Vehicles parked in prohibited areas here will soon find their way into the city motor pool.

Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog announced that the city government will purchase two towing trucks to rid the city of cars which are being parked anywhere by their “irresponsible owners.”

Mabilog was positive that the city government would be able to immediately recover the fund that will be used for the purchase with a lot of vehicles being parked in prohibited areas.

The city through the Sangguniang Panlungsod has long been in possession of a Towing Ordinance but was not enforced due to lack of towing equipment.

The implementation of the ordinance, he said, will start immediately after the truck is already available probably by next month. - pna
