Homesickness creeps up out of nowhere. For me, I've lived through 4 years of homesickness during undergrad. Now another chapter of homesickness begins, lol. Pero you know thank God we have the phone to call home. That and the webcam to see our family members. Good friends make the journey worth the while and they do lessen the effects of homesickness.

OT: Inday, when does your first day of classes begin? I bet you're all excited? :P

working diay siya the same time sa studies? kuyawa kaayo! More power to your daughter, Tita. That is what I call a true student :)

For me, Tita, the M.D program is 4 years, but an additional 2 years will be added for the completion of the Ph.D dual. So in all around 6 years. More years of demanding study and review is ahead.

Good luck to all of us. Because we are all students in some form or another.

OT: Most of my colleagues in undergrad are either starting their first year in Medicine or their Ph.D doctoral studies; I have 2 friends who are pursing their doctoral degrees in Organic Chemistry; one who is going into Physics, four who are going into biochemistry/molecular. Two who are going into Law proper and one very good friend who is pursuing a career in theater. Reading your post, Tita, reminded me of our last conversations we had with one another back in May. And it just hit me that we won't be finished with our studies until we're all old. hahaha. As in nearing 30 years haha.

O I do hope that most of them will be able to keep in contact; and keep our friendships intact. One can only hope, specially in our ever-changing and spontaneous world that we live in.

:)

Cheers,

Mao tawon dong, nugon man pod d niya gamiton ang iyang chemistry degree, she is working @ one of the company here in Australia as an researcher and developrment chemist, Iya na gasto tanan karon, wa na miy labot gusto man siya mopadayon sa iyang damgo nga mag lawyer siya. mao gi encourage na lang pod namo siya. Gud luck to my lovely daughter na lang, nuat nga ma succesful siya god willing.

Bahin sa imong mga friends dong, ohh they will contact you one day, just give them time.

Ayaw pod ingna nga old na mo dong, 30 yrs old is not old, just say older hehehehe, ana man jud ang kinabuhi nato di ba. God bless to all students. labi na nimo  dong.

Mao lagi, Tita. Pas-pas ra jud kaayo ang time no? I was talking to one of my colleagues from college the other day and one thing that we talked about was reminiscent days of our freshman and sophomore years in college. Its so surreal how time just passes; I mean I can still remember frolicking with fellow undergrads in the fall of 2004. lol.

My one very good friend, Lisa, who is a 1st year Law student in New York told me how she felt so old in her first day of Law School Orientation. One minute we were still undergrads having our typical conversations in the campus center over a nice cup of chai latte or cappuccino. And now here we are in our different paths. She, in Law School, and I, in medical school.

One thing we agreed on was that the level of stress we both are experiencing are mutually equal. LOL!
Hahahaha. She, being inundated with legal briefs and cases and historical timelines. And I, already covering my face with books upon books. Ay dios ko.

One thing is a constant tho. Stress.

It never ceased to bother me in undergraduate college. And now, it seems to have become my best friend. :P

One thing I learned throughout this 'growing' process is the ability to take things the way they are. And most of all, finding the goods and positives of every single situation.

You're right to, Tita, that friends will contact. One finds out who his or her real friends are that way.

:)

I extend my warm salutations and my absolute regards to all who read this; and find themselves agreeing to my point.

It starts September 2. I'm excited to see all my friends, but I know that I have to focus on my schoolwork as much as possible this semester... lol

What a small world indeed! Orientation starts on the 1st for me and 1st day of Medical School is on the 2nd of September.

Inday!! All i can say is to enjoy your undergrad. Study hard, focus hard, but also make sure to make room to have fun and relax and just enjoy the college atmosphere. Because once you finish it jud, one wishes to be back there again. lol.

Wishing  you all the best and hoping you have a successful and opportune year!

God Bless,
Kuya

Today I met and talked to some fellow medical students. We're all getting ready for orientation to start; they made jokes about my 'bones' lol.

Well I named my skeletal model as 'Mr. Boney' so jokes were circulated around hahahaha.

There is a cute girl in my anatomy lab group tho. Beautiful kaayo bajiha.

Lami i-kisson. hahaha :P

Did basic auto maintenance today on my Mitsubishi. Changed oil filter, changed and filled radiator coolant, windshield wiper installments, windshield fluid, added more power steering fluid. Then general clean up/vacuuming of my SUV. Interior clean up.

She looks like brand new again. :)
