Today was a long, long, tiring, yet fulfilling day.
Today was our Medical School Orientation; which allowed me and 50 other 1st year medical students to talk to staff, professors, and most of all to one another. I was able to make a strong connection with some 1st years such as Vince, Shalabh, Jeff and Steve. Vince is like me; straight out of undergraduate college and has a strong background in biochemistry and molecular biology. Good guy, and both of us decided to get mountain bikes for transportation. Its not that bad as its only a good 10 minute bike ride from our apartment complex to medical school.
Today, I met alot of 1st years. Its so funny to observe the mannerisms of medical students because at first when we entered the student's lounge, we all sat quiet. Sitting so providential, eloquently stiff and deathly quiet. lol. After someone ushered a cough; then out of no where people started to make small conversations. Then out of no where the entire student's lounge was loud. haha.
I got my schedule for this fall semester. The classes I have are: Medical Histology, Gross Anatomy, Anatomical Lab (w/ cadaver), Histology Lab, Human Embryology and Medical Legal Ethics. Classes start on 8 AM, and end by 5 PM. We have an hour break from 12pm till 1pm.
Work, work, work!
Hoping all is well with everyone here in Tubag Bohol! I miss all of you guys!
Best,
Bran
