBN club for that matter.

They were also not happy that someone in here keeps ranting on in a foul mouth regrading the BIR. Making wrong assumptions and pointing fingers....I was asked by the BIR to file the defamation of character that was done to me in here with the city police as well as the always discriminate words of telling me to go back to my own country that i do not belong here.....etc...etc...In Philippine law doing such matters against a person is considered a grave offense.

Pabe is also asking me to get the IP address off of the PC in which Cheer's is using.....I am sure that is a hard task here as most people are working with pirated versions of Microsoft because even though it is wrong but affordable thing to do here....

Please people do not rely on words from a friend who may be out to stir you up over matters. It is okay to be careful or cautious but do not go on the basis of someone who is not working, representing, or has been in a situation with whatever it is that may be of concern to you.

The best way in handling things before you end up hurting people and making yourself look and feel ashamed is to go direct to the source. I know our TBN secretary has some really negative and personal issues that got to the point in where the wife of the program anchorman had to stop coming to the meetings.

Just because it is a rival between the anchorman, his wife and her does not mean she should drag others into the matter. and again to make a point does not mean you have to make up stories and personally attack someone who has not even bothered you or your friend....but let's get to the unmasking of cheer's after all has been said...if you feel so confident in what your saying is correct then go by your real name.

I know who you are just by observing the manner in how you know so much as just a friend to a so called secretary of TBN...

Let me set another record straight. I never said anything wrong about the Jer2 hnu or ub thing.....all i suggested is instead of wasting energy on this tbn issue it would be better to focus your attention as a proud alumni of hnu to help counsel and give comfort to the kids who are involved in this organization....but as usual my kind helpful advise was taken wrong...I woke up this morning telling myself to never give compliment or offer anyone help here as it will be taken wrong and misunderstood....

I was not brought up to have someone treat me as if I am some scourge of the earth...neither am I raised narrow minded...

Just being here after the China incident in Manila and being a foreigner here not one day goes by since then that we (foreigners) are not prosecuted by persons who simply do not want outsiders here. As foreigners here we are not so sensitive if those words are said to us....it has become a normal here to have to hear it even from people here who are strangers.

People have a right to bring up any point or views that they feel right in their own opinion..

You cannot take that away from people. You also do not have to agree.

I find that when I hear or read what others have to say and if it is said in a nice polite constructive way then I try to see it in the way that one speaking also sees it.

I have noticed that people tend to be narrow minded in forums as suggestions from others could help you see things different in how you may be seeing it at present.

You do not have to always make an argument.... I find it always so negative your comments no matter what is being said by others.

You made some derogatory statement to me regarding baptism you bet it should be special...and made as original and as meaningful as it can be. Do I want to be baptized by a plastic old used alcohol bottle? ha ha ha ha I would rather be taken to a river or an ocean inlet and be bent backwards totally submerged..not sprinkled by a little plastic bottle...It must be a special place created by God himself.

You also made a comment about sniper it is so not clear your Visaya.

There is no issue here other then Filipina woman who needs to calm down and stop accusing people who are super nice of doing wrong things....her way of handling things as been very non mature and very non professional. Maybe she is a great woman and maybe she has been going through a lot worrying about about what may not be so important....Things always have a way in working out.

If your not familiar with the topic since you live out of the country breathing the air and the freedom and the higher wages of another country then just red and observe and try to help the situation out if your capable of doing so?

Virgil, it is a bluff, there is no investigation being ordered through BIR.

There is no one working there at BIR who goes by the name of Cheer's or even a nickname being used by that name. Nobody there admitted even knowing our secretary of TBN as well.

I spoke with some really great persons working there who were really shocked and astonished of the words being said against Pabe and I and they were even more upset for the this person whomever they are to keep dragging the BIR into things that are not even true, according to the BIR supervisor there.

They spoke highly of Gerry Pabe and could hardly believe what was being said in here by this particular Cheer's.

It is not good publicity for BIR, DYRD, Me, or Pabe to be put in bad spotlight for things being said here in inside of Tubag Bohol  by this particular person who is using her hidden name which in where she has said so far is irrelevant or is it even far from the truth coming from Cheer's....

BIR suggested for me to take a printed copy of this topic and report it to the police to catch their attention, they said that I had a legitimate complaint as they were also being falsely represented by this imposter Cheers.

When they read the part about receipts they said it is not true that a receipt needs to be issued....end of story......

Cheers what you have done so far other then trying to get persons to try and stop sending of donations, you have also been feeding people in here with a lot of false and misleading info about Me, Pabe,DYRD,  BIR,.and this issue of receipts....

I also apologized to the BIR for having to know that they were drug into such a bad light they said it is not good what is said here on BIR matters what they said was all of it being said is not good and not true.

Now let me walk them hand in hand through the maternity ward so they can see all the single mothers with babies do to this being in favor of natural family planning.

Now let me show them the beds in the birthing wards with often two new mothers and sometimes a third laying down in an over crowded maternity ward room after giving birth....Pastilon!!!!

No let me see all those kids being born under natural family planning be born with just married couples, let me see these kids being fed nutritiously 3x's or more a day?

Let me see 100% financial support for these kids by their own parents with out their parents having to borrow from others for medical, clothing, foods, etc....

I think it is more of a crime to have an unwanted and an unplanned baby born into a none prepared situation in where the parents let alone who cannot even provide for themselves...

That works well if you have a government welfare program that is willing to support the kids and the parents who cannot find work and provide for that natural family planned baby when the parents are struggling to even find food for their own....

I say stop all programs for the poor. Let's take out the free programs so that the multiple births are not so easy to come by as many poor know they can get and receive hand-outs....

Raise the price in the birthing and labor bill....that should lessen the craving for wanting to have sex all the time...why make the birthing and maternity bill so barato it is sort of like so tempting for people here to be able to make unwanted and unplanned babies as if  pushing them out how coke cola gets poured into bottles in the coke plant...

Not a day goes by that I do not get hit up and asked for alms......parents needing help for their natural planned children that they cannot even afford...

To me family values means taking your only day off if your spouse is not an OFW and spend time together as a family.

I drive in between the Cathedral and the police station and in front of the COMELEC office on a rainy night out of many nights there sleeps three poor families....If I want to learn any family values then I want to see the church helping these people get their feet off the ground.... That to me is the best kind of teaching as it is setting an example.


If the churches are exempt of paying tax and passing the basket two-three times in a mass here as I have observed then where in the world is that money going to?

I think the Catholic church here in Philippines is really different in how it is run in states.

The church back home is charitable.

Where does the money go that is paid to the collection baskets here?

I know they are not paying air con and I know they are not paying for heat bill......

I even tried to make a suggestion to have the church donate a portion of unused parking lot to allow vendors to vend for a few hours in order to make money for their families.

Are these persons not Catholic and law abiding and trying to support their families...then what is wrong with the problem with my suggestion to help people here?

Look at the population here....do you really think natural family planning works?....resources say a lot and there are not much here... example Philippines like to eat plenty of sweets, now we have sugar shortage here and many who are diabetic and now one kilo sugar is almost 59 pesos do to shortages of the product....many foods are high in price many people having babies that are hard to eat do to lack or little money here....for some....

I know many Catholic persons are also for the RH bill but they are afraid to let the church see how they really feel.....

My opinion as a foreigner living a long time in Bohol.

I think I can say I have more better times then sad times here.

I often will pass by a stranger in the street and say hello with a smile.....it also brings back smiles in return and sometimes looks of surprise!

I am well aware of foreigner men coming here to pick up ladies for a night or two paying around 400 or more just to have a companion sit with him for even a dinner.

Often I know of foreign men who get what they want more then three times a day with three different ladies. I am not proud of that in any way in fact I am easily embarrassed and it makes foreigners look bad when being spoken about in general here.

I also know foreigners who have been in long time relationships with women from here who are really nice....

Most often if someone is going to be shot they have normally been under surveillance by the one who will have the killing done just so they know when to shoot at the right time and the right place.

I will try to find my notes on a power-point presentation that was shared with the media recently in a self defense seminar for media with SPO3 Carnarco from Camp Dagohoy.

I think it would be a nice ideal to share that in here so people will always be vigilant on everything happening around them.....

Maybe lives could be saved once after I have posted some helpful tips on knowing when your being under surveillance.

I appreciate your apology but it should not be you to be the one as this was also 1,000.000.000 million times embarrassing for me to see than you are anyone else in here. You already know me for a long time as I have changed different names in the forum over the years as a member.

My colleagues in the media consider me a clean cut decent person and not anything else more or less.

Many in town shout after me and get my attention and many give me praises and recognition for being so active in helping out here.

I just do my work and do not get involved with the paperwork, or the personal business of others.

As far as my end in helping with Gerry every night when I am am able I do not get involved with the donations.....I am a foreigner that is true but I am not a foreigner to these lands I have been here a long time and sometimes I do not know how I have done it considering some of the bad negative brushes people here have given to me.

I have lost thousands from trusting and lending money to people who always promise to pay back when I try to collect they say they do not have any ideal what I am talking about? Life is funny those who are the real victims keep silent those who have never experienced being a victim to anything have no clue to what it feels like to have lost their honest trust in persons.... he he he he maybe I should have had them sign papers that they owe me......or maybe i should have given them a receipt....money lost money gone money to never be seen again in my situation.

In this matter let the business of the BIR and the media outlet of the Bohol Chronicle work it out together if there really is such a problem. I am not the owner or the manager of the place. I am a volunteer on a public service program there and would like to say to anyone reading this and to those who donate lets keep on showing the delight of our heavenly father and his son true examples of giving help to others.....

So many need help these days with out the kindness of others these persons way off worse then others would never be given a chance to get better.

I am glad you have brought this up Lorenzo about talking thing over with Church personal and officials....

It just so happened yesterday my friend I had run into a Church nun here at BQ I asked if the country is so dominated in Catholic faith then why is it when they (Catholics) try to control over birth control matters in the nation then why cannot they also at the same time try to lower the prices with foods in the grocer stores.

Things here have gotten really expensive with out a doubt.

When standing in grocery store check out lanes you can see more now days that people in the line in the front of you are having to put back more groceries because what they had been budgeted for a long time is becoming so out of control in how things are constantly rising in price here.

Now back to the nun/sister....she could not answer the question.

Raul Barbarona where did Atty Barbarona get the details of the fines??? It is under BIR Regulations Law and it should be followed... Atty. Raul Barbarona knows what is the protocol.  So when your secretary related that TBN has nothing to do about it.... I have been reading some statements here and some are good and some are just making fun.

Originally this is another topic that I started out as a positive one....and of course there are those type of people who want to be heroes and go by the book, as we know not all things are gone by the book here.

Just like in TB before we can join we click on of rules and an agreement I think one of the rules is not to make defamation or be ,liable to speaking about persons in here.

From the get go Ms. Cheers started this topic in a negative manner in where she directed attention towards me. Then I without saying or mentioning words to make anyone one offended she then brings up my present and past life that are not true regarding what the people in this city say or that I am some sort of jer2 person....That night I had come home after just donating foods to persons on TBN I was so hurt so shocked that someone who says she is doing things to follow the laws is being so mean and attacking me in public spotlight... Then she has sent me numerous personal messages and continues the same old beat and repeat over and over again as if a broken CD saying things such as I should that I should get out of TBN that I am acting if I am some sort of elite as a foreigner here. Okay I admit I belong to several civic groups and a couple of NGO groups and with these I stay pretty darn busy trying to do my best to give people who are less fortunate some sort of care and help make them feel better about themselves.......I guess that is being elite.....and further more I guess that is being a jer2 and further....further more.....that is breaking the rules of the government.

I had taken upon myself after sending personal message that I would give a time limit for her to make a public apology in TB for the off subject personal defamation against me....

I did not receive any public apology from this Ms. Cheers, and then when I read on in this topic that she is still trying to undermined me/ or contradict me I had to stoop down to a low level and had contentions of the devil in me when I admit I asked her to shut the F___CK UP once and for all.

She laments that I am not a TBN member and that I do not do my job....so on and blah blah....

Then I went to TBN as a normally do and after the show the anchorman and I read over the TB topic on receipts. Gerry told me what to say and that was to give my TBN number over on TB and to say that I along with Eddie Mainit were both chosen as TBN PRO meaning press relations persons by our TBN president.  

The funny thing is I never see the other PRO at the meeting and he is a friend of mine. He was able to submit one photo to the newspaper on receiving funds from a donor.

He discussed with me about why he does not attend he said he sees it useless to attend when nothing gets done.....I was speaking with another anchorman of DYRD who has an impeccable amount of respect because of his homework and his ways in how he covers topics over air. This anchorman said several things about our secretary and how she is destroying the image and the purpose of the club and that she has really no ethics in how she is approaching this situation and in how she approaches persons and also that she does not have any respect for the TBN anchorman and his wife.

This anchorman said this TBN has basically turned into a do nothing joke...and that it would be better for me to stay as Gerry's assistant in helping direct with the indigents through out the program.

I am not speaking over air... I may laugh at a joke or two here and there if I can understand it at the time....I am also providing public service information in where people can get free help or when medical missions will be that sort of stuff. I am not doing anything malice it is not in my heart.

I remember a past topic in where I brought up that it would be nice to have some more volunteers to help the needy here and that it seems like when we do have something good happening there is always those persons who want to ruin it...and that means ruining it for others who are really in need.

Recently I was told some pretty private things regarding the TBN secretary's husband and instead of blurting out her personal business that does happen to be true as I had confirmed it already.....but I am not so mean that I have to let the world know. I am an ethical person who is also not trying to crave any attention by bringing up things that are hurtful or personal in order for me to get any ounce of attention.

I also told cheers to not bring up personal info whether true or not....I also told her "MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS"  that is not attacking that is called being so fed up with the nonsense and telling someone direct....presently in my message box I have more messages waiting for me....I know who it is but I am not going to entertain them....as I said it is samoke if I do....

In my ten years of living here as a very legal and documented permanent citizen I have received over the years for my advocacy and my time in helping out with many projects and functions in all this time I have received many certificates and plaques of appreciation for this work.

I was also nominated by a judges wife and was chosen as a Vice President of the international lion's club;s here. I also was voted by club members to represent the club last time in Manila during the national conference. Last August I was selected as Chairman treasurer for the Visayan 301-B2 district for the Lion's by the new district president.

You can imagine if other persons who really know me and who really know what I am about, can you imagine what they would be thinking after reading Cheers's defamation against me......How truly awful.....

I am also sorry that she has subjected some really good people in here into this ordeal from my orginal context in making it positive that people are out here who do care in helping others less fortunate.

A few years back I had attended a church seminar on where local and provincial government as well as the Bishop had taled about birth control in the Catholic church.

The meeting was held in an orderly fashion in politicians were also asked to step up to the microphone and give their feelings about the issue.

- mean.. it should be recorded properly thru "incoming and outgoing" invoices.

Than you scarb for informing the readers here in TB who are reading this topic. This is exactly what I have been telling the TBN Club that the people are signing forms that they have received money and some have to do it more than once depending on normally what company or institute is being the one to donate.

The donations are being heard on air and are also being printed every weekend in the chronicle.

I just would like to say keep on donating anything is even acceptable sometimes people donate baby formulas, diapers like i have also donated, foods, as well, clothes.....as these people as I have said come in so hungry poor and looy....

Do what you want with the investigation of TBN program. The files are not lost the studio was renovated and they are put in another area.... Files from receiving monies go all the way back to what is needed for filing.

Also Pabe has his current logbook all is there so I really do not know what your ranting on about when you say the books are lost?

All transactions donations and receiving of donations is acknowledged on air and printed in the Bohol Chronicle.

I have noticed that many are reading this but does anyone have any solutions for the DYRD TBN program or any suggestions for the TBN Bohol club?

If so I would love and accept any insight for what is the best thing to do....

About now I would really like to send copies of my certificates and for volunteering in NGO groups in where I help out and accompany it with the paste ups written from you in here and ask why is it Dear US president we allow as Americans to put up with so much discrimination in a country in where we help so much always and why is it we allow these same people to go to America where there is greener pastures to roam on and then they send the dollars back here instead of keeping it in the country where it was made?....I have sure noticed foreigners here lately are not being treated well....as I said we are prosecuted daily here and by both persons who are to be both educated and are supposed to be good Catholic persons being observed by God and Jesus.....

Let me analyze this as I am getting libog from all this hen pecking being done in here. First of all you say your a donor...congrats for that and all the pats on your back that you need....then you mention your relatives are donors?......Then you say that they stopped.....hmmm I guess this is improper grammar usage on your part because "are" is the meaning of present time and then you say stopped? or did you mean to say it like this....I and my relatives were once donors for the TBN program but because of there not being any financial documentation or receipts we felt the need to stop donating to the program. Also the assembly of HNU had gathered and even though we have such good hearts we agreed as a body to stop donating on the TBN program to help the poor.... due to what we think may be some minor technicalities or misunderstandings?

If you really are truly not interested in helping poor persons in need who are your brothers and sisters from your own country then that is your personal but it is not normally good or ethical to try and brainwash or influence a body of persons from helping out others who need it the most.I really thought Bohol was all about being good people under God and what he would like to see people doing...?   

I see so much hat-redness here daily I am tired of people from here who whine and grind about how much people will rip each other apart here on a daily basis now a days I hear more taring down of persons versus helping to lift up anyone's hopes or good spirits...

I posted a positive blog in hopes of encouraging more Bohol people to help out but you just twisted it into another way and that is to try and discourage people to donate and help people out....

Did you know when divine mercy or other companies donate to the TBN program at their own freedom of choice and discretion, the poor people will sign separate pieces of paper per donor so that the ones donating have the evidence that they have given and so that they can report it to the BIR....Are you aware of this?

Maybe the BIR is wanting that companies and institutes will be the one to report to the BIR as maybe it can be used as a tax incentive to be used in the future... I am sure many companies and institutes try to claim that they donate to charity....but reporting it is a way that the BIR can have the physical evidence when a company tries to collect for tax breaks do to his charitable contributions.....

There is nothing wrong with that. As far as private donors many individuals rarely hatag over 500 pesos at a time....

I think and I feel that the things you are posting in here is some sort of pre meditated tactic for people to stop helping the poor by stopping to hatag donations? You already said it in the blog I quoted from you that the HNU assembly has stopped donating....

Many charity donations I am sure are not reported from many institutes when they give maybe the receiver also is not reporting his donations received but people in TBN are signing their names to forms and logs from whomever is the donor....I have told this to the TBN club many a times until I am blue in the face....from always repeating it....So maybe the one doing the donating is the one urning in the names to the BIR.....

I will ask anchorman Pabe tonight if he is saying that on air about things being his money? I will ask for a tape from the technician as I was not there when he said it or I could have been out of the studio listing the indigent at the time?

As for my KBP license yes I am one of the very few foreigners to pass such a an exam...even though I have never had a chance to use it as I do not speak on air... I do not bring it up or boast about it so please do not put false things about me....

Yesterday morning I was passing by a HNU student in her uniform I asked her briefly if what is in the news about the sex organization is true?

She said yes and continues to walk past....

I would like to suggest to the alumni class organizers why not take out some time and energy to help out these students..... why not try to restore the school the way it use to be?

Maybe the older sisters and brothers can be notified and organize some sort of volunteers who could assist in social therapy for these students are in involved into this organization....... I am worried that if they are in the organization for to long how can they get out...and if they get get out imagine the emotional scaring they will have for some it will be maybe even traumatized....

I am and always have been afraid for my daughter to attend colleges here as kids here are influenced to do a lot of wrong decisions under the age of 18-21 years old.

Maybe the parents of these students need to be rounded up and given a heart to heart also....

I have friends who are alumni from HNU I hope they are open for helping these students who are involved in such an organization....

I am shocked to learn the latest regarding another foreign national being shot and killed....

Cheers If i can recall my memory from several months back just after we had taken oath for TBN officers club at JJ's I think your friend the secretary of the Tagbilaran group had made some very mean tactless statements against our member who happens to be the wife of anchorman Pabe on the program in where the funds are intended for....now because of the foul words coming from the secretaries lips against the wife of Pabe for several months has not been showing up for meetings....I find Mrs. Pabe to be a very nice lady and good person....

the program at DYRD is a public service program and is there to help get assistance for the poor people who need help in medical expenses because they are so unable to help themselves....

Some coming to ask for help are for emergencies, life and death situations, or some have even been victims in said situations in where their had been injuries inflicted upon them...

i am not sure if i want to or could even go into the description of how these people asking for help look or even say that they are educated...these people asking for help a good majority of them are often skinny to the bone, wearing soiled clothing that is worn out or out dated.

Some even go into the studio with very filthy hair and body's and have odor maybe they have no good place to sleep, no water, or not enough money to even buy a bar of soup...many come from far away poblacions and barrios....by the time they have walked to their destination of DYRD to ask help from TBN program their feet are dirty and their slippers are worn thin....to add they are very hungry CHEERS.....Do you mean to say that the BIR is so hard up that they think or have rules in where the super poor are profiting from this program when they get funds for help in medical situations?


i know this program Tagbilaran by Night has been aired for a long time. When i was new here over ten years ago i thought how lucky and how kind the people are to have such a nice radio  station to provide such a public service at the same time Boholanos are showing their christian selves as helping out a fellow sister or brother who is way worse off then they are...

I am appalled at the nerve of some people who are trying hard at being social and in order for them to do it they have to knock down even the poor and knock down a anchorman, or the station produced program that they are on to think it will make them look better?

or why is it that the money was not ever turned over to the program that peter donated and AE donated? maybe someone was partying with it instead from the club?......now you see how silly that looks it looks just the same when you indicate that Pabe or the indignant are getting rich.... No one is getting rich from anything in this scene. last week a receipt book was seen by our treasurer and two donations were there dating back to 2008 one from peter and another from another member in the year 2008....when I asked about the other two donations that are more current the secretary was fast to chime in and say ....."I did not bring it that receipt book it is at home still"....why does the secretary have the book and not the  treasurer?

I often sit in on the program donate snacks and list the patients and provide any information for Pabe to mention over the radio for  public service announcements... As I do belong to many organizations in were we help the under privileged...

Often when i do help out on the show i am sad that there is not more coming in to help these people....maybe some of you should try fasting for one meal and spend the money you would on food for yourself and donate it to a poor person to get even a bite.....It would be hard to do come to think about it....just think even how much more for a really poor person think truly how hungry they are life is really hard for them 10 times more...

TBN program on DYRD is a long time public service already and why did it take this long for people to complain about it.... If you people feel so strong about the donations and how they are handled why now and not before?

I have paid dues at the Christmas party I came in around number 12 or 13 as a board member. I got there just on time at the meeting when nominations were being taken....Pabe at two governor reports had asked me to run for president, or the secretary or the treasurer but I declined as a new member it is not right to jump in as an officer right away, one needs to observe the group and see if there are any problems or weak links and try to work on getting them fixed. Eddie Mainit and I were chosen as PRO for the group by our very kind president himself. I was not boasting about how Pabe seriously did not want anymore people running as the officers who were not handing the donations over to the program in where they should be helping the poor....Even I could not understand this myself....We in the club also do not own the money and we also cannot tell people were to put their own money when they want to voluntarily donate? For a while I was taking out thousands and even giving money to the poor on the show off air as not to boast also...I think it is better to be an anonymous donor....but again it is nice to see who are really the true heart persons who care to lend a helping hand when it is needed the most....

Even i bring foods for the poor to eat as they wait to go into the dyrd studio and i give them tissues all from me and did you all notice that I am not thanked at the end of the night? It is the decision of the station manager and myself as I am humble with out any ego to have my name always being mentioned....as I already feel good about the giving that I have done....

I had done several write ups for the group, but for me it was getting hard as the group rarely has enough people in attendance for holding a quorum meeting. Hard to write about progress when we have not made any so far this year...mao ba?

I even suggested inviting the media outlet owner/president Peter to be a guest at one of our meetings to get some answers from him about what is happening and how he feels about the group having fund raisers.

That meeting was on June 16th on my birthday and even though I was busy cooking and shopping for my party that night I still attended the meeting....that is what you call dedicated....

The first couple of meetings I was busy as a PRO doing province wide medical missions free for indignant persons, therefore unable to attend the first two TBN meetings.

I was told to get out of the group and it would be better just to stay as Jerry Pabe's assistant and assist in entertaining the guest who go on the show.

I just came from the meeting of TBN officers unfortunately we were not able to gather enough people to hold a quorum so it was suggested by our Vice President (Atty. Raul Barborona) who was standing in for the clubs regular board president who was absent this day, that we would have an officers meeting instead. The Tagbilaran By Night Board since we had no other choice as it has been 3 months already from when the organization sat down last June 16th, to discuss matters to be taken care of.

I had given the cellphone of jerry Pabe to Atty. Raul Barborona in front of everyone who was there. Atty. Raul called to Pabe and told Pabe that we the TBN will give monthly donations of 1000 pesos from the account in where the money is being held starting next Monday.

During the phone conversation our secretary who is either you or your best friend (since you seem to know so much about what is going on with the board of directors and anything else?)......had threatened everyone that she is resigning verbally as she said her reasons are for she does not want to have any complaints with the BIR and she also stated that her and Jerry have an long time ongoing conflict from what she has heard from others regarding jerry Pabe being a contra towards her.

Atty. Raul had tabled her reasons to be discussed under other matters at the end of the meeting and informed her and the rest of the officers present that she would need to make a formal request letter to the president regarding her resignation.

After things were explained to our secretary from our Vice President she still felt adamant about her plans to vacate her position as a secretary.

Atty.Raul said that she would still be in the organization and could still help out. When asked through-out the meeting if she was still going to resign she should she must....and she also added that she would put it in the minutes as I had observed her doing so.

Atty. Raul said that the program Tagbilaran by Night is a station produced show belonging to DYRD if they accept walk in donations and said that the TBN Volunteer organization will not not be liable for it.

He also stated any monies made from jingles,or other donations going to the show are theirs not the organizations.

The group needs to Turn in any receipts and reports dating back to the years 2008-2009 and pay the BIR fine and for four books around 2500 in December in order to start out clean again....reports should be brought to SEC as well by April 2011 in order to renew for the year.

It was moved by the president via cellphone that the next meeting will be held on October 16th, 2010. same venue and same time. The meeting is being moved due to the all souls and saints day holiday weekend....

I did ask our secretary who was Cheers in the wesite Tubog Bohol but she told me it could be her friend Che Che.....who is working at BIR because she is always talking about being worried to face her classmates who work there at BIR....

Atty. Raul told assured our secretary she would have very little to do in dealing with the BIR that the work needs to be done by the treasurer of the TBN organization........

His family ordered him to be taken off of life support as his vitals were way down and he could not recover...he passed on just a couple days after the orders were given.....

It was a scheduled brown-out to replace rotten poles according to my text advisory from Bohol Light Co. but when i had read it in the newspaper on following Sunday I was surprised that it was a snake that had crawled into a section of the main power area causing everything to burn and cause the brown out that lasted for some time in Bohol.

Today on Lesaage st and parts of Tagbilaran a malfunctioning reservoir machine that brings water in parts of the city has failed to work and now for two days there has been no water flowing into certain areas of Tagbilaran....

If not one thing it is another here these days....so hago so kapoy....

I have eye witnessed what goes on in TBN during the program. I have also taken pictures of Pabe writing and recording all donations in the log book for the show the patients names, I have also witnessed patients signing a log book that they have received such amount of donations.

Pabe is a good person and would not steal from anyone or any organization. I am aware of the many look persons in need of medical help who go in there very hungry when going on air to ask for help.

These people show up at DYRD Studios as early as 4PM at times.

I know AE Damalerio told me that there was an xxxxxx amount of money handed over to TBN in a check form just for the exclusive use of the TBN show.

Also the donation of 10 thousand never was turned over to the show until now that was from another private donor.

Unfortunately many members are showing a lack of interest in showing up for monthly meetings. Funds have been donated by certain persons but those funds are not being sent to the program?

Fund raising is allowed but with less officers/board-members being there a quorum has been called maybe 2-3 times since the new officers had taken oath last December.

A meeting is planned for tomorrow at JJ's Seafoods Village. I doubt again enough people will show up for the meeting. Some board-members feel it is hard to make moves in the group and therefor have shown non interest to show up to discuss such issues as release of funds and discuss further ideals for fund raisers.

I always think why should there be any guards at all standing at business door thresholds isn't not that Bohol claims to be a religious and safe province to be???

I had been warning people for a long time that things about Bohol were changing....B4 when I was first here over ten years ago there were no bugoys in sight....

I have heard police get mad about foreigners especially who go to the PNP to complain that they were a victim of theft by Filipino here...PNP tend to take things personally versus professionally....

I would really like to say thank you to those persons who find lost items and turn them in are real heroes especially when times are hard now and temptation would tell them otherwise to keep such valuables versus turning them in instead... to a lost in found...The best lost in found we have here at radio station DYRD in the heart of the city. Everything turned into the lost and found is logged and dated and broadcast-ed over air...and kept in a safe place.

During my time as a volunteer on Tagbilaran By Night program, it is so refreshing to see honest tricycle drivers turning in lost items to the radio station.

Despite the theives that are here we also have a lot of good people who do the right thing when something of value is lost and found.

The reality on the news event covering this back in 2007 I was given complaint and court documents to write about this incident in 2007. Chronicle and Sunday Post refused to publish the news that happened to these Japanese tourist.

The person handing me these documents was the Sr. writer at a major newspaper here and according to him his publisher did not want to print any news that was negative here regarding foreigners.

I was the only one in print media to take up the initiative to make a front page news item out of this in front page in Bantay Balita whose publisher was a Japanese. The second write up on this was in my old column in Bohol Standard "precious thoughts".

This maybe be the point in why there was not much excitement from the public when these men were captured do to the fact not enough people were informed about the incident.

Recently two Americans had come down with Denge here in Bohol. One stayed in COOP where they said they really enjoy the care they received there.

The other is a member of the LDS Church and is her from Arizona state doing a two year mission term here in Philippines. This particular individual did not go to any church and relied solely on prayer and water method with bed rest. Both Denge victims are doing well now.

This past week two of my friends living here Americans with USA passports have been victimized of Dengue fever. My first friend was admitted in COOP a one on one hospital.

She was admitted for three nights and was given an IV for four nights.

My second friend is a male on mission here for the Jesus Christ of Later day Saints church. he has had the symptoms for almost four days now. he has been instructed to drink plenty fluids and seek in stay care at a local hospital.

Dengue is the mosquito that is low flying and found in his natural breeding places such as stagnant water and under shrubs where he is normally taking shade.

There is a home test to determine if you are a victim of dengue.

Symptoms can include prolonged headaches behind the eyes, and red dots appearing after home test. and fever for more than 2-3 days.

Almost as if flu like symptoms.

Both dengue victims are age 20. and here in Tagbilaran/Dauis.

The PNP inside the mall at the help desk once notified of the incident were nervous and scared to go after the suspect so instead of acting immediately on the evidence or going after the suspect the mall PNP called the main office of the police station for help. This is again according to the guard on duty who had witnessed everything.

The guard said that he is questionable on whether or not there was really an emergency cal for the police to leave the terminal? The guard was not aware of any documented police calls for help in the city were ever logged in.

The guard said it was near to the fence at the bus terminal and in the road diagonally across from the Bo Coffee mall entrance in where the victim had dropped to his death after being shot two times in the head....the guard said the victim was shot up so bad in the head that his brain was exposed and coming out.... the guard had never seen anything so horrible happen in front of his eyes.

Some PNP who I have spoken with say it could possibly be an inside job because who else knew that the wife along with the victims and her kids were going to go pay the 60thsnd bail at camp Dagohoy??

Jerry Pabe from DYRD's Tagbilaran by Night had covered the event on the same night that it had happened on.

Pabe told the police that they should cooperate together as media is to be friends with PNP in order to help each other out.


That event was the 28th day of consecutive crimes happening in the City of Tagbilaran.

I survived when my horse falling down and rolling over completely with me still sitting in the saddle during a barrel race competition when I use to game and rodeo with the cowboys back home....

My horse was ranked at the time as the top ten in Northwest barrel racing org. She somehow knew how to drop and roll-over in a way that she did not put all her weight on me and neither did I come out of it with aches or bruises.

Often these kinds of accidents lead into having broken bones.

I also rodeo for several years and knew how to keep myself calm so that the horse would not run away out of control. My horses were trained by me to stand if I had fallen off them ever not to run away. I may have fallen once and was bucked off once.... Not bad for a life longer rodeo girl!

Sorry to read and know about this incident. I was in Cebu/and Manila during the time that this happened.

Not just buses are a tourist transport problem here but also passenger boats as well.

Last weekend 6 youth were hospitalized after sitting on board an Ocean jet Ocea going from Cebu city to Tagbilaran Bohol, the craft when the air conditioner on boat was being repaired for two hours as they were tied up to the dock.

The crew did not administer CPR nor did they hand out water to the parched and boiling hot passengers.

The week before the engine stalled two times in the one week with the same company.


Always best to make sure that you have a an extra traveling insurance anytime you go anywhere.

What are we suppose to do when we read this information?

Many Boholano men have more than one wife and a bundle of kids in many parts of the country and around the world especially seamen, with many different other women.

  Barangay Captain out on Bail hit by gunman.

June 8th, a Talibon bgy. Captain was arrested and then on June 17th, he was released from bail after his wife had posted the required Php60thsnd to Camp Dagohoy for the release of her husband.

While near to Bo's Coffee at ICM and the City bus terminal an identified man shot direct to the head the Bgy. Cap. Even after the victim was shot he continued to run until his death had arrived from the bullet that was put to his head.

There was one police in the vicinity at the time but he was on another call of duty at the time of the shooting.

The wife said she has no bad issues with her husband and that he was her only love.

The gunman is still at large...until this time.

Another robbery and hold up occurred in that same area at a local gas station in the same vicinity in where the BGY. Cap. was shot to death.

Yesterday marked the 28th consecutive day of bad things that have been happening in Tagbilaran.

Lorenzo- No medicine will be forwarded to the Philippines by any Dr. due to the simple fact that he is not able to monitor and do regular check ups for this person.

Secondly- He has been here for some time already and to your realization no those medicines you mentioned are rarely found in Bohol. here in Bohol you do not have a Dr.who can recommend psychiatric medicines unless without prior psychiatric evaluation.
Unfortunate Bohol has only one psychologist not psychiatrist.

I find the reporting to be highly questionable and flawless leaving out detail. If a man or woman pulls the plug on his or her spouse with-out prior permission it is called murder....if a husband or a wife does not help out when they know the other is sick yes, there are things to do to prevent the sickness from resulting into death. If the one spouse does not help to prevent over sickness or death from happening it should be also looked as as some sort of negligence on her part? Lorenzo maybe 63 is old age for your culture but in the states it is still considered a very young age. here they think 35 is already not sexy and too old...lol!!!.....I am 44 years old and when I see some of these women here they appear to look way older than me because of the hard life that is dealt out so wrongfully to them here.

Lorenzo I have a question for you....If I lay in bed with-out medicines unable to drive myself and you are my husband and know I have a mental illness and maybe other complications would you try to find me medicines? or would you let me go with-out being maintained?

It sounds like to me she did not go get medicines for him as she said he was four days with-out his medicines....(The two become one) in sickness and in health so she should of helped him have medicines so he would not have ended up hypertensive to the point in where other problems had intensified enough to kill him....

Since I have last posted in this web site we here at the TBN Volunteers club in Tagbilaran Bohol Club have had two meetings already regarding fund raising. The last meeting was an emergency meeting inviting three persons to show up one being anchorman of the show Jerry Pabe, the other being Tata Billy from Cong. Chatto's office and the other being that of Peter Dejarasco the president of Bohol Chronicle/DYRD.

Peter out of the three invited was the only one who had shown up.

I already was told by Pabe why he was not able to make the meeting that was moved by me and seconded by another BOD member.

In one of the meeting we asked the VP of the club if we were allowed to hold fund raisers? He is an attorney and told the BOD members that the club has every rights to hold fund raising for the poor who are coming to the radio station as it is a legitimate registered group with the SEC.This was when I moved to invite three important persons who could help us in clearing up things before we can have any fund raisin

We also decided to raise our yearly dues.

I am curious as to how much dues are being paid by the members in TBN Ireland monthly? It must be nice to be able to collect monthly dues and be able to submit always to Jerry.

Two persons have donated into the funds of the show but those funds have not been released by the club and that money given by those two benefactors was given to the club to disperse solely to the program of the TBN program itself.

I think it is a wonderful thing that TBN Ireland is so very supportive to the people in Bohol coming to ask for help at TBN DYRD.

Most often it is their funds and Alturas who are the biggest donor's.

Joe Esperanza family, Bohol Builders Contractor's Association, Divine Mercy Chapel, many others and also several members from TBN also.

With-out the help from these generous persons I do not know how some patients could survive?

I even looked up a face book account on this woman which may have ben hers and if it was her account man she was she ever busy spending her time playing all types of farmville, Zooville but never was there any info exchanged amongst her friends or relatives neither are there pictures of her. So she had plenty of time to help him survive if this was her account in where she appears to be just standing by to abide time....

So why did she allow this man (her husband to lapse?

I know for a fact it is illegal to ship medicines from states especially those for mental illness.

The victim Jesse hails from Oakland Oregon. A place located in Central Oregon and near to three sisters Mountains in this place also.

The people population is dense in Indian tribal places such as this place where he is from. The population is around 1000 persons in Oakland Oregon. (Indian tribe area.)

I am curious about this case and why is it the autopsy did not mention anything about heart attacks, high blood.....

many wives when I ask for their foreigner partners contact number to invite them to join the foreigner group here, the Filipina is so controlling to the point that she does not want her man to have any outside contact and he or she will say you can have the number of their Filipina wife or girlfriend.

Yesterday I seen a not so attractive Filipina woman and a not so attractive foreign man enter into a pension house....she looked so nervous when my companion back rider also a Filipina had seen her entering into the pension house with-out suitcases on the back of the foreigners motor....

The time of the day was around 2pm I could hear the man ask for a check in of around three hours time with the security guard. grabe!

Another case this past week involving  was when a sales lady aged 18 years old, was in a relationship with an Australian man and they had met over the internet.

The man came here to meet her and the two had taken on a relationship. Then when the couple checked into a resort in an out of town place in Valencia. The sales lady is allegedly accusing the foreigner of rape. The man who allegedly raped his girlfriend his name is in the newspaper write up and also his age of 60 years old. In my opinion if your accuse to a ledge someone as something as severe as rape you had better have your marbles put in a bag and be bold enough and sure enough to so that your not ashamed or for uncertain that your name cannot be mentioned in the write up?

This foreigner is innocent until proven guilty beyond any unreasonable doubt. If you mention his name her name must also be mentioned...mao ba!

The name of the woman was not in the write up it should have been in the write up as she is not at a minor age.

I realize the economy is not the best here, and i know Filipino rape women and young girls as well here but more often you always see the young Filipina going after foreigner man in a case such as this.....does it have anything to do with knowing the foreigner is more worthy in collecting money to help her family or own material needs. (Reminds all over again about the times when the late victim Martin Williams was accused of rape before being brutally murdered?) I have noticed this culture as a drama loving culture...And sympathy is played easily amongst the people here for their own race.
If it happens to an outsider never mind but if it somethings to a Filipino....then the people here care.
She should not have gone to the resort with her boyfriend to begin with....I thought this was suppose to be a descent conservative Catholic religion people province place?

US MARINE FOUND DEAD

A retired United States Marine was found dead inside his apartment located at purok 1 San Isidro, Tagbilaran City. The victim was identified as one Jesse Realoha Phoenix , 63, married and a native of Oakland Oregon, United States.

He was found lifeless by his wife last June 8 in their rented apartment. According to Nora Salera Phoenix, 34, a Boholana who hails from Clarin town, her husband suffered from post traumatic disease syndrome. His medicines which are shipped from America were delayed.

After four days without his medicines, she said the victim became stressful and was unable to sleep. She added that at dawn that day, he was sitting on the sofa to watch T.V. but was already dead about 6AM last Tuesday.

The victims body was brought to the funeral parlor for autopsy for autopsy after his death was reported to the police.

A follow up from two days ago. yesterday during the Mayor's normal weekly radio reports the mayor was insulting the media and putting them down in the chroncle/dyrd. Saying that they did not have anyone working there with journalism degrees....   Think again!

I must have to take this time to remind people that my friends who have contributed or been employed at Chronicle I know two of these guys pursued Journalism and mass media degrees at Stilleman University and University of the Philippines when the times of City'Hall's exposure had been raised in the twice weekly newspaper.

Now both these fine intelligent men are no longer with this outfit but one of them is still having stories submitted in the Chronicle. The most recent one who left the Chronicle is now writing for Inquirer from Manila and doing other simulated news across the country...he last worked at Chronicle around the beginning of campaign time.

One media writer even refused to be the writer for Mayor Lim during his campaign because he did not want to be paid to make someone look so good when he knows they are not...

I am not a hard butt I am an honest to the point butt head!!!

Jerry Pabe and his technicians are a team with a really great working attitude and with a the nicest professional work attitudes. I have never heard Jerry say bad words about anyone and especially not about the mayor.

I think whomever instigated this issue wanted brownie points with the mayor at the time of the election.

Jerry Pabe is a vetran and would not violate his KBP rights by bad mouthing anyone on the radio.

I am sad this has happened to some really nice people in my life.

Why is the church not helping out in this matter? Is it because Sr. Monson of the Cathedral is close to the mayor? The Catholic Church should help in this sittuation since Pabe is a Catholic brother and Mayor is not.

Foreigners are discussing amongst themselves if it is worth it to go into business here? Does anyone really want to fight the mayor for a business permit? The words for the past few years of several business owners are that they are operating for some time with-out permits.

I have seen and heard with my own eyes how this man operates sometimes I think I am living in the old New York days when the mob would rule and control the place no mater how thuggish and rugged they were.

I am not sure if any of you recall when an American man was run over and killed by a city owned water truck whose driver was drunk and coming home from a company Christmas party on the evening of December 21st.

The American had lost too much blood and time had run out on trying to save his life as the blood bank was also closed at the time of the accident.

The city police, the water truck driver and the city water department engineer had also failed responsibility to notify the city mayor about the fatality caused by his city driver.

The run over dead beaten corpse of the American laid in state over the holidays with out a flowers, or offers of condolences from the mayor or his staff to the Americans fiancee or to his child born to his fiancee from Mabini, neither a sorry went to the young American victims mother back home in the states.

In fact it was a media person who had waited all day to present the death certificate and pictures of the naked and very dead American who laid atop the morgue table,to what is known as "Little Mayor" Mark Monton.

Nothing was done but the next day the mayor had suspended the dakbayan''s water engineer, The mayor was interviewed on the day that he suspended the engineer for his failing to notify the Mayor of the internationals fatality.

The mayor told the media that he planned to help the family of the victim but later it turned out to be all lies as he never did a thing for the family in the states or the fiancee with her 3 month old baby at the time or ever until this day has never done anything.

The couple were planning at the time to conceal their wedding vows in January but do to uncontrollable circumstances of being fatally killed by a drunk driver of the city in city owned property (the blue truck still sits in front of the police station today.... It is growing over with weeds by now.....

Nothing has been done until now for the young lady and her baby. It was by the heart of a good ATTY. here who helped the two victims with getting legal paperwork done, and getting a dual citizenship for the baby since the father was an American.

The baby is now receiving her late fathers American benefits. If not for the Atty. with a good heart this two Mom and BB would have been out on the street living....

Many attempts were made personally to Mark Monton and the Mayor to help give assistance....but they refused with cold heats and lack of compassion........

Does not seem like my kind of person to qualify as the peoples choice mayor....how anyone could want a person who treats people bad when they are down even at their worst is not good enough to be qualified as a mayor in my common sense head.

I guess people here like yucky tasting birthday cake and a few dollars to tolerate this type of mayor.

He has done good things as well but it is the bad that you do or the people say you do in how you are remembered.

It is already over a month since the elections took place the city looks awful and there are gangs everywhere standing by... to do just god knows what next?

The man lacks compassion for the type of job he is voted in to do. He lacks fairness and is biased to people who do not worship him.

I have witnessed so much bad here in Bohol I question this place as being a conservative and well known Catholic/Christian province that it is known to be when you have this kind of people as local and provincial government persons.

During a media event in medicines were being burned at the time the mayor and deputy Uy told the media that "WE OWE NOTHING TO THE FIANCEE AND THE BABY SINCE THEY ARE NOT MARRIED!" Grabe attitude for a mayor.

I suppose if it was your son this had happened to maybe you would see it different? If it was your daughter and your grandchild I guess you would see it different than you care to see anymore than you have to right now.

I guess selling yourselves as cheap (sort of like prostituting) you glory will last a few minutes or fast couple of seconds when you have spent the money supposedly paid for your vote.

I would really like to read here why someone would honestly vote for someone who operates a public office the way he is accused and known for doing?

There are reasons why Philippines is a third world country..... Keep voting those type of politicians and the country will never progress unless you vote with compassion for a mayor who is good and fair and one who does not play games and one who has compassion for all his fellow brothers and sisters.

Tomorrow is Philippine Independence Day and there is no flag or any sort of decorations on or near to city hall that even patronizes the country or the holiday itself?

I had taken the campaign media experience as if it were being used as a popularity contest amongst other media..

I wished media would go back to being good.

Maybe the strategy used by the particular media man was psychological plot to try to dog out the political competition against his bet to win???

I am the PRO member and on the BOD of the Tagbilaran Club here in Tagbilaran City.

Our club would like to have fund raisers for the allowance of a cash to flow into a savings pot for the TBN show by holding such events as a concert a variety show but when confronting Peter Dejarasco in person about this manner he said the TBN Club is not allowed to have any fund raisers under the TBN name. That the members will only donate funds collected from the membership once a year.

He suggested that we have our fund raiser in another name.

I am almost frustrated in why are we a club to begin with if we cannot have fund raisers to add money to help poor people on the show especially during these added times of more need. I think rich people some are not thinking that yes there is a psychological side to poor persons when they are sick and and do not have funds. People with money take what being poor would be like for granted.

I think that with the high prices and the heavy demand of people needing help more and more these days it seems like the money will not last the same as in days in the past.

Some of the billings I see when giving the needy persons their pre-interview before going to appear on TBN are absolutely sky outrageous high in price!!! Starting at PHp160 minimum as high as I have ever seen one reach as much as PHP100 thousand plus!!!

That is just for medications alone.

Some services are not provided here in Tagbilaran therefore causing these poor persons to also go to the radio station to ask for boat fare.

We in Tagbilaran as well for the rest of the province really need to be thankful and blessed for those medical mission teams that travel through-out the province to the farest away of barrios helping the poor and the senior citizen out in a time of emergency medical need.

Bohol should also be proud of Fancy Baluyot for "THE GIFT of LIFE FOUNDATION".

Please anyone if you want to make an online foundation through TB I think now is a good time to start networking together and come up with a way to make Bohol a better place in the world.

A young lady who is suffering with a very painful swollen and toxic Goitar that has caused her speaking difficulty came to Radio Station DYRD in Tagbilaran City's popular nightly program known as "Tagbilaran By Night" asking help from the local listeners for her father who had an operation for an ulcer and also was found with other holes in his stomach.

The little lady is the daughter of Tirso Avenido from Bienvinedo Bohol when asking help from the listeners she was able to raise over PHp3.150.00 from some of the kindest and caring citizens of Tagbilaran.

I am sure this Boholano father has a lot to be proud about as she was able to buy all her dads medicines prescribed by the Dr. for her dad who is admitted in the hospital.

The young lady was so over whelmed and very thankful and very blessed for the generosity of the people.

She asked me if she could shout that....she loved radio DYRD very much!!! I told her it was not necessary.

Remember it is always better to give than to receive!!!

A massive vote buying wave and intimidation punctuated last Monday's election in the city.

Day after voting the malls looked to be like post election of the Philippines Ulan kwarta!  Many I mean daghan taw were out shopping and jam packing the malls to buy things that will last a couple days for something that they did that will be their sacrifice for the next three years.....

Regarding the post about the cig' butts not to be thrown down to the ground...NO! it is not being implemented here. You need more special cigarette cans along the sidewalks as lit up cig' butts will catch on fire in a normal garbage can.

While driving a motor or a scooter here is such a risk when one in the forward car throws his butt down onto the road and there happens to be a tail wind strong enough to whirl it up into the air it makes the one behind the car that is ahead who is using the world as his ashtray dodge and duck out of hell so as not to get a flying cigarette in the face!!

The vote tallying was fast but the process in getting to the machine was a like a fish jumping up a latter to get to a higher water elevation meaning it was hard to get to the PC.

Monday I had heard a belly full of bitching and griping about how long the lines were, and how people were cutting into the lines and some grumbled about senior citizens not having to wait and they were the number ones who were messing up the voters day in their over-all slowness and confusions as to how to shade in a box and whtever other old person ailment they had that slowed things up on that day.

One friend was given a priority number around 8am and her time to vote came at 6pm...and imagine that they wanted to stop the polls originally at 6pm.

Dampas was the hardest barangay in when it had come to getting things finally done and turned in.

I think over all despite city goons firing off guns and the tubigan mayor's car issue yestrday I would say things went rather smooth here....

I think you have all said how you feel about the results of the 2010 election. I truly appreciate your expressions and I am listening to each and everyone of your opinions.

Some comments made in here about the media were okay, even I was somewhat embarrassed about how some of them shouted and spit and ranted and raged into the radio airwaves while they were being paid to commentate for the politician who hired them. What ever happened to professional media mannerism.

I found their mannerisms for that kind work non professional and unethical as well as non genuine about the candidate they were talking about not all but some of them were honestly that way. Even I have a KBP but I am not acting like a sleazeball even when I do have a chance to speak over the radio. I am natural, friendly and being myself while being spoken to over the radio. Well that is what being a natural media is. he is to move along in his daily work as as non-biased, anti nasty and to just be himself. he also must go out in the field and get all angles of the news he is after. Some just rely on internet (the work of others instead of going out to get their own news.).

Some just go to the police blog only with-out getting any sides of the ones involved.

Some media here are so controlled due to big bucks and materials things being given to them by such politicians... Things even as big as having purchasing automobiles for certain media by rich politicians.
Many things are kept silent from the public in how/why certain power tripping media men act like their shiitola does not STINK!!! Often i am the one to say to them to ""Grab a gear!" or "real it in!" and followed by ""Are you that much on a power trip? One media guy even used the possessive term in saying (My radio station?) I was not aware this guy had even bought the station or that the station outlet was in his name when it comes to the license (What a dreamland he is truly in) I just laughed at the enormous EGO he had displayed in his answer to me and left it pathetically SOUNDING AS WAS!!!

With the luxurious gifts and monies and royalties they (Some media) receive they do not have much of a choice but to keep making that politician popular and sikat by giving the unrealistic as hell message's such as he is the best politician (Even when we know he is not because of his actions which are heartless especially to the poor)...ahem...oh this is just mere examples anyway... These media boast about their sugar daddy politicians projects??? What projects??? But you never see any results or projects being implemented until close to campaign time and when you do see some particular politician are even as cruel as to only allow those who voted for him to partake in such projects. Walay klaro!

I have sort of gradually phased out of media do to jealous colleague reactions time after time.I was tired of feeding major news topics to media friends who would get my news then write about it as a banner story. For me it was okay with my permission as there are some media guys who can write with a very gifted media talent here. I could never get the banner story as I was crabbed down often and sometimes often photo credits were never mentioned when I was the one submitting. If you know the work time and traveling and own expenses to find a news worthy story and the credit is not due than never mind the lack of hard work and dedication...For me I had to go up against a man who would write what he wanted to write just so long as it made him money. (white wash issues or blackmailing).

I could go on about certain media ethics/NON-ETHICS here and the back stabbing mean untrue things said behind my back when at the front they are looking so nice.

I know there are some really good media persons here they know who they are and they are the ones who I can ask advice they are the ones who give me a chance they know that I am working hard. I love them for that. I am human I am not perfect. Everyday I take life and hope to learn anything new no matter how hard i was knocked in my noggin!!!..LOL!

I may be an American, I may be human and a real one as I see it important to show oneself in their natural state. I am very forward but at the same time i have a good heart and an honest heart. I do love people very much.

I have also seen the best of the media here when after doing hard work not even having their own supervisors backing them up in certain situations when they are the ones telling their workers to go out and get the story. If they are sued so be it they stand alone in the court.....

My post thoughts about the elections results are...I am more thankful I am not a voter here, and that we in the states when voting are not being prostituted for votes. Many candidates are my friend none are perfect, but during the campaign I kept silent so not to hurt any of my friends running. Not cool to have them see me saying vote for another and not for them when I am a foreigner here for the past ten years .

I know what they are doing that is both good and bad.


There was a statement made in here that was really mean and so tactless it was the statement in where the writer had said something derogatory about Cesar Montano's son dieing.....That kind of stuff should be kept to yourself as it is so negative and mean and uncalled for. It was crude let's hope when that persons kids die that things like that are not said about him.... Things such as that have a way of coming back to haunt someone.....(I think the statement made many of us in here uncomfortable).

Freedom of speech is the best thing that ever happened for man it is both mentally and physically healthy for us to get things off our mind. if your not doing it to hurt people or call them names.

At many governor reports with the media here in Bohol i have tried many times to suggest the proper road signs and road warnings need to be posted through-out the towns and provinces...but it was never entertained.

now on the other hand when i had first met up with mayor Lim I had drawn him a sketch of city intersections that needed intersection lights to help keep the traffic safely moving along. Mayor Lim's assistant had kept that piece of paper for several year under her desk glass and with-in weeks Mayor had installed the first traffic light signal in the city.

Mayor Lim entertained the ideal so far of everyone here.

yes Grazie Butchie is re-elected he is a relative of a friend of mine here.

I also liked seeing BB Inting and Mariquet Oppus on the top ten for Tagbilaran council.

There were many popular names who had run for the opportunity to have a position on the council. I recognize the faces and know who they are related with here but as far as some of their civic or community projects funded from them or by them I have not a clue.

Being related to a politician does not mean they are also qualified to run for a political office does it?

I find often here that people vote for relatives, or if they are from the same town, or went to school together or who can pay for 20 pesos bill or more let's say 100 peso bill and 1500 I heard were being paid to voters in the local city election and the province....

Is that what you call a good way to vote for someone??? I never did get to hear the attributions of anyone or the platforms of any of them.... I heard a lot of media squabbling back and forth and spoke to relatives who were sick exhausted from the stress of the mud slinging and mean things being said and done to their relatives who were running in campaigns...

I do not believe in some of the people here so much after this experience, I do not believe they are as christian and honest as they claim to be here for the simple fact of many are being corrupted when involved in taking bribes for voting.
To me it is dishonest, cheating and making a bad name for Philippine persons and for this province if you do you like to be known as corrupt or doing corrupt? Even to stand up for it and make excuses for corrupt voting ethics that are a habit here is also not good.

It makes it hard on me on who i should trust as a friend here, your not a true or real person if you need to be paid to choice your politician it is sad a majority here are hungry and so desperate....It is reality.... yesterday i went to a local mall and for the 11th, of the month it was as if the day before Christmas it was very busy wall to wall as people spent the thousands that were given to them by candidates for vote buying the day before....

I watched as people stood in line waiting to be checked out at the counter doing the sign of the cross while resiting the Angelos as they were holding bribe money to pay for their groceries and make-ups with...I had seen unfamiliar faces in the mall dressed with their best and acting like kids running to candy to enjoy the luxury that they normally cannot afford to have on their own.

Yes' vote buying says a lot in what type of person you really are as well as a type of friend you would be. I will not buy a friend so why should i be bought by a politician.

God gave us a brain, heart and a good head to decide what would be the best decisions on our own with-out the illegal vote buying process.

I hope that not many of you are practicing your right to vote in this manner of vote buying?

I speak frankly I am appalled of what i have observed this election and all the corruption stories told by Filipino who cry about how their own country truly is until their eyes have turned into looking like papaya's? i ask you guys to stop complaining about it because you sound like a broken CD!!!

What do you expect when you use dirty money to vote for the same politician who you say before is making this country the way it is at present?

Despite the vote buying tactics here I am also happy at the same time that it was peaceful and safe here during the campaign and the election...many things are being kept hidden from the public as i know many persons here who are wearing bullet proof clothing as they have been threatened by the ones who some of you put back into office......I am not sure how much longer I can take it here....I find it to be so contradicting here at times...when things seem to keep me happily moving along something gets in the way and knocks my concentration down on trying to understand it here?

I am honestly not sure who is real and who is not real when things like this happen. I am not raised in this type of dishonest way. ...... I am sad..... I see why this is a third world country after ten years I thought things were going to be more honest this year....I was wrong for permitting even a slight chance of change to happen for the better of the people here...
