Some Unpaved Roads in Barangay Anas, Valencia
« on: April 18, 2011, 12:23:49 AM »
To my fellow Valencianhons, concerned citizens, and friends,

It has been made known to me by personal visitation and from by word of mouth that there are some roads in Valencia , private roads, that are unpaved. The main high way that cuts through Valencia is well maintained and paved, however, there are some roads in the interior of the town that are still unpaved.

This past summer in July-August 2010, I drove my 2002 Isuzu Crosswind with my grandfather from Sawang , Valencia all around Valencia. Driving through the border of Dimiao and Valencia and through Valencia's Eastern Gate of Baranggay Anas.

There is a road that is past the Anas Elementary School in Valencia , one takes a left there and this road cuts through Anas, and through Baranggay Manga beyond.

My Lolo Ciano and I were driving through this (i of course was the driver and he was the passenger, lol; sa unang panahon it was he who was the driver of Salvo Lines and I was his first mate, bwahaha) i was amazed and shocked how the roads were not paved! There were still jagged rocks and bulkheads that were detrimental to people and drivers alike.

When I was in Bohol, I purchased off-road tires (which cost me 4,500 pesos per tire and had them installed on my truck), yet even with these tires, it seemed as if the truck and the tire were in jeapordy because of the rocks and the incline of the road. As we were driving by we saw people walking down the road. I was shocked when I asked one, a member of the Salvo/Salise Clan (a distant relative of mine) she said that when it rains, the road is almost impassable for motor and cars and can be dangerous for people on foot.

I asked Dr. Plinio Lim (a former mayor of Valencia) one time about the status of these roads and he said that it all is responsibility of the current administration kono. I just wish they could pave this road. Because this road connects baranggay Manga and Anas together and then interjects to the Provincial High way.

To our current Administration in Valencia, Please, consider paving this road in Anas. Please also consider paving the roads that are still un-cemented in Valencia.

Daghang Salamat. Let us continue to work together to better our Pinakapinanggang yuta na tawhan...atong Valencia.

Yours in Christ,
Lorenzo Salvo Lucino
