LAOAG CITY — Secondary and college level students including graduates of any course who want to get employed in Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) companies in Ilocos Norte can avail of free training on communication for 18 days or 144 hours.
Ann Marie Lizette Bitancor of the Provincial Public Employment Service Office (PESO) announced this on Wednesday, saying the program is part of the province's efforts to generate more jobs.
She said the Technical Education, Skills and Development Authority (TESDA) in cooperation with the Laoag-based Datacom Institute of Computer Technology and Ilocos Norte government would offer National Certificate II training for communication skills.
She said the training is set this November for 200 slots available as of this posting.
Bitancor said applicants aged 18 and above may submit their application requirements at the PESO located at the ground floor of the Ilocos Norte Provincial Capitol.
Among the requirements are: resume, transcript of records or certificate of grades or diploma.
Bitancor said successful graduates of the said short term training are guaranteed to secure fast and reliable employment with the mushrooming BPO companies expanding in Ilocos Norte. (PNA)
