Brothers face murder charge

A CASE of murder was filed against two brothers at the provincial prosecutor’s office over the shooting to death of a farmer last month.

Mario Malubay and brother Genesis of barangay Montesuerte, Carmen were allegedly identified by the victim and their names mentioned before he died.

The victim, Gavino Calmba, 38 was walking one night with his wife on their way home when he noticed some persons following them. He told his wife to go ahead and minutes later shots were heard. When the wife came back, he found his husband sprawled with gunshot wounds in his body.

The victim died at the Gov. Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital in this city.
