LONG WEEKEND AHEAD!

As we welcome the long weekend, our primary focus should be on ensuring safety. Whether you're embarking on a journey, indulging in outdoor pastimes, or merely seeking some respite, the Department of Tourism Central Visayas office wishes to convey the following reminders to ensure the safety and convenience of the travelling public:

1. If you are driving, make sure your car is in good condition for a road trip.
2. Pack an emergency preparedness kit, supplies, and a first aid kit including personal medications.
3. Check the weather before departing and along your route.
4. Be well-rested and alert.
5. Stay in shaded areas or if going on a road trip and take breaks to hydrate in order to avoid heatstroke.
6. Follow warning signs for safety.
7. Save emergency numbers in your phone such as the police, hospital hotlines, and local disaster risk reduction offices.
8. Properly manage one's personal trash and avoid single-use plastics by bringing personal water tumblers and utensils.
9. It is highly encouraged to engage the services of DOT Accredited tourism enterprises such as hotels, transportation, travel and tour services, tour guides, and other tourism-related establishments.

Amping and ensure safety as you enjoy your travels to our various destinations. Happy long weekend!
