LOOK | Mr. Weljon S. Mindoro, the reigning International Boxing Association (IBA) Asian Middleweight Champion, paid a courtesy call to the Commander of the 1st Infantry (Tabak) Division on December 26.


A proud native of Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur, Mr. Mindoro has made remarkable strides in the boxing arena, boasting an outstanding record of 15 fights, with 14 victories all by knockout and 1 draw. His hard work, discipline, and determination have not only earned him the prestigious title of Asian Middleweight Champion but have also made him a beacon of inspiration for aspiring athletes across the region.


The courtesy call, held at the Division Hall of Flags, provided an opportunity for Mr. Mindoro to express his heartfelt gratitude for the unwavering support extended by the military and his local community throughout his career. He underscored the significance of discipline, resilience, and teamwork—core values that are equally essential in both the world of sports and military service.
