The Bohol Football Association (BOHFA), in cooperation with Bohol Star Press and the Provincial Government of Bohol, had just concluded its second major tournament--the BOHFA CUP 2011--held at the CPG Sports Complex last September 10-11, 2011.

The festival was participated in by Football Clubs (FCs) in Tagbilaran City and from the municipalities in the province.

The FCs involved were Panglao White Sharks a team composed of foreigners based in Panglao, Tubigon FC, Jagna FC, Tamblot United, Petronas FC, Fresh Meadows, Tamsik FC and school-based teams PMI Colleges, University of Bohol, Bohol National High School and City Central School/Tamblot Bombers.

Holy Name University confirmed it's entry but later backed out on the last minute because of coaching staff lapses.

Categories on this event were the Men's Open, under 17, and under 12.

In the Men's Open category the championship match was played between the Petronas FC vs.Tamblot United. The league favorites Tamblot United clinched with Petronas FC in an upset 2-O victory.

In the Under-17 category the Tubigon FC defeated Jagna FC in an exciting penalty kick which gave Tubigon FC Coach Ploy Cosgafa boys the upper hand after 7 kickers.

Tamblot Bombers beat Jagna FCin the under 12 category in their best of 5 match.

The festival was spearheaded by BOHFA officials Coach Tady Simpao and Engr. Dario Rosalejos and officiating consultant Allan Dinsay with referees Karl Paumig , Jun-Jun Echavia and table official Louie Supremo.

BOHFA will soon announce its upcoming major provincewide football event which is targeted in the last quarter of the year.

Meanwhile, BOHFA had a joint project with the Dauis Parish and concluded the 1st Dauis Men’s Open 7-aside Football Festival last August 20, 2011 at the Dauis Parish mini-football pitch. The event was participated in by different FCs in Bohol wherein Tamblot United grabbed the championship trophy with a win against Panglao White Sharks.

The Dauis event was organized by BOHFA officials and parish priest Fr. Jimboy Saco with CAFÉ LAWIS, Bohol Star Press and Coca-Cola.
