𝐈𝐍𝐂𝐈𝐃𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐑𝐄𝐏𝐎𝐑𝐓: The Coast Guard District Southwestern Mindanao (CGDSWM) has responded to a maritime incident involving one missing crew of RTM ZHENG HE, a Singaporean Flag Vessel (bulk carrier) travelling from China enroute to Australia on 26 December 2024.
Upon receipt of the information from the PCG Command Center, Radar Station La Paz of CGDSWM established communication with the Master of the said vessel, Ashok Chandru Krishna Kumar who stated that the missing crew was last seen at the port side main deck of the ship at 11:25 AM of the same date wearing dark blue reflectorized suit while the vessel is traversing at Lat: 07 degrees 25.93 mins North Long: 120 degrees 11.24 mins East or 111 nautical miles NW off Zamboanga City Pier.
Subject vessel is continuously conducting Search and Rescue Operation (SAROP) to the allegedly man overboard (MOB) together with MV HL HOPE and MV FEDERAL SUTTON who are coincidentally in the area.
The PCG deployed BRP CAPONES (MRRV-4404) to conduct Search and Rescue Operation (SAROP) on the missing crew of the said vessel on the given location.
Through radio, Coast Guard Sub Station (CGSS) La Paz, Radar Station (RS) San Ramon and Radar Station (RS) Rio Hondo advise all vessels transiting the area to be on the look out of the reported missing person, render necessary assistance and report the same to PCG.
