i was wondering... they must have been arguing about something really big for this horrible thing to happen. baka di na pwedeng pag-usapan. she certainly could not have done this alone. i remember jonelle to be of a small built, she could not possibly lift a bag containing a body of another person let alone be angry enough to stab lynn 24 times!!! tibay gud ang sikmura sa nagbuhat ani oi. i'm just more interested on the topic because it's not everyday that you know someone that gets involved in such case. kakilabot

i know a friend of hers but i did not bother to bring up the topic kay mauwaw ko. i'm sure that she'll know about it in time. besides, she's on the headline.

would you know how long jonelle and lynn knew each other? she must have trusted jonelle enough to go with her to that hotel with the "cousin" that she just met.

let this all be a lesson to all of us. i know how easy it is to be comfortable with a person especially if you think that you have so much in common, but it's much better to be safe than sorry.

Vi was still texting her friends, was still communicating with bf even after she was dead already. (so it's possible somebody was acting as Vi)

The text threat that Jonelle received was from her own sim card, since her phone is dual sim.

Jonelle was the one who told their friends that Vi is missing.

Jonelle came out days after the body was discovered.

Call center slay suspect charged

Cebu - A murder charge was lodged before the City Prosecutors Office yesterday against the principal suspect in the killing of a call center employee two weeks ago.

Mandaue City police filed the complaint against Jonnelle Enfectana, a close friend and co-worker of TeleTech Call Center supervisor Lynn Vi Ebarita, soon after the Mandaue Hall of Justice opened at 8 a.m.

During the inquest proceedings, the police presented to City Fiscal Bienvinido Mabanto the affidavits of witnesses that could prove that Ebarita, Enfectana and another woman, who was also believed to be “involved” in the crime, were together prior to the killing.

Based on the account of the first three witnesses, at 12 p.m. on January 18, Enfectana called up the victim and asked her to bring the three cellular phones that were left in their house in barangay Cubacub and bring it to their Sinulog booth at the Fuente Osmena.

Ebarita, together with two others arrived with the phones at around 5 p.m. but left in a few while to have dinner with her two com

panions and returned at 6:30 p.m. Later, Enfectana arrived with a female companion, whom she introduced as her cousin named as certain “Evelyn.”

Enfectana told Ebarita that someone has invited them for a drinking spree and they left the booth at 8:45 p.m.

On the same date, at around 9:30 p.m., three other witnesses who are friends of both Ebarita and Enfectana said that they saw both the suspect and the victim together with a woman whom they did not know standing along the road. Ebarita allegedly called the witnesses’ attention and during their conversation, she introduced to them Evelyn also as her cousin.

The witnesses said they were amazed because it was almost 10 p.m. and Evelyn was still wearing a fisherman’s hat and black sunglasses making them think she was a peculiar lady. They also observed that Enfectana appeared bothered during the meeting.

At the police station, where they were shown a cartographic sketch of the suspect who registered at the Nekkei Garden Hotel as Tina Panganiban, the witnesses said they recognized that the sketch was the same woman that Enfectana introduced to them as her cousin.

During the inquest proceedings, police said that among the other circumstantial evidences is that they believed Ebarita’s cell phone was with Enfectana because the victim’s officemates were still receiving text messages from her even if she was believed to be dead already. Police suspected the text messages came from the suspect who pretended to be the victim to misled and delay the discovery of the brutal killing.
And because she has the victim’s cell phone, police said the suspect also pretended as Ebarita during a chat with victim’s boyfriend and use the “codename” which only Ebarita and her boyfriend knew.

The victim’s US based Fil-Am boyfriend also doubted that his girlfriend’s cell phone was with the suspect, and it is from where Enfectana knew the “name,” which he and the victim call each other when they chat or exchange text messages.

During the inquest, Enfectana also denied that she asked for a “police protection” contrary to what was earlier recorder in the police blotter that she asked for it after she allegedly received a death threat.

PO3 Protacio Tago said they granted Enfectana’s wish for a police escort as they also wanted to protect her after she received a “threat.” But they later learned that the suspect’s cellular phone was dual SIM and she just used her other number and sent the threat herself.

Police said Enfectana was arrested after they found out that the victim’s wallet was in her possession last January 28, but denied the suspect was restricted of her freedom to go out prior to that dates.

Enfectana’s lawyer Michael Enriquez questioned the way his client, saying it was a warrant-less arrest as it was no longer part of a hot pursuit operation. Mabanto, however, said it his office will be the one to determine whether the arrest was illegal or not.

Enriquez also objected to the number of hours before his client was brought to the fiscal’s office for the inquest.

Mabanto explained to him that the 36-hour reglamentary period is not consist of continuous hours but refers to the time that the fiscal is holding office. “Don’t expect me to be here at dawn,” he said. — /WAB (THE FREEMAN)

It's only an assumption of the police that Vi's cellphone was with Jonelle.
That's why they also assumed it was only Jonelle who kept on sending messages acting as Vi.

hayyy... i can say a lot of bad things about Jonelle from how i know her, i didn't know her that well though 'coz maybe my gut feel told me not to. back then i tried to talk to her, just for casuality's sake but i guess i just didn't need to try hard. not that interested, it was probably a good reason. LoL!

@kiamoy, i would consider that as a good thing. like i said, i'm a very friendly person. i have a lot of weird and crazy friends at first sight but i really try to get to know them better and it would turn out they're great, not necessarily perfect but great. pero kani sya wa jud ko'y effort, dai. i didn't turn away while she was there but something stopped me from befriending her. there was just something about her, but i certainly did not expect this.  it's just sad.

this would pretty much be a big thing from where Jonelle came from, especially back home. we're batchmates and we're both from tacloban, it's a pretty small town where almost everyone knows everybody. i'm sure when i go back they'll be all over it.

i guess you're right, maybe she's not.  siguro schoolmates and neighbors. but the thing that concerns most of us would be why and how it happened. same as other murder cases, we're all interested on the details.

At first, I din't want to judge her pero she did this all to herself. She lied. She told a different story at first. Then she admitted na naa diay cya sa hotel and then iya nsad gibawi? Nagtuo cguro cya na she can get away by making up stories (The way she does most of the time. She didn't realize that people from her former office knew she's a liar. No one told her 'cause she's the type who will never listen. Taas ug pride ug taas ang tan-aw sa iyang self).

Guilty unless convicted lage pero cya ra man ang gahatag ana tanan. Murag karon pa ko kadungog ug crime case na ing-ana ka troubling ang statements. Murag absurd jud. If it was a crime she intended to do, stupid jud pagkahimo. I don't know, ga-base ra man sad ko sa reports. We don't actually know unsa jud katinuod ang iyang mga statements. So sick oi. I don't want to be judgmental pero people are not stupid diba? If she's not the one who did it, why not give a simple honest answer? If she's covering something or someone, what is it? Is it more than or worth it sa pagkapriso niya?

By the way, I think it's really not that you really can't trust friends. It's  how you "Choose your friends." Vi was probably too kind and understanding to accept her as a friend no matter what. What a sad thing jud.

hi guys.. can i join your chat sessions.. the victim and the suspect are my oficemates in teletech.. i cant believe that jonnelle would do such a thing because the suspect and the victim were very, very close, i can see that they were almost like sisters.. but its damn true that jonnelle is soooo papansin, she would not even care always shouting some agents on the floor (office)...
