Roco graces WNC AV Center inauguration
BACOLOD CITY, Oct. 01 2002 (PNA) - Former Senator and Education
Secretary Raul S. Roco was the special guest during the blessing and
inauguration of the West Negros College Audio-Visual Center today,
Tuesday, October 1, at the Wesnecans' main campus along Burgos Street
here.
Roco spoke on "Moral Regeneration: What's Good About It?"
during the opening ceremonies at the WNC Audio-Visual Week
Celebration.
Bacolod City Mayor Luzviminda S. Valdez and 5th District
Congressman Apolinario Lozada, Jr. also guested in the afternoon
session, and spoke on "Women in Politics and the State of Affairs of
Bacolod City" and "Environment: Our Moral Responsibility,"
respectively.
The Georgina G. Agustin Audio-Visual Center of WNC is named
after the wife of WNC's past president, the late Leodegario Augstin,
and mother-in-law of WNC incumbent president and Board chair Lt. Col.
Suzette A. Agustin.
The 250-seater fully air-conditioned auditorium, equipped with
modern and state-of-the-art facilities has been dedicated to help
"enhance the ocmmunity's way of life in the areas of education,
culture and the arts."
The affair will have Mrs. Georgina G. Agustin as guest of honor
and will also be attended by members of WNC Board of Trustees. (PNA)
