Ephesians 2: 18-22



For through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father.  So then you are no longer strangers and aliens,  but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God,  built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord.  In him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit.

When we make a decision to glorify God by not lying about a product, or making sure that we work an honest days work, or when we hold ourselves that is not popular; we will face persecution. This comes with walking in integrity before God. For those who do so, God has promised his kingdom. This is the stuff of greatness before our Father in heaven. Even despite being persecuted for Glorifying His Name unto the world....~

The apostle Paul applies the strength of God both to good and bad circumstances. He is basically saying that the gospel gives him the power to process victory and defeat similarly: as under the hand of God.

How we handle our victories is also the way we handle our defeats. When our identity is in Christ and not in our achievement, success and setback are held in the same hand.

When God the Father sent his only Son to earth on a rescue mission, he gave to us generously-the best that he had! We too are to live generous lives, being “rich in good deeds”. By sharing what God has given us for his glory, we can store away treasures in heaven. Life that is truly life is a life lived giving and displaying God’s infinite generosity to the world. This is what we were created to do!

People who aren’t spiritual can’t receive these truths from

understand it, for only those who are spiritual can understand

The gospel gives us an interesting paradox: to be free from sin we must recognize its grip on our lives. In other words, sin is a reminder that we need a Savior! No matter how long one has walked with Christ, we are in constant need of forgiveness. Yet this confession of sin creates another force – righteousness.
