Three island barangays in the municipality of Tubigon received P600-thousand worth of grants from the Department of Labor and Employment.
On behalf of Bilangbilangan, Barangay Captain Rogelio Obguia received P206,000, while Mocaboc Barangay Captain Rogelio Ybañez received P200,000 for is barangay and Bagongbanwa Barangay Captain Jovencia Heluano received P194,000 for his barangay.
The financial assistance was intended for the fish cage projects of the three island barangays.
Beneficiaries of the project were overwhelmed upon the seeing their dream come true after years of waiting.
Tubigon Mayor Luna Piezas hosted the event’s guests that included Department of Labor and Employment and the Office Regional Director Elias Cayanong, DOLE-Bohol Provincial Head Nelson Cenas, OWWA OIC Director May Cordillo, POEA Director Evelia Durato.
