INGKING PROMOTED TO 2-STAR PNP GENERAL

Boholano Edgardo Casiguran Ingking received a very special birthday gift on 20th August 2014 when he took his general’s oath in front of President Aquino at the Malacanang Palace.  His promotion to Police Director (2-star General) of the Philippine National Police came after 36 years in the military service. 

He currently holds the position of Director of the Directorate for Integrated Police Operations in Western Mindanao (DIPO-WM).  He is also the PNP Focal Person for the Bangsamoro Peace Process supervising the operations of Police Regional Offices 9, 12 and Autonomous Regions of Muslim Mindanao (ARMM).  For this role, he works directly with the Office of the Presidential Assistant on the Peace Process (OPAPP) and serves as adviser and consultant to the different peace tables on all matters related to policing. In line with this role, Ingking has been installed as one of the 3-Member, Board of Directors (Task Force) of Lanao del Sur Electric Cooperative (LASURECO) on August 7, 2014 by the Inter-Agency Committee (IAC), represented by Hon. Mar Roxas, Secretary of Interior and Local Government; Hon. Voltaire Gasmin, Secretary of National Defense and Hon. Carlos Jericho Petilla, Secretary of Energy to address serious pressing issues and manage the rehabilitation of the said electric cooperative, which supplies electric power to Marawi City and Lanao Provinces in Central Mindanao. 

He is also currently the Vice Chairman of the PNP Technical Working Group on the PNP Long-Term Integrated Transformation Program -Performance Governance System known as the PNP P.A.T.R.O.L. Plan 2030.

Ingking who is a graduate of Philippine Military Academy in 1982 was formerly Deputy Director - Police Regional Office 7, Chief of Staff - Police Regional Office 7, Provincial Director - Bohol Provincial Police Office, City Director - Mandaue City Police Office, Chief of Police - Tagbilaran City Police Station, Regional Chief - Regional Maritime Unit 7, and Contingent Commander - UN Police Advisers in Liberia, West Africa.

He believes in lifelong learning hence he equipped himself with Masters in Public Administration.  He is also a holder of Civil Service Career Service Executive Eligibility (CSEE) and a Certified Security Professional (CSP) by the Philippine Society of Industrial Security (PSIS).

Pride of Bohol and a native of Tagbilaran, he is the son of Ens. Gorgonio Ingking Sr. and Alicia Casiguran Ingking. He is married to nee Marlene Garcia of Cortes, Bohol and blessed with 3 sons and 1 grandson who reside in Cebu City.
