two weeks ago, naay iro naligsan sa atubangan sa amo.  ako ang nanawag sa animal shelter (aron way makauna ug hunahuna nga tiwasan na lang), wa nako biyai hangtod gikuha sa taga-animal shelter.  maayo gani kay nibayad ang tag-iya sa iro sa tanang gasto.  (otherwise, ready na ko mosawo, bahala na.)  na-operahan ang iro (ang bukog sa iyang hips natarok intawon sa tiyan), nahospital duha ka semana, karon naa na siya, nagdahikdahik tuod, pero padung na maayo.  i never give up on a sick or suffering animal.  i wish you well with yours.  hinaot nga naay pain reliever meantime ang imong mingming while you decide on his fate.

thanks, ms isles.  sakit jud akong dughan.  gabak-huay jud ko.  he doesn't seem like he is complaining of his condition but he is obviously uncomfortable.  naa na gani mura'g wound kay sige kana'ng pagdahik nya.  my poor mocha.  i thanked my mocha for always being there for us ilabi na naa mi sa garden, he keeps us company.  kon ako ra isa sa garden, i don't feel alone at all kay naa man sige'g uban-uban.  kulang na lang tabangan ko.  i never thought i could love a cat like this.  the tought of not having him is hurting me so much.  sana i come to terms na i let go na sya but di pa nako kaya jud.

ms isles, a year ago, he was not eating anymore so my husband took him to the pet store that has vet. the vet said our cat is old already.  there was a food supplement that was given.  if di daw maayo kay niwang naman to sya, ipa "sleep" na lang daw.  that's why i don't want to take him to the vet because i know they are just gonna suggest the put him down kay 24 years old na bya tawon akong mocha. 

kon unsa ko kahadlokan ug doctors, mao pod na akong kahadlokan for my cat.

wow!  24 years old!  congrats.  he has a long life.  my balthax who died recently was only 5 years old.  he was just extraordinarily fat that's why his resistance was so low, the vet said.

years ago, i had to make a terrible decision about my dog.  he was already too far gone with distemper.  right from the beginning, the vet told me that his chance was 50-50.  my answer?  i'll take the positive 50.  the process went on for a month; i wake up early, buy the day's supply of medicines and intravenous food, and go to the veterinary clinic where he was admitted.  i hardly had my mind on my job.  i was too focused on bong's (the dog's name) survival.

the vet knew that i was resolute in not taking any advice of putting the dog to everlasting sleep, so she talked to my friends and relatives.  at that point, all my money was gone, yet i insisted on looking for more money to cope with the dog's medical expenses.  soon, friends, including nuns, visited me at the office.  slowly they prepared me for the worst.  it turned out that the vet had finally told them that my dog will never heal and that only the medicines and intravenous sustenance were what kept him alive.  the thoughtful vet was already worried about my expenses.

let go, let go, they told me.  i didn't go home; i spent the night at a friend's house and cried myself hoarse the day i finally let go of my dog.

yes, graze, it's terrible, terrible.  we owe it to ourselves to grieve.  it is our privilege.  but as long as we open ourselves to the grace of redemption, in time we manage to heal.  and move on.

yes, graze, it's terrible, terrible.  we owe it to ourselves to grieve.  it is our privilege.  but as long as we open ourselves to the grace of redemption, in time we manage to heal.  and move on.


 

i feel that Mocha is not gonna be okay anymore considering his condition right now plus his old age, ms. isle. and i fully understand what you and bella and raquel are saying.  i trully do.  but there's a disconnect between my brain and my heart.

it is midnight here.  just got back from where Mocha is.  i had a long talk with him while i gave him his midnight snack.  i told him i am gonna let go of him na.  after this weekend.  this is not easy at all.  Mocha is my first pet, you know.

thank you so much, ms isle, for being there understanding what I am going through.

sa tumang kahadlok sa dentist kay gihatagan na lang ko nya ug 2 ka anesthesia ug 21 ka amoxicillin.. sa brgy. health center lang man ko ni adto kay P50.00 ra bayad.. moadto na lang jud ko ani sa akong dentist this saturday...
