Briefly, in all things we have to let God be the judge. Let us take a special care sisters and brother in Christ, to beg this Mercy of Him and not to be careless, for it is the most generous alms to pray for those who are in mortal sin labi na ang nangamatay nga naghikog. Inay mag away mo diri maghiusa nalang kaha tang tanan nga iampo si Mr. Reyes. Nagkatawa gyud ang devil ninyo kay nagpadala mo sa inyong gibati diri.
Well, then what if through your prayer labi na nimo Lorenzo the chain could be loosed? The answer is obvious. For the love Of God I ask you always to remember in your prayers all the souls in mortal sin labi na tong nanggihikog. Tinuod daghan gisulat sa bibliya pero mas dunggon man siguro sa Ginoo atong humble prayers kaysa magsegi nalang ta ug lantugi diri ug nahilangit ba si Pedro ug wala.

I must be dreaming!!! I thought I died and went to H--L!!! (ni jumped na baya kos cliff sa akong earlier post kay hopeless case naman ning usa deri tawon). I thought Lorenz said, "I rest my case." Dili man diay I REST MY CASE, HOPELESS CASE man diay  ;D

Igo kaayo sa gisulti ni William Penn in his description of The Vain Man: "And yet perhaps the worst Part of this Vanity is its Unteachableness. Tell it any Thing, and it has known it long ago; and out-runs Information and Instruction, or else proudly puffs at it."

that should not be an excuse for ignorance of the Word of God. Before you object to biblical verses , which are cosignatory to Divine Truth, in conjunction with Holy Tradition, then you should evade in the negative tone in regards to direct passages from the Holy Bible.

ahhh, now that explains your propensity for quoting the bible.  you believe some of us here are ignorant about the word of god.  you seem fond of practicing the virtues, chief among these being the virtue of self-promotion.   thanks then, spiritual sage.

You had the audacity to poke fun of the verse from Book of Revelations, as if to indicate that you do not believe in the horsemen of the apocolapyse, as if to infer that you do not believe that the writings of St. John of the Divine, should be taken seriously. Consideringly, it must have been taken seriously since it was approved by the CATHOLIC CHURCH during the compilation of the bible, as well as later being retained by even the protestants , specifically martin luther.

you don’t get it, do you?  my oblique joke was on your claim that the revelation is literal.  so there, I showed you what literal is.  mine was never against the writings of st. john.  sorry to disappoint you about that.   (but what is it to you then, what I believe in?)

i would still believe in the book even if it were batman who quoted from it and i will still make a joke if he added that it’s literal.

Just to imply lang, my little 'dahlin', before you start shrugging verses from the bible, please also know that these are Divinely Inspired material and were written under the influence of the Holy Spirt on these writers, namely apostles , or disciples.

oh?  really?  hahaha, thanks for this info that I never knew about.   it looks like I never really knew that this is just what you needed to tell me all along.  i’m floored.   i hope you get canonized soon enough for being such an evangelizer and  proselytizer.  how sweet of you.

God Bless You!

god bless you too despite your unforgiving self.

Ah, without a heart, without compassion.... Tsk, tsk, tsk...

Compassion is the basis of all morality. -- Arthur Schopenhauer

The whole idea of compassion is based on a keen awareness of the interdependence of all these living beings, which are all part of one another, and all involved in one another. --Thomas Merton

The value of compassion cannot be over-emphasized. Anyone can criticize. It takes a true believer to be compassionate. No greater burden can be borne by an individual than to know no one cares or understands. --Arthur H. Stainback

Compassion alone stands apart from the continuous traffic between good and evil proceeding within us. --Eric Hoffer

Thank you for sharing your most illustrious career in biblical study. Unbeknownst to you, my little dear, is that I attended a prestigious private college in the United States. In my stay as a Molecular Biology & European History double major (while under the competitive pre-medical track), i managed to minor in religious studies. I studied the Q'uran for 2 whole semesters, 1 semester on Intensive Middle Eastern History, as well as 1 Semester on Christian Historiography, 1 semester on comparative religious text (bible, tanakh, and the q'uran), let alone was an active member on our Collegiate Catholic Newman's Society (a collegiate body that focused on catholic study, as well as intensive biblical study).

I was also humbly selected as a Collegiate Trustees Scholar (through my humble knowledge in things, was awarded a scholarship of over $35,000 + an additional $ 75,000;  then selected as one of 15 students out of a list of 500 to attend a study abroad program in the Ukraine..which was based on one's GPA and academic standing).

Proverbs 25:27

Too much honey is bad for you, and so is trying to win too much praise. (TEV)

Your request is noted, Raquel. I will include Reyes' family as well as Reyes himself in my prayers. Thank  You for your honest and heartfelt request. I am touched. :)

Are you really having a change of heart, Bro Enz? Have you been touched that deeply by Raquel's heartfelt request, i.e., to pray for Angelo Reyes' soul and all the souls in purgatory? If so, then in your heart you don't really believe AR was assigned/chastised to the fires of hell, do you? Then, stay that way (do not be stubborn). We need to dispel your fear: nobody ever said that suicide or self-muder is morally right but for reasons beyond our human understanding (absolute kind) there are people who still commit such. And yet, for those who do, leave the judgment to God who is God and who is the JUDGE, not us, you or anybody else. If you can maintain such humility and self-sacrifice (self-emptying vs your deceptive feeling), people might stop barraging you with "piko," "lansang," "maso," "martilyo," "kutsilyo," "baki nga pistolero," "catmandu samurai" etc.  :P :P ;D

My change of heart was  because of the constancy of Raquel's response. Such merciful request and openness to share her own feelings and personal experiences with death, must, have come not from her but through the Holy Spirit. I was touched in the beginning with her first response to me. The last one was powerful enough to make me consider with tears.

Please understand , Fr. Roel the basis for my reasoning and the necessity in my sharing it. Talking over it. As a Catholic, we all find things we agree or disagree with in the Church. Throughout the length of this discussion, I realize that there are some things that requires Church interpretation. And requires the wisdom of the Church amongst its fold. So with this last testament, I will relinquish all that I said earlier about condemnation of the soul. You are right, it is not ours to condemn. That belongs to God alone, who is Judge, Jury and Prosecutor all into one.

I will pray for the soul of Angelo Reyes before I go to bed tonight. May God be merciful to the souls in Purgatory.

Truly,
Lorenz

It was really frustrating, for me, as a Filipino that he killed himself just like that. i think it was an easy way out for him, so frustrating, because the truth didnt come up. and what about the high hierarchy of the corrupt people behind of Mr. Reyes? will just laugh out loud kasi abswelto na naman sila? God Bless, Philippines!

he should have told everything then paid for somebody to kill him..
