Fish Salad
« on: July 19, 2007, 03:33:53 AM »
Just finished making a reply to yadz in the thread "kinsay kinalamian moluo", I remembered this strange mix which I fondly call fish salad:

Ingredients:

Fresh Fish meat (I prefer the large meaty fish, i.e., tanguigue, tuna) cubed
ginger finely chopped
finely chopped onions
sili espada ( i don't know its English name basta kay it's long and green) finely minched
mayonaise

Procedure:

Put all togther in a bowl and mix. Vinegar is a big no no because if you put it in, then it would just be like an ordinary kinilaw.

I haven't tried it yet but for those whose stomach can't tolerate any sour, acidic ase, you may substitute mayonaise with nestle cream. Add a bit of salt to taste. Enjoy :)

How about kinilaw? Is it healthy to eat raw fish?
