had a long but very productive work day today. i just got back and now going to go get ready to go to the hospital, gonna do some reading afterward. i am grateful for the blessings this day, the challenges, and the comfort !

Today, the memory of my beloved Lola Nating flooded my mind as I was going to work. I miss her, I miss the sublime motherly love she showered on me and my sister and my cousins when we were still little kids. As a child growing up, both my parents were abroad (my father in Saudi Arabia, and my mother in the United States), the only constant in my early years was the presence of my Lola Nating and my Lolo Ciano. I can't help but cry when I think of her , beautiful thoughts and memories of yesteryears, her voice comes back and I can hear her again. I miss you, Lola. I look forward to the day that I will see you again in Heaven.

me too but sadly, he passed away in 2006 and i regret not saying thank you to everything that he did for me. i grew up as a spoiled brat because of him so maybe its the reason why I was so ungrateful towards him abi tawn nako nga natural ra ning mu-spoil cya nako

back in 2003, when lolo ciano came to live with us in usa, that night when i sat up with him to talk to him, he told me that story. he remembered event when na suko ko niya. we both cried because ...because we really missed each other. And i love him.

He is so special to me, Anna. The very reason why I went back to Philippines in 2010 was to see him. When I arrived in Philippines, first day ning abot ko sa Tagbilaran, i even told my father's side of the family that i will see them later. My first priority was to visit my Lolo in Valencia.

The time is 12:30 am and i just got home from work. had a long 12 hour shift, after work, attended class for my Ph.D program. I'm now on my 4th doctoral class and its called "History of Conceptual Psychology". Finally a class that I like..i admit..one of the reasons for my interest in this class is that it delves more onto Greek philosophies than the proverbial medicine and psychological theories that i see so much at work. I love this class. There are only 14 doctoral students in my class...so i like it because we have a nice tight bunch of doctoral learners. There are two people who i've befriended already: Alfredo and Timothy. Alfredo is a Ph.D candidate in Industrial Organizational Psychology and Timothy is a Ph.D candidate in Organizational Leadership. Both of them are executives at Prudential Life Insurance, a major health insurance company here. Their regional headquarters for the midwest is here in Chicago..lol. Good to network with these two gentlemen.

So, what am i doing? I'm , aside from browsing TB, working on a paper that is due tomorrow. Then reading 2 chapters.

Truly, the sweeter things in life are challenging.

Enjoying my cup of warm black coffee (with 2 splenda, no cream) as I write this paper. Ah, life is good...

I feel a bit nostalgic today, i don't know why. Gimingaw ko niya...

Today was the Birthday of my younger brother, Mr. Albrando Rico Lucino. He turned 20 years old today. He is a 2nd year college student and majoring in Pre-Medicine. I am so proud of him, following in the footsteps of his older brother. Proud of you, Doy. I know you can do it, Doy! Happy Birthday and Keep up the great work.

Today I presented a lecture on the topic of rationalism and empiricism in context to Hobbes' and Lockes' concept of sensory perception and image and memory formation. After my presentation in class, I submitted my 15 paged written paper on said subject matter. A special thanks to Kopiko "astig" coffee bag that kept me awake !

It feels good to be home. Arriving in New Jersey was memorable, my beloved mother picked my sister, Lorraine, and I at the Atlantic City Airport on the 6th of June. Been home for the past 2 days now.

Today I bought a dozen blue shelled crabs and boiled a dozen corn for lunch. Ning luto pod ko gamay for my brothers and sister.

Tonight, I plan on visiting my Uncle Steve and Ante Beth. I surprison nako sila. hehehe.

The feeling of being home...is indescribable. I thank you Lord Jesus Christ for the grace and blessing of being around my beloved mother, father, sister, and my younger brothers. Thank You, Lord...

Karon pa nakabalik sa work... na over fatigue bitaw ko so I need a full time rest gyud... Thank you Lord for taking care of me ^__^ Life is beautiful!!!!

I was accepted for a loan to purchase the LR4, and am now considering if I should go ahead with the purchase of this new beautiful truck. Am trading my old 2003 Mitsubishi Montero Sport for the 2013 Land Rover LR4.

Today, I am in contemplation and prayerful thoughts of my Tito Bartholomew, who was a long time friend of my family. He was good friends and classmate of my uncle, Alex, during his childhood days in Valencia. I will remember his wonderful, beaming smile, his laughter and overall bright and goodness that he exuded to those around him. He was a good man, a God-fearing man. I can't help but cry.

May God have mercy on him, and most of all, may God grant strength and comforting care to his family, most especially his wife, and his children and grand children.

well, that was fun yesterday, me and my friends went for house trip in newly developed subdivision in Davao, went malling after that, ate at Ice Giants and went home to Digos, sleepover at another friend's house and had a non-stop chatting with them...

nanakit akong abaga ug right arm ug hinimo sa 54-day rosary novena by integrating all ways of praying it, including images of the 4 mysteries.  now on my third day at it.  hapit na gyod mahuman, after more than 50 pages.  ako ning i-distribute to all relations and very close friends for them to decide to pray this for my sister's healing. 

today was a day of contemplation as there are a great many things that require my decision on life choices. i trust in God's providence and guidance and that He will lead me in decisions. In my life, I had always taken the notion that i was the master of my own life, however, it is not necessarily so. I place my total dependence on God's divine providence and insurmountable presence in this poor man's life. For it is He who truly is in control, all the time.

that said, i look forward to a good day ahead.

remember, dear friends, God Is Good..all the time. Praise Him in times of joy, Praise him in times of trial, Praise him in times of pain...

This afternoon is a good one, filling up the last things for this particular course that I'm attending. I've also discussed to the Dean of the university of my pondering on resigning as the Director of the Department of Allied Health and General Education. I've been accepted for an internship position at Mercy Medical Center and I'm quite excited.

The Dean, whom I've befriended these past few months now, wanted me to reconsider my decision. She offered me, instead of resigning completely, to go part time as an Adjunct Professor of Medical Surgical class and Pharmacology.
