NICE KAAYO NI NA POEM: LYNN VI EBARITA
TITLE: Unborn Existence (JUNE 17,2005)
Confusion circles my already
deranged head
Dragging me without direction,
A feeling of helplessness convicts
Still unclear with my intention.
I skulk in the chamber of my fears
Not wanting a soul to know
Scared like a beaten rabbit
Though wanting my qualms to go.
I feel the condemning world on my shoulder
Thus making it hard to choose
But I secured my decision
Not knowing in the end I’ll lose.
The wind hustled by with an eerie moan
And as it slowly died,
I plundered my own flesh selfishly
And in agony I cried.
Conscience, please don’t slap me!
A disturbed lament is heard
My mind is so distorted now
My own life has been cursed.
The blinding light is focused on me
I can never hide nor depart,
Because every now and then I feel him
Sinking deep in my heart.
The snake behind me hissed with laughter,
I have accepted his offering
Regret sings me a melancholy
As I do my tears of mourning.
