This is so sad and so unnecessary!
A Chinese man, known only as Mr. Yu, is suing a Beijing animal hospital over the death of his dog.
Don't feel bad for Yu, though, he was the one who sent his dog there for plastic surgery.
This wasn't reconstructive surgery or anything, it was a facelift to make his Tibetan Mastiff more attractive to buyers.
Tibetan Mastiffs are incredibly rare and expensive dogs, with some easily selling well into the hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Yu said: "The skin of my dog’s head was very flabby, so I wanted to cut part of his forehead and straighten the skin. If my dog looks better, female dog owners will pay a higher price when they want to mate their dog with mine."
Yu owns a Beijing dog farm and is suing for over $140,000 because that's about how much he bought the dog for originally.
So sad a dog had to die just because his owner wasn't happy making a few hundred thousand.
R.I.P. poor doggy.
