Tenk you madam

This was shot mid-day around 10 am. I was trying to include the sun behind the subject para naay back lighting para ug mo glow ang outline sa subject but unfortunately the sun hid behind the clouds.

Step to replicate this shot.

1.Set your cam to Manual and dial in the aperture,  also set your off camera flash M and set it somewhere 1/62.
2. Place your subject and use your flash as a fill to illuminate the subject.
3. Play with the aperture and flash setting to give you the desired look.
4. If you want a darker background just raise the aperture(e.g. f5.6->f8) then adjust the flash power.

ok ba? Kung naa mo pangutana just let me know. Cheers

Manay sa akong nabaw-an, nga naa silay  madawat  as bajad sa mga yuta nga giilog gikan nila sa una. Kanang ginagmay nga yuta nga gi puy-an nila gitawag na ug reservation, dayun mag tapok ra na sila sa reservation pwede ra sad dili. anyhow, ang gobyerno mopahuwam ug kwarta to run an  Indian Casino para ang income mauy i supporta sa mga Indian. Marama jud ning gobyerno noh? hahahha! They are very well  taken care jud from housing down to health insurance and medical stuff apil tambal.

Bay Jer,

I dont know what happened to my D40. I usually do not use flash photography so i would usally fo apperture or speed.

Just recently, i noticed that when i go auto-flash, it would not deploy anymore. Just wondering if i messed with the setting? or something?

Please help

Hmmm, it should deploy when in Auto but not in P mode. Not sure bay unsay reason, its been quite long since i viewed a D40 Menu..heheh

http://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/d40/users-guide/controls.htm

Try deploying the flash manually by clicking the flash button and manually firing the flash. I try lang kung mo fire ba. If dli gani mo fire bisag manually deployed mao na prob ron.

For me i really don't use the pop-up flash that much kay I would prefer the off camera flash.

Selective coloring of an image can be useful to highlight a particular item or to suppress a 'messy' background. This post processing technique can be use to force the viewer to focus on a particular subject within the image.
