According to P/Sr. Supt. Ricardo I. Padilla, provincial police
director, the arrest rate leaves 10 more wanted persons to be
arrested .
The arrest of two and the killing of another were the latest
feat of the provincial office after its elements staged an operation
against the Pitik-Pitik Gang, an organized crime group responsible
for the series of bus hold-ups and operating in the two provinces.
Killed in the process was Alex Montala Y Ruego of Mulanay,
Quezon Province, while those arrested were Aldrin Tinoy Y Bantayan
and Alan Yasores y Ringo, both residents of Molaregoy, Davao
Oriental, but presently residing in Marikina.
The operation resulted in the recovery of three .38-caliber
revolvers, eight cellular phones and some P8,900 in cash.
Of the total arrests made, three most wanted persons were
netted. They are Samuel Madriaga, Jimmy Natividad and Ronnie dela
Cruz, who were all charged ranging from murder to multiple murder.
All of the suspects were arrested by joint elements of the
regional intelligence and investigation division of the police
regional office and the police stations of Baggao, Alcala and
Ballesteros, all of Cagayan.
The arrest of the suspects were done as a result of the
intensified campaign against organized syndicated crime groups
operating in the province, Padilla said.
Meanwhile, the provincial police director has expressed optimism
that the local populace will continue to cooperate with the law
enforcers for the arrest of more suspects to effect a more peaceful
Cagayan. (PNA)
