SC denied petitions questioning authority on Marcos burial

MANILA, Jan. 10 (PNA) – The Supreme Court on Tuesday denied the petition filed by Atty. Conrado Manicad questioning the authority of the high court and President Duterte on the burial of the remains of former President Ferdinand Marcos at the Libingan ng mga Bayani (LNMB) in Taguig City.

”The Court denied outright the petition dated November 22, 2016 which questioned the jurisdiction both of the President and the Supreme Court to decide on the issue of the burial of Mr. Marcos Sr,” SC said in en banc decision.

SC handed down the ruling allowing the burial last Nov. 8 in a 9-5 vote, the high court dismissed all petitions seeking to block the said move.

The burial of Marcos proceeded last Nov. 18. (PNA)

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
