At least three mild quakes shook Agusan in Mindanao and Bohol in Central Visayas at midday Friday, but state seismologists said no casualty or damage was reported.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the first quake was recorded at 10:54 a.m., 15 kilometers east of Butuan City. It measured magnitude 3.6 and was tectonic in origin.
Phivolcs said the first quake was felt at Intensity II in Bayugan town in Agusan del Sur province. No aftershocks were recorded.
The second quake took place at 11:01 a.m. in Bohol province in Central Visayas, and was tectonic in origin. It measured at magnitude 3.3 and the epicenter was traced 48 km northeast of Tagbilaran City.
Intensity III was felt in Anda and Guindulman towns in Bohol, and intensity II in Duero, Mabini in Bohol. No aftershocks were recorded.
The third quake was recorded at 11:04 a.m. and measured magnitude 4. It was tectonic in origin and the epicenter was traced 25 km southeast of Butuan City in Agusan del Norte.
Intensity IV was felt in Butuan City and Bayugan in Agusan del Sur; and intensity II in Cabadbaran in Agusan del Norte, and in Davao City.
No aftershocks were reported in the third quake.
