Calle, you know that my Lolo would give people rides even if they could not afford the fee?
I can remember when I went out with Lolo sa una i was about 4 or 5 years of age; mo hilak man jud ko sa una ug di ko pa ubanon ninya sa iyang drive. Plus, he is my favorite Lolo, hahahaha. So mo uban ko ninja; siya mo drive ug ako iyang pasahero. Mo ingoon man jud to si Lolo Ciano nako, "Ondoy, imung responsibilidad mo count sa mga pasahero" haha.
Lolo went everywhere to sa una. He would drive to Jagna, to Garcia Hernandez, etc. And mo drive pood tu sija sa bukidnon area. Daghang tawo didto dili maka afford sa pliti, pero Lolo would give them rides.
Instead of paying him with peso, lolo would accept the payment of frutas, saging, mango, mga kanonon gud.
That is why his business was so successful because mo barter pood sija; ug maayo man sija to others who could not afford.
Imagine ka, Calle, my lolo was the eldest of 12 children. He grew up intawn luuy kaayo sa Anas. My Lolo Ciano went to Mindanao pood when he was younger as worker.
