The city government received financial assistance amounting to P1.5-M for its clean-up campaign.
Mayor Jed Patrick E. Mabilog said Sen. Francis “Kiko†Pangilinan gave half a million pesos, while former Akbayan representative Risa Hontiveros shelled out P1 million.
“We thank these two officials for helping our city, especially in our bid to maintain our cleanliness,†the chief executive said.
The amount will be used to buy materials that will be used by street sweepers in order to make their job more efficient.
Mabilog likewise ordered the identification of areas here with no street sweepers so that additional manpower may be employed. - pna
