With a string of hit singles and a "champion" title to his name, Jerome Sala's "Gulong ng Palad" has really turned, making him one of the most sought-after male balladeers in the country.
Almost a year after he was named the Grand Champion of the first season of the "Search for A Star in a Million," this crooner from Bohol admits that he leads a better life at present, but makes it a point to always bear the lessons of his humble beginnings.
This is evident in the heartfelt performances that Jerome dishes out on special shows and regular spots on Sunday musical program "ASAP." "Whatever things I had to bear in the past, it made me a better person, performer," he says. "I sing from my heart, which was hurt many times over."
At such an early age, Jerome was already destined to be a singer. In fact, with the song "One in a Million You," he has managed to go to school for free. Jerome promises to continue singing the songs of his heart and follow in the footsteps of his idols, Concert King Martin Nievera and Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano.
With his self-titled debut album, Jerome Sala, at such an early stage in his career, has epitomized what a "Pinoy Crooner" ought to be- sensitive, passionate, warm, charming and honest.
