Is the US Presidential 2008 election a world election?

This topic has come up on many national and international news broadcasts and media here in the US. It is said that the US Presidential 2008 election is talked about in many bars, cafes and coffee shops all over the world. It is said that Obama fascination is sweeping the world! Is this true in Bohol?...joey

I don't know about the world's view on Obama, but I can tell you that he is loved in my college.
We had a fundraising for him recently, over 300 students came, the entire campus center was packed.

Obama has been doing good over Clinton in the past primaries.  I think he will win. :D

Here's an excerpt of one of the news posted in cnn.com tonight:

To say "the world is watching" the election would be an understatement. In fact, it has attracted an unprecedented level of interest overseas. Arab satellite networks are shelling out big bucks to send reporters to trail the candidates around the country.

Foreign diplomats have traveled to primaries such as Iowa and New Hampshire and confess their governments are far more interested in discussing the latest from the campaign trail than they are talking about the dry diplomatic issues of today.
