It is very powerful, the lyrics, in its original Spanish version spews out such exceedingly fervent nationalisimo. The dichotomy utilized is similar to that used in Latin American countries' national anthem; per se in Mexico, Argentina, and Peru. The words used in our national anthem pierces through the heart and soul and brings us back to the old days, of what our ancestors fought for, for what they gave their sweat, toil and blood for. It is very humbling, so much raw passion and nationalism in the Marcha Nacional Filipina
The Spanish Version:
Tierra adorada
Hija del sol de Oriente
Su fuego ardiente en ti latiendo esta.
Patria de amores!
Del heroismo cuna,
Los invasores
No te hallaran jamas.
En tu azul cielo, en tus auras,
En tus montes y en tu mar
Esplende y late el poema
De tu amada libertad.
Tu pabellon, que en las lides
La victoria ilumino
No vera nunca apagados
Sus estrellas y su sol.
Tierra de dichas, del sol y amores,
En tu regazo dulce es vivir.
Es una gloria para tus hijos,
Cuando de ofenden, por ti morir.
Dong, thanks for posting this because I forgot na the 3rd stanza. I memorized this when I was still in college.
