I thought you'd keep those melancholic pages of love letter private, but you passed it around, and many of your restless classmates at Divine High School in Tagbilaran were able to read it, and all of them desecrated my letter and mocked me because I wrote a love letter in Bisaya.

Thank you so much for bearing with me during my 3rd year of high school, I know that I was not the best person to talk to. I was always putting you aside whenever you wanted to do something or whenever you called me, I would just hang up my phone because I would be embarrassed to be associated with you. My friends always mocked me for knowing you, I tried to confront them before, pero they made it so that if i continued to see you, my friendship with them would end.

My parents also did not want me to go out with a non-Filipina and that was the major reason why I did not see you after our 4th date. I never told you how strict my family was, choices were not made by my own person, but by my own parents. Please understand and please forgive me for my inability to tell you the honest to God truth.

Perhaps I was to childish to recognize this. I made you wait for a long time, and the one time when you met with me outside of John's house crying was like a knife stabbing my heart. I could not console you because I did not know how to react. You needed me to hug you then, but I did not, I walked away as you called my name, "Al, Al, dont leave me." Yet I walked away. My heart aches still remembering it. I am so sorry, Pam. I was a fool, an adolescent fool.

I haven't even talked to you since, I dont even know where you are now. Are you still in New Jersey?

You did not dance with me during our JS Prom. I don't know why you had to hurt me that night. You instead danced with your ex-bf. The gnawing pain in my heart was that our classmates were all looking at me as you drowned yourself in a music that tore my soul apart.

I remember how I scampered out of our school premise, walked hurriedly to a small store nearby, used collected coins in my pocket to buy two bottles of San Miguel beer, put a lot of Snowbear candies on them, and drank the beer without innocent hesitation.

I was young then. I don't remember myself drinking beer except that night. Ah, yes, I did. Because of you.

When the waves of pain had subsided, I came back to our JS Prom, and there I was, perhaps like a mad man, failing to recognize who you were in the eyes of my trampled heart, lost in the disillusionment of an unrequited affection, groping in the darkness of your cruelty.

I still have a picture of myself taken on that bruised night.

I never forget those times nga magdala ka ug balde gikan sa puso with your sister, unya permi jud ta mag kasugat then your sister will always push you to say hi to me...(bukad sad ang akong atay adto) unya pa as if sad ko nga i did'nt hear anything.

Ah, K, my sister's closest friend. I like you. Hah! I admit it! I had a crush on you in high school and I teased you, but it wasn't because i disliked you, no, it was because i liked you.
