Dong, when you said about the toinking, I looked at my toink and I got toinked 4 times today!  Hahahahha  Basin he or she find it satisfying to toink so what can we do. 

It's sunny here today, Dodong but still I am lazy.  I watched a dvd left by my cousin here two weeks ago.  Aside from the Panaghoy sa Suba, this is the second Tagalog movie I have watched over the past 8 years.  The movie was starred by Piolo and Regine.  It wasn't that bad but I am not good movie critic either.

I had a very lovely day today, my father-in-law and his wife visited us this morning, we were expecting them to be here at 1 but as usual they came at 11, with my robes on, nag kara2x akong beauty ug ilis without taking a shower, or at least to look descent for them...i felt disrespectful to face them that way but what can i do?  (no big deal, *justify* )

When they left after two hours of very slow chitchat (kuoy-kuoy) i felt so much relief, it was a very uneasy for me visitation...

i have done so much afterwards, i removed all the dead flowers and pots, blow the dead leaves from front to back of the house...I was lifting my husband's blower that looks like my size, (can u imagine?) it was very fulfilling to see my porch front and back so very neat, i was beginning to blow the rest of the yard but unfortunately i ran out of gas, it was so much fun for me...i'll finish it tomorrow. My back started to ache hoping  this be gone soon...

A wonderful having a long webcam sesson with my girlfriend whom I have not seen and talked  since 23 years. Thanks to Mike's endless efforts!  We both didn't really know where to start and how to end-up our chat and web.....fun, fun, fun, and I will be visiting her and Family next year......and I am 100% sure  to make EB with my jolly/pretty cyber friend Bayat and b***t in L.A and we will be in Las Vegas!!! Yeheeeeeey! Pare Lorenzo, C2H4 and the rest..i want to meet and know them personally too!  Possible???

My whole day was spent in the laboratory. In fact I'm still in the lab right now, as I've been here since 8AM this morning (took a break to get dinner and attend mass at 6:30PM). The stress of finishing this research and my duties as a Teacher's Assistant for my professor is getting to me. Maybe its because its getting closer to the end of the semester, nonetheless, I got really annoyed earlier today when one of my students who helped me in the lab. **note that the lab that I work in is the physiology/anatomy/microbiology lab, which is highly sterilized due to the types of viruses, bacteria and cadavers inside the lab setting** Anyways, I had two students work for me, as part of their independent study, i deliberately told Alicia (one of the students) to becareful in taking out the treponema pallidum out of the cold freezer--due to its infectious material. She, knowing full well of what I told them (and I am very strict in the lab area) grabbed the tray of T. pallidum without laytex gloves, her white lab coat wasn't tied properly, and as a result, when walking to the lab bench where i was preparing test tube samples, she accidently lost control of the tray and half of the contents broke on the ground and spilled over the whole floor. My reaction was swift and outright. Okay for those who do not know what Treponema pallidum is, it is a bacterial spirochete which is responsible for the manifestation of syphilis and is extremely infective. I ran to the site and immediately rebuked the student and told her to immediately go to the emergency bathroom and shower. I had to call the infectious disease control department to clean up the mess and had to quarantine the area. Immediately told Alicia to go to the ER to make sure that the bacterium samples didnt' get into her squamous and columnar epithelium (dermal cavity)--i just found out today around 5PM that she was negative for syphilis, which was a sigh of relief on my part. I however had to report the case to Professor Kleinschmit and Ostrofsky, which didn't help at all. I tried, truly did try to be lenient with students who work under me in the lab, but this incident is one of the reasons why I am so sterile in the work place--due to the total embarassment that I went through today, I failed Alicia in her lab portion, and now do not allow underclassmen to work with me on weekends (which i used to allow for extra-credit opportunities).

Outside of the class, I am very jovial and open minded, but when it is in the work place i am quite the stern and serious kind of individual who does not tolerate inadequacy. How could she have forgotten to put on her gloves and hold the tray with both hands when I explained to these students of lab protocol and safety procedures? One thing that I cannot stand, particularly in the work place, is idiocy. I have little to no patience for it.

Delikado man gyud ang lab work, you cannot go in with a 'playful' attitude because one little accident can be disastrous.

I remember one classmate who was fooling around in the lab, and ended up pouring HCl all over himself, maayo gani wala na igo iyang mata.

You handled yourself well, dong. Kudos to you. You need to be strict with students man gyud pud sometimes, because they're at that age when they deliberately test you, see how far they can go.

Today was a great day, attended a lecture by Larysa Chovnyuk, the Director for International Cooperation from the National University of Kyiv Mohyla of the Ukraine. She was the same director that showed us around Ukraine when I studied abroad there for a semester in summer 2006. I had the chance to see her son, Yarislav, again and had a brief conversation about the current discourse in Ukraine. Brought back good memories from 2 years past. I should've taken pictures.

It was a horrible day at work today.

First, a little boy had an anaphylactic reaction to a medication prescribed by the doctor (and filled by us).

Second, our new intern misfilled a prescription and the pharmacist failed to catch the mistake, the patient was given the wrong kind of insulin, and as a consequence, suffered severe hypoglycemia. The thought that he could have gone into a coma and died was unnerving. I felt bad for the pharmacist.

It was very cold when i got up, but there was the sun shining. beautiful day for a walk, i went for a walk.
We had a very big brunch with my banana from IHOP, hmmm i love their SWEDISH pancake, my favorite...
we both have big omelettes (i didn't finished mine) and  some stuffed French toast with straberry toppings, it was soo good!
