(Reuters) - The anti-secrecy group WikiLeaks said it would begin publishing more than five million emails on Monday from a US-based global security think tank, apparently obtained by hackers.

In its latest high-profile disclosure, WikiLeaks said in a statement it had acquired access to a vast haul of internal and external correspondence of Strategic Forecasting Inc (Stratfor), based in Austin Texas.

Stratfor describes itself as a subscription-based provider of geopolitical analysis with an intelligence-based approach to gathering information.

WikiLeaks' founder, Julian Assange told Reuters: "Here we have a private intelligence firm, relying on informants from the US government, foreign intelligence agencies with questionable reputations, and journalists."

na, ka-thrilling ba ani... i can hardly wait.  it's the damage control i'm after, not the leaks.  malingaw kog unsaon paglihay-lihay sa mga hingtungdan nga mangabisto.

islander, you want to download all the data Wikileaks has in its disposal? it's 29 gigabytes. I can send you the link.

i can't fathom the extent of gigabytes, but i feel my poor laptop isn't up to it.  thanks anyway, mol.  it's a good enough indication of the limits of what i should read.  i'll settle for the summaries in the news.  i'm more inclined to read everything in tb from the beginning, for which i hardly have the time nor the good eyesight.
